How I Care For My Cheap Synthetic 3/4 Headband Wig

I purchased this 3/4 wig from eBay for under $40. I have worn her between 6 and 8 times and she is performing like a champ! I always wear her in a ponytail with a headband and have learned a few things about caring for her that I wanted to share!

3 things I love about this wig vs my true headband wigs with a headband attached:

1. You can use whatever headband you want without having to layer over another

2. This one has nice stretch and will fit a variety of head sizes, where as I have purchased 4 dedicated headband wigs and they are all different sizes, 2 of them are so tight I can hardly wear then and I do not have a big head.

3. Even though this was under $40, the hair fibers feel the best of all my very cheap wigs by far!

Hey guys, I am here to do a super quick tutorial for you, and so let's just get right to it. I'D like to show you how I care for my headband wig, so I purchased a very cheap 3/4 wig on ebay and I will link it below. I do have another video on this from glamour styles and because she's so cheap, I she was somewhere around 40 dollars. I think you know she's, not the greatest quality hair, but I've worn her 5 or 6 times now, maybe a few more times. Even than that, I haven't watched her yet and I always wear her with a headband and in a ponytail every time I wear her the first 3 or 4 times that I wore her. I really didn't um comb her or take that good of care of her. I treated her like I treat all my other curly wigs right now. I have on girl, mono and grow. Mono has never seen a comb. I have never combed through her I'm a kind of like this a little bit sometimes to tame her, but I have never combed through her. I just scrunch her. I pick my fingers through her, but I don't want to do anything to these beautiful curls, so I've never come through her. So I did treat this pony wig like that or a headband wig, but unfortunately that wasn't the right call it's a very, very long piece and because the hair isn't high quality, the synthetic it does get really tingly. So here she is right behind me. This is the piece she is in great shape. Let'S see if I can make sure this keeps. If I stay out of the camera, it will stay focused on her, so I'll try to stay out of it now, and so let me just show you what I've done. First of all, I am using this product right here on her this I got on eBay. I was told about mane and tail by a few weeks, sisters who swear by this, and so I have been using this on her only three times now and I haven't really used it on any of my high quality synthetics. Yet but I love the way she has detangled her. So when I first did this a couple of weres ago, she was in rough shape. She was looks like it might be. She was these. It wasn't like. I could never have done this first of all and the curls there. These are sort of spiral curls and they were like curled in on each other. So I'd have big clumps of curls that were almost starting to dreadlock. It was really bad. So what I did was, I just took this spray, and I've already done this to her today. I actually wore her earlier today. I am into Saturday we're gon na go out for dinner for my daughter's birthday so earlier today, though, I was cleaning and running errands. I did have this other wig on and a headband, so I took her off and I prepped her like I usually do and then it occurred to me that maybe I should do a video, so apologies that you couldn't see this earlier. But here's what I'm gon na I'm just gon na recreate it for you! So take this fray and I literally I just spray her down. I don't get her soaking wet, but I do get her damp and then I take my wide tooth comb and I literally I just call them right through her now right now she is combing just beautifully because I've already done it. But when I did this a few years ago - and I hadn't ever done it before this took a really long time and I had to start from the bottom in small pieces - and I literally had to just like get the tangles out. And you know, because I didn't pay, that much money for it. I guess I felt well whatever happens happens and it ended up turning out great, but I wish I would have done it sooner, and so I just comb through it. I start low. I work my way up until I can get my comb all the way through right now, I'm hitting I'm hitting cap. That'S why it's stopping because she's not super dense, but just watch. I mean just see how that goes all the way through and then I make sure to turn her around and spray the nape and then I I comb through the naves and they've especially can get knots if it rubs against your clothes too much. So I comb through the nape, and that is all I do and so then I'll hang it on a wig stand and I'll let her dry. I can get some of those beautiful spiral, curls back in her. If I just kind of get her wet nice scruncher, it did relax the curls a little bit. I'Ll, be honest with you. She quite a bit curlier, but I feel like that's it's worth the price to me. Let me turn this up now the angle of this, because to get this in there is making me look funny um, so uh. I do think it relaxed it a little bit, but her life was going to be short. Had I not done this so that is, that is the maintenance for this. I do this every time I wear her. Now, hang her up she'll be ready to go next time, I'll just put her on with a headband I'll put her up in a ponytail and then I'll just wear her. So I just recommend continuing to watch a lot of videos for advice. I'M not saying that this is the correct way to do it, and some people might watch this and think. Oh, my goodness, you're using horse tail spray on a synthetic wig. I am, and so are some other wig sisters and it's working well for me, like I said, I'm not, I haven't used it on any of my more expensive synthetics yet because you know I'll keep checking if it doesn't make her sticky, though it doesn't, do, leave A smell I mean it just really works to detangle her and she feels just fine. So I'm pleased so far and I'll kind of keep you guys updated, but that's the story. So I hope this was helpful. If you guys have questions, let me know I'll link. The first video I'll link this if they still have it on eBay, I'll link. This headband, wig and you'll be good to go, have a good day guys thanks for watching

Clara: I used to shampoo and condition my GSD who had dry problem hair due to health problems and it is great if used regularly it helps strengthen etc. But I would have never thought of using it on synthetic hair what a great idea!! Please keep us updated

Lori F: I have this wig as well, but haven't worn her yet. This is a great idea! Thanks for the info! :)
