Hey guys welcome back to my channel, it's your girl, Karrill DaDiva. Today, i'm gon na be doing some box braids in my hair. These are gon na be pretty long. These are the braids that i'm gon na be using. It says 80 inch on the pack, but that's when it's not folded now that it's folded, it's only 40 inches. If you look closely at the pack, you'll see that it says 40 inches right next to the 80 inches and that's what i'm trying to say. It'S not really 80 inch. Braids that i'm going to be doing is 40 inch braids, but still this will be the longest braids i've ever done. This is what it looks like straight out of the pack. This is only one of them from the three that comes in each of the pack and i'm gon na go ahead and take the little pieces out that i'm gon na be using, and i'm gon na hang them on this braiding rack that i have here. This will help me to get through it faster. This is what they looks like on the rack. They are literally touching the floor. That'S how long they are so on. Here i have 60 pieces of braids to install into my hair, which means i could do 60 braids before i have to you know, start adding more hair onto the rack to braid my hair and give it this smooth silky. Look i'm going to be using my btl braiders gel this btl brita's gel is made for all hair textures. It'S now made for braiders in mind. Like yes, the dry hand, defend formula allows for comfortable work without having to worry about your hands or fingers drying out or cracking. Isn'T that something to look forward to now? This definitely will be my favorite braiding gel, so definitely guys go on their website. I will link it down below and go get your own. I'M gon na start off my hair by partying, a section off in the front going from one ear to the other, to make it easier. I first part it down the middle, then i'm gon na do one half and then the other. This will definitely give me a straight apart in no time now, i'm going to go ahead and take some of the jump out that i'm going to be using and put it on to the breeders band that i'm wearing on my hand, and this will make it So much easier for me to get to the gym, while i'm doing my hair, instead of leaving the jump open the whole time, while i'm doing my hair, which will makes it dries up and so on and so forth. Before i start parting off the back of my hair, i usually go ahead and add some jam on it. Like you see me doing here now, i'm going to go ahead and part off my first section and since i'm going to be doing some very small braids, i'm not going to make it too big for this first row in the back, i'm gon na go ahead And do four braids now i'm gon na go ahead and add my first braid and i'm gon na slow it down. So you guys could see what i'm doing. You know how i grip it at the roots, how i braid it you know to secure it in some of you guys have asked me to. You know, get more detailed on how i do this part, and sometimes i try to explain it. I guess sometimes i'm not explaining it good enough, but um all i do after i grip it at the root is just move my fingers around as if i was doing a cornrow. So if you could do a cornrow on your own here, i guess you could understand how to or even if you could do it on somebody else's ear. I guess that will give you a little bit more sense of what i'm doing and how i'm doing it with the braids and my hair and i add pieces of my hair into all three pieces of the braid in here when i braid the hair. Far enough away from the root, that's when i switch my hand around, which means i move my right and under my neck and grab the hair from around the other side, and that will help me to braid the hair down better. As you can see at this point, it's easier for me to braid the hair, because i don't have my hand up over my head anymore and when my hand is up over my head. That'S when it gets tired, when my hand is down like this, i usually don't get tired or my hands, usually don't get tired. So i could just braid all day with it like this, and i guess that's one of the main reason why i usually braid my hair down to a certain part, maybe half of it and then finish off the wrist later. This means i don't have to have my hand in my hair the whole time, i'm doing all these braids or i don't have to sit in the mirror, the entire time. I'M doing all my braids i'm going to go ahead now and do a second one and, as you can see, i part this one down the middle, which means i'm going to be doing two more. On the other side, before i started each one of the braids, i also added jump on it, and this will help for my hair to blend into the braid in here much better for this one, i'm not going to slow it down. As i add the next piece of hair in, but i'm not gon na speed it up either i'm gon na keep it at a normal speed. So you guys could see again what i'm doing i know i didn't show you guys in this video, how i hold the hair around my fingers before starting the braids, but that's because i have so many other videos on here where i explain that. So if you guys want to know you could go, you know refer back to one of those videos i'll try to link one of them down below for you now. I'M gon na move on up to the second row and do a few more in this row. For you guys. These are definitely gon na, be in a faster motion and, as i get further on with it, i'm gon na keep going faster just so we could get through it. You know quicker um now, i'm at the front and as you can see, i'm excited about that and the reason why is now that i can see exactly what i'm doing it's gon na make it so much easier. So i'm gon na start off by parting off a piece in the side and usually when i get to this part of my hair, i part it in a slanted way going down kind of, and this is how i have to part it. So it could match up nicely when i get to the top because of the shape of my head. I guess this works. For me. It doesn't work for everybody. I mean from what i've been told, but it works for me. Other people told me worked for them too, and actually liked that i gave it gave them this little. You know idea so far: i'm loving the look of these and they are so skinny and i make them skinny because i know they're gon na be long and i don't want them to be too heavy on my head and definitely the way i did it works. So well for me, so here i'm doing the very last one, and this is an amazing feeling. If you ask me, even though i still have the ends to do, but i already did a whole bunch of them in between doing my hair. Whenever i stop, whenever i got visitors or stuff like that, you know anything that caused me to stop doing my hair a little bit. I will be there braiding out some of the ends, so you know it's not like i'm wasting time in between. Usually, when i get to this part, it feels so good finishing off most of my hair and if you look closely here, uh most of them are all of them that i'm holding up the ends are already done. So all i have to do is go finish off the rest of it and i will be back to show you guys. The finished look and we are back guys. Look at this beautiful hair. Look at how flowy they are, how long and skinny they are. I'M gon na have to stand up at some point in the video, so you guys could see the full length of it because of course you can see it while i'm still sitting down. I am so in love with this style and let me tell you i did this hairstyle for my vacation in jamaica and i enjoy every moment of wearing it. I am not even kidding. I wish i could do my hair like this every month, but it takes a long time to do. It took me over the course of three days to do it no lie, that's how long it took, but i i'm not i. I have no regret for how long i spend doing it, because i love this hairstyle so much. This ought to be my very favorite hairstyle that i've done on my channel so far. I am so proud of myself for doing it. I mean i've done this style before in 36 inches, but this is four inches longer. So this is, you know a 40 inch hairstyle and it's very small. I did not count how many braids i have. I wish i did, but i totally forgot to do that, but guys i spent a long time on it like i said i work hard on it, so i would love for you guys to give me them thumbs up. Leave me the comments because i feel like i deserve it. This is what i want y'all to do for me. I want you to comment down below what would it cost you to get your hair done like this at your local beauty salon. You know just for the fun of it, because different people charge different prices depending on what area you live in, so go ahead. Guys leave them comments down below.
