Hey guys, what's up, i'm your girl, steph g and if you're new to my channel, welcome super excited. You are joining me today. Now on my channel, i share business tips, i do entrepreneurship, vlogs, lifestyle, vlogs and all that good stuff. Um so definitely go ahead and check us out, but let's go ahead and just jump right into the video. As you guys already know from the title of the video i'm going to be sharing with you guys how to find a good hair vendor, i'm going to share with you guys tips things that i did drop some gems. So if you are interested in starting a hair company or in the process of starting one, hopefully what i provide helps you, or at least you can use some of these things that i that i did um some of these tips and implement them into your little System or your process to find a good vendor, so i have my notebook because i definitely don't want to forget anything. I want to make sure that i provide you guys everything that i did and drop some gems, so you guys can find you some good vendors, because it is definitely not easy to find you a good vendor like it is super hard. It is a lot of vendors out there, but you definitely have to comb through them to get you a good vendor, that's going to provide you great customer service and good quality product like seriously like all right, so most important thing and key things to finding a Vendor is doing your research. You want to make sure that you do as much research as possible, like cross reference from different platforms and different areas, to make sure that the company that you're about to invest your money within is actually a legit company. You know what i'm saying: there's tons of scammers out here, so you want to make sure you're very, very careful when finding that vendor um so, like i said research, so here are a few places that i started with when i first started looking for a vendor. Now these are just a few, i'm pretty sure, there's plenty others and if you have found some definitely go ahead and hit me in the comments to let me know you know some of the places that you you know you looked at to kind of find a Good hair render so the first one i have on my list is alibaba. So now, if you guys are not familiar with this, which i'm pretty sure i feel like everybody is, it is a huge company that sells products at a wholesale price and they have pretty much everything in anything on alibaba. You can find everything on there, especially here so on alibaba. You just pretty much go ahead and go into a little search engine and you can kind of put what you're looking for you know what i'm saying you can narrow it down based on the price uh. The quality, the origin and all that good stuff, or you can just go right in and just put, hair benders and a whole bunch of them will pop up that's pretty much. What i did i kind of wanted to go through all of them and kind of comb through them and see. I probably chose the hard way, but at that time i wasn't too sure what i was looking for. So i just kind of want to look through it and see what i was going to find and what they were offering and then i was going to kind of do my own little search afterwards, but alibaba is definitely a good place now, when you go on There you want to make sure that you are looking at the information. Reading is fundamental. Very important is to read, read the information on alibaba. They will provide you tons of information about their company um and, like i said when you go in there, they'll give you tabs and they'll, give you a whole spiel about their company, how many years they've been in business um who works for them, whether they're a Factory, whether you know they're, just a company who sources the hair from a factory and then they sell it to you, they also even provide you the people that work there they're customer representatives, they even have pictures of the customer representatives. So you want to make sure, when you're, connecting with them that you're connecting the faces with the people that you are speaking to makes it easy. Because i mean i found a vendor like that and the person that was on the pitcher as a representative. Is the person i spoke to, which made me feel so much more comfortable to actually talk to them and actually invest my money with them, because i was like okay, they're legit, i'm talking to who i'm supposed to be talking to so very important. To look through that also look through the quality of stuff that they provide um. They may have pictures on there. Most of them do, but i feel like a lot of the pictures are the same. So i would wait to you kind of do more research and look into them, as you speak to them to get pictures of their product um, but also the reviews. Now i'm iffy on reviews, it just kind of depends only because i feel like what other people may like. I may not like it might be a hype and they might be like. Oh, this hair is bomb, and then i get the hair and i'm like this trash like i do not like this hair, but not because just because i don't like it doesn't mean that other people don't like it reasons why i probably don't share vendors. I think that is very important that you find your own vendor. Yes, it helps to get a vendor name here and there and will i share some. I probably will, but i feel like i'm not even gon na front like if i give you vendors and you don't like it, i don't want you to come to me like sis. You gave me a horrible bend in the hairs trash like what i like. You may not like, so you know you may find trash quality and something that i find good quality. It'S vice versa, so i don't really go with the reviews that much i pay attention to them, just to kind of see what they're saying, but i don't base my decision on whether or not that vendor's good