Hey y'all welcome back to my channel, so we're doing another video with curly me hair and it is a water wave, headband wig. So i already have headband wigs videos on my channel, so i wanted to do something different, so i did get a lot of headbands to style the wig with and some wig caps. But here is the wig i'm going to take out the bag. So you guys can see so here's my natural hair. I know it's been a while, since some of y'all have seen it some of you probably have never seen it, but yes, i have a head full of hair under these wigs, i'm 100 natural. My hair has gotten pretty long since i big chopped five years ago, it's down my back so yeah, just a little natural hair update and i've been informed that i'm not 4c. I thought it was, but i'm not so the natural gurus or the natural stylist people have informed me, i'm either 4a or 4b or i could be a mixture of both so yeah. I am type 4, but it's um. Definitely like a 4a 4b. So back to styling i'm doing a half up half down with my headband wig i've seen other people do it, so i'm gon na try to do it on myself. So i'm just going to part my hair in half half of half up half down and i just tied the top half up out of the way and i'm spraying water on my hair because it's easier to manage when it's wet. So i'm just going to lay that down with some eco styling gel and that's pretty much it. This is not my natural curl pattern. This is a braid out. I like to work on my hair. When it's stretched out, i don't like putting heat to my hair. So if i can avoid putting heat to it, i will, and yes i know my part was a little crooked. I really couldn't see in my mirror and my lights are just so bright. Sometimes it like blinds me, but yeah you're not going to see it you're not going to see the part, so it doesn't have to be completely straight. I just need the back slicked down, so what i really want to focus on is just getting the front slicked, because that's what you're going to see so i'm going to use some eco styling gel. I also use this edge control. I wouldn't recommend it. It'S not! The best edge control, but i bought it. I can't return it so i'm going to use it but yeah, i'm still on the hunt for like a really good edge control for my hair to hold it and keep it in place and last so, yes, i'm going to be brushing up my edges, my brains Must have everything we want to get it as tight as possible, because i want it to look just really slick back and put together. So now that that's done, i'm going to braid up the back just so that it's nice and flat for the headband wig to go onto, and i'm also going to braid up the top half as well. So here's the headband wig i'm going to attach that first it does have three combs in it, one at the top and two on the side and also has a comb at the bottom. So i'm going to attach the two on the side. First then, the one in the middle and then the one in the back, and i'm also just making sure that i tuck the headband in but again, like. I said, you're not going to see it when i put this top ponytail on. But i am tucking it in just in case so just to make sure it stays in place and it really doesn't go anywhere. I'M going to take a couple of bobby pins and stick it into there. It'S just going to help it stay in place more. On top of using the combs, so we just really want it snug we don't want it. You know falling off, so yeah, i'm just going to stick a couple of them in there. If you want, you could braid the back down and sew it on. If you want it to last longer, this is just a really quick and temporary style, so bobby pins will do, and this is the ponytail that i got from my beauty - supply store. It was the closest one to match the curl pattern, but it only came in a color number one. I wish it came in like a 1b or two something that would match more, but i wasn't really sure when i was in the store behind it. So i just went ahead and bought it, so it has a drawstring that you can tighten it to your liking and also a comb i'm going to take that comb and i'm going to attach it to the front and tuck it. Underneath my little ball, my little bun and i'm going to stick the bun inside of the drawstring ponytail and then wrap the drawstring around, and i'm also going to take some hair from the back to wrap around the drawstring ponytail. But it's not the best method. For this type of ponytail, if you did the ponytail with tracks, then it would be better, but since it's a drawstring it that method didn't really work for this really like this style, i really like the fullness of it. I just wish i had got the ponytail in a different color like i said, i didn't realize that they were two different colors until i'm looking at it right now like with these bright lights, shining on it, because it did not look. I couldn't see a color difference when i was filming it and looking in the mirror, but now that i'm looking at it now, that's the only thing that i wish that i had done different, but i can easily i can easily color and dye the the headband Wig jet black to match so i'm doing some baby hairs because i have a ginormous forehead. So i'm gon na do some ginormous baby hairs, so yeah, it's very much jada or sweetie type of baby hairs, but yeah. That'S all that i'm doing here! So so. What i decided to do to hide the ponytail was to take one of the headbands that came in the box and i'm going to use it as a stretchy. And this idea was genius because it looks like a scrunchie and it's big enough to cover up the drawstring where it doesn't look obvious, and it just looks so cute like this, like after this like. I was in love like after this video i'm going to go. Buy a whole bunch of different stretches in a whole bunch of colors, because this is just so cute like how cute is this? It'S very much coming to america, you see me here, i'm barking, but yeah, it's so cute, like i wish. I had some gold string to wrap around it. This hairstyle was so quick and so easy to do, especially with my natural hair. It didn't really take that much time to separate it and slick it back and, as you can see, you cannot see the part. You cannot see the wig underneath, so it's a really smart and easy hairstyle to do, and i definitely want to start wearing like more ponytails and wear my natural hair out more so i'm definitely loving. This look.
