Hi guys welcome back to my channel, i'm here to do a review on a unit that i have bought a year ago. I did an initial review on some hair from a company called wow african. I'M here to do a one year update to see how well this hair held up the pros and cons. If i buy it again, if i won't so make sure you guys stay tuned watch the full video, so you guys know my final thoughts on this unit. Was it a yay? Was it an a all right, let's get into the details, so let me start off with i'm just giving you a summary of, if you guys haven't seen my previous video, what the specs are of this unit on the length, the color all that good stuff. So i got it from wild african, like i've previously said it's a long straight brazilian virgin hair um unit, it's a 180 density and it's a 360 lace. Wig um the length i got was 24 inch. Um, it's natural hair, color. The cap size was a small 21.5 inches and the lace i got was a medium brown, so i had the knots bleached i put a elastic band on it and yeah that's pretty much it, and so, with this unit, it's not a 24 inch anymore, because i Cut it, the length is about like at my a little higher than my waist, so at my rib cage i am 5'1. It did reach all the way to my hips at 24 inches so, and it is true to length it will give you the exact inches that you pay for after so many months. I wanted a little shorter, so i trimmed it and i kind of wanted it really full at the ends. We all know when you get longer lengths when you get towards the end of the hair, it's a little more thinner than the top of your head, and i wanted it like pretty full thin. So at first i didn't like that and then i grew on me. So i cut it like a blunt cut, so it's a little shorter, it's about like 18 inches, maybe 19 inches on me right now: okay, pros and cons, let's start off with the cons first, so we can on a positive note, um with cons for this hair. I would say there is a little bit of shedding when it gets towards the sixth to seventh month. You have it, it starts to shed a little more. It'S not something, that's a make or break to buy this unit, but it is a little more than than wigs i've had in the past. I would say um if i run my fingers through it right now. No hair comes out, but if you haven't washed it - and it's like due for some a wash you're gon na get a little more shedding like right now, i just got it one strand yeah. I just got one strand just by stringing my hands through it, but um. If you sleep on it and wake up in the morning and comb, your hair out, you're going to get at least 10 strands coming out, and that's just brushing it at that moment. If you keep brushing it's more, it's going to come out the shedding, isn't a make or break. But if you stay up with your deep conditioning and washing then you're you're good you're not going to get the overwhelming shedding there's times where i knew i should have washed my hair, and i did not and that's when shedding occurred, a little more. If you don't braid your hair up at night or like put it back in a ponytail, so it's not like all over the place, make sure you're laying on either a satin pillow or wrapping your hair up at night. Those things can help prevent the shedding um. Then you should be good, it won't be too overwhelming, i'm pretty sure every wig you've owned if you haven't owned a wig, yet you will know that you will con. You will experience some type of shedding. It won't be dramatically like coming out unless you have a really bad batch of hair um, but if you have some good decent hair like this unit, you're not going to get that much shed if you take care of it. So, on that note, um shedding is, i would say, on the rate of one to ten, it's at a five six. So - and i guess you can say that's kind of high, but it's in the middle um, and i the only reason i emphasize on that as like one of the biggest cons is because after so many months like the shedding as it continues every day. If you comb your hair, it started to make a bald spot in the top of like the unit um and, as you can see like it's a little more hair. Let like there's less hair right here than it was when i first bought it. I can easily cover that up and you won't ever know, but it's there and i don't like it. So i cover it up, um and yeah. I just deal with it, but the way this wig is constructed is they made this 360 unit, lace, frontal and, like the whole thing's made out of lace, and then they just you know, put tracks all within the back all the way to like right here and This is all like the lace with the hair attached so like with the hair that is shedding. It'S really all coming from up here, all the hair that is sewn on from the back. It is not shedding at all. So that's something just to let you guys know is it's really just coming from up here, so just being very careful and gentle when you are combing the hair, a wide tooth comb or i use this comb and i make sure, like i break it up like If there's any like tangles, for whatever reason i like breaking up my hands not like tearing it up like you, are like ripping your hair out, it's going to come out. Your rear is going to come out if you're you're um putting a lot of force on your hair to the roots. They