for me, based on someone else's decision or opinion on Them, okay, so definitely look into that. Also another place you can look is instagram instagram, it's become super popular for finding hairbenders. Now you just want to make sure that you're very careful, though on instagram, just because there's a lot of scammers that i've heard who have created fake accounts and then just took pictures from other people and added it onto the account and then be like dm me. If you're interested, i don't know about the dm so majority time, a lot of um vendors have their whatsapp number on there in their profile, but even then they're being there. There has been some vendors who have been crossed by other vendors and you know using their pictures and their logo and stuff like that. So once again, research cross reference through different platforms, to figure out whether or not they're legit and that you're, actually speaking to the person that they say they are but instagram. You would just pretty much go to the search engine. You'Ll go ahead and type. What you're! Looking for whether it's raw hair virgin hair you'll, just type in raw hair, extensions and a whole list of vendors will pop up, and then you can kind of comb through there and kind of figure out if you're interested in any of those. Like i said just looking through their bio, their pictures, and then you know you can kind of make a list um the next place would be youtube. Youtube is amazing. I found a lot of great vendors on youtube and there has been vendors who that who have actually started their whole youtube channel. I mean they give you nothing, but so much information about their company. They actually are doing live videos with you, showing you their quality, their hair, their products. You know the people that work there their background, what they do. They have even been companies who have shown you the difference between the grade of hair that they have what's bad hair. What'S good here what to look for to see if it's good hair extensions you know, hair bundles and things like that, so youtube has really been a good one to find a good hair vendor and you can pretty much type in whatever you're looking for whether it's Raw hair, benders virgin hair vendors and there's even been a lot of youtube influencers who actually do reviews on some vendors. That would also help you figure out whether or not they're good um. The next one would be google search engine. Google, i google everything. Okay, so you can literally go on there. Google vendor figure out whether or not they're good, read their information, there's probably tons of things that they have. That will come up for that vendor, whether it's reviews, whether it's an instagram account a twitter account facebook account they even have websites so that might even pop up on there as well. So you want to go ahead and check that out and what's up now what's up is definitely a funny one, because i don't know how to find a vendor on whatsapp. I just know that vendors find you on whatsapp. So tell me if this has happened to you and let me know how this i mean. I still don't know how it works. But if you know, let me know down in the comments how they even find you like, so you will contact the vendor on their whatsapp number and all you ask them about their company and things like that and then you know they'll tell you about their. It'S a hairbender next thing. You know the next day i got like 10 hairbanders hitting me up on whatsapp, like hey, my name is such-and-such i own a hair company, we have business and that and i'm like, how did they find me like? What did they? What did they search? Are they like telling each other is there a database is something that's like i don't know. Do you get a notification that this person is looking for hair and then all of a sudden they just come and swarm and just give you all these uh text messages and all these other things so yeah, i'm not sure how that works. But if you contact the hairbender nine times out of ten you're gon na get like ten other hair vendors that are gon na contact you on there and you can comb through those as well and figure out whether or not um. Those are good. Hair vendors and you want to go with them all right. So after you do that, you want to go ahead and you found your vendors. You want to make sure that you are at least picking five or more vendors. It is important that you have a list of vendors, because a lot of them will probably possibly drop off your list. I had an expectation i made a list for myself and i wanted the vendors to fall within the things that i was looking for and if they didn't they were gone. I crossed them out moved on to the next, and so maybe that's something that you may want to do. Some other things that i was looking for and the expectations that i was looking for in a vendor was um the price, the quality response, time, shipping and customer service. Those are five there's, probably pending more and if you guys have any definitely in the comments um, but these are the things that i was looking for. I definitely wanted to kind of. I had a price range. I didn't want to go too cheap because i didn't want. You know cheap quality and i didn't want to go too high because i still didn't know how good the quality was to be paying that amount of money. So i wanted to find something in between that was still good price, still good quality um then again, once again, the quality, of course uh response time was huge for me um, because i've come across a couple: vendors that didn't respond in a timely manner, and i Don'T have nobody got time for that, like you need someone who's gon na, be on there and be reliable and you can depend on them. So when you hit them up they're going to