Cranial Prosthesis Vs Lace Front Wig?

Is a cranial prosthesis right for you? Without insurance they can be costly! Watch as we compare the difference in structure and quality to help simplify your search!

Thank you so much for tuning in to another video here at explicitly you before we get started, don't forget to like comment and subscribe all right. Let'S get in today's video today we have the difference between a medical grade wig or what we call a cranial prosthesis versus a regular lace front here at explicitly you we carry a variety of wigs and we are also licensed to accept medical insurance to help women And men that are dealing with cancer alopecia burns anything that might cause hair loss all right. So let's get started first over here we have just a typical lace front wig. So this is a wig that you might be able to just buy off of amazon. Any beauty supply store any online store. Anything like that. So what makes a lace front nice is it's really practical? It'S really easy to purchase, and it can also give you that very natural look. So, as you can see here, it comes with a natural hairline. Typically in store, we would pluck some of this to make it look more thin instead of bulky around the edges, but it's something that you can totally customize and wear at home and apply at home. Another great thing about it is: it is more cost efficient. So it's not going to cost you as much as a medical grade wig. So here is how the wig is structured. So, on the front you have the lace. Each individual follicle is hand tied to the lace. It is a process that takes a while um, but it's done with you know, quality and then in the back. The wefts are sewn now to make it easy and comfortable to apply a wig band is installed along with some clips. If you're like me and a lot of other women, i like to do the ball cap method and glue down the frontal piece of this wig and we'll show you guys that in another video this is one of our medical grade quiz or our cradle prosthesis. Wigs now, as you come in, you'll, see a clear quality difference like i showed you before on the other wig how there was the lace. This has a silk base that allows you to part and it look just like scalp and what they like to call. That is a monofilament base. Now, like i showed you with the lace front wig, this does not have the wefts in the back. This has a full lace, so you are able to part from the front all the way to the back. Just like you would with your hair and have it look very natural now, when you receive a wig like this, we always just recommend that you take a hot comb or kind of manipulate the hairs backward to make it look more natural. As you can see, the hairs are going forward. You don't necessarily want that unless you want a bang-like appearance for it to look more natural, you want it to frame your face and that's just really easy and you can follow the instructions that we did in a previous video on hair toppers on how to frame The hair to go back a little bit more and look more natural in your application. So let's take a look inside the medical grade wig. So, as you can see, here's that silk base, um that i was explaining earlier. That makes it look like just a natural part, so it's like it's growing out of scalp along with a silicone perimeter here and that just helps everything lay flat and be non-slip um, along with the mesh in the back. So this cap is going to be super comfortable, very much breathable for anybody that wears it now, you'll notice that it doesn't come with any wig clips and that's because usually the wear of this wig doesn't have a lot of hair. So what we would do is maybe apply some glue to help it lay flat or we sell a silicone, wig grip that will help this wig stay on the client's head, um, but also you know this is a wig that you can customize as you see fit. So here in store explicitly you, we can always sew in some clips or sew in a wig band to make it more comfortable for you. So, like i said before, this is a wig that you can park any which direction is that, as you can see it? Just it looks just like scalp, so, as you zoom in you can see, it looks super natural. So if you come in store, we can style this up any way that you see fit. So i hope you enjoyed this video on the difference between just a normal lace, front, wig versus a medical grade wig, and i hope it helps you with your decision making process and your search for your next look and hope. We see you here at explicitly. You don't forget to visit us in store and online at www.explicitlyu.com, thanks for tuning in
