Hi again, so I went to the beauty supply store. I shot that a lot and I bought a wig. This is the first time I ever bought a full wig, but I am going to turn it into a custom topper. The wig that I bought was from Isis, it's the brown sugar collection, seamless lace, the name of the wig is Valencia, it is style, vs 5:01, and I got it in the color number two. So here is the wig my head very pretty. It is a human hair, synthetic blend. You cannot use heat on this wig, but she's going to hold her curl and it was cheaper than say a human hair complete human hair. So I can definitely tell the difference that there are some synthetic fibers in here. It is a little bit thicker than all of my human hair products. It came with lace, there was a just like our unit wig Stoppers, and I cut the lace back to the hairline. I tweeze my parts and my hair lines on my products. My toppers bang pieces whatever it is, I buy, I always tweeze them. I cannot tweeze this. I attempted I attempted to tweeze her scalp a little bit and the hairline to kind of thin it because it is so thick there was. I was. I was going to put a hole in the lace, so I had to stop. I had to stop too easy, so I'm going to put this wig on for you. This is going to be an adventure for both of us, so you put your front in first and then you put it around the back. Now I have my hair and a little ponytail on the back and there's a comb in the back of the wig okay. So I put the wig over the foam hair and put the comb underneath my ponytail and I don't have it tight on my head. I don't have. It would be a lot tighter than this and like fit better, but I do not have the clips there's an elastic band around the back. I do not have. I want to pull my bangs out to make that hairline look a little bit more natural at all. Slicked back the ladies I'm here to tell you this sucker is hot okay. That is why I have decided. I need my rat tail comb. That is why I have decided to turn this into a custom topper. So much better. That part was killing me because it is just simply scorching. Okay, I do not like it. It is probably because I am used to wearing human hair and not wearing a full wig. So if I played with it a little bit, then I brushed it. I don't have it clipped to anything, so I got to kind of hold it while I putting it on it's, not especially if I pull that hair line back and then I would camouflage that a little bit. It is not too bad of a hairstyle, but let me tell you it is hot. I mean it is hot, so it's a very cute wig, but it's gon na have to go bye-bye. Okay, so I'm going to customize this wig I'll. Tell you more about the league in that I'm going to customize this wig into a topper for me, and I'm going to attempt to show you how to do that. I'M gon na have to figure out where I can set my camera to you very cute. It'S very cute hairstyle, it's just much much too much too much hair too hot so and I would have to make it really tight because there's a lot of cap room, it's very stretchy for a big hair underneath or big head underneath. I have a small head. So this is not. This is not good. For me, it's very cute, though so, oh that's, rough rough, it's rough under there, alright! So a little about a wig. Maybe some of you have not seen a lot of wigs. I'Ve never actually worn a wig, but I know a little bit about them. This is a front lace, wig and where the part is they call this parting space? Okay, this lace piece right here and that's where you can make your parts anywhere in that 3 by 5 section and you will be able to see your scalp through it. So it looks a lot more natural you're going to see your your skin tone through. You see my hand you're going to see your skin tone through that 3 by 5. Parting space is what they call that there are two combs in the front of the cap for like when you have your hair braided. You would put this on and then clip those combs underneath your braids, and it would keep your wig secure and there is a third comb in the back of the cap by the tag Isis and that would go up and underneath of your ponytail or your braids. Ever now what and then they have these little stretchy? These are our elastic bands that are adjustable, so you can pull this tight around your head. It'S adjustable to everybody said. I that's why it looked kind of funny kind of big because I didn't have it secured in any way. I didn't have it clipped. Obviously, these little combs slide right through my hair, so it doesn't do any good. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to cut this thing apart and I'm going to turn it inside out on my leg, my styrofoam head now I have decided where I want to cut this wig. It is right by the ear tab. There is. Do you see that there's a very nice solid, seam stitch right there, the edge of that lace, and I can cut right below that's that seam and it's not going to loosen the construction of the wig, because that seam is very secure and what's underneath there is A wig cap you'd probably be able to see a better for turn it inside out that has wefts sewn into it. Let me turn this little bad boy fit it on my head. It'S late. She doesn't want to cooperate. Okay! No! This is my wig inside out. Okay on my Styrofoam head, I should have done this in the first place. Alright, so right here is the ear tab. Okay, that is a very solid scene and there's a little bit of cap and in between here these are tracks, okay, hair tracks and all they are attached to is by this little band right here. So I can. I can cut across this mesh and not cut any hair, I'm not going to cut any hair off this wig. I'M going to cut these bands here here here here here all the way around till I get to the seam on this side and I'm cutting below this seam, because that is a very solid seam stitched well strong and I don't want to ruin the construction. If I cut through that seam it's gon na be loose, it's gon na I'm gon na have