This is a 5 by 5 inch lace, closure wig with a standard wig cap, which makes it perfect for a glueless application. Back to sectioning and straightening my hair kinky straight hair typically has ripples at the roots. So tiny sections are a must. My sections were a bit too big, but this hair is not as resistant to straightening as other kinky straight hair that i've tried. Before i mean just look and judge for yourselves, i only need one pass if i'm doing small sections two, if they're large, like i'm doing today - and this is done without blow drying or using a heat protectant beforehand, i'm trying to heat train my hair so that I can flatten those ripples over time and have an even texture from the roots to the ends by the third or fourth wash day. I should be where i want to be now, just because i'm heat training doesn't mean i'm using the highest heat possible. I like to stay between 410 and 430 degrees, because the hair gets nice and sleek, but not smelly, especially if i have to touch up in the middle of the week, like 450 is fine on wash day. But if you have to touch up with 450, your hair is gon na have that nasty burnt smell, and i don't like that. So i like this wig. It gives me that silk pressed look with very little effort and that's why i like kinky straight and yaki straight textures. They look more like black people's hair. Silky hair is fine, but it's not my preference. I prefer extensions that look like they match my texture, so i'm getting some good progress here and i'm only doing two passes because my sections are bigger than they should be. It'S okay, though it still looks good and i don't need a hot comb gel or tweezers in the part area. As long as i straighten my hair properly, it will fall nicely and i think part of it has to do with the low density. High density. Wigs are always going to be unnecessarily poofy and difficult. Also, thick hair looks better on kinky coily curly types, not straight types, so much one side is done and there is a very clear difference here. The good thing about all of this is, i did not take long to get to this point. I think the total time was approximately 20 minutes of straightening, for both sides give or take, and it lasts at least three days before i need to touch it up. I don't see myself going back to any of my exes use, a flat makeup brush to be more precise, and i prefer my concealer brush, but a smudge or liner brush works too, and this is something that i take my time with, since i won't be touching Up until my next wash i'm done here, but it looks a bit bulky because of the wig grip band, but the hair is beautifully straightened, so i removed the band shifted my part to the side and see how flat it is. This is a couple of days later, all 22 inches of this hair look amazing and the density is just right. I also curved the part, because i wanted to see if i liked a straight or curved side part.
