Hey guys welcome back to my channel for this video, I'm gon na, be showing you guys how I got this valentine's day, inspired burgundy hair. So let's go ahead and jump right into this tutorial. The hair that I'm going to be using is from genius wigs. This is their new, wet and wavy lace, front wig. It comes with transparent lace, so thank you so much to them for sending over this wig as well sponsoring this video. This is how the hair came straight out of the packaging, I'm absolutely loving the texture of it. It'S so pretty. It just reminds me of my natural hair when I have it straightened and yeah, so I'm gon na go ahead and start bleaching. This hair first just to kind of lighten it up a little bit before I move on to dyeing the hair, I'm gon na be using a 20 volume developer from ion, as well as this L'Oreal, quick blue powdered bleach. So once I have that mixed up in my little plastic container, I'm gon na go ahead and start applying the bleach onto the hair. I like for my like mixture, to kind of be like more on the thicker side. If that makes sense like I don't like my bleach to be like too liquidy, because then it just starts to like drip everywhere and it gets like messy and stuff. So I usually like to have the consistency of my bleach to be a little bit on the thicker side, but yeah, so I'm just gon na go ahead and start applying that on to the hair, I already have it sectioned off. So that way everything just moves. A lot faster, I can just go through each section and bleach the hair as needed, so I'm gon na start in the back and then just work my way up front and I'm really making sure to saturate the hair really really well. So I'm definitely applying a lot of bleach onto this hair. I just want to really make sure that it's like saturated with the bleach so that way it gets every single strand. So once I was done obliging the hair I washed and conditioned the off camera. So this is pretty much what it looks like after I was done bleaching and it's so far so good. This is kind of like the level that I was going for. I wanted the burgundy to be kind of like on the darker side, so I didn't want to pull too much of that darkness from the hair just enough. So that way, the red kind of shows, through a little bit more but anyways, I'm gon na go ahead and move on to dyeing the hair. Now so I'm gon na be using a mixture of two different hair dyes from KISS colors. One is paprika and the other is mahogany red. I mixed two bottles of mahogany red and like one and a half bottles of the shade paprika and I'm just gon na use the same steps that I did to bleach the hair. I already have it sectioned out. I'M gon na start from the back and then just work my way up front and yeah. I'M just gon na go ahead and start applying all of that color onto the hair. I did leave this dye on for a very, very, very long time. I know it was somewhere between like six to seven hours that I left this dye on. I really wanted the red to like soak into the hair. I figure just letting it kind of sit there on the hair for a little bit longer, but kind of help make the color more vibrant. So this is pretty much what it looked like once I was done, coloring it and I love the way that this color came out. It'S so Brady, I'm obsessed, I didn't wash the hair with shampoo. I just watched it with conditioner and then I added a little bit of leave-in conditioner from cream of nature. I did install this wig off-camera, but I pretty much just use the same method that I always do with the bald cap method and I got to be free spray. So now I'm just gon na go ahead and add some baby hairs. I'M not doing anything too crazy with my baby hairs today, I wanted to keep it super super natural, very like subtle, and everything I'm trying, like my best to kind of get out of you know like the style baby hairs like look, not that I don't like It but I kind of want to try like the more like natural look, if that makes sense, so very light on the baby hairs today, but still popping. You know we need a little swoop swoop. You know little ones. I pretty much just used a little razor to cut them down and I use a mixture of my edge control from Evan, as well as my wrapping foam from cream of nature. So once I was done with my baby hairs, I pretty much just went straight to sleep because I was super tired. I decided to finish everything else like the next morning. So here is me with like my makeup and everything I did film this look. So if you are curious about it just makes sure to stay tuned for that as well and yeah. So I'm just gon na go ahead and start curling the hair. I did straighten the hair as well the night before just to make sure that I could curl it in the morning. I wasn't really sure what style I wanted to do with this hair. I just knew that I wanted curls, so we're gon na curl, the hair. First, I'm using about like a 1 and a quarter inch curling wand to create some like really large, fluffy curls. So I'm just gon na go throughout the entire head and curl everything up and as I'm going along, I'm just making sure to kind of hold the curl in my hand for a couple of seconds until it cools all the way down. And I pretty much just curled everything going away from my face and, like the part where, like my bangs would be, I curled that towards my face. So we definitely don't want to leave the curls like that. So I'm gon na go in with a wide tooth comb and just comb those out - and it just gives you like this really beautiful, like voluminous look, but I kind of wanted to do look in half-up half-down style. I thought they would be super cute with like a little like antenna, bang, that's kind of like what I call like a little piece that you like leave in the front like that, because it just reminds me of like ant antennas. I don't know why anyways so moving on. I just went ahead and put it in a half up, half down style. I'Ve left that little piece like towards the front it was turned out super cute. I love the way that the style came out. I went back in with that curling wand and just kind of redid, like any areas that were like falling a little faster than others. That was the only like downfall. I had about this hair is that it doesn't really hold a curl that well, but I have heard that this hair texture works way better if you use like rollers for like flexi rods. So I'll probably do that next time, instead of using with my curling wand, but this is the look guys, I'm super obsessed with how this style came out and now I'm going to show you guys how this hair looks and its natural state. This is a wet and wavy wig, so we got to see it wet and wavy sis, so I'm gon na go ahead and go in with my water bottle. First and just show you guys what the curls look like on one side. First, you can see the side-by-side, so I'm just gon na spray everything down using my water bottle. I'M also gon na use my cream of nature styling foam to help define the curls as well, and the curls on this wig are so cute. I'M just loving this lake in general, I feel like the curls are popping the hair when it's straight just reminds me of my natural hair. This color and hair line is a bomb, and I'm just in love with this leg. So yeah don't be surprised. If you see it in future videos, but that's pretty much it for this, look guys, I really hope you enjoyed this hair tutorial. If you did don't forget to give this video a big thumbs up and also click on that little bell, so you get a notification anytime that I upload make sure to stay tuned. If you want to see the makeup look, but thank you again for watching guys. I love you and hopefully I will see you in the next one.
