Full Human Hair Wig Install + Where I Get My Wigs | Beginner Friendly

Hey guys, it's tabitha and i'm doing a video that you guys have been asking for for a long time. Uh a lot of people ask me like: where do you get your wigs from uh? Can you do a video like about how you do your wigs or how you do like style, your wig, so i'm gon na do that today, i'm going to show you guys how to put my wigs on this is not a video that i usually do, but That'S what we're doing today, um so yeah. I thought you guys would like it uh, but i'm gon na go over everything with you guys like where i get my hair from so this is the hair that i'm going to be uh doing today. This is not a new wig. I'Ve reused this wig like a lot like i've, used this wig a couple times. That'S the lace uh, and this is a 13x4 lace front, wig um. That means it goes all around the front and there is lace on the back. I have not cut that off for some reason yet, but there is lace all across the perimeter 13 and then it goes four inches in like right. There um this uh has one two three four combs in it honestly, i hate the combs and it also has like adjustable straps and it has a strap in the back. This has glue all over it because i just washed it but um don't mind that you won't be able to see it when we install it uh. So, like i said, 13x4 lace, um, it's supposed to be hd lace and then it's 28 inches. It is straight hair but, as i said, i just washed it like like a couple hours ago. I just washed it and blow dried it, so it is a little frizzy right now, um it is human hair. That means you can dye it and everything. One thing about this hair though it is processed like it's not like, like virgin hair like it was dyed like you can tell it was dyed like when you wash it like diet comes off of it. Honestly, it's not really that big of a deal. It'S not really a bigger deal for me. I don't really care but um. I found that like when you wash it, it doesn't come off your clothes or anything. It'S fine um, and this is 100 900 180 density. The link for this will be in the description. Uh i got this from aliexpress. The wigs from aliexpress are really affordable. If you want to do that, it just depends on the vendor. I really suggest using like reading reviews before you buy the hair. Like honestly, a few of them aliexpress um reviews do be a little bit questionable like they might not look good on the reviewer, but sometimes they they are good. Sometimes you've got to take a chance um, i think they're affordable, because i mean obviously the higher the density, the higher the quality of the lace, the more the laces. If you get like a 360 lace wig, that means the whole wig is lace uh. Then it's going to be expensive, obviously um the quality of the hair and it's like virgin swept or like processed hair. It'S gon na be more expensive the length of the hair. This is 28 inches uh. So obviously, it's going to be a little bit pricier than if it was like a 18 inch wig or a 10 inch wig like a bob wig or something if the knots are bleached. Pre-Plucked uh stuff, like that, when you order from like online vendors like uh online seller, that's like not on aliexpress, it's usually like they're, like pre-plugged pre-styled, like they do highlights and stuff for you like. You can find wigs like that on aliexpress like for cheaper, like i'm, not paying like 200 plus dollars for like a 13 inch wig. It'S not gon na. Do that's obvious, that's out of the question uh, but this wasn't even 200 and it's a 20 inch wig um and it's actually pretty okay quality uh. It was pretty uh. Okay, i'm not too good at bleaching knots but they're they're, okay, honestly they're they're! All right! It'S okay um. I bleach the uh. I bleach the knots for this. I plucked it and i i don't know i don't really dye my hair uh. I did one time when i had red hair but yeah that was a human hair wig and i don't have it anymore, so the link for this hair will be in the description description. If you guys want to look for it, i'm pretty sure i've told people, like my videos, aren't available right now, but they'll be back up. I promise but um i've, given people links to the hair. Before i promise i have not been keeping this hair or where i get my hair from, i just am lazy: okay, i'm sorry um, but yeah. When i usually get like. I don't really do synthetic hair, but you can find like a good uh like really good synthetic hair uh. I see it all the time on tick tock. I think it's called centennial or something i don't know, but they have like lace, wigs. You can pluck those you cannot bleach, you cannot believe uh synthetic hair, though so that's um one of the downsides, but there are some good synthetic wigs. If you want to like a lower price point, i used to get like like synthetic like the cheap synthetic wigs. Like with the bangs for like from like yes style uh, if you want to look at those, they have like different ones now, and my code is like tapped to 2020. If you want like, i think it's like 15 percent, 10. 10. 