Hair I am wearing in this video is Arjuni Wavy & Curly D, followed by Arjuni Wavy B with custom closure installed on a BOSSY Wig™

What'S up you guys, so today I'm going to be doing a video talking about specifically about lace closures. I did my video talking about other closures. No, it's are about least because that's my clothes, your preference and that's the type of closure that I believe, needs the most amount of time to talk about, because there are a lot of things you have to do to a lace, closure and harder to get it Ready for your head, if you're not wearing your part in one part where your hair is quite underneath. Ok, so I already have a video up about how to bleach the knobs on a lace closure, but you can also get away with not bleaching the nox, okay and when I say get away with not leashing the knobs. That means you can either not do anything to them or you can do full bleaching phone bleaching involves using. You can either use this brianna, hair color or in yours color, of course, a color that matches your scalp or you can use a color that a spray. The spray tan there are different kinds as you use, but it's a spray tan in your color also, and you would spray that and you spray it on the underside of the lace and it kind of seeps through onto the knots on this side and covers it Up another option is to not do anything to the nonce and then, when you wear your closure use some powder makeup, cream, makeup foundation, concealer eyeshadow in the cup in your color, of course, and you dab it in your part, wherever you're wearing your part or around The hairline just dab it with a tiny brush, which I also did an example of that in one of my videos, I'll try to find it in Lincoln and that's as far as the knox co. You also want to seal the knobs, no matter what, whether you bleach them or not. You want to steal them now. I was using patrician and rocks clear, acrylic sealant, and then I got some TDI hot sealer. Now I prefer to use stuff that isn't as harmful. Doesn'T have as many chemicals in it so i tend to use, got to be glued freeze, blast spray or either don't have it with me, but I see hair polishers to behold, spritz. So look our big bad d as it spurts. That'S smart. I think it's called lacquer that one works really well too, and you would just spray it lightly. On the other side, let it dry and then you can spray again lightly on the other side, okay and that helps seal it. But you will need to reseal. You can either do it after every wash, if your washes off or do it after every danced all. If you're sewing on that's it for an onsen ceiling. You you can also check out my video on how to tint the scallop on a closure. You do that with rit dye or any kind of fabric dye in your color and a lot of the common colors that are used for people of color with the tan taupe, cocoa brown or dark brown. There'S a new color called dark brown. It might not be new, I just saw it for the first time recently, which I think will work better for people with a darker complexion, because the cocoa tends to give off a red cast and the dark brown looked like it was more neutral and wouldn't be Read with just being even brown, so yeah another option to tip the lace would be with tea. I haven't used the tea, so I cannot tell you what kind of tea to use, but it is a method that you can research if that's something you're interested in you involve steeping tea bags and then just how I did the RIC dip. You would push your closure into the tea mixture and that is to tint the lace on your closure to match your scalp, because if the lace doesn't match, I don't know if this matches my skin, but if it doesn't match like that, you'll see it no matter What you're going to see your grinch of a seat at your hairline or wherever it is, so you must lace to match as much as possible. Another option to match the lace is to use a fabric pin fabric pinned is something that you can get at a craft store, walmart my heaven 2 or a fabric marker, and that is usually for people that have a darker inflation because they don't really make them. In lighter colors, it usually just get a brown, and you just color in in your part and along your hairline. You want to make sure the color matches your forehead. I say your forehead, where your scalp and another option again is to use your makeup powder makeup. Liquid foundation, cream foundation and dab that, in your part or around the hairline. Also, when I talk to you about clothes, your size and what size you should order, when you're ordering a closure, because a lot of people don't know what size to order, there are a lot of different reasons why you order different sizes. As you can see, this closure is very small. It'S only about an inch and a half wide by like three half four inches deep or long. You see this closure much bigger. So it's about three and a half inches wide by four and a half to five inches long. Now, i'm going to show you guys how for how much space is going to cover you see how much space this one covers and how far it's going to go back. So it's going to go back here! You see how much space this one's going to cover in the front and it's going to go back further. Okay and let's say you wanted to wear your closure, this way it's going