I Didn'T Know My Natural Hair Needed This! A Headband Wig?! Ft. Hergivenhair

Hey guys, what's up, it's queenie here, welcome back to my channel. Thank you for joining me again today, so today's video is going to be about hair. Obviously, if you haven't noticed from the title - and it's actually going to be about a new unit that i'm trying right now so this situation, i know it's crazy in the back we're gon na get there. This situation is actually a ultimate protective style unit. Basically - and it is all about protecting your edges and still being able to wear units, so this is actually a headband wig from her given hair. You guys know i love their products, so i'm always ready to show you what they're coming out with and what their um new things are. So this is a headband wig. So the reason i wanted to try this was because it is something i can kind of throw on my head and go without having any issues without gluing things down, without sticking anything and making sure the hairline's perfect and um yeah. I'M going to take this off and show you guys, what's really going on and all the little attributes to this and we're going to try to style it a few different ways and see what we can actually do with this. This is my first time playing with it, so i decided to film it and see what we can do and how we can style it. I'M going to try to get three styles out of this and um yeah. So, let's take it off and actually get into the details of this unit, just slide it off. I guess damn okay, so this is what the hair looks like it's just a basic curly unit and on the inside it's obviously sewn it's smooth and it also has clips. So you can. Actually. You can actually attach this to your head still. So you have that security, there's clips on the side, the top and the bottom, so you can fully secure this to your head, even though you're not doing any sort of gluing situation, it comes with a standard black piece in the front, just as like a basic Black headband, then you can also get some headbands that come with it and this nice tube one i'll show you guys how that works, but they look really good. So i'm gon na put this on my head and let's play with the styling, so it has a velcro piece in the back that you can just secure and make it nice and tight all right. So first thing: i'm going to do is wet this hair. Just to revive the texture, a little bit, i'm going to use my shea moisture, curl enhancing smoothie, and i'm going to rub that through. I love the curl enhancing smoothies for curly units because they're so heavy and they actually it actually helps hydrate the hair. But without weighing it down too much because you don't want to fill your wigs, obviously with gel um, this is the perfect in between it's like a nice heavy cream that makes the curls pop without holding it down so and then i'm going to do the same. To this side, okay, so now that it's looking good, let's try some hairstyles and see how it looks with this unit and see if this is something you know, that is as amazing as it seems so far so far, all right! So, let's get started as you can see, this is the natural state of the hair. After i've, you know made it look refreshed and i'm just going to i'm just showing you guys the headband, how it looks on its own, but now i'm going to do a style, that's kind of out of the way i wanted to try something that was pulled Away from my face, the nice thing about this unit is that the tracks are sewn nice and close together. So, even if you do something like this, you part it. You won't see tracks kind of lingering in between it's not spacey. The hair is nice and full. So i was able to pull up the front section of my hair and create this little bun at the top and make this half up half down situation without exposing my tracks. So all you need to do is take a little elastic and i try to gather as much as i can away from my face and still leave lots in the back. So then i have some volume and then i stick on this headband. Obviously you can use whatever headband you'd like or you can use headbands that can come with the wig or whatever the situation is. You can use ties, but i decided to use this headband, so i'm just going to push that up and actually move the wig back. Just a little bit and then i can go ahead and style. My edges, if i'd like you, don't have to do this, you can always cover your full edges, but i wanted to see what it would look like if my edges were done. The nice thing is, even if i don't sweep my edges, the wig pulls it back nice and smooth. So i don't really have to do much, but i'm going to go in with a little bit of edge, control and clean it up just to give it a bit more style, and i feel like it looked so much better. But again the wig is able to pull back your hair, nice and smooth. So then you don't need to add edge control, so this is the result of the first style. I think this is my favorite um they're all really cute, but i really really like this. It'S down it's out of my face, my edges are done and it's secure the two headbands right there. My wig is not moving. So let's try out this next style, so i took it out, put it back into its regular state and i'm taking advantage of the fact that my edges are done and i'm going to do a style with that. So first things. First, i'm going to flip it up into a bun