Hi guys, thank you so much for joining back for today's video. Today'S video. I want to show you how to properly use a cordless hot comb to get the best results when pressing out your lace wigs. So if you like to see my tips, make sure you keep on watching so before we get started, let me show you the wig, that we are going to be working with and i'm going to be demonstrating this technique on. So this is a highlight. Ombre body wave, pre-plucked, lace, front wig, it has the fake scalp method in the inside and also has the adjustable strap. So the color of this wig is absolutely gorgeous if you are looking for a color change for spring. This wig comes already highlighted like this. You have the streak of color in the front. You have the ombre ends. I believe this is like a 27 in a brown mixed with a little bit of a 1b at the roots, but yeah. I will link this wig below in the description box. The styling product, i'm using of choice today, is the bed head showdown spray, i'm just going to spray all over the hair. Before i get started now, this wig did come with the middle part. However, you can part it wherever you want, so i'm going to switch up the parting and create a side part. I often get asked what i'm applying to my hair prior to using the hot comb. This right here is the flyaway tamer, which is basically a wax. Stick and the wax sticks are going to help tame those strands of hair that tend to stick up now, when you combine it with the hot comb, it's going to lay down that hair is going to help it smooth down better all right. So let's talk about using a hot comb because there are two different kind. The one i use the most is the one that is cordless and comes with the oven. Well, you have to buy the oven separately. So that's what i'm using today. I will have my hot comb linked in the description box, for you guys so check below this video. So the first thing i do is i create my parting and, of course, instead of using water or anything. I use my hot comb to separate the hairs out of the parting. Now, if you stick around later on, i'm going to go into detail about the different heat settings when it comes to a hot comb and how to properly use it to get it to work right. So the first thing i'm going to do is go ahead and remove some of this hair out of the parting, because this wig did have a center parting. The hair, in any other area, is going to be a bit more dense. So i want my parting to look as clean as it possibly can, and then i'm going to go back in with that pressing comb and get rid of all the loose strands and also just lay that parting flat. So when pressing your hair, you want to go all the way down to the knots and use the back end of that comb to press down those knots so that that parting can lay straight or the hairline can lay straight. You want to go over it several times if your hot comb is not hot enough, it's not going to lay right since the hot combs do not have a heat setting. You want to know the timing and how long to let it heat up before you start to press your hair. I will talk about that later on now. The hairline on this wig is absolutely gorgeous. It comes pre-plucked already. I am going to create a little bit of baby hairs on the side and with this wig you don't really need to tweeze out the hairline. However, i like to go back and widen it up right at the parting, just a tad bit and also just take away some of the hairs that are behind the pre-plucked hairline. Once you are in the middle of tweezing, the hairline. You want to take that hot comb and go back in and press the hair, and you want to do this because if you tweeze out hairs, you want to make sure you're not tweezing out too much and sometimes once you press the hair down and flatten it. You will find that the hairline will lay a lot more natural, so you want to make sure you don't tweeze out too much so the pressing comb can also lay down then baby hairs if you create them and also separate it from that hairline. That'S behind the baby hairs, so i'm going to take a little bit of foundation powder. This is the mac, nc, 42 studio fix powder and i'm applying that down the parting with a very small brush. I'M doing this only because i want that parting to to match my complexion. It is a bit brownish. The knots on this wig is slightly bleached. I'M also going to take it around the hairline a bit and once again, i'm going in with that hot comb to press out the hair and i'm just making sure everything is blended. A lot of times when i apply the powder down the parting, a little bit of it can get on the hair. So when i go back with that hot comb, it gets rid of that extra powder and it just makes everything look very flawless and right now you can see the difference the hot comb makes with the wig compared to when i first put it on my head. It makes a huge difference in how your wig looks all right, so there is a learning curve when it comes to using the hot comb. That is wireless with the oven, and i learned that over the past year of using this, so the brand that i use is made by annie. Now this base is really like an oven. It'S really hot. When you put your hot comb in there, you do not want to put it completely in there where the wood is in the oven, because it will catch fire. Okay, i learned the hard way, so you want to only put that hot comb part in the oven. Now i always heat up my oven, maybe 20 minutes prior to putting the comb inside this gets really hot. So you want to keep it away from anything that is going to burn even children. So this little black thing you see right here is a hot comb. Stand - and this is very convenient when it comes to these types of combs - that don't have the little kickstand, because if you sit it on anything while it's hot, it's going to burn everything. So this was something that was needed. I will be sure to link both of these with all three of these down in the description box. Another thing with the oven is, of course, the top part gets hot all the way around, so it has this um thing right here. I don't know what it's called, but you can push it in and out and you can slide around your oven if you need to okay. So let's go ahead and finish off the styling for this wig, i'm going to add some curls with using my t3 curling iron. I absolutely love this highlighted. Wig like the color is gorgeous and evenly distributed too. I will be sure to put this little wig down below in the description box with a discount code, so make sure to check the description box. Everything from today's video will be linked down there and it's so funny, because i didn't even looking at this video now. I didn't even realize that, throughout the whole video i didn't even cut the lace on the wig yet, but this wig looks so good. It looks so natural and even switching that parting, the highlighted part still looks very good um. So yeah you guys. Let me know what you think about this color and tell me what colors you will be rocking this spring if you choose to change up from the 1b or the natural colors and this style is complete, i hope you guys found this video very helpful. I hope those hot comb tips came in handy for you. If so drop me a comment. Give this video a like and be sure to subscribe for more videos from me, and i appreciate you guys so very much. Thank you so much for watching

Stacey Y: Marie, you taking me back with the hot comb, lol. I have one and haven't used it in some time. Man, I remember every weekend when I was a kid, my mom would wash my hair and use the hot comb to straighten it. As I walk down memory lane, I'm grateful to have those moments with my mom. That was the closest thing at the time to having straight hair until those Just 4 Me perms came out, Tell.me why I still remember that jingle.

Nelly Shiranian: You look like a doll...absolutely beautiful
