Hey everyone: it's your girl, beat of Nia natural hair and today we're going to get into this lace front tutorial. Today, we're gon na be working on a crocheted lace, front wig, the wig cap that I'll be using is from the make-your-own. U part wig line. I got this wig cap at my local beauty supply store. I decided to go with this wig cap because I felt that it was really good for beginners or people that kind of want that lace front. Look without having to do one whole. Thirteen by four or five or even six kind of lace front it gives you that whole entire eat at your look and then you just kind of have to focus on your part and in this wig we'll be working on the middle part. Here is the wig off of the canvas head. It'S very light, breathable very airy. This is one another reason why I like this wig. I also like this wig, because you don't have to make your own wig. I know there's a lot of other amazing youtubers out here that showed a tutorial similar to this, and I just really didn't want to have to use a crochet wig and sew a lace material on myself. Oh another reason why I like this wig is because it does have small holes in it, so your crochet needle can indeed just slip through without you know, any trouble. Now the wig cap does come with combs that you can sew on yourself, but I do suggest getting a thick elastic band so that you can so once you're completed your lace front wig. So the hair that we'll be using is free, tresses, three time braids yaki bounce hair. Now I'm sure you guys have either seen this hair or used it yourself. I believe it's one of the best hair for crochet. It is very easy to you. It is very forgiving. I know that from a stylist point of view, this is one of the number one hairs that I use for my clients, it's even great for those that have never had since that ever crochet hair before and they're trying to get into that. You know that look now the hair comes in three small bundles in the pack. I do suggest that you prepare the individual strands before starting. I took the rubber bands off, as you can see here, and then I just take about one to two strands in my hands and separate it into smaller sections, and then I just start in this back area now, for each section I would say, I separated each Strand into about eight to nine pieces, if you need a frequent reference, that's about how small I went as far as the the strands when installing into the back of the the wig cap, I did kind of go in with like a bricklayer method, so I install The first row, and then the next row I just and made sure I installed in between the previous row, to make sure I have as much coverage as possible without giving the hair a really bulky. Look now working on this first section, I am using a pretty small, a Chuck needle I'll go ahead and link down below in the description section I pack of needles, you can actually grab from Amazon it comes with about. I want to say about five different sized needles. This is a great pack because I use the three smallest needles, actually that it comes in. This is the first night that I finish working on this wig, as you can see, are a tree started working on the front of the lace section. I do not recommend doing that. I kind of got anxious and really wanted to just kind of let my creativity flow. I would actually recommend doing what I'm doing now and finishing the whole entire back before moving on to the lace portion of the wig. Now this is day three of me working on the wig. I finally finished the back. Well, not. Finally, I ended up like one to two hours a day and it took me about six days to finish the wig, a total of about eight to nine hours when you're working on this wig or a wig like this, a lace front, wig that you kind of Want to experiment with, I definitely definitely recommend taking your time. A lot of people have said. You know you have a lot of patience to work on something like this, but the honest truth is I. It was really just relaxing. I was not rushing. I didn't have a deadline to finish this wig or for anybody or for myself or anything like that. So I think that's also key so again. Moving back to that front area, just practicing my ventilating or crocheting, as you would say, or some people would say, and now I'm moving on to the second portion of the net. Now here I'm moving to a different size. Needle can't really see it that well, but once you guys see the link that I post in the description section you'll definitely know what latch hook that I'm I'm using here. This is actually going to be the logic that I'm going to be using for the remainder of the install it's a little bit flimsy, but once you kind of get used to it, you'll be fine. So in this area, I'm separating and kind of prepping the strand separating it multiple times before I kind of let it sit on my finger and I'm starting from this section, I'm going to just grab a few strands as opposed to. I believe it was probably like 8, 9 or 10 strands in the first portion of the the wig. I decided to crochet some hair around this band here that you see me working on. I find that if I do this wig again I'll probably do the same thing, but maybe add a little bit more hair around that band to ensure that you're getting enough coverage now once I finish this section, you'll move on to that lighter that black net area, That you see there, I'm gon na use, I'm gon na be using the same needle same technique from here on out. I'M just going to make sure that I'm using about, I want to say four to five strands per per knot and then, as you can see here, this is another day's work of me working on this wig. I ended up working on one half and then finishing on the other half it's another thing. I do not recommend you do going back to what I said earlier. I definitely recommend you finishing the whole entire back portion and then gradually working your way to the front. All together, the reason being is that, although the way came out really really good even better than I thought it would, I had to constantly go to the other side that I finished to try to mimic the side that I was working on and you'll see that Here you all right, so we are halfway done with the front, as you can see now I doing this, I learned that it goes a long way to go from about three strands, to two strands, to one strand, doing that three-two-one when you're installing the hair into Your lace, it really gives them the most natural look possible when I first started the this first half of the lace. I wasn't doing that and I quickly kind of caught on to that gradient. Look on how to give that the most natural look as possible - and that is that is what's really helps now here, I'm doing the same thing I that it did before kind of opening my strand up like so, and I'm doing that so that, when it relaxed On my hand, it's easier to pick up just a few strands at a time if you don't open up the strand, it's kind of hard for you to pick up one two three strands depending on where you're installing the hair. Now what I really want to show you guys is what I learned doing the front of this wig cap. Now you see this band here that I'm pointing to right here this band here now. One of the things that I mentioned before is kind of installing the hair on the net, all at the same time when working on this band. This is one of the reasons why you want to do so is so that you can kind of remember how you're installing the strands as you're getting to what would be that your edges on the cap and as you're working your way up like so you want To go from about adding, I did about four or five strands at the at that thick strand or that base right there and then, as I worked my way up, I went from four to five to three to two to right at the edge I just installed. One strand at a time - and you can kind of see that on the side that I have already finished, so what we're gon na do now is just install. You probably can't really see it well, but what I'm doing here is I'm installing that four or five, sometimes probably even six strands right at the base, so that it's thick enough to cover that thick black band. That'S right there and once I get as you can see the strand there or the strand sorry, once I get a few strands and I'll work, my way up, thank you so much for stopping by my channel.
