How To Prep & Moisturize Natural Hair Under A Headband Wig!!

So i know that you are part of the gang and, if you are returning hey gang, what's up back with another video, so yes y'all in today's video, i'm going to be showing you guys how i prep my hair to put on a headband wig. This will be the first headband wig that i am trying. I am super excited to be trying it because i know i'm a little late to the game, but i've been seeing it around and i've definitely wanted to try it. Since you know, wigs aren't like my specialty and i feel like this - is kind of the perfect route to go if you want to get into wigs, but don't want to worry about, you know gluing legs and your edges, and all of that. So, yes, that's what we got to do today, so let's go ahead and get into it: okay, y'all! So before i get into styling my own hair, i do want to say that this video is sponsored by vv baby. I really really like how it looks and i went ahead and took the wig out. So this is what it looks like straight out of the packaging. I am super excited to be trying this out. I believe this is in about 20 inches, so i'm ready to get to it because you know it's curly. Your girl live for some curly hair. Okay - and you know my hair is curly, but you know for those days. I don't really like doing my hair. We'Re going to see if this is going to be it for me to just slap it up. We go see if this is just going to be, if me just slap it on and go okay. So, yes, my hair is freshly washed. So i'll show you guys how i'm about to get my hair ready for this wig and to apply it okay, so i do already have a leave-in in my hair. I do. I did go in with the miche lavish leave-in conditioner. This is what i use and i put a good amount on it, because the good thing about you know wearing wigs as like a protective style. You can really really moisturize your hair like a lot and know that it's good and protected, and it is going to be nice and moisturized once you do take the wig off. So that's one thing that i really strive for when i do want to wear. Like protective styles like this, because i need to make sure my hair is still good underneath and not just you know, looking good for the wig, so i'm gon na go ahead and take this out and what i'm gon na do is pretty much put my hair, Like in the back into like two big twi, well, not two twists but um like four twists so two over here and two over here so um, i'm gon na go ahead and add some oil on top of it and just to lock in the leave-in conditioner. I'M just gon na put like a little bit of oil on it. My hair is still pretty wet, so i'm not gon na be adding any water, but i do wan na go ahead and put some oil in my hair and then i'm gon na split it in half and get ready to twist it up with another product. All right so for my moisturizer, i'm gon na go in with this mesh hydrating and twisting butter. I really really like this. It'S super thick and yes, it's one of my favorites, so i'm gon na talk about this. Much and just put it on this section and get ready to twist it up. Okay, so i got this one twist done, so i'm gon na go ahead and do the other four okay. So i got all four of the twists done in the back now. It'S time to figure out how we're going to do this front so y'all know my hair automatically is always in this middle part, but i don't want it to be a part for you know when i apply the wig because half not half of this, but like A little bit of this will be shown, so i wanted to all be pushed back, so i'm just gon na figure out how i'm going to do that, and also you know, put my hair right. So it's gon na have to like go back like this. Somehow and then like that, on the other side, so what i think i'm going to do is brush all this back, while i'm moisturizing and then brush all the bag, because i do want to put like a little bit of gel just in the front um to You know slick it back because it will be like a little frizzy if i don't do that, so yeah i'll go ahead and moisturize both sections and then brush it back. Okay, so now that i got this pushed back, i'm gon na go ahead and use my um hard bristle brush brush it to make it look super smooth and then add the gel on top. So if your hair doesn't automatically have a part in it, then you won't have this problem, but my hair, it loves to do this because that's how i always wear it so me actually brushing it back like that. It just takes a little bit more effort. Okay, so i'm gon na take some of this extreme wet line gel just to slick it back. I'M not gon na use that much because i don't want too much gel in my hair, but you know just enough to give it a cute sleek. Look at the top okay: now i'm gon na go ahead and slick down my edges with some edge control, so that can go ahead and be laying into place okay. Now, i'm actually going to you know, make this ponytail a little bit tighter, because i just made it a loose ponytail because we are ready to. You know really have his sleep back. This is kind of cute okay. Now i'm gon na split this in half and then twist up the hair, so it can be nice and moisturized. I, like the other twist. Okay. Now we got all our twists now, it's finally time to put the wig on and style it okay. So let me give y'all an another close-up. Look at the wig. I am going to wet it and put some product in it, so it can look really really nice because, like when i have curly hair. Like this, i, like the the wet look on me. I feel like that's really cute, so let me just show y'all what it looks like from the inside. It does have some clips, as you can see, to help attack not clip some combs to help attach to your hair. So it can all stay in place and it goes and it does come with the headband strap so inside the packaging. They did include some headbands and they also did include a wig cap, so we're gon na go ahead and put this on okay. It actually came with two of them, so that's a plus so with my hair, i'm just really gon na like bunch it up at the bottom, because i know like it won't. You know do too much and it'll still like lay flat, because my hair is still wet, so it's not gon na be like a big hump or anything like that. So i'm just bunching it up like this, and i'm gon na go ahead and put the wig cap over it like that. So that's what it looks like in the back. Okay, so i'm gon na go ahead and try to apply this, so i'm gon na go ahead and i don't know just try to put it on like this, make sure it's clamped in the back or clamped on. You know all sides, but at the back first crazy how simple this is so crazy, okay, okay, i think i'm gon na do this like this, so i can show a little bit more of my hair but okay, now i'm about to wet it and see what That'S given, let me split this in half, so i can work in sections you, okay, i'm gon na put like a little bit of gel in it now that it's wet, so it can stay like this just a little bit, not too much, and now i'm gon Na go ahead and do the other side y'all see the difference. This is with no product. This is with the product period, okay, y'all, so i went ahead and did the other side. So this is pretty much how it's looking it's looking super cute. I was gon na try on the other ones, but they're not really my style, so i really just kind of like the black i'm not even gon na hold y'all, i'm not really into like headbands like that, but i do like that they do include them. For you guys, so that is really really nice, but i really just like how the leg look. I feel like it's nice and sleek. I did kind of like fold it so so it won't be like as thick but yeah. This is pretty cute. It'S like a quick, you know, you don't really feel like doing your hair. You can just throw this on you. Have you a little hair, do a hair style, and you know all you got to do - is just pretty much a wedding put some product in it and you're good to go because well, i do recommend that you probably style it before you put on your hair Because just so, it can be like an easier process. Just if you got a mannequin head put on that, you know put your products in with it and then put it on your hair, because yeah it'll just be even shorter amount of time for you to actually do your hair and it'll just be ready to go. But this is cute, like i'm a little late to the game, but why always tell me to go ahead and try these out, because this is cute. You know when i want to put some weave in my head. You know i don't feel like doing my hair. I feel like mess with my hair, but it's still good and moisturized underneath i feel like that is the perfect combination. So, yes, let me know if you guys want me to try out some more headband wigs, because i'm really really digging this one um. I feel like the hair is really good. It'S nice and curly. All i did was put some gel in it and it's pretty much gon na dry just like this, because it's like already almost dry like it's, not even that wet. So i already know it's not gon na poof up or anything like that, and if it does, i'm used to big hair. So i wouldn't mind that anyway. But yes, i guess that's pretty much it for this video.