to cover more space across the front, from side to side and less space in the back now, a few reasons why you might want to pick a smaller closure. You simply want to close up your installer, your wig and have a part you're only going to wear a middle part, you're only gon na wear side, part you're, never going to move. It think you might want a smaller closure. Another reason you might want to smaller closure is if the hair on your closure is not the same as the hair on your West, then you want as little hair out of closure as possible so that you don't have issues blending the closure with the West, because You don't have one type of you're on top of them another type of bottle, so you would get a small enclosure so that you have less hair to worry about blending. Another reason to get a smaller closure, and this is the reason a lot of people don't take into consideration - is going to be your head, your hair. Now, if you have a hairline like me, and you have thin spots on the sides or you have anything around sighs, you don't want a closure. That'S going to fall right in there on those spots because you're not going to have anything to attach it to. If you are slowing it on, that is a mistake because it took me a while to learn. So if i have this closure, you see it falls here in here. I don't want this closure, it's it's the wrong size because it falls right at those points. Those weak points where I don't have a lot of hair. It'S going to be a lot harder to install it up here. Even if you try to install it behind the hairline, it's going to be a mess, so you would want to go with either in much smaller closure or you might go with something: that's even bigger or position it to the side so that it falls in the Places where you have more hair to braid and so on to now, you would order a larger closure if number one. You want more partying space, okay, because you can part it anywhere anywhere. You want! Okay, all that's kept apart. So if you want a lot of parting space, if you want to do a side part of middle part, triangles Twista, then you want to get a larger closure. If you want to wear your part deeper, you want your part of your closure to go farther back back. This way now be careful going far back because it can look really unnatural if your closures way back here. Your parts way back here because it's just not something we do and then your hair is going to end up looking really thin up here and to fold at the bottom. So you want to be careful how far back you go. Some people may want to go farther across because you want to cover more of your hairline and you're, not that worried about the back, but you want to wear it away from your face. So those are some reasons why you would get a larger closure that held hope. It helps you pick out the type of thought, the size closures. You want you widow's peak, that's one thing to think about. If you have a widow's peak and you want to wear a closure and you'd, always your closure sitting way down here, then you may want to come. You don't want to shave. Your widow's peak you may want to consider doing behind. I call it behind the peak. Know why the hairline apply the closure behind your widow's peak, or some winners actually offer custom closures with the widow's peak. It'S kind of I don't know how natural it's going to look. You might have to not be sure of your hairline. I don't know how I'm natural it will look, but I'm just tossing it out there that those options are available with some vendors, so that might be something that you want to consider adding fabric or other things underneath your closure now, first of all before i continue, Might wan na check out meet you too cutes videos? She actually has some where she uses a stocking cap with tape applied to it and i'm not sure if she applies makeup or not to the tape, but she uses a no-fly zone under her closures in her latest waiting scandal looks really natural, so you want to Check her channel for that method there other you can use a stocking or nylon to wear under your closure. I personally hate them because number one they run number two. They roll back it like, never failed. It rolls back, it shrinks stretches. It does all kind of things that I don't want it to do, and it's a lot bulkier than the fabric i like to use. Some people use iron on patches that you get from the store. Those to me are too thick and they're, also too old, pink because our scouts or not they're, not as old baked as we think they are because there are a lot lighter than our skin, but they're not addressed. It'S not a drastic jump in color. So to me those are too opaque and there they become they make it look more like a still closure which to me creates that line of demarcation. So by person you don't like it, but it might be something you want to try. What i use is a chiffon fabric, okay, i'm going to show you the different ones, so you can see what they are. If you want to find them in the store, you can find the minimal most craft stores of battery stores. I get mine from joann's fabrics. This is one of them once i use you can see that it is somewhat sheer and it is very, very thin, so it's breathable and it dries quickly and it doesn't run it doesn't stretch too much and it's