This is just an example to show you how you can rock different types of hair band wigs today on this video we're going straight to the point starting the video right now, let's get into the video so on today's video, i'm going to be using this gorgeous 12, inches uh kinky straight from the sugar hair boss collection. This is one of our gorgeous natural. Looking kinky straight. We need a hairband for this hairstyle and you need a scissors. You need thread and needle these are very important things, and then you need your cap and you need your dummy head. Any dummy size and any cap size depends on the head size, you're, making the wig from so you need a hair band, but you need any color of your choice. For me, i'm going to be using a black hair band because it's easy to use a black hair bun because you can always add a different color of hair band on top of your head of your headband wig, just like the pictures you saw earlier. So what i'm doing right now is just me putting my hair banned on my weak cap. First of all, i quickly want to tell you something for the week that i'll be making today i'm making a very small size of wig, the owner of this week. The head is measured. 20 inches, i mean the circumference of the head is measured. 20.. Please! If you do not know how to check circumference of the head. I have a very detailed video on that. It'S actually a live stream that i did in one of my week. Class videos. Please go and check out that video, and then you understand how to take proper measurement of wig and the right size of caps. You can use from for each heads. So you can see me going right now with my tape to take measurements of the front of the head. Please you can skip this process if you are not a professional, but then, if you're, a professional or you intend to start making work for clients, then this is very important. So what i'm doing right now is because i already took the circumference of the head of the client. I am the dotting the front part of the circumference, because this is a headband wig and for headband wig. If you are a professional, you would know that you do not need the front part of the circle. Friends, and if you are not, i'm telling you that you would not need the front side of the circumference. But one thing i quickly want to tell you is that hair band wigs tends to run smaller than the normal size of other wigs. I don't know why that happens, but that happens a lot of the time. So you want to use a bigger size of cap and a bigger size of manicure maniky. Sorry to see don't hate doll head, oh jesus just use a bigger size, you know. So what i'm doing right now is to measure my tracks where i want my tracks to be. I took half an inch spacing. This is very important because the back side for a hair band wig you can space them as much as you want, but the front side. You are not allowed to space them too much because your tracks would be visible so quickly. Let me tell you something: this is very important. You know giving you more content. Now, let's get back into our video, so i'm now going to start sewing the tracks of this hair. I always like to pin i always like to work with pins because it makes my job really easy, so i pin the first side and i'm going to pin it down on the second side and i'm just going to continue sewing my tracks. So this is easy. I'M just going to go on and sew on each tracks that i have marked you can make your own track more smaller, like more closer if you want to put more hair so for this tie, we're using just one bundle - and this is the right uh tracks - Spacing that i can make to be able to use one bundle, so if you are using two bundles three bundles four bundles, please do you, you know make it as full as you like it. For someone like me. If this week belongs to me, i definitely going to be using about two or two and a half bundle, because you guys know i, like my hair, really really full. Now, let's get to a little bit background story about hair band. Wigs, if you remember or if you don't remember, let me remind you in the late 90s and early 2000s hair band, wigs were a thin and every lady was rocking hair band. Wigs and then last week came in front came in closure came in. All of these were actually in existence, but mostly been worn by celebrities and people from the western award and then when we african discover wearing it or phone, we forgot about hair band wigs now the elbows are making their way back to trend. Believe me, almost every celebrity that i know right now are rocking hairband wigs. If you are not familiar with wig, you might not actually know that they are wearing airband wigs because they actually lay their edges so good that you will be thinking they are actually rocking frontal wigs. Now, let me tell you the advantage of headband wigs over lace. Frontals and lace closures, hair band wigs because they have just bands attached to the front, they will not damage your edges and they will not break your edges and another disadvantage about lace, wigs and lace. Frontals is because a lot of people are wearing them with glue wearing them with got to be gel or any type of glue, tape, and so on and so forth, thereby destroying their edges and causing breakage. It even gives some people saw like i've, seen people who have ripped out their skin while trying to take out fronts. Ebra, hair band wigs promotes hair growth in the edges because by covering it with the band, it's just like a protective style and it can actually make you grow your edges out. So i feel like this is a trend i want to jump on personally, and there are a lot of different styles that you can actually create airbands with another advantage of hair band. Wig is because they are very easy to wear. Even if you are a novice or you just started wearing a wig, i mean nervous when it comes to wig wearing, you can actually still pull it out, because all you need to do is just snap. It on put your extra beautiful bands that you got on top of it or any kind of headbands that you have and you're good to go, and they are also very good for the gym headband. We get good for the gym because you can put them up in a ponytail use, a scarf to tie them or your jean jim band, to hold them up and you're good to go now um. I hope i'm able to tell you that headband wigs are really coming back to trend and i hope you're gon na be trying them trying them out and if you intend to try airband wigs out. This is a regular traditional sewing that, even if you don't know how to make a wig, you can sew this part. This is not the type of sewing where you create loops. All you need to do is just put in your needle and pull it out put in your needle and pull it out but mind you. I want you to take a closer look at this, i'm putting my needle in a slant form. This is the front of your wig. The front of your wig is the most important part in your wig. That'S it so you just keep sewing till you get to the end of the wig. That'S it now we're done with all of the sewing, i'm putting back my elastic band. You know to where i want it to be just take your time and do this scale watch this video. If you have to repeat this video, if you have to but do not skip my abs, if you skip my eyes with a fight, so don't skip my head. You guys know that part where there is a stitch on the headband. That'S the part i'm sewing to the last web of the hair. I hope this makes sense. I put my hair band, how i want it to be pinned it down, then i flip it backward. So in that part where it has line on it to the last web of the hair and then when i flip it back, it's going to cover every single part of this hair. So that's just what i did all round and then i can go ahead and start this week. How i wanted and anything like that and then i think i went ahead and i caught the excess cap that was inside of this wig. It'S at the time i made this week. I had a bread on so i couldn't really try this wig on. You know to style it on my head. I couldn't try it on, but i'm just going to show you some pictures to show you how you can actually style this wig and mind you. You can use any hair of your choice. Synthetic coil is straight uh kinky, not any type of weave. One of your choice: you can even make atta the extension web that i made myself and you can use it to make this tie.
