In today's video we'll be learning how to resize your wig, if it's too big, if you've ever ordered a wig from an overseas vendor, only to receive it, and it's way too big for your head. This video is for you. This actually happened to a client of mine, and I'm going to show you exactly how I got the wig to fit her perfectly off-camera. I positioned the wig on her head and I marked at the base of the wig exactly where I want to cut off the excess cap once you've established how much we cap you're, taken out of your wig, then you're going to secure the wig cap. Your wig block, it's really important that you secure it really well put as many pins as possible to make sure that the wig is firmly secured to the weak block here, I'm just separating the hair, so I can see exactly where I'm going to be cutting out Of the wig cap off-camera, I went ahead to add more pins to the back of the wig you'll notice that I parted their hair in the shape of a triangle. That'S exactly what you want! You don't want it to be in a shape of a rectangle. Now, I'm starting to cut out that excess cap, so I'm starting at the base of the weak within the range of the measurements and I'm just cutting in a triangle form a mile cutting on the left side again in that same shape, and I'm just heading towards The peak and as you're cutting that piece off you can lift it up just to make sure that you're still cutting in a triangle. Once that excess cap is out, you can go ahead and remove all of the pins from the wig. Now, here's the fun part we're headed to the sewing machine to get that all stitched up notice, how I'm using my hands to push the hair out of the path of the noodle, try to keep the wig firmly down on the sewing machine. So it doesn't slide off of the machine. No it's my hand at the back just giving it a little tug. I'M just doing this just to help it along because it seems to be getting a little stuck. I wanted to make sure that the stitch was completely secure and also laid flat, so I stitched it down on the inside of the wig you, a few strands of hair still got under the needle, so I tried using a comb to come all out. This didn't work, so I ended up just using a scissors and snip in all of those excess pieces out of the wig. I hope you enjoyed this quick video on how to resize your wig and make it smaller. Let me know if you have any questions whatsoever and I'll be sure to answer them. Thank you. So much for watching I'll see you in the next video

chantal blanchette: it's because your wig is fabric inside! this is the 1st time I see this, all my wigs have always been with canvas, so your technique of making a wig smaller with a sewing machine doesn't work anymore at this point. it would be nice if you tell me if i can do it with a sewing machine with my wigs on canva, because i am new to this. Thanks very much. PS a wig with lots of fabric like that, it must be really hot in summer even in winter inside! can you explain to me how you find that? thank you
