How To: Turn An Old Wig Into A Ponytail | Deep Wave Closure Wig To Curly Ponytail

So you guys see this Obama's ponytail. When I tell you it was a struggle and a half to do not lying, but it was a cute fun little process, I'm definitely gon na. Do it again now that I kind of figured it out. So if you want to see how you can transform, when your old curly, wigs or straight wings into Obama's thick ass, amazing ass, bad Beach, ponytail stay tuned for the walkthrough, I'm not gon na call it a tutorial, but y'all can follow along if you want. So I'm going somewhere tomorrow, Oh James, my hair, doesn't stay straight, is kinda in this in-between blood things just fine for work, but you know I'm into the dramatics. I think dramatic and I've been wanting to try a ponytail for a while. That'S what we're gon na do. We are going to turn our way. I just detangled it. This is a deep way way that I made so it doesn't have like all the nice Hudson. So that's gon na make it easier for me. I'M gon na figure out how to do it I'll be chopped right now, so it's Matt Lee and I'm Matt's up to do, but we want to use some eco styler gel not too much to my still. So I'm jumping in and out with the voiceovers, because this video does not have to be 30 minutes long with me trying to talk to you guys to do it. So what I was saying was, if you have natural hair, only use a little bit of eco styler gel to slick your hair down, because it will make your hair revert back and not match the texture of your ponytail and nobody's trying to be out here. Looking Calaca below honey, so we're going to get a little bun as possible. I think I'm gon na work physically roll the legs. So the reason why I'm rolling the front of the wig like that is because I'm trying to hide the closure and then I'm securing it with bobby pins. If you can find the extra extra large bobby pins those ones work way better. I was using the little tiny ones that they kept popping out, especially because the wig cap was mad thick. So it's just a struggle, but if you can find the big hefty big heavy-duty ones, they will work so well. I had like two and they didn't even move. You want to flip the hair over and then put the pins in the back so that, like the entire perimeter of the ponytail, is secured on to your heads. So securing it just takes a little bit of finessing. A lot of trial and error, to be honest, so I found that the best way to do it after the pins cuz. You need both in my opinion, if you want it to be secure and not fall off. Your head in the middle of a function is to get like a headband that you broke in the middle so that you can wrap it around kind of like a ribbon or like a shoelace, and you just tie in and twist it and tie it see right Here I was struggling honey. It was so much hair getting in the way, but just wrap it around the best. You can tighten it secure it, the best you can and as long as you can kind of move your head around and it feels like it's not gon na fall off and you're good, and I'm here, I'm basically just trying to make it trying to make the Tracks and the closure uncrackable, so I'm just like wrapping the hair around flipping the different hairs around trying to find the best way for it to not look like an old way. So this takes a little bit of time you just kind of have to play with it and see what happens. We just have to kind of do a better job at concealing the top I'm gon na bring this over, because this is the wave wave. So, like you can see this track and then I'm looking at these pictures and people he's like they might be some weekend, but it would click straight as he lets them straight month or so after wetting it. I just detangled a couple tracks a little bit just to make sure they're very nice and smooth, and then I clipped a bobby pin to it and I hooked it to the back of the hair. Now it might not look like this step is necessary, but when I tried to redo this hairstyle without doing this, it was so much more plausible and it was so much harder for me to wrap the hair around because, as you can see, I did a lot Of finessing trying to make sure that the hair was exactly where I wanted to place it and then to take those hairs and then have to wrap it around again. This made it my life so much harder. So definitely, if you have some extra hair or extra tracks use that instead of your ponytail hair, to wrap it around the headband or deep hair tie whatever you use to secure the week, it's not this, but it has one cat lon. Let'S give me some good baby right: oh, are you thinking sleep, the baby here? No, what you say was a move, be real hairstylist. Extreme, no Bernie fix your face. Now it's cuz, I'm focused, but as far as the baby hairs go, I don't really have like a foolproof technique because I hit or miss when I come to my baby hair. So one thing I will tell you is to apply product as you go, because edge control does dry pretty quickly. So if you apply it to your whole hairline, it's gon na get dry. But if you do do that, all you have to do is wet your brush, which is what you see me doing when I dip the brush down. Is I just put a little water on it, flash it off and then that loosens up the edge control you get some final final clips at the end, cuz I'm actually going out in this so crazy. The whole world knows he's is brunch gon na be deep breath. I mean here's a good actually now find an outfit see you guys in the morning. You know you're able to say that you're, fine and you're not really fun, but you just can't get into it because cold done up this, but it was for a purpose, because now I can edit this video and finish it post it and all that good stuff.
