I Love My Headband Wig!! No Lace, Glue, Or Gel | Protective Style | Lavishedhaircollection

Hi guys welcome back to my channel. It is dd with dd at home and i'm here with a new video. I know it has been a very long time, but i'm back and i'm going to be talking about a new wig that i purchased um from a company. I will put their information in the description box, but i finally hopped onto the bandwagon of the headband wigs that i saw just everywhere, and you know that was right up my alley, because i love anything that is going to be quick and easy. And so i definitely wanted to make a video about it just to let you guys know um just my thoughts on it, so i'm not going to spend too much time talking about it, but this is the wig. It is so pretty it's a kinky curly um headband wig, so it has the bands on it like this, and then it has the velcro part on the end and the inside of the wig. It has some combs here. So you have one comb here. One comb here there's one on the side here and then there's one here, so it will check, but you have a total of four clips in here, and so you can see how the inside is constructed. Just like that, and like i said you guys, this wig is very very pretty. It is kinky, curly and i'll, insert some clips in here of what i'll insert some clips into into this video of what it looked like when i first purchased it, and also what the hair looks like this hair that you're looking at right now, i've actually went Ahead and co-washed it - and i also put in some a gel in it as well, so it is not completely, you know no product in it. I did co-wash it and then i put gel in it and some loose in it as well. So that's what i put in this hair and i will put the type of mousse that i used and also the gel. It'S not anything special, it's just regular things. If you have any questions, let me know in the comment box, but um. This hair was 18 inches, like i said it's kinky curly, and then it is also 180 density. Now i thought i wanted some hair. That was, you know, very dense, but i don't think that i quite wanted the 180 density, because it is a lot of hair. I'Ve already cut probably about one to two inches off, because i just didn't want it to be that long. Once i saw how much hair it was - and i still think i want to cut it a little bit so we'll probably cut it in this video after i get through the whole um actual review. So right now i just have a cap on my head and then i have my edges gel um down. I used um just some type of basic edge control. Not anything fancy is not my favorite, it's just what i have right now um, so i won't necessarily recommend it, but if you have any suggestions of natural hair, any edge controls that you think i should try leave a comment in the comment box and i will Check it out, but i'm going to go ahead and put it on i'm going to use the clips, but i'm only going to use the clips, probably um in the back and on the side. I don't really think i need to use it on the top, but we'll see so i'm going to go ahead and pop this sucker on okay and i'm gon na put the two clips on the side here and then i'm gon na take the two velcro straps And i'm gon na strap those behind my or underneath this isn't my first time wearing this wig i've actually worn it for about a week now, um. What i will say about this is make sure that you don't velcro it in the back too tight, because it can give you a headache. Your first um thought is to let me make sure that it's tight, but it doesn't have to be that tight. You guys. It'S going to stay and it's not going to move, so i'm just going to push that back, and so, of course, this is what it looks like and, as you can see, it is very dense. It'S thick. It is a lot of hair and again, like i said, keep in mind. I did actually cut this, so i think when i first um had it. It probably came down to probably like right here so, like i said i could have been about two inches off and this is what it looks like in the back i've gotten. So many compliments on this hair. I actually went to work with this on and someone in one of the schools that i worked at really thought. This was my hair. She was like. Oh, i love your hair and i was like that man. This is my hair. I don't care about telling people this is in my hair, like there's, no shame in my game, i'm not walking around. You know letting people think otherwise, but it did make me feel good that she thought this. This was my hair. That means it looks natural. I wish my hair looked like this in real life, but you guys know i am part of the fine hair community and we're still learning to love our hair um. But, like i said, i love this. Look. No. So, every couple days, i'll just sprit spritz this hair down with water and then i will put either some mousse in it or i'll put more gel in it. It just depends on what i feel like it needs. I really just do. There'S no science to what i do. I just do whatever, but i really like it and, as you guys can see right now, i don't have anything else like i don't have a headband over it. This is just what um is attached to the wig itself. Let me know in the comments what you guys think that i should do. Okay, because i really think that i want to like layer it like in the front of my face. I'M nervous, i don't know if i should just leave it alone. Okay, let me know, but with this wig it came with two headbands two headbands of which i'm probably not gon na wear. To be honest, because i just i don't see myself wearing it, but this is the first one. This is just like more of a summer, um headband, it screams vacation. To be honest honestly, so i probably wouldn't wear it this other one is vacation as well. Nothing wrong with them. I just i mean probably just won't, wear them right now, but they're both cute. They are both cute headbands. This is what they look like in the back, but i like them. So what i'm going to do now is: oh before i start styling the hair. Let me go ahead and mention the hair itself. Like i said it looks very natural. It'S the kinky curly style. It'S very easy to maintain when you think about curly hair. You think there is maintenance, there is maintenance, but it's not a it's, not something that you can't do you know. So when i co-wash it it doesn't get super tangled when i'm just trying to do something quick in the morning before work. I don't