Wig Hacks Everyone Should Know + Stop Your Wig Sliding || Powder Room D Lace Front Wigs

I'M going to show you how to wear your wig tight, I'm going to show you how to wear your wig just right. First, you cut the lace. Then you pluck the hair, so many tips that I want to share so listen fast or listen, slow, wig, hacks! Here we go hi guys and welcome to my channel. So today, yes, I am Blu davon D dev, and I - and that is because I am a rockin and leather pad around a league. So today, I'm going to be showing you guys some of my favorite week hacks and how to make your synthetic lace front. Wigs, look more real when wearing them. So if you've got a wig at home - and you don't know what to do with it or you're in the market for buying a new wig, then this video is for you so keep watching and let's get into it, okay. So the first thing you want to do before you even think about putting your wig on is to get your hair into some kind of manageable state. That'S going to fit underneath the wig. Now, if you have extremely long or thick hair like I do, then you're probably going to want to braid it or plat it. If you don't know how to braid, I've done a side part, because I generally wear my wigs to the side. But if you like to wear your wigs with a middle part, then you can by all means braid your hair in the middle. If you don't know how to do braids, like I said before, you can just plot your hair and pin it up that way. Braids are just a little bit more secure, but it's not make-or-break. If you can't do them. So don't stress the next thing we want to do is start prepping our week for wearing so you'll notice that your wig comes with a whole bunch of lace around the hairline, and we want to cut all that lace off and to remove it. So we're just going to cut the lace around the hairline, making sure that we are not cutting too close to the hair, because otherwise you will start cutting in to where the hair sits on the lace and losing hair no web fold. Once that is done, we want to start creating a more natural part line, so move the hair to a part that you are happy with and as you can see, there isn't much of one at the moment. So we are going to grab some tweezers and slowly start plucking, one hair. At a time in the pot we have created, go slow here and be gentle because you don't want to over pluck or risk the lace. That'S the last thing you need, and there you go. You'Ve got a part one now, we've pretty much almost finished prepping the wig for wearing by plucking the part line and cutting the lace. However, there is one more thing you can do with your wig just to make it that much more real looking when you are wearing it, and that is to give it a spray down with dry shampoo. I personally find that all of my blonde wigs pretty much have that barely any shine to them at all. However, some of the colorful wigs do come with a slight shine to them, so to just get rid of that. We'Re just going to spray it with some shampoo that is, that is potent it yeah. Oh my go it's in my mouth hat: oh, I made it worse, mmm breathing and you just want to brush all that through. It'S got rid of quite a lot of that shine already. I can still taste dry shampoo in my mouth. Ah next up we're going to grab some bobby pins and we're going to pin up these braids so that we don't have. You know two lovely braids hanging down on side, because that's not going to look, what is it and just pin them both nice and flat, and that's it guys you're done so. For each week you buy from powder room D, you actually get to wear caps, and not every company actually provides these, because I have bought of other companies before and they don't always give you them. So believe me, this is a bonus. Okay and you get to two for the price of one well to the price of none, because the first one was free anyway. So so, in order to secure our hair down, we got to put this wig cap on and we're going to go back in time from a human to sperm. Here we go and then once our hair is looking at nice and secure, I'm just going to go ahead and add this headband on what does this headband you asked and why are we using it? Well, let me tell you: this is actually an anti-slip wig headband. It'S like a type of velvety fabric that stops the wig from slipping. So I'm just going to place this on before I actually put my wig on, and this will actually stop the wig from moving around on my head. I purchased this for super cheap off eBay and I will link down below where you can find one. So I'm just placing this a little bit back from my natural hairline, so that I have some of my natural hair to play with once. I'Ve got the wig on and now it's time to put our wig on alrighty. So, as you will notice, when you look inside the wig cap, you'll see that there are these two bra strap looking things at the back and they're. Actually there so you can clip them together once your wig is on in case you need to tighten the wig. You don't have to use this, but it is an option if the leg is feeling a little bit loose, see we're just gon na place this on our head, so I'm actually liking