they don't they're, not equipped to handle um that much pull and it's gon na come out. So that's pretty much like the only con. That'S the only con i can give for this hair. Everything else is flawless. So let's go into the pros for the pros. As you can see, the hair is still silky. It'S been a year and look like silky, it looks great. It still gets bone straight. You wash it condition it flat iron it you don't have to go over with the flat iron too many times, really once possibly twice literally just going through it, and it gets blown straight um today. I straightened it a little bit before the video and there were some flyaways that were popping out little small hairs and that came from the shedding like if i'm combing my hair, it breaks like the hair breaks off, but not from the root it may be off. Halfway, so it just sticks up the way you can manage that, whether you get this unit or any unit you have, you can get some edge control. You don't have to get like a really good brand. That really holds your hair down like when you use your edges. When you do it on your edges, you can get like any kind at your beauty. Supply store, um. I use today the she's bomb. I don't have that much in there, so i just like grabbed a little bit of it rubbed in my hand, and just kind of laid it like that on the hair and just laid those hairs, those flyaways down immediately and as far as any shine like there's A slight shine on the hair because i use the hydrating oil mist um from nourishing plus coconut oil. It'S this one right here, just sprayed up like two spritz in my hair um on my hand actually and then rubbed it on my hair, and just like that. You don't want to overwhelm it because then it's going to look all oily and sticky and gross. You really just want to spray like two spritz or one and build up, and just literally rub it through the hair and rub it to the ends. Make sure your ends aren't dry and just get that nice cute glow, so yeah, that's pretty much it trying to make this video as quick as possible, short and sweet. So you guys can get a feel on if you guys should buy this hair or not. My opinion would i buy this hair again. I would, and let me tell you why this hair, like i said multiple times throughout this video, is bomb and flawless and very silky. I'Ve had it for a year, and the only complaint i have is a little bit of shedding, which most units have, and one thing i want to add, with the bald spot forming, which is a huge con, because you're like okay is that going to get worse. Are you going to have for just a few more months, then it's done and with the price that you pay for? Is it worth it only having it for a year um? I would say yes because of how silky and long-lasting and thick and full this hair is it's a 180 density and it feels like 200, because it was. It was thicker than this when i first got it, and this is still thicker than half the units that i have that are at 180 density. So i would definitely re-buy this hair because it's longevity, since it is a 360 unit, so it goes all the way from ear to ear and all over with lace. I can slice this apart, this hair all throughout the size middle and cover that piece up. So technically i have about two more years left if you want to say if they did create a ball spot in every area that i part, i mainly keep it on this side. So that's why it was forming like this most of the time but um. If i part in the middle you're, not gon na see that i don't part in the middle, so it's still fresh full hair in the middle. It'S fresh and full right here. So i can part that down the middle - and i can add a whole another year for me to wear - then i can pour them to the side and have another year, so it can be real. I can really use this hair for about two more years and i'm pretty sure it's gon na hold up. So i think it's really a good bang for the buck and i would recommend you getting this hair. I'M probably gon na purchase this hair again. This exact unit, because it's it's bomb, it is, and you will not get disappointed you won't. The only thing i would say is for people that wear the same style and have their hair in the exact same part and do not change their hairstyle up. For no reason at all i would say, then you will miss out on having it for a longer period of time, because you're not going to want it in the middle you're not going to want it on the other side you're going to. If you want it. Just like this all the time and that's how you wear your hair, then if it does create a bald spot, you're kind of like either you're going to wear a hat every time you wear the unit or you're gon na get rid of the unit. So i would say, if you like, changing your part up change your hairstyle and and maybe you won't even get a bald spot. Maybe i it just for some reason this unit it was, i was a little rough-handed one day and it created one but yeah. It really all depends on if you feel like you, will change your hairstyle if it does create or if it doesn't create at all, then you're golden so yeah. I think two thumbs up for me and i hope you guys, like my video, give me a thumbs up subscribe like comment. Let me know what you guys think about the unit.