not going to roll back and shrink. This is one of them they come in different colors. This is another type, this one's a little different. This one has a little more stretch, still a very sheer, very durable here's. Another Titan is also on another colored. They have different. Colors is from our ladies to have much lighter scallops and here couple pairs, another one, okay, so in the lawyer color they have darker colors as well. I haven't had the privilege of picking up any dark colors yet, and this is a different type of fabric. I actually had one of my boss equate clients send this to me just because she was being so kind, and thank you I appreciate it down. This is a thicker fabric. Okay, as you can see, so it's going to take it's going to be a little thicker under the closure, but not too much it's going to take a little longer to dry. Let'S go: go back more opaque, I'm going to put my these under closure, so you can see what it looks like with it. You see what it looks like without it: okay see everything behind it with the fabric underneath and I only use one thin layer of the fabric. I don't fold it over one thin layer, then it looks more like out and it's a much more natural ingredient than the harshness of the silk closure. Okay, i'm going to show you why the other colors behind this closure and if you are concerned about how to apply this fabric to the underside of closure, i actually have a video Sean a little bit about how to do it. I'M going to do another video in detail about how to do it. You can either so it onto the closure or you can just apply the fabric to your head or to your wig and then so the closure down on top of the fabric, but here's another one. So you can see the fabric underneath looks more like scalp and the darker the fabric. Of course the darker, the scalp is going to be, and this fabric is actually really cheap, probably like maybe two or three dollars a yard and seriously you don't need a yard. You don't need a quarter of a yard, you don't, I need a tenth of a yard, but just get a yard, so you have a bunch of it left. You saw the finish one of my other color, but i'll show it to you again. Okay and I'll show you the other side of the closure. When I add the fabric, I don't ever add it all the way to the edge of the lace. I always leave a little delays hanging over because you want the edge of your closure to sit just in front of your hairline, and so you only want that fabric to cover your hair. That'S your hairline! You don't want to extend beyond your hairline because then you're going to have a line of demarcation, so you want it to fall so where the fabric stops at your hairline and it doesn't go past it. But the lace does so that it's a flawless transition from your forehead to the closure down into the scalp. Okay, you don't want to take the material too far back, because then it won't reach far enough to your hairline and you'll see darkness. It'S going to jump from your skin color to dart than to scalp, so i'll show you how that looks if it's too far back you're going to you see that line right there, that line of demarcation. So you want to make sure you get that part just right, and you can also check out my other video about the closure basics, which has some great patterns to wear under your closure. Because one of the most important parts about installing your closure and having a flawless application, is your braid pattern. Underneath, if you want to part your closure in more than one place, it needs to be completely flat under the closure. Whether you place your closure in the middlebury place on the side needs to be completely flat, so check out that video for the brain patterns that show you how to do it completely flat underneath so that, because oh my gosh you're just going to show you guys In I see this all the time and I'm just trying to help out so that you know a lot of people may not know that this is happening with him, but they have a closure and the hairline looks great and I think it looks great. But instead of the closure going straight back flat like this on their hand, it goes up like that because they have braids thick braids underneath and it doesn't look natural because people's hair so cold, like that. So you kind of see what I'm saying the scalp. It'S like your scalp is raised up, makes you like young Bill here, instead of having it flat down like that, where a scalp should be. It'S literally like up like this okay. So that's why you wan na have a flat foundation underneath your closure gosh. I hope I touched on everything today on this video I tried to. I just wanted to cover lace closures again and just to show you guys the difference between the ribbon edge, the pu strip, which is on the only closure that I did on a previous video. This is going to be the ribbon inch where the laces fold it over. Okay, this is the type of closure that has no anything, it's just lace and this one actually has toner on it. But this is the pu strip and it's like a plastic or rubber. Okay, so if you all have any live questions about lace closures, please feel free to ask and i'll do an updated video about them, but i just want to touch on that with you guys, really, quick and i'll go to whole time. Two guys later.