this already and it's not even styled properly yet so before. I start messing around with the hairline and trying to make it look real. The very first thing I'm going to do is use my straightener and I'm just going to fix up any little bumpy bits and I'm just going to make sure all the edges are killed in the right way and how I want it to sit now. If you're going to use a heat tool on this wig, they are heat safe, but you just need to make sure that it is an adjustable heat tool and that you only go up to 180 degrees Celsius when you're heating them, because otherwise you'll have a sizzled Wig and you'll be very upset alrighty, so I am pretty happy with the way that is sitting after just going over it with a straightener just to get rid of any of the kinks and make sure it's sitting right. How I like it and my god, I'm loving this wig and blow davon Dida and die alrighty so now that our wig is sitting nicely in place, how we want it to. We are now going to fine-tune and I'll blend our wig just to make it look. A lot more real, so here we go also, if you guys take anything away from this video today, I would highly recommend you definitely go and get yourself one of these headbands that I'm wearing, because, as you can see, I'm moving my wig quite hard there and It is not sliding at all. This headband thing has actually been a game changer for me, I'm obsessed with it. It just completely will stop your wig from sliding, so you go to Yellin so just to give my wig a more natural looking hair line, I'm just going to grab some of my natural hair from underneath the wig and just pull out some little hairs there. Now the next thing I'm going to do is I'm going to start concealing some of that lace, because it is quite visible, as you can see, and what I'm going to use for that is the mascara. Now you can use eyeshadow for this as well. I just prefer with my darker wigs to use mascara because the mascara actually dries, whereas sometimes the eyeshadow gets a little bit on my fingers, which annoys me, but you can by all means use eyeshadow as well, and if you have a lighter colored wig, then you'll Generally need to use a bit of eyeshadow to conceal that lace, and I'm also going to add some of that mascara to my natural hair around the edges. Just to blacken it up to match my wig about a little bit more and if you're paranoid like maybe a week, it's still going to come off or you don't have the headband, then I would recommend that you just grab some bobby pins and just a pin. Your wig either side of your head because you never know when you're going to get trapped up in a cyclone okay, so I'm just clipping that down either side of my face and then finally, you want to go in with summit concealer just for the part one Here and we're just going to add, like a stripe of concealer there, just to make that part line that look a little bit more natural. So I'm just going in with my NARS creamy concealer in custard and I'm using my Anastasia Beverly Hills at 22. Brow brush and I'm just getting a little bit of concealer on that brush and I'm just saying that straight line and that's it you're all blended. All done now: you're ready to go out and trick your friends and make them think that you got your hair. This color in one go but up up that I love net, so just for fun, I'm going to show you guys the blonde wig that powder MD also sent me, which is the flirt lace. Font synthetic wig insert previous steps up until this point here. So this is the blonde Fleur synthetic lace, front wig and I'm actually feeling like a completely different person right now, I'm not used to myself with hair this short and I'm also not used to myself with this color hair. So I'm like well, where did Nadia go? You'Re there feeling a little bit like a modern-day Marilyn Monroe in this week and because the roots on these are actually quite a lot lighter than my natural hair they're, like a more caramel brown color and my as dark dark brown, I brought the wig all the Way forward and then I've just let out some of my baby hairs, which I can get away with, but I wouldn't let out any more hand and that if you have really dark hair because it's going to look too toned, it's like double Rica's. I haven't actually sprayed this with a dry shampoo yet and, as you can see, it's really not that shiny, like I said before, the blond ones, don't really tend to come at too shiny, which is really really good, because this looks like real hair to me. Okay, I think I'm getting used to myself a little bit more with this hair. First, I was like well yeah, I'm kind of kind of digging it sterling to grow on me feeling a little bit like a Hollywood bombshell, if I do say so myself, so just another final tip as well. If the roots of the wig are a different color to your hair roots, then I would wear the wig all the way forward and then, if you can, if the wig color allows it, you can let out some baby hairs just to make it look a little Bit more real or you can just wear it all the way forward and then just blend out the part line as we did before, and that's it guys.