to stitch that. So, while my cap, while my hair, is inside out, I lied. I'M gon na get I'm gon na separate, so I can see between the tracks because I do not want to cut any of the hair now I've separated it see. So I can cut right here at this seam, where the ear is. I can cut right. There see that I'm not cutting through any hair, I'm only cutting through mesh okay and then, when I go on around, I am just cutting rubber bands. There'S no hair all the way around. It'S just the rubber bands, the rubber and the troll okay. So I am gon na go ahead and do that I will be right back and I'm back okay, I have not cut it yet. What I did was put the wig on on the head. The right way. I separated all of the hair that I want to keep and I rubber band it in the front. Okay, now right here is the ear tab that I showed you and that very nice seam that I want to keep crazy hair. Stick it out I'm going to cut right here right underneath that very very thick, seam, okay and here we go okay, so be so much easier if I have a better way to hold my camera, but I don't so I've shown you where I'm gon na cut. It'S right below that seam right there and I'm just gon na set it down. I do that because I do not what to mess up this week. So no time like the present, maybe said scary, but you just jump in you just jump in okay. So here's my first cut. Okay. Now we continue around the wig, my cut okay. This is the front part. This is what I'm keeping and I'm just cutting through those elastic bands where there is no actually no hair there. Okay, the track. The track is right here and all these seams are still attached they're all the same, I'm not cutting through any stitches, so there's not going to be any any loose loose edges, there's not going to be any loop scenes, but even if there was you just take A needle and thread and all so I'm up. Okay! Now I'm not going to lie to you, I'm going to finish doing this well, let's laying down here, because I want to make sure I get it right and okay she's off. She is off all right. Here'S! My topper complete with styrofoam balls right, okay, and here is the part of the wig that I took off. It is the back of the cap. Okay, now these tracks are very, very nice. These are very nice. This is a very nice piece and I guarantee you that I can make something lovely out of all these beautiful black curls. Look. If you flip it over, I might have a whole nother gun. You see that little bun just need a needle and thread. That'S all. I got it alright, so here's what's left, there's what's left now, I'm gon na take ponytail out shake her out, shake her out, flip it and fine. Here'S the lace now see. There'S no there's no more wig cap just a little right here and you can always take off more which I may find, but you can't as easily put it back on so then brush it out, can't hurt us thing. This is the brush. I got from Yoona wigs, it's very nice. Very nice wig brush very soft bristles. Okay. Now I don't know what this is going to look like. I don't have any blade clips, but oh so much better. That is so much better. The weight, the weight of it alone of all that hair. Oh my gosh, and see on see how hot it is, I'm sweating so hot in here already now my hair is in a ponytail. My natural hair is that pointy and I don't have any concealer on my scalp. I don't have any spray, but that is so much better. So much better already, so we take put my chopper over here. I should have done this first, this videos go suck brush. My hair out because see you wear your earring Stoppers you'd like to make apart and match that part right before you clip it down. So when I put this topper on what I'm gon na do, is I'm going to take these combs out of here and I'm going to put three clips, I'm going to put the pressure clips, I'm going to sew them here and maybe up here on this on This nice seam by the lace, it's a very heavy-duty seam and I don't think it will break now the way I will wear this, I'm on a day without wear it so probably be reserved for fancy nights out. Here'S those combs okay. Now, just imagine if I lined that up and but my pressure clips in now here's my hair underneath okay, so what I will do on a day that I'm going to wear this and I have the clips in it. I will take my little my little brush with my color and I will fix that hairline and this is going to be pulled tight to my head. Remember: okay, we do a! Let me give her a little brush, so she doesn't look so rough her back. I will curl my hair, my natural hair underneath and then clip this little puppy on. So it's going to be pulled tight like that, I'm just gon na look so much better. I hope you can see this my hair underneath. Okay, that is how you cut a wig into a custom topper. That is how the process works. It'S pretty easy! If you find a wig that you like and you're having a hard time finding a topper that matches your hair color, you could probably find a wig. I'M sorry, I'm salon you'll probably find a way that matches your hair color and if you have a little bit of bang or even if you don't there, there's instructional videos on how to look look. I don't have any concealer. I don't have any once. That'S clipped down and I put a little bit of black powder right there. Look at that and it's clipped tight to my head. It'S very cute, it's very cute, so I may decide yet to take off a couple more layers. That just means I have to cut another weft, that's all like the in between the the tracks. I'M going to take these stitches out where the combs are and I'm going to sew, wig clips here by the ears and I'm going to sum them up here on the edge of the lace. That'S right here and right here and right here and right here and probably one in the back and that, ladies, is a custom topper made out of a wig. So if you like my videos and you want to see more, I have oh so much more subscribe and I appreciate you watching. Thank you very much.