contact you and of course we know that there is a time difference, and you know when it's depending i mean, i think it's everywhere: china, cambodia, vietnam, india, all those places when it's night here it's day there and When you stay there, it's not here, so you just have to kind of play around with that and figure out. I mean i ain't gon na lie. Sometimes i stayed up real late talking to my vendor, maybe two three o'clock in the morning, but i mean what you're gon na. Do you got ta make money, so you got ta figure out a way how to be able to contact them um so yeah. So definitely finding a response time and, like i said, i found some vendors that didn't respond to me with after, like two three days and i'm like: okay, no cross we're not gon na go to this. I'M gon na go ahead and cut you off now. So yeah shipping is also big for me because i need to know if they're gon na have a decent shipping time, preferably fast shipping. If i can get something within you know five days, perfect, um and less than that amazing. After that, i start the question, because you know what i'm saying like i'm a new company, so i'm starting off with a small inventory trying to see what's going to actually sell on my website. You know you don't want to go ham and buy all this hair and then some of it doesn't sell. So you want to just kind of test the waters and figure out what's going to sell, what's going to be popular and then you start going ham and buying inventory. Of course, when you start seeing money come in as well, so i needed to know whether or not i would be able to kind of do it, not a drop ship but be able to order some of the lengths that i didn't order in the beginning order Them and still get them in a timely manner. So that way i can go ahead and ship them out to my customer uh once you do that, then you'll go ahead and reach out to your vendor when you're reaching out to them. You don't. This is the mistake that i made. I literally just went contacted the vendor and was like hey. Do you have such-and-such hair, i'm looking for this and they literally was like yeah. I had that this is this. Is i'm going to show you what we have now? Nine times out of ten, if you're, especially if you're talking to a vendor in china, they will probably tell you what you want to hear. So my suggestion would be when you're, introducing yourself or when you're contacting these vendors reach out to them, and you introduce yourself. Let them know who you are hey. My name is stephanie, i own a hair company or i'm starting a hair company and i'm looking to wholesale. Can you tell me a little bit about your company, then that gives them opens the door for them to pretty much. Tell you about their company and they will give you the whole thing like they will have a whole paragraph. You know about how long they've been in business what they provide, what type of services, what type of products they'll go ahead and send you a shitload of pictures and videos of their quality, tell you what quality they have and all that good stuff, and it also Helps you find out whether or not your vendor does other things, because there were some vendors that i didn't know do different things like um satin bags, satin caps, satin scarves, and they did tags and boxes and thank you cards and all that good stuff. And i didn't know i mean, but when i asked them about their company they told me everything they did and it actually helped me realize. Okay, this could be a one-time, stop. You know once stop shop and get everything that i need alright. So once you have found the list of vendors that you're going to work with, you want to go ahead and order a sample. Now, some vendors don't offer sample size that you have to buy the actual bundle which i preferred and that's the route that i took. I bought the actual bundle just because i mean i feel like if you're going to give me a simple size, you might be giving me just a good part of the hair and the other part might be trash. I mean. Who knows you know what i'm saying so i wanted the actual bundle just because i wanted to make sure the weight of the bundle, how it felt and how it came in and all that good stuff. And so, if you're on a budget, then definitely just do. Maybe your top two vendors that you're interested in and then just buy a bundle from them and i would suggest buying like the deep wave or the wavy bundles instead of the straight, because straight is straight. You know what i'm saying you want to actually find out whether or not the body wave or the deep weight bundle when you wash it and test it out that it reverts back to its texture that they, you know, manipulate it too. So if you wash it and it's deep wave that it actually is curly and deep wave um, so try those out first and look it out, but yeah order. Your bundles or water sample size check the hair out and you know test it out and that's why i say: do your research to find out what is good virgin, hair or raw hair? If you guys don't know the difference between virgin and raw hair virgin hair is pretty much from multiple donors. They have hair from many different donors and they will put it on a weft and then they, depending on the way pattern, the curl pattern. They have to form it of course, or manipulate it to make that certain pattern, and that's what you get now mind you some of that virgin hair. You may also get fillers if you don't know what fillers are. Why important that you, research fillers, are the red strands that you see sometimes in bundles. Those are the synthetic fibers that come into bundles to actually fill the hair, to make them look thicker, and so some vendors will od and put way too much uh fillers in there and you have a whole bunch of red strands in your bundles. To me. That'S