Wig Makers, Time To Pay Attention! Work Smarter Not Harder!

So, as you can see from the title of this video, we're just basically want to talk about things that maybe you thought of, or maybe you didn't think of, but it's things that are happening with these Chinese vendors right in front of our eyes that we just Need to stay well and pay attention to so, let's just get right into it, alright guys! So I'm pretty sure if you are here on my channel, you either have a wig or a hair, business or you're thinking about starting a wig or hair business. I have had my wig business for about seven eight years now and yeah, I'm always thinking and I'm always researching, I'm always learning and looking for new things and just being aware, that's what we make sure that were being aware. So I'm not sure if you guys noticed, but we really need to pay attention to what's going on as far as like the wig industry and how it's moving, because the wig industry is moving very fast. So many you know it's expanding, so many people are transitioning over to wearing wigs now and sadly to say. I do believe that within the next couple of years, like it's not gon na be many so is like at all, and so with the week industry. You know that you can sell customary ways or you can sell pre-made factory weeks, so I'm just gon na go and say this: if you have a wig business and or starting with business and you're only selling custom wigs it's time to wake up, and it's really Time to provide not only custom wigs but the pre-made favorites um. Yes, you definitely still want to keep your custom lives because some people do prefer and wigs, but a lot of people. They don't mind going with the factory, the pre-made wigs and just from what I'm. Looking at eventually, it's gon na be more premade wigs than so so, just for example, if you really think about, if you look at some of the big like wig businesses that are like super successful get like you know, five hundred orders and things like that. Do you really think that that one wig maker is sitting at her machine making 500 with custom wigs? Do you think that, like that's really what's going on? Well, I'm here to say: no, that's not that's not what they're doing that's not how to do. I really sat down and I thought like wait. Ain'T no way if I got 60 something orders - and I already feel overwhelmed that this next person over here that got a big old hair company of wig company making 500 weeks, know they're selling and making premade wigs um. Honestly, the Chinese vendors they watch what we do they study us. They study our techniques um, you know, of course, it all started back when I first started. Wigs wasn't really a big thing. It was bundles. Bundles was a thing, but when the wig, when the Chinese companies realized that we were taking those bundles in making wigs they, you know they don't Instagram and no Facebook and everywhere y'all know that cuz they get aggravated. They look at how we do stuff and guess what boom they came out with. Oh, we make frontal wigs, we make closure wigs and they make wigs. Now the wigs may not be as comparable or custom as we make them, but still they decided. If this is what they want, we're going to we're going to offer them exactly what they want and what their customers are selling them. You know so custom, wigs, they're, good they're, definitely something that we should keep, because it's personalized, but pre mail is that's. Let'S work on you, let the factories do the work. Let your fingers do. The work I know with pre-made wins they're ours. There are two types I would say: there's the types that are density based, those you know. In my opinion, they're hit or miss a lot of times. They don't really go by bundles. Like I said, its density is the way, and you know the fullness of it. Then there are the custom machine made wigs by the vendors which that's something new, that I've seen rolling out with that you purchased the brothers from the vendor and then you have your vendor, make your wig using those bundles and closures. And now you have a machine made by your venison you and you only have to pay them a few dollars to make the custom wig and it may take a day or two sit in the main, and then they ship it to you next week, um. That is what I'm noticing a lot of bigger hair companies are doing that when they have week sales or selling wigs in general, for example, um flawless, wigs. My mocha, I think that's her name on Instagram but yeah. Our wigs are pre-made and she has such a successful week company another one um our lives are honor. Arnold, his wigs are two or three thousand dollars and guess what you think he's sitting at a machine? No he's in a machine is: we've come in the full lace or pre-made factory wigs the thing is um we're doing that. Make sure that you tell your vendor of factory, whoever making the wigs. You know certain things that you would like about you, whether you want cones in it some wig vendors. They even offer to put those label tags in them. I don't even know this now, these weird companies - I just recently seen this the there's a week company or a couple that they are starting to make these wings using the mesh dome caps, because that wasn't thing they were making the wigs on at home. Don'T care! That'S what we like, but they're, looking at what we're doing it they're studying oh they're, using this kind of cap. Oh, we already have this cap. So let's try to make wigs. Now we have custom wigs on this cap. I'Ve seen a couple of companies and I a box and oh, we may quiz just like you and this is it so yeah like they're they're, watching everything we're doing they're following what we're doing and they're providing us with the things that we're providing our customers. So we, as we always need to take advantage of that um now you do have to be careful because they're sizing is it like our sizing. You know, I know I had one pre-made wig that was sent to me. It'S supposed to be you. I think it's a bit of medium and that thing that that thing was so big it fit. Like. I really probably said two heads and one I have to take it apart, and I told that vendor like hey this wig was way too big, like you can't provide anybody, say that but anyways I didn't know working with that vendor, but you definitely want to test Out the sizing with the weeks because their size charts just like the Chinese clothes sizes, it's the same way their sizes, ain't, our sizes. So and for me, I feel like weeks, their wigs run, big bigger in my opinion, then our small, medium and large. I don't know if it's cuz its dimension, don't care what I haven't. Try to miss don't count wig made by a vendor yet, but I'm almost 100 % sure that one or two companies are doing their head, but I think it's gon na be more companies out there. That'S gon na that's gon na come out real real, soon um. So yeah we just we have to. We have to be bold because they woke and they watching what we doing now they're providing color. They got all come on break color. You know they they're get fancy. Now another example. There was a week here today hit me up and it was like hey. We have these new highlight wigs. Now. Let me tell you now how bad ways was so too, because they look so good and for me, that's less labor, that's less work. If they can do the highlights for me and they can make the wig um with my requirements - and I spin it to me - and all I got to do - is customize and style it. Yes, I will pay you a little bit to do that, because now I am working smarter, not harder, and that is what we have to do. We have to start working smarter, not harder, even if we you feel like um, if we feel like. Oh no, I just I like just taking custom orders. Yatta Yatta, that's fine, but just remember that's gon na code, a where you're gon na have 500 wig orders in the day and you gon na want to need some workers or some help. That is where you make sure that the factory is working for you um, when it's something that you want as your vendors, you never know, but yeah y'all like it's it's real out here, but it's definitely something to think about these Chinese people. They'Re, smart and they're. Definitely right on us with every single thing: every invention, everything they're gon na, come out with it soon because they have the resources to do so now. The only thing that I do feel like they don't have, is they don't know how to style? No wig. That'S one thing: they can do a lot of things, but they could try to do a lot of things, but they don't know how to really market like we market and present the wigs like we do and that's the thing looking at a wig that they put On a mannequin in a he'll be looking like, but when we take that same week and we customize pluck it and the baby hair, you know, put the product and make it look nice, that's what sells so pre man week and closure. We I mean in a custom way I can have both of those weeks presented to you right now, a bar pre-made, with about a custom way, and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference, and it's not it's basically, because I know how to present the week. So that is why I say: hey it's perfectly: okay, to UM to definitely add some pre-made ways, because eventually these Chinese, you see they're gon na, be they're gon na get with it. I don't know, think it was styled over, but yeah um. That'S really! All I had just stay well and always pay attention to like. What'S going on, what's the new thing, you don't have to jump on everything, but just make sure that you're looking at thing. Okay, this is oh. They like it like they like this, because that's what they're doing to us and their sweep around and they're getting you know, client, customers or whoever, because they're doing what we're doing so anyways.