Susan Degand: You did an amazing job! Thank you for teaching me!

Trish KZ: Tiff...you have given me hope. I have a couple beautiful wigs that I can't wear because it's too hot. I'm going to get those babies out and customize them into toppers. Thank you for posting this.

Nola A: You did a great job! Sometimes I used the glue made for extensions to help hold my toppers on. I also sew more of the pressure clips onto the base than I think I'll need, because I need all the help I can get to hold the topper on. I love it that you are saving the rest of the wig to transform into another piece; be sure and show us what you did with it! I'm subscribed now and I read your posts on June's fb group page.

Debra Covington: TIFF, you are truly awesome!!!!! my hair looks pretty much like yours. I think I have even less tho...I hate it, but you give me hope....you funny and cute as a bug in a rug. Serafina Snow: Well aren't you just the coolest hair genie? Look, it's a wig... but after you wave your magic scissors... Poof! It's a topper! You made that look so easy. Awesome job!

maryd1971: Your video is awesome. Cannot thank you enough for sharing. First time I've ever felt like I can look as if I actually have hair again. I had no idea how to do any of this.

Tamee Lee: Looks great! The back is beautifully wavy!

Crimson: Great instruction & closeup of the cut wefts. With naturally curly/wavy hair, finding a light wavy synthetic topper is almost impossible. Turning a wig into a topper is the way to go. I haven't done this yet but I will be trying it.

Lisa Barnett: Tiffany Hudson you are SO EXTRAORDINARY. Thanks for sharing your techniques on disguising thin hair. So thankful for you!!!!

MagicWorker1: That’s brilliant! I like how you talk in an almost whisper - like you’re telling a secret! Ha! I really enjoyed watching. Thanks for posting.

Lisa Barr: this video does NOT suck! lol... you have taught us so much in only 23 minutes... awesome! ;-)

Eye on art: I cut my noriko reese wig sandy silver into a topper and I love it it blends so nicely with my graying hair and is not so blazing hot, I love it.

Edna Rogers: Loved it thank you so much. Just what I was looking for.

Gabriele Reynolds: Wonderful and very natural tutorial. Thanks a lot

maxfactor315: Thank you for your video on turning a full wig into a custom topper. I did it on one of my wigs and I love how I can wear my hair out in the back and the wig feels airy on my head. I will probably do this to all my wigs, Thanks for sharing your story

Maritza Figueredo: Wow that was amazing I can only imagine that topper and your make up all done you would look even more beautiful !!! You make it seem so easy you are very talented.

Lisa Goolsby: Your videos are so well done, you explain and demonstrate everything so clearly! I just wish I were as creative as you! I would have destroyed that wig if I had tried to do that. I like how natural you are instead of a lot of the cheesy girls that get on you tube with such fake personalities.

Evelyn Craig: Omg! Thank you for explaining what a lace front wig is and what the purpose of them is!! (I am totally new to hair extensions, toppers and wigs).

Patty Carosi: First I want to say you are a geniuse. I love your channel, having found you just the other day I have learned so much. I really was ment to see this review today. Now I know this is a old review I just found you on you tube yesterday. So you did a great job it was so easy to understand you explaining this idea. I am going to try this on one of my old wigs right now. I sleep in the old wig but this is a great idea. I have a question for you I need more hair on the sides and front but my back is very full (thick)what would you do as far as a topper? Thank you so much. Off to watch more of your reviews so I can keep learning all these ideas.

Nadia Paz: You did a good job!! I'm planning to do the same..a wig converted in topper

Amanda Lynn Hall: You are so good at this I wish I could fix my hair like you do. God bless!!

ar ar: Even without curling your own hair it still blends n beautifully, great video ☺❤

Alterjunkie: Holy cow that turned out fabulous. I've been having trouble finding a topper so I think I'll do this, Thumbs UP :-) It looks great on you

Julie Tittle: Thanks for information, it looks so great on you. I’m a breast cancer survivor and looking for options. The chemo treatments made my hair very thin. Thanks again

All things with Myrita Sanchez: Awesome tutorial!! I would’ve loved to see a video in how you put the clips!! You think you can make one for us???❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Lisa Brown: I really like that since you chose to cut a lace front wig, you have those side/temple sections, which are attached and can be secured on the sides of the head, giving you more hair there and a more secure fit. The standard cap wigs, I think, have mostly the crown section that can be used as a topper but no side sections. It is great and works. Love this video, I need to try this.

gro bennett: What a great tutorial and you look good in the wig!