trash. I'Ve come across a vendor like that that provided way too many fillers, and i wasn't with it. You have some vendors that slim to none slim to none. You know, so you just want to make sure that you're paying attention to that um when you're. Looking at the bundles that you receive and also um, if you don't know what floor hair is, i feel like a lot of people, don't know what for hair is floor. Hair is recycled here, so sometimes they're either getting recycled hair from india, because you know india when they get the damaged hair after they don't comb through it. And you know all that damaged, hair falls out and falls to the floor. They will recycle that hair and sell it to china, and china will try to make something out of it same with their hair as well. If they're coming through it through them thick needle comb, that they do and any hair that falls on the floor, they will try to recycle that hair, put it together and then add it into some silicone coating so that it can become this shiny, soft bundle and It'D be really floor, hair, so pay attention very important. You want to know things like that when you get your bundles um, so then yeah and actually i have the bundle that had the red fillers that had too many, and i just wasn't with it, and here you guys want to see if you guys can see It see all those red strands yeah, it's it now. Okay, so just pay attention and like like. I said this for someone. This may not be bad bundles and i mean if the price is right, then this would work um. But for me i just didn't, you know want to provide this type of hair. I was more so looking for raw hair and at the time i couldn't find a really good raw hair, bender um. So i was taking my time to find a good one. So i tried different things and, like i said, for if the price is right, hey, why not, but here at savagerico we are out here trying to provide great quality, hair extensions um. We want you to get your money's worth. You know what i'm saying: we want to be able to provide you longevity in your bundles. That is very important, because i know that if i want to spend my money, i want to make sure that i'm getting longevity, i'm getting good quality stuff. So that's what we gon na do um and i actually found a bra hair bender, which i'm so excited. Now, if you guys don't know raw hair is it's raw hair, pure hair? Okay, it is um from one donor, one single donor and it is cut at the ponytail and it's sold onto a weft and it's either just washed and conditioned and shipped out like that, or they do do a process called steam process and what they do. Is they put it in this machine that seam process the hair? Of course they put it in these rods to form the curl or the wave pattern, and then i believe that they put some water and it's supposed to evaporate and evaporate in the machine and they leave it in for a period of time. And then that's what forms the hair or make that type of wave or curl pattern. So this is our raw vietnamese hair that we will be adding to the collection and i'm so excited, look at this beautiful, okay, you guys don't see any fillers in here. So i'm excited to be bringing this to our collection um, but yeah. So once you guys get your hair and you test those bundles out and you figure out whether or not those vendors are going to work for you, then you want to go ahead and i, what i did was i bought a few more bundles on the ones That i actually liked - and then i had my nieces - try them on. So maybe you can get family or friends to try it on test. The hair out see how it works, or you can test it out and see how it wears for a couple weeks. Um just to kind of get a feel for it. You know what i'm saying, because you can buy hair and it may look good and it may feel good at the time. But then two three weeks down the road it doesn't last and it looks trash. So you want to make sure that you are providing um, that for your customers, so that they're not getting anything unexpected, and then you know you don't really know what to tell them when they hit you back up like this hair was shutting. It did all this and you're like i mean you didn't know, because you didn't try or test it out so, and you can also when you're testing it out on your family and friends or yourself. You can use that for great content like make sure that you're using that to take pictures, do a home photo shoot and things like that. So that way, you can add it on your instagram page or you can add it onto your website um and things like that. I did my own little home photo shoot in the beginning, just because um i was under a budget and i wanted to stay in that budget and not go over it because there's other things that i needed to get so i did a quick little home photo Shoot with them took some pictures took some pictures outside and then i added that on instagram just so that people can see that i'm actually having people wear the hair and test it out. So i'm not out here just saying this is good hair. You know you know how it goes so um they had the hair on for about a month, and i asked them about every week to check on them and be like hey how's, the hair doing. Is it doing good? You know, let me know as honest as you can be, because if it ain't good and it's trash, it's gone, we cutting them out, okay, but yeah. So after you do that you test it out, then you can go ahead and then order your inventory for your hair business. Now i started small just because i wanted to test some of the hair out and see what sells and what doesn't um. I did them popular lengths, like 16 18, 20 um, some deep waves. I did like 20 22 24 and then i just got three bundles of each just to kind of see how it sounds all right guys. So that is all i have for you. I hope that this video was helpful.
