Hey guys welcome back to my channel, my name is kiara nicole and in today's video i'm going to be showing you my version of a headband wig. I'Ve been seeing these styles a lot lately on youtube and i found them so cute and so convenient so that had me thinking if i could create my own version of a headband wig, but using crochet braids um. If you haven't seen my last couple of videos, i showed you guys how i create my u-part wigs and also how i install them with my invisible part. So i kind of took that same concept of the creating the crochet wig, except that i created a full wig, so i'm just going to show you guys kind of the process that i went through to create this style. Here'S what the wig looks like right after i finished making it. I used two packs of the cuban twist hair and the color number two, the crochet wig cap that i used for this wig didn't come with any combs attached, it's a full cap, but it doesn't have any cones. As you can see, the hair in this natural state matches my hair pretty perfectly so before i actually got a chance to style the hair. I actually had to leave my house so now, i'm just going to put this hair in a ponytail, and i kind of just want to show you guys what the hair looks like and definitely wear this hair in its natural state. If you are natural or if your texture is anything like mine, so i'm just tying a scarf around my head just to cover the band where the crochet wig starts, and this is how i'm going to leave my house for now so, like i said you can Definitely leave the hair in its natural state. I'M going to show you a close-up here just to show you how well this hair blends with my own hair. So here is another close-up of the hair um. If you couldn't tell by the last clip the wig was definitely sliding on and off my head um. So what i did? I decided to sew a wig comb to the front of the wig cap, just so that i can have better control of the wig and i can keep it where i want to. So i decided to recreate some of the styles. I'Ve shown you in my previous videos, so here i'm just taking some eco styler argan oil gel just to get my hair prepared for these styles to flick, my hair back and to lay my edges. So i'm just going to take my scarf just to tie it all down and then i'm just going to let this sit for about 10 minutes just to mold my hair, a little bit before i start showing you guys the headband wig, i'm going to be showing You guys three different styles. Today, i'm going to be showing you, the flexi rod style, i'm going to show you the straight crochet braid style, and i'm going to show you the curled crochet style as well. First style, i'm going to show you today is the flexi rod style, make sure to check out my previous video to see how i do this for this particular style. I flexi roded the hair in its natural state and i dipped it in hot water, so guys styling. This wig is pretty simple. You just want to take the headband and make sure you just cover the start of the crochet wig. I find this very easy and very convenient, especially if you don't feel like doing your hair, and you just want to throw something on really quick. I thought the upar wig was pretty easy and simple, but this style is even more convenient. Really, all you got to do is just lay your hair down and then you'll be ready to go um. So here i just cut some of the hair. I was going for more of a short look this time, so i cut it to about shoulder length, but you can make the hair as long or as short as you like. Here'S a close-up of the hair um. I find it looks pretty natural, especially since i didn't blow dry the hair or straighten the hair first. This is giving more of a natural kind of wand. Curl look so here, i'm just showing you what it looks like with a different hair band check the links in the description box. If you are interested in these headbands, so next is the straight crochet style. This is actually a different wig that i made um. This is also the cuban twist hair, but, as you can tell it's a little bit lighter, this is in the color number four, the wig cap that i used for this wig actually came with combs already it came with two in the front and one in the Back um, but if your wig cap doesn't come with any, you can just sew them on yourself um. I actually prefer the one comb in the center compared to the two on the side with this wig um. So that would be my suggestion for you guys if you do get a crochet wig that doesn't have any comb. If you're new to my channel make sure you check out my video, where i show you guys how i straighten my crochet braids and here i'm just showing you guys a different look with a different headband um like i said you can kind of just switch up. Your look um each day depending on you know what you're wearing here. I'M also showing you guys what the hair looks like if you want to wear it in a ponytail which i found to be very cute um, so yeah guys. Here'S the second look with the straight crochet braids um. I think it looks pretty natural. I love this texture of hair because i feel like it's not completely bone straight. I think it gives more of a natural look, especially if you are someone who is natural and wants to wear a straight look. I feel like this texture matches more of what my hair would look like if i did decide to straighten my hair. So that's what i'm going for! Also guys, if you don't have any headbands, you can just use a scarf that you have. As you can see, i used the scarf that i had earlier and i just tied it the same way. So if you don't have a headband, a scarf is another great option for this style. So the final look is the straight crochet braids curled, using the hot rollers um. If you haven't seen that video make sure you go check that out to see how i style this hair, i'm using the same wig, i showed you previously with the straight look, except that i curled it so guys i'm really loving this headband wig. Look. It'S definitely going to be in my styling rotation. I'Ve been seeing these headband styles a lot lately and i'm happy that i was able to make a crochet braid version. If you love crochet, braids or you're looking for an affordable option, then you should try this style to see how you like it. So let me know down in the comments which of these looks, is your favorite? Is it the flexi rod set the straight look or the curled set?