Rachel G: Genius idea! Thanks for sharing ♡♡♡

C. Rodriguez: Ur video definitely didn't suck... Very informative and just what I was looking for. Thanks so much. U look great!

Amy Thomas: I realize this is an older video but you are so flipping adorable! I love your calm quiet nature. I'm betting you're one of those people who easily makes friends! Heck, I'd like to be your friend LOL I'm a huge people lover so I watch for people just like you constantly. Love the hair too.

Brit G: I love this!!! Wig toppers are so pricey and surprisingly, wigs are far more affordable. Wig toppers are like $400-$1,000 .. Thank You!

Tammy Kuhlman: Wow you are absolutely amazing and I appreciate your videos more than you could ever imagine I am extremely new to wearing wigs and actually I went in to the wig shop to find me a nice topper but they end up talking me into getting a wig well needless to say I am having a very hard time wearing the wig only because it is just way too hot and it doesn’t help that I’m in menopause so I am constantly hot and sweating with wearing the wig so I am definitely going to cut this week apart and try to turn it into a wig topper I pray to God that I do not screw it up the only thing I’m honestly concerned about is how do I clip in the little clips is there any possible way you could show me how that works thank you in advance and seriously you are absolutely amazing

mosthigh1db: Great job on the topper, it Looks pretty on you!!

motivate4change1: You need to get PAID for transforming looks and wigs!! You really need to make $$ doing this! U can help SO MANY PPL!!

Pebbles: I bet that feels much better on your head than a full wig! Turned out really great and you look beautiful! I'm afraid it would be a disaster if I tried it. Thanks for the helpful vid!

Megzzz: You're a genius!! You make it sound like fun too.

Annie's 'Views': Thank you so much for this video. You helped me alot!

Hey Red: You have saved my sanity! As a natural redhead I'm finding it impossible to get a topper even remotely close to my own color. SO DEPRESSING! My shiny scalp is showing terribly. I can't stand full wigs, like you I'm super heat sensitive and wigs are SO DAMN hot! Who wears a fur hat all year round? A "Nut Job" maybe, but I'm just a little crazy, not a full fledged Nut Job...YET! I'm going to find a reasonably priced mono top wig and cut it up! Yes I AM! Thanks to you Tiffany, you've given me some courage. My last concern is that I have fairly short hair, will that be an issue? It's just barely collar length, with lots of layers. The layers are to disguise how thin it is, I can fluff the devil out of it. That gives me about 18 hours to come out of hiding, able to be seen in public briefly. Again, Thanks for being a common sense, one step at a time, teacher. You have helped me.

Oshungurl: i Love You! I appreciate your courage, your patience, your willingness to share all that you do!!

586Rexford: You are amazing and helping so many of us!

Rita McNabb: Thank you for making this how to . . . My hair is thinning due to stress and I agree I think wigs will be too hot for me.

Siobhán K.: Amazing Job!!! You could start a business out of this!!!!

Blackice 12345: Girl you rock. Between your voice and the crickets in the background I calmed down and felt so tranquil. You made a wiggy wig look soo natural. Great job.

Dawn Marsh: very helpful video tiffany you looked nice in the wig xx

Ziggy Stardust *: This is brilliant ! I have so many wigs that I don’t use cause it’s too hot and everytime I wear them , I feel I’m overheating ..but I’m definitely trying this ..I have a balayage but now I’m trying to let my natural hair color grow, since I still have really blonde ends I’m gonna use one of my blonde wigs as a topper to hide all my black roots ,that way I don’t look crazy and at the same time I don’t have to dye my roots ! thank you so much !

gspice71: Thank you! Your video is the only one that is easy to follow.

Annie's 'Views': Thank you,Thank you,Thank you!I just followed your video and turned my wig into a topper.Again thanks and God bless..

Marilyn Baldwin: THANK YOU SO MUCH ! YOU ARE GENIOUS !  I'm ready to cut about 10 wigs sitting in their boxes into toppers ! Maybe attempt to use leftover wefts to thicken the ugly wigs that are too thin in the back ! Or perhaps make my own 14-16 inch extension for the back like my friend purchased for $59 at a wig shop on SALE in Vegas ! Two wigs for the price of one !

Gloria Cely: Wow, this woman is amazing, this idea is really good

Pointing to the hair, and pull back up to see you again.
