This is just the most wonderful time of the year. For so many reasons. Obviously it's the holiday season, lots of fun and festivities going on. But on top of that, it's my birthday, your girl just turned 31 today and i'm like what it doesn't feel real. But it's here, i'm embracing 30. So far so good, even though it started off with a freaking pandemic, i still made it through the year with all of you and i'm so so thankful and grateful. At this point, we have reached over 21 000 subscribers. What in the world are y'all kidding me who's out here, sharing my videos like for real for real, because y'all's a real mvp, literally last year y'all, i turned 30 right and i traveled to columbia and at the time i had just reached 7 000 subscribers on My birthday, so the fact that we have grown 15 000 more since then this is so popular. I just don't know what to say, but thank you. Thank you so so much for an awesome year, and just you know being here for your girl, subscribing commenting liking. Sharing hyping me up at every comment. I read it every single one and it just really makes me smile. My love language is words of affirmation. So when you say nice things, i get a little mushy inside. So that's. Why i'll be telling y'all to please comment because it just it's just really nice to see your positive feedback now, a big part of the reason why why we have been growing is due to none other than these headband wigs. I started putting out several videos and y'all loved it absolutely adored it and i just kept it going so and if you haven't checked out those videos, if you are new here, welcome to the family sis check out that description box. I have all links provided down below after this video but yeah y'all. I realized i never really did a part three to my top ten cheap headband, wigs. So here's the part three you're like gladys, ten, more wigs. Yes, it is ten more wigs, but we're doing it different in this video. I'M not showcasing all 10 wigs and talking about all them like. I did in the other two i'm going to talk about three wigs and then the rest is going to be in a lookbook format and if you're familiar with my lookbooks, you know i like to show the hair flip it around play some fun music. So that's just gon na be a little special treat for y'all at the end of the video, so make sure you watch till the end. If you want to see my look book, please please watch because i think you really will enjoy it. So, let's just dive right into this video with this headband wig on my head. Yes, oh my gosh as soon as i saw this on deanna monet, my god, i knew i had to have this as my birthday wig. This is the new nietzsche half wig h301. I mean come on. Look at this. Look at this uh-uh, this ain't, no good, these niches, they're, no good, deanna honey! Thank you so much for showing this, because this is beautiful. Oh my god, the perfect yaki texture, it's a beautiful blown out texture. These curls are done so so well, i need to calm down. I need to come down because i feel myself getting way too excited and i do currently right now. I am in mexico on vacation, enjoying my birthday and, of course watching this with you all, and i definitely brought this wig with me because she needs to be seen like pandemic or not. I need to go up the street and at least grab 350 cent tacos with this wig on. Oh, my goodness, this is stunning. I know some of y'all saw my top cheap headband wigs video already, if you didn't that's linked down below but honey, if this wig would have came out earlier, she might have hit number one for real for real. That is how much i am loving this unit. You know autry never lets me down. That'S why they're my favorite company of 2020, because they just keep delivering hit after hit after hit my god now we're not going to talk about the faux scalp. That'S something that's been a recent development. I think us wig, bays collectively had decided that is a and oh hell, no for 2021. I hope they got the memo, but this right here make more of this. Put this on the melted hairline series. I'Ll try are you listening put this style on the melted, hairline series. I don't care what you call it h3o121590210. Do it for real because she's a winner, all right child. So now i'm going to show y'all two more wigs. Before i do the lookbook, i don't even want to take this hair off. This is so freaking beautiful, but we're going to move on. I actually brought out. This is shiny and i got her in a burgundy color this time on my first cheap headband, which video y'all showed me so much love on her and i was like you know. Let me bring her back in the color and i think it's the season for red, don't y'all think so too. So let me toss her on and let's see, what's happening, okay, shaunie! Here we go now. I noticed right away that this burgundy texture is. It looks like it's getting frizzier than the natural texture. I don't know. Let me see it's actually reminding me of a sensational amani, a little bit like she's she's, not as coarse but huh. Let'S see what we're gon na do with her to hook her up all right y'all, so i'm back with mrs shawnee and this burgundy is super duper gorgeous. I love red, especially around the holiday season, and i just think it looks so great on brown skin. My goodness now here's the thing, though, a shiny in this burgundy color, is acting totally different from a shiny in the natural color, like i feel like these curls. These curls aren't like really acting right on