muziklova220: WOW. This is probably one of the best review videos on youtube. You really broke down this process very well. Unfortunately, I had already purchased a 4x4 closure. Hopefully, it's not going to look too bad. The one good thing I did was getting it in light brown vs dark brown. Quick question, which lace color matches with your complexion? I'm a caramel color, but I figured that I would try the spray tan method if it's too light. Thanks!!

MissNancyLondon: Thank you for this!! Awesome video - SOOO helpful.xxx

Monebyrd: Thank you for always sharing. You are always detailed, luv that! Enjoy your day!

lissytwo: I saw on instagram you had a closure cut straight down the middle.. Could you possibly record a video on how you apply that or explain a little the process because I would like to try it. Thank you for this extremely detailed and informational video!

70’s Fashion &Hair Channel: hello missbossy, i wanted to ask do most lace closures allow you to part the hair any way you like? or do you have to specify you want it that way? im buying one for the first time and im skeptical about ordering one because im afraid of not getting what i asked for. also do most lace closures come with baby hairs or is that something special that's added?

Rosette Cleveland: MissBossy!!!!! This is a great video!!! Thanks soooooo much, very helpful.

racleme1: This was very, very helpful. Thanks for being so kind.

Dashizzzz: I have a question that's been bugging me for a while. Is there any way to ever hide that line where the closure meets the scalp? You don't ever really see it in videos gurus make, but its a problem I've been having with my own closure. Thank You

MissBossyLIVE: I do have a video step by step of the sew in process. You can check my closures playlist. You can either fold the extra lace or cut it back leaving about 1/8th inch of lace in front of the hairline

Giselle white: Simply wonderful tutorial

Supreme22: Thanks for the very informative tutorial, are you a teacher ? If not you would make a good one. I am having a problem finding a closure. I was so happy you mentioned if you have thinning hairline or bald areason the hairline or on the two sides. I have an extemely thininghairline. Can you please tell me the best suppliers to get brazilian natural or body wave closure --where you can select the right measurements based on what you need ? Thank you

MissBossyLIVE: @sexivonda21 That is wonderful and I'm so glad I could help! Congratulations on the great business growth :)

Pretty Brown Eyez: How can I go about ordering a bossy wig with an installed closure on it from you. Your method looks great and hair is so natural. I just went natural all in the back but the front of my hair is breaking off so bad from heat damage and I want to try something different.

stillirise: Hi hun: I have a closure that was orange when I got it and before i saw this video, I bleached it again and now it's REALLY orange--like a burnt orange really. I have tried the purple shampoo, but can't find redout in Canada. If \i use an ash blonde dye on the closure will that tone down the orange? I was thinking of getting a toner, but I don't know what shade would work? Can you please help me? I am going on vacation this Sunday and need to fix my closure. Thank you!

Supreme22: Thank you, for your reply. So you recommend the two above companies as quality ? I s the hair cuticle aligned virgin hair?

MissBossyLIVE: yes you can. I have a video on how to correct closure mistakes. You'd use the mascara wand like shown in that video for the roots and then apply the color as normal to the rest of the hair

Shelby: Can you recommend a good website or a few websites that sell lace closures?

miasharee83: i went to the fabric store last year saying this to the lady "im looking for silk fabric to match my scalp" can u imagine how they looked at me? lol like a nut. she told me they didnt even sell silk in the store lol

MissBossyLIVE: You can sew the closure and wefts onto a wig cap. That would be your best option

suzzette tyler: Could you recommend a person or company to make custom closures?

Jennifer Love: Thank You! I just got to figure out how I get to your closure playlist...I'd probably see it of I go on a pc but if it isn't too much trouble can you post the link? Thank you so much!

Michelle Moorer: Very good video, you spoke very well. I understood exactly what you were talking. Thanks for so much info..Michelle

MissBossyLIVE: you'll have to confirm the specs with the companies, but I do know that both companies sell good quality hair and closures

Angeliquexo3: this helped me so much im so newww to this im def subscribing !

