how to detangle a synthetic wig, how to fix an ugly wig, restore a synthetic wig, how to fix a wig, revive a matted synthetic wig, how to fix old wigs, how to take care and maintain synthetic wig, rags to riches

So guys have you ever experienced a synthetic big horror story where you had a weight, you really really loved, but it turned into the bird nest. Well, I had it and I wanted to throw my wig away, but I decided no I'm going to fix it. I'M gon na take it from disastrous health. To now mind you, this wig was really really matted. I tried the boiling method to put girls in it and, as you can see, it backfired completely and it became kind of a furry course. Knotted fake plastic world disaster. The first up in his big transformation was to detangle it, which was hell and here's a clip of how it went to make it manageable. I divided the hair in sections and I use the Denman brush to kind of detangle it starting from the tips and going up to the root. The entire process took me about 45 minutes to an hour to just eat angle. It and I really do not recommend washing it before you detangle it, because all the knots will just become tighter. So this is the result, after an hour of detangling, still looks really really bad, but at least you can run your fingers through it again and look at these ends. Oh my goodness, for to watch this week, I'm using warm water, a laundry detergent pod. Just plain laundry detergent and the conditioner is going to be fabric softener now, there's bigger synthetic, so it makes no sense to use expensive shampoo and also these products will help make those synthetic strands softer, which is what you need when washing synthetic wig only use downward Motion, so you don't create extra tangles and make your life even more difficult if the end of your strands, look like mine, put some extra fabric softener on the tips to help soften them more for when you're going to steam. So the next step is to let it dry. I just hang it in the shower and let the air do its thing. If you love synthetic wigs, I really really recommend you to invest in the steamer. I have a very high professional one because my mom is on a clothing store, but you can just buy anything off of Amazon I'll link some down below, but I've tried a lot of different methods and the only thing that's ever worked for me. This well was steaming the hair, so I really recommend investing in it, especially if you have more synthetic wigs. So this is what it looks like after steaming, and I like my hair to have a little bit of body in life, so I'm definitely going to put in some curls. I didn't want to just put in the good stuff that I did, but I also wanted to show you some of my mistakes, which is coming up. I put way too many flexi rods in the hair and had too many curls in it. So in the end, it freezed up quite a lot and I went back to change it. You'Ll see that later in the video. But what I'm doing now is just using a flexi rod to throw the hair around it and I'm going to cover the entire wig head with a plastic bag and kind of create a mini steam room by putting the steamer in the plastic bag. Now, if you want really curly hair, this is a great method, but it's not a great method. If you just want a bit of waviness a few things I did wrong is weights many curls, as I said, but I also went through it with a brush which frizz it up completely. So in the end I had to go back. I left the front curls because I really liked those, but I took the rest of the hair and put it in one big, flexi rod and just steamed it like that. I let her hear aircrew for a few minutes, and then I took it out of the flexi rod and I started separating the curls by hand instead of using a brush and that resulted in exactly the type of waviness I wanted and for Allah. This is the end result. I really liked how the fabric softener soften up the hair and the detergent gave it a nice shine and also how the steamer did it to work. Jordan Frazier: If you don't have a steamer then while the hair is damp or wet apply 300-330 degree heat on it using an iron, and the same effects will happen. Synthetic hair is fiber so like clothes it can be flat ironed with water to get the wrinkles and frizziess out of it. It also helps to use silicone mix, it works better than fabric softner to me

Yea Rite: I just use a 1” curling iron to redefine the frizzy waves by wrapping sections of hair around the entire closed barrel after clamping down on the tips to smooth them out. A spritz of water helps with smoothing and curling #tfs

chellierocksit: Just tried this, and blown away by the results. Steamer worked wonders. Finally, a simple, workable solution. No more surfing through videos that don't work. Thank you!

~Daphne Amy's World~!: New Suscriber love your method❤

K.: Love your wig

Joongshim: I want this wig actually? Where did you get it from by chance?

Erika Kane: Steaming the hair with rollers in makes them damp. Too much for a synthetic. If cared for and stored properly you won't have those issues. I have a synthetic for a year. Never wash my units, I use dry shampoo. To straighten I use a ceramic flat iron and some Carol's Daughter Mimosa pomade. It makes the hair soooo soft and works great with heat. I recently had to cut ends off a unit Ari 24, she's very curly. I sat in front of my mirror and took my time curly the hair with a 1" curling iron. But to each it's own. But that 45 minutes to comb out...no mam. LOL

Demetrice Smith: Yaassss u did that!!!

Melenated Nellie: I’m screaming !!!!!! Girl what kinda of magic spells you casting!?? Beautiful

Kode Fashion: Amazing

EDashMan: Mixed the song in nicely with the video

Ella. A. Hodges: The thing is washing it is what tangled my wig in the first place

Tracean Priestley: Have a cheap wig. I didn't even have it for long but it gets frizzy and knotted with a little movement. Wash it in fabric softener, came out even worst. What am I to do? I search YouTube for videos and found yours. Its already clean and I have a little hand held steamer. Took me hours because the wig was very frizzy, dry and matted. The steamer is a GOD SEND for cheap synthetic hair. It is now drying looking like I flat ironed it. It looks do shiny and sleek. I will curl it and see how it comes out. I am loving this technique This is perfect