this side and i was definitely getting tangling off the pack. So what i had to do is i went in with my simply styling silicone spray, which i have been talking about. In my past, few videos definitely grab some up. I heard it sold out on amazon, but i did find a link where it's sold elsewhere. I will have it in the description box. This stuff is this, stuff is magical and it will easily take out. You see that tangle right. There look at that spray that and the tangles start coming out. So you you need this. If you like to rock synthetic wigs like i do, but yes y'all out the pack, she was worrying me a little bit and you see that i had to cut her too, because i felt like the length of the bottom was just extra. Didn'T really need that there now that i have her closer to like the 18 inches. I like her better but yeah. I don't know. Let me know what do y'all think about her in this burgundy color. I think she's super pretty, but i actually think i would like her without the headband like. Let me see something i think i would like her as more of like a bang style. Don'T mind me, i'm just over here trying something out baby. I, like you baby baby, all right y'all, we are back with mr shiny remix yeah. I decided you know what bump the headband we're gon na put her on as a bang unit, and i'm filming it this right here. This style is lit. I know some of you are intimidated by cutting your units, but keep in mind. This is a cheaper synthetic unit. A shiny runs for like anywhere between 14 and 17. So all i can suggest to you is just make sure you take your time and that when you're cutting don't start all the way up here, start at the lowest point and just slowly trim upwards and also cut so that it frames your face like for me In particular, i like to cut in a v shape, so you see how the shorter pieces are here at the front and then it gets longer as you go down. That'S what works for me and i'm actually really i'm impressed by this okay. I haven't really been cutting hair like that in the past few months. I feel like i used to do a lot more often last year, but i still got my skills. Okay, what y'all think, let me know in the comments down below this is hair. I would definitely wear on my birthday, would you let me know all right y'all, so i have one more to show you all before i go into the lookbook, and this is by outre. Lindy is her name. I have her number two color and i saw who did i see in this? Oh, i saw disastrous beauty in this unit in the cinnamon spice color. She looked gorgeous in that unit, but this is her hair and i'm happy to say that this is a textured unit and i realized that when i watched miss christie's video, i was like okay girl. I need this she's a loose wave, curl pattern and yeah. I feel like she's gon na, be really pretty. Let'S toss her on oh wow, what oh come through! Do y'all see this on my head. Here'S one thing this type of loose wave texture. I only see this on silkier or very light yaki units. I don't ever see this on blowout textured units out yo - i oh my god get out of here. Get out of here. I'Ma end up taking this swimmy to mexico, too yo y'all go get this wig, i'm not even going to waste your time. I'M about to go right into lookbook, because this right here is a hit. Look at me absolutely gorgeous. This hair is luscious she's thick super thick, okay, she, hello thickiana. Why would i wait so long to buy this unit see? This is one. This is what i'm talking about, i'm not i'm not playing with y'all, no more cuz. You got us out here going broke over these half wigs. I mean this is this is gorgeous hair and if you aren't into like wearing headbands like that, you could leave just a little bit of your hair out and if you have type 4 hair like mine, if you blow it out, it'll it'll blend seamlessly. With this unit y'all, i'm so impressed with this one so impressed. I thought i was feeling h301, but now, how do i choose which one's your favorite of the three that i've showcased here? One of the things I've learned is to reach out. Everyone is struggling in their own way. It's okay to seek therapy. Talk to your loved ones, friends, family whoever you are close to. Don't even have to see them in person. Call, text or video chat if they cross your mind. Don't put it off thinking "I'll just call them tomorrow or I don't want to bother them" their words could encourage you or vice versa. Let them know how much you love and care for them and they'll do the same.

So thank you for all that you do! I will admit that the lesson that I have learned in 2020 is the importance of self-care. Being a mother, wife, essential worker and a daughter who mother suffers from stage 4 breast caner; I have always been too busy to focus on me. However over the summer I became extremely ill (non-covid related) and was hospitalized 6 times in three months. Subsequently I have been diagnosed with several hereditary conditions with I will now have to learn to live with. One of those things has caused me to require immediate surgery, loose 60lbs and the majority of my hair since July. I have been struggling with all of these new norms while trying to be strong. All while watching my ability levels and appearance completely change. And what I have realized is that I have to slow down and take better care of myself, so that I can be the best possible me for and to others. My lesson this year was to love me more!!! To spend my energy wisely and to appreciate everything!!!!