MissBossyLIVE: You can bleach the hair on the closure to bring it to a number four. If you plan to also bleach the knots wait and do that after you color the hair

Erica Curry: What brand of closure or type of hair blends best with Curly C

MissBossyLIVE: No, not a teacher, but thank you. I don't know of where to get a good closure in those textures. My go to vendors for closures are Glamour House of Hair and ONYC Hair. You select your measurements based on how much area you want the closure to cover on your head

MissBossyLIVE: if I ever get my hands on one I will definitely do a video

MissBossyLIVE: I use different types of caps, mesh, lycra or silk. I have the silk caps custom made to fit larger heads

MissBossyLIVE: yes, you can hide it. Check out my latest closure video. There's a tip in there on how to conceal it

Tyra L: How far back do u cut the closures to match your hair line

MissBossyLIVE: thank you, I'm glad I could help :)

5001Isaac: As always thanks!!

MissBossyLIVE: I would specify what you want just to be safe. And baby hairs used to be standard, but not you generally have to request them

MissBossyLIVE: @ADORE7373 it should work, but be careful not to cut the mesh under the closure because it will stretch the stocking and might cause it to rip

jaysicka06: I'm getting ready to order my closure from a pv I can't wait

ADORE7373: I want to do a wig using a mesh cap cuz I dont want a sew in. Will this work if I put a stocking cap onto the mesh?

MissBossyLIVE: try adding makeup in a shade a tiny bit lighter than you complexion. That may help. Or try Rit color remover

MissBossyLIVE: Behind the hairline you can place the fabric like 2mm from the edge

ADORE7373: @badassredd1 she did ..if you look at the not sealer seg part, there was a list at 2:49

MissBossyLIVE: Do you plan to use dark hair or blonde hair?

ChildofGoodFortune: Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

MissBossyLIVE: @stargazer0727 Thank YOU for the kind words :)

MissBossyLIVE: Thank you :)

MissBossyLIVE: Thank you :)

CANDITA CAMPBELL: Very good info

MissBossyLIVE: @Teuilafy yes you can. you would just cut the lace portion of the wig off and use it as a closure

Corpsmistress: You just got a new subscriber!

ADORE7373: I didn't get corrector. Is it better to use? . I also finally placed and order with extentions plus for their weft sealer..Better safe than sorry...they were cheap but the shipping is expensive

MimeeFab: Thank you so much

MissBossyLIVE: not sure, I always get mine custom made because a good match is too difficult to find

Bawse Designz: this video is great .

MissBossyLIVE: @MsShayelove thank you :)

ADORE7373: omg smh I bought 40 volume developer ugh! Can I use it or go for 30?

andreasweetascoco: Very good video.

ADORE7373: Ugh I had to spend $300 on a wig on short notice... I cant seem to find a big enough mesh cap for my large head lol. Not to mention my hair is to thick underneath. What do u use thats breathable? those dome caps can't be good in summer for a full wig

DollsbyDaniel: so I am white and I want to do a closure what color do I bleac the knots too?>

MissBossyLIVE: You don't have to use the color corrector, but you can. I prefer to add a blue toner to my bleach mixture now

MissBossyLIVE: Thanks!

ADORE7373: Help! I did wig on the deluxe mesh cap, but it;s a bit small. Can this be fixed by Friday eve lol.

MissBossyLIVE: I don't have any recommendations, but most companies sell closures

MissBossyLIVE: @cocomomo80 thank you :)

MissBossyLIVE: @MimeeFab that closure was purchased from ONYC

MissBossyLIVE: @ADORE7373 thanks for getting that for me, I was a bit late on my response :)

MissBossyLIVE: I cut the lace all the way back to the closure hairline

MissBossyLIVE: @SHELJOS I know some that sell lace closures, lanikshair(dot)com and ONYC

MissBossyLIVE: @ADORE7373 you can use it, but watch it carefully (you mean for knot bleaching right?)

MsTejo33: Thanks you

ADORE7373: yes and ty so much for responding to ALL my ?'s lol

MissBossyLIVE: I always get tan or transparent

MissBossyLIVE: you're welcome :)

ILoveToScrub: good info

FrancesChenii: what hair do you have in on this video?

MissBossyLIVE: @0hsoBanqin you are very welcome:)

MissBossyLIVE: crap, sorry I'm late. But I'm not sure if it can be fixed as I don't specifically use that cap. Not sure what may have gone wrong