have a lot of issues with it because it doesn't get really tangled up when i purchased the hair. There wasn't any weird smell to it or anything like that. Before i wore it, i did co-wash it and, like i said, i will insert some video clips of me actually um kind of going in and showing you what the hair looked like when it was wet, but this hair is completely dry. I actually co-washed this um. Yesterday and so it i just let it air dry overnight, and this is what it looks like now, um, like i said, and so you may be able to get a better look here on the side, so normally, this is how i wear the hair i purchased. These headbands and they come in a lot of different colors. I just purchased them from amazon. This is what it looks like in the back. I will put the these actual headbands that i purchased off amazon in the description box, so if you're interested check it out, but they are very good quality um, you know i have been wearing it like. I said consistently and i haven't had any issues, so i guess that's good, but i'm gon na go ahead and put this on all right. So this is what the black headband looks like and honestly it doesn't look much different honestly with having nothing on your head. Anyway, but um, it goes with everything, so i typically do wear this black one, the most and then some other things that i may end up doing with my hair is, i may just put on a hair tie like this, and i may just kind of wear It like this and almost like a it's, not even really a low ponytail. It'S honestly just to contain the hair because, like i said the first couple times that i did wear the hair, i didn't put any gel in it. I just put mousse in it, and so it got really big. Just like natural hair will do, and so i just kind of did this and it was out of the way - and it was easy for me to get to work, and i didn't have any issues. Another thing you could do is just kind of make it tighter, so you can make it even tighter than it was, and now it just kind of looks like a low ponytail right, so they just looks like a low ponytail and that works as well. It'S super easy um. You know natural hair girls once you've worn that hair and it starts to get big and you're over it and you just kind of want to put it in a ponytail. That'S perfect to do with this hair too. Another thing that you could do is wear a scarf with it, and then you can tuck that in like this. So that's super cute and the thing that i do like about um doing the scarf method is just because you can see like the little black of the um, the the spandex part or whatever it's called the strap. But it doesn't look bad because you have the scarf on top of it. So i also think this is a really cute way to wear the hair and then the other thing you could do with it is, if you wanted to do like a so another style that you can do is just kind of like a half up, half down Style and you can still wear your um wear your scarf on your hair or you can use this and still put one of the headbands on like that, and it doesn't look bad in the back either because you can't see anything so that works as well. Just kind of like a fun like young little flirty look. I haven't worn my hair like this, but that is a option right, so this works as well just kind of put some of the hair off to the side. It still looks well you're, not seeing anything on the side. You can put a pin in it to make sure it stays over, but i also think this is super cute. If you wanted to wear the hair like this - and i probably will wear it like this as well - because i really like this and then the other style that i've seen many people do is just kind of put all of it up in a ponytail. So this is the final style that i'm going to show you guys. It'S super easy, of course, um. The easiest thing to do ever style is just to throw it up in a bun like i said, this is a hundred and eighty percent density. So this is a lot of hair, so just be mindful that if you try and put this amount of hair up in a bun, you're gon na need a couple. Hair ties to make sure it stays. I just kind of quickly threw it up here, but i mean you can make it like a lot smaller, but - and i didn't really even do anything to this - i just kind of threw it up and then wrapped it around so you'll see that i didn't do Anything special, but this this is another style that you can do. I haven't worn it like this before, just because um i just haven't, but i'll show you in the back what that looks like, so you see what the bun looks like you guys. This is very, very versatile. All right you guys, so you can see just with all of that manipulation that i have been doing with the hair, how big it can get. It is a lot of hair like i said it is a lot of hair. I put gel in it and still just the fact that i was messing around with it now it is much bigger than it was before. So my original question, like i said, let me know if i should cut it, i'm just so undecided. I don't want to mess it up, but i do think it needs something because it's just so much hair but, like i said my name is didi, please consider subscribing to my channel on this channel. It'S completely uh human hair is not synthetic, so you know you are going to pay a bit more for that type of hair, but it was definitely something i wanted to try. So i went ahead and spent the money for it. I'M glad that i did because i honestly feel like you can have this hair, this particular wig. If you take care of it, you can have this for a long time and, like i said the whole plus and benefit of having this, you don't have to worry about. Gluing a you know, wig down, you don't have to worry about. Oh, are you going to be able to see the lace you don't have to worry about bleaching any knots or anything like that? It'S just very, very easy to wear. You know if you want something that is easy and you don't have to have a lot of things that you have to worry about. Then a headband wig is definitely something that you want to um look forward to and look investing in. Like i said, you will see me wearing this a lot here on my channel. I do have another hair tutorial video that will be coming up pretty soon as well. You guys know i kind of go back and forth with wearing wigs and then having braids and that's just what works for me again because i said i have fine hair and i don't like to do a lot to it.
