How To: Style Headband Wig | My Quick & Easy Go To Hairstyle | April Sunny

Hey guys welcome back to my channel if you are new here, i am april sunny and today's video is a requested one. I actually wanted to get this one out before the holidays, but the holidays came and went so fast. I hope you guys have enjoyed this past holiday season, so i am opening up 2022 with a requested video, which is how i style my headband wig. I haven't had the headband wig all that long, but thank you to the person who requested this video shout out to you, because this was a fun one. If you like to see some of my go-to hairstyles with my headband wig, then just keep on watching. Okay, guys, we are going to start off with this braided band where we're covering the headband with a fanned out braid. You know i love this style. Okay, let's go okay, so i'm starting off with sectioning off the very front section of the hair across the headband. In the front and then tying off the back to keep it, you know out of the way and then here i'm just finger combing through the front section to make it easier to get through when i'm braiding and then from there. I'M just going to not loosely, but not too tight, braid all the way across the headband from ear to ear. Once i reach the other side, i'm going to braid the hair all the way down to the end and tie it off with a rubber band. Okay, we're almost done with this quick and easy look, but we're not done yet. I know it looks crazy so from here you're going to fan out the loops of your braid to your desired. Look i'm going to fan it out to where it covers the headband and gives me a little face frame here. Take out the back and pop in a hair pin just to hold down the side from there. I'M going to mist my hair with water to just rehydrate it and get the curls to pop again, followed by the tgin hair mousse, and you know what this was so quick and easy, and it's one of my favorite hairstyles. Moving on to the second look: it's a messy top knot, top bun, whatever you want to call it, i'm going to start out by sectioning off the lower half of this wig and pulling the rest of it to the very top of my head and put it In a ponytail using a scrunchie, the scrunchie just gives me more volume where i may need it once i have my ponytail in i'm, going to, of course adjust my wig, because i didn't use any hair clips within the wig. But anyway, i'm going to pull all the hair to the top making kind of like curly bangs like really short, curly, bangs and then taking a rubber band and putting it over the bun once and then. Once i do that, i'm going to start pulling out little face framing pieces and adjusting my bun for the back portion of the wig. I'M going to gently pull that forward towards the bun twist it and then take a bobby, pin and pin that twist into place. Now i'm going to take my hair accessory and put that right over the twisted hair in the back just to add some interest to the back of my hair. Then i'm going to pin down the nape area of this wig and take the pieces that are hanging down from the twist in the back and tuck them inside the bun to give the bun a little bit of height here's the finished. Look, i think it's great for running errands or going to the market that type of stuff now. Our third look is piggybacking off of our last one, just taking the hair pin out in the back and then adjusting just the bun portion of it and then putting a gold cuff over the messy bun, and that's it. It'S really that simple. I really like this for, like brunch with my sister or something like that. I think it's super cute moving on okay, so keeping my hair in that high ponytail, i'm going to take the twisted section. That was in back i'm going to twist that around the purple, scrunchie and pin it and then take my gold cuff that i just used and stick my pen from the other accessory through that to keep my ponytail intact. And you guys it is so cute and adorable as it dries it's going to just get bigger and fluffier and prettier. How do you do it? This was actually a bracelet, but i never wore it. So i just wear it in my hair, big enough. Moving on to my fifth look: it is the messy bun. This is actually how i had my hair when i received the request, so i'm going to flip all of my hair over to the top of my head. After that, i'm going to take an outlet band and tie this hair off, but i'm not going to pull my hair all the way through i'm going to create a little bun on the top of my head with some little curlies hanging out the bottom you're going To take the little curlies and pull them down as face framing pieces, i love this look. I love little curls around my face, so this is perfect for me when i got the request. This was how my hair was and then i had um my glasses like sitting right here, but yeah right. My hair is not completely dry, but this is the finished. Look and i love it, okay, my sixth look. I call it my go to bay because you know this is what we go to right like this, will do it every time we got ta do a whole bunch of hoopla. I know y'all said don't put gel in the hair, but i like how it dries with the gel in the hair. I don't like when it's just mousse, because the mousse gets to me. It gets kind of dry and flaky and stiff, and i don't know i like the gel in the hair better, but i'm not gon na put any in today. Do i look sexy like girl? What what i look like. I pop this on pop some lashes on his lashes, get real disrespectful and that's why i like to put it underneath the lash, but even if i don't have makeup on pop my wig on pop some lashes on put some lip gloss on and i'm i'm feeling Myself and even if ain't, nobody else feeling you as long as you feeling yourself. That'S all that matters, that's it sis, alright guys. So those are a few of my favorite go-to hairstyles with my headband wig.