15 off. So i'm gon na be doing an install for you guys today, um i'm, not arrogant, hey i'm erika tab, okay, good to have okay, i'm not the greatest at doing wigs. I just try my best and i'm too cheap to let other people do my hair. So that's how we ended up here, uh, i'm gon na, be telling you guys what you need for the install if you guys wan na, if you guys wan na, do this like along with me, obviously you're gon na need a wig doesn't really matter what kind Um, but for this one, i'm using, as i said, human hair, um, you're gon na need i'm reading off the list. I'M sorry, you're gon na need a rat tail comb, less glue or lace spray. I usually use like the ghost bun spray. But honestly, if you have sensitive skin like i do, i do not recommend it. Some people say that bowl holds is better, but i've never tried it and um. Today, i'm gon na be using the black ebb and lace spray because i have i've really sensitive skin. I also have eczema and i'm starting to have like not a like a flare up sort of, and it's like. I don't know it's it's it's killing me so i'm gon na try this see this thing. Better, uh and hopefully it'll stay. I'Ve never used it like like i'll use it like a touch up like if i see my lace lip down, i'll use it and yeah. Hopefully it's like less build up too, because i have a problem with buildup of glue on my lace and cleaning. It is it's not very hard, but i would like to not do it. Yeah you're gon na need a retail comb, lace, glue or lace spray um, a hot comb. If you don't have a hot comb, you can use a hair straightener. It'S it's fine, um you're! Gon na need 91 alcohol uh. This is the one that i use. It'S the cheapest one from walmart. It'S from equate uh don't be picky, but it's 91 percent isopropyl alcohol and that's basically just the glue and oil off of your forehead like makeup and all that stuff off your forehead before you do it and also to remove, remove the uh glue like if you Want to take it off, do not be snatching your wigs off i'd be having to see that on take time. This is one girl she be snatching her whole wig off in her car. Like babe, your edges, your edges, babe, okay, but uh, you're gon na need tensing spray scissors mousse, that's optional, really it's mostly just to like get the hair out of the way and also to lay the edges, but you can also use like uh. What'S it called edge control, but it might be a bit of build up if you use too much so don't use a lot and you can also use gel like eco styler or anything. I probably prefer that over the um, the edge control so yeah, but a hot tool like a straightener for styling, the hair and then a wig cap and got to be glue and then you're also going to need. What is this? What is that? Oh, a band you're going to need a edge band. I left mine in my um, so i first want to talk about bleaching. The knots like prep and stuff like that. So usually, when you prep the wig you're going to bleach the knots you're going to pluck and you're going to tint the lace and cut the lace, this is not a new wig, so i'm not cutting any lace right now unless i absolutely need to. But when you first it's a little bit different to install the wig when you first have it, because the first install is always the best for me, because i don't know you can just cut the lace when it's on your head. First, when you're bleaching, the knots i just use a 40 volume developer in uh bleach, a lot of people use the clairol bleach, but i have like it's. I forgot that i think it's called blonde or something i don't know, but probably clairol would be better. Usually, i don't know the exact measurements, but just until you it gets like like thick like when it gets thick. You put it on and like leave it, so it doesn't like seep through and like dive like hair. You just want the knot to bleach, so you want it to be thick and um for plucking your tweezers. It'S like two different sides. One is like the the flat side and the other is like the pointy side. So just use the pointy side and when you pluck do like a zigzag motion, so you don't get like a bald spot like in one place and like move around. Also, when you pluck, i suggest that you use like a white towel, so you can see like everything, uh or if you have like one of those like cloth. Mannequin - and you know i'm talking about like the little wig stand things and cutting the lace. I use eyebrow scissors because you can get like in there a little bit better also for bleaching. The knots follow the instructions on the back. It might be like different from like 25 minutes to, however long, but if you need to repeat the process, then do that i'd. Rather, you have to repeat the process than have a bald wig, because you bleach it too long. Okay for the wig cap and everything uh, i'm gon na show you as i do it, but honestly there's no particular way that you have to do this and also yeah, i'm gon na show. I'M i have my break my jailbreaks in uh yeah, the jailbreaks. They need to be redone, uh, don't forget to wash your hair before you put them in the braids and also oil. Your scalp, nobody needs a dry scalp. This is a protective style. Remember, wigs are protective style, so your hair will be growing underneath and um yeah. Your braids won't look too good after like a while, because your hair is going in between, but also some important information do not put the glue. If you use glue, do not put glue on your edges, you will rip out your edges. Do not do that. Um. Also, if you have sensitive skin, i do not recommend. Like i said earlier, i don't recommend bolt hold, not bolt hold, don't use ghost bond, don't use ghost bond. I'Ve heard people talking about both hold is better and i'm sure there are other options. So maybe look for those, but i don't have any recommend because i haven't tried them and be patient when you take off your wig, because you will need isopropyl alcohol, 91 or i've heard people use different ones but um. I just use that, and i use like q-tips i use q-tips to take it off or like a con pad like soaked in that. So just soak the frontal, like saturate the frontal in ice purple alcohol and then loosen it up with a q-tip underneath and take it off, do not rip your wig off like you will be bald babe. So don't do that and yeah. Let'S get into the install the only thing that i've done to this wig so far is uh. I use the wax stick and i put it