Watching your reviews have helped me realize that synthetic wigs are my jam. The biggest lesson I've learned this year is the value of slowing down before your body gives out on you. I was team "no sleep" for all of my 20's and much of my 30's and it definitely caught up with me earlier this year when the pandemic hit and threw the world in a tailspin. So even though the world will begin to open up some next year, I will not resume my previous pace. I'm going to look at my calendar and schedule rest, relaxation and fun (all three separately - not together) the same way I schedule meetings.

I’ve even started from your very first video to see which units need to make a comeback in the 2021. I learned a few lessons this year one to to be thankful for everything and everyone you have. I lost my Dad to Covid in April and it was such a rough time and usually I close up but I received so much support and love from my family, friends, co workers and even strangers on IG, so instead of focusing on the bad I focused on the good. My dad was a great man that always smiled and did everything for his family. That’s a blessing and now he can rest knowing that we’ll all be okay. Girl when I announced it in my building unit the UPS driver cried. I want to leave a Legacy like that, when you touch people lives. I also learned to be bold and unapologetically myself. Watching your videos I’ve been experimenting with bold wig colors, bold makeup, cutting wigs and being kind to myself when I mess up and cut too much lol. Showering myself with gifts and just being my true self. I work with high girls and tell them all the time be yourself because you’re dope and I’m learning how to do that myself. Another lesson of setting personal boundaries for myself. I’m such an empathetic but that takes it’s toll sometimes so I need to recharge and reset and I don’t feel bad about it anymore. I found myself in this pandemic and I know it’s been a rough year but this year gave us time to reflect and see our blessings. I hope you, and your loves ones, along with everyone on your channel is blessed this holiday season and that 2021 brings everyone even more blessings. Good question! I've learned to let the little things go, (don't sweat the small stuffs) I've learned to forgive (so I can heal) I've started to pray every morning thanking God for all of his big & little blessings & for allowing myself & my family to see another beautiful day. I've learned to let go of the people holding myself &/ my family back - I refuse to put poison in my body so I refuse to have toxic people in my life. I've learned to stop thinking & talking about the "bad" things that happened in the past bc it makes me remember that "feeling" at that moment. I've learned that I'm a good person who still makes mistakes!! Also, to cherish every moment I have with my family and friends bc we are blessed to still be alive & healthy. Last but not least, this pandemic has taught me that after five daughters (3 who has graduated) I no longer know how to teach my 2nd grader basic math & reading bc my gosh! They switched it up on us parents! Why can't it be as simple as 5x2=10 instead of a huge word paragraph, draw 100 circles, X out 5 rows, Mary had 10 lambs, what's color is the fleece? ⁉️ Yupppp,I have a lot more to learn!! I'm still looking for that certain Honey brown( not too light or not too dark) that will fit me and not make me look "Older" than I am! ( I'm 56, and I have tried on other honey brown but it made me look older for real for real) Anywhoo ...I've learned that 2020 was an emotional year for everybody, corona virus has taken friends & loved ones, jobs lost, hunger,homeless,etc and for the African American community continue police brutality. We must continue to stand together for what is right and what " SHOULD" have been done along time ago until we see "CHANGE" across the board. We saw that at the voting booth but we must not stop there, bc our "Voices" needs to be heard in all levels of local& federal elections and peaceful protests. We must fight for " Good trouble" so the next generation know we didn't do this in vain, but we did it for "ALL" generations to come. Lesson learn is an "OLD SAYING" is " IF WE "ALWAYS" DO, WHAT WE "ALWAYS " DONE, WE WILL ALWAYS " GET", WHAT WE ALWAYS "GOT "! PRAY ALWAYS Smooches

And it's ongoing as I write. I have lupus and pain which adds an added layer of uncertainty to life. But I dug deep to push the fears aside to use this time to build and renew. I've learned that while I'm inside my home 90% of the time alone, I can still be productive and creative! First, lupus caused me to lose ALL my hair in 2016. I found TheHeartsandCake and began learning about wigs. I saw that she followed you and that's how I started following you about a year ago. Your wigs are the styles that appeal to me!! The tips and tricks you've shown me have me looking da bomb-diggidy!! To lose my hair to something I can't control, but fight everyday was traumatizing. Wigs have changed my life!! You and Brittany saved me!! During this pandemic I have been building my lupus beauty website for Sista's of color! I plan to launch March 2021. I'm gone send my followers right on over to you!!