which, if you want you, can wear the hair in a bun just like this as well, but i'm just going to get it out of the way. So then i can put on my other headpiece. So i'm just pulling it up and tying it in a bun. You guys can see it's secure. All the way around the headband covers everything, so i could actually just wear it like this. If i'd like to - but i wanted to you know, do something a little different. So i'm going to add this orange headband, it's a similar style to the last one and then i'm going to secure it in place and then take down the bun and style it into a new style. All right. So i just pulled the hair back down and i'm going to do a low ponytail style. So the thing is with this: i don't want to tie it into one ponytail, because i want to give myself extra length and extra volume. So what i'm doing is kind of splitting the ponytail in half to have an elongated low ponytail. So i'm separating the hair in two as you can see, and then i'm coming to the front to see how i can pull all the hair away. From my face and make it look like it's all going into a ponytail, so it's kind of an illusion: i'm just pulling away all the hairs that are in the front and then i'm tying them in the back and creating this ponytail up top. And then it looks like i have a really long ponytail, so you want to just fluff it and blend it. The best you can and it'll give you this really big, ponytail look and then, of course, you can either leave it defined and curly like this or you can fluff it out, pick it out and make it into like a bit puff, and you guys can see The coverage i have is amazing, so the black piece is going around and then adding this headband gives me even more coverage. So it looks great and now it looks like i have a nice long, full ponytail. So it's kind of just an illusion. You can see. I have the ponytail up there, but it's not tying up the rest of the hair, which is nice, so it's comfortable. It'S not tight. My wig isn't being pulled on from the bottom and it looks cute. You can also use this method to kind of get your hair into a french braid style as well, but you know i just fluffed it up and left it out and let it get bigger and bigger throughout the day, all right. So the last piece i'm so excited to try is this tube headband, i'm sure you guys have seen this before, but i've personally never tried one because i've, never, i guess had a reason to, and so this headband is basically a huge one-piece multi-purpose headband. That'S the best way, i can describe it all right, so the first thing i'm going to do is put it over my head and then i'm going to pull it into a headband like this, and obviously this is an option you can leave it just like this And flip out your hair and wear it like a big headband and it looks really cute personally this probably my go-to, that's what i ended up wearing later in the day as well and yeah. This is great, but let's try something different, so i'm gon na push it back and cover the top part of my hair, and this is one of my faves um. I love them all, obviously, but this is giving me going to the park going to the garden type of picnic vibes and i love it. It'S pulled back. It looks like you can get some fresh air with this, like it's just out of the way, and i really love that style. So let's try something else so now i'm actually going to pull up this piece from the back as you can see. So this is going to give me a really really nice pineapple. Look i personally like to get as much hair into the tube as i can so then, that way, it's nice and secure. So i don't like the hair flopping in and out. Obviously, if my hair is more dry and picked out, it'll stay more, but i like to get as much into the tube. So you can see i'm really sticking everything in there and i'm allowing the weight of the hair to pull it forward into like kind of a mohawk kind of style pineapple. You know what i mean, so this is how i like to wear the pineapple and how i like to wear it in this updo. You can obviously also tuck it into like a bun style or more of like a puff style, and that also looks really great. All right guys, so i think that is the end of my little exploration with this unit. I am so obsessed so, okay, so let's just leave it at that. So this is, i will be honest. This is much better than i expected. It was great already with just the black headband, and it was you know it was something useful, but after playing with the different headbands and with this nice tube headband, i feel like this is game. Changing it is so much. I didn't think i was going to like it this much. If i'm being honest, i thought it was just going to be like a nice to have, but now it has, in my mind, become more of a i'm going to make use of this, because this is really really great. I'M really happy with this. I hope you guys enjoyed that little bit of a tutorial. Slash, try out um, i keep looking at it, keep touching it. Let me style this in a way that i can just leave it alone. Okay, so i just took off the headband just so we can look at this one more time in its original plain state, because this looks great with nothing added. You can wear it to the side. You can, you know part it in the middle. However, you like to wear your curls, you can do that you can fluff it out, make it into a really big fro if you feel like it yeah.