along the edge to get all the hairs out of the way so that i don't glue hair on my forehead and yeah. I need to tint this, so i'm actually going to use a brush like a makeup brush and this palette that my dog ate. All you want to do is take the take this and pat it into the lace until you get the desired effect. Obviously the lace tint is easier to use, but i'm just going to use this and i'll be back when i'm ready to install the wig cap. So i'm done with that i've tensed the lace, that's essentially how it looks on my hand, so i'm gon na do the ball cap method. I got these as a 16 pack on amazon for your ball caps. They really don't have to be your skin color you're. Gon na color them anyway, so it really doesn't matter um. These come with two on each one, they're very sheer, and that's what you want it's liquid edges back all right. You see eco styler, i like uh, queen of teeth with these braids and set it off, but it we won't talk about that. But yeah i slipped them back. How good of a job i did! I don't know, but we're gon na put it on now that you look like you're at the broadway bank. Um put the money in a little bit. You'Re gon na spray forgot to be just got to be cleared: uh, you're, gon na spray. It and a lot of people use uh the bolt hole here and then the got to be glued, but this has been working for me so far. It holds, and i rather use the glue right now so we're gon na use this spray it all around. Let it dry do a second coat and then you're ready to cut i'm gon na fan it, because i cannot be bothered with my hair dryer right now. I plugged it in the other day, almost electric in myself, i dropped it and the back came off and i guess i touched one of the wires on the inside. When i put it in, i thought i was gone, but you know you know what we i'm not even bothering with it, but we're gon na wait for this dry and we're gon na come back. I look crazy, but trust the parts of spade okay. So now the best dry - oh we're gon na so you're gon na - have to peel it up a bit also make sure that the spray the gotcha glue is sprayed like the got to be glued is dry before you do this, because if you don't, if it's Not dry, it will come up like as soon as you cut it it'll just like fall off. I might have to use a little bit of that to be just to hold the edges down but not like to put like everywhere. So i might have to do that. But just the tiniest amount, but i might just use like the tiniest amount just to make sure this doesn't come up. Okay, so it's pretty much dry. I just took the the middle part of the comb and i just pressed it down. So basically it's flat and it's going to hold - i had to tent the wig cap, so i'm going to do that same colors from before and i'll just come back once wow doesn't take that long, scalped but um absolutely scalp. This is giving very much bald core, but um. We love it here, and this is basically what you want the box, but this is what you want the ball cap method. To look like you want to look bald, you don't have to do the whole head, but i take it back like a little bit because it is a 13x4 wig. It'S gon na show like scalp, like here like in this little part, but yeah. All the hair's brushed back already. This is how it's gon na look essentially uh after we glue it down. So basically, what you want to do is move it so that you can have the section ready when you need to glue it down, we're going to work in sections here, um a little a thick little layer and i'm going to let it dry and then i'm Going to lay down this, this is what we're gon na do across the hill, like, like, maybe like four or five sections trying to see if this works. Okay, uh, the mail is sort of, i mean it could definitely use a little bit more, but it's pretty. Okay, it seems like it's holding pretty good uh this side. However, i don't know what happened there. I'M gon na take some ice alcohol go over. It uh get some of the hairs loose because i actually glued it down uh. I don't know it's always this side that never turns out, like i don't know if i just get lazy like as i'm going through, and it's like, i just mess it up, but babe it's. If i cannot get this over, i'm we're doing it. We'Re doing a bang and we're calling it a day. Okay, that's what that's what's gon na happen? Okay, so this is what i usually do. I hold it and then this is the flat iron. I use uh it's on this last leg, the other one. I'Ve got it because i broke my other one. I should be not. I should not be trusted with hot items, obviously, because the last one that i had i dropped it when i was getting ready for uh an award thing for school and it caught on fire. So and this one it's been through a lot, it's obviously died and it's she's rattling, but and she works, she gets hot pretty fast and you can adjust the settings. This is the conner thingy and it hasn't caught on fire. Yet so pretty good to me, we're gon na take this section and we're gon na we're gon na slip. It like that. I'M gon na use gel for this. I'M gon na use gel. You can use mousse if you want to, but i'm gon na use gel and then you take a little edge brush. I got this one from this. One is from the dollar tree. Actually, but uh i'll. Take it look. It'S cute. I'M not gon na do another. One i'm just gon na, do the sideburns and we're gon na. Do it the same way and then we're gon na part? It, and usually i mean you could use makeup on the part, but since we did the ball cap and it's our color anyway, you usually don't have to do that and you're going to need a wax stick for this. You could not use a wax stick, but it just lays flatter that way. Okay, guys, this is it the install is done um and it really is giving like it's cute but yeah.
