Review: Wigmy Kinky Curly (Human Hair) - 20 Inch

Hi guys welcome to my channel welcome back for people who have been with me from the jump. I know i've been missing for a while, but i'm here now that's all that matters. So from the title you can see that i got my first headband wig. I'M really excited to try it. I have been thinking about cutting my hair for the longest time. Um i've had my hair. Well, sorry, i've had my hair locked yes july is going to be 14 years. I'Ve had lots. I'Ve cut my hair about three to four times in between there. My first big chop so to speak was in 2017 and i cut it to about you know just below my collarbone and then i've kind of been trimming it here and there, because the lamp gets very overwhelming. Sometimes so. I'M kind of playing around with two ideas and that's one to cut my hair and then use a headband wig. You know to transition um and then i also want to try to see if my hair can fit under the headband wig. My hair is in a ponytail no, but it's about, i want to say, on average, about two feet long so like around 24 to 26 inches um. So let's see what this looks like i got. I actually made a mistake. I thought i ordered 24 inch, but this is actually a 20 inch wig. So we'll see we will see how this how this pan go. So i know it looks. It looks fairly thin like how is this going to fit over your locks, but from the videos that i've been seeing online? You know once you add some water and you add some product, it helps with the volume of the hair. So i'm hoping that's the case for me the well. Let me show you the accessories, because i was not expecting all of this so like it came with the oh. This is not oh nice. This is a really thick headband, so it came with this nice. Leopard print headband and then oh, it came with a wig cap. How convenient these sell really cheap in the hair store too, though, and then it comes with. Oh, you have a chance to win a free, wig, okay and then lashes. Oh, my god, do they know me? Oh so this is. The wig has a slight smell to it and with anything that i buy, i'm gon na wash this first um, but it comes with um like almost like a spandex material. I would say it comes with the combs, i'm so excited, and then you you clip it. Oh it's velcro, so you have velcro at the back to secure it. So what i'm gon na do first, things first is: i am going to wash it and apply some leave-in conditioner to make sure the hair is soft and supple after i dry rest and then i'm gon na update you, okay, so i whipped out my mannequin head That i usually use for the raster barbie page um, to advertise my headbands and in case you are wondering it's just the standard white styrofoam head that i painted gold and i added some eyeliner and some lashes to it. So i just secured it with some paint - and i am proceeding to saturate here with leave-in conditioner, a lot of body. I'Ve seen quite a few videos recommend this when i went to the here store looking for something cheap, basically uh. This was recommended as well, because, let me tell you there were some leave-in conditioners and you hear store that were like over 40 and no ma'am. Not me not this diy budget, diva and plus i'm just playing around you know what i mean is my first wig, i'm just trying out a few things. The hair brush also funny hair store. I believe that was eight dollars. A lot of body was 13 cheap and sweet um, and i'm trying my best to keep the head steady. I actually had a container behind the head to keep it steady. It was not working so eventually, i ended up just putting the head between my legs and kind of brushing it as if i was you know, doing someone else's hair um. It was still not as thick as i would have wanted, but i was happy with the results so far um, but what i found and what i'm going to show you shortly is that the drier it becomes the thicker it becomes so just wait for it. Okay, so now you get a side-by-side comparison on two different looks and this side i would have just used a lot of body, as you saw combed it through and let it dry so the more it dried, the more body it got. Poofy afro almost afro because it is a kinky curly still and a very natural look. This looks very, very natural to me, then, on this side, no, i would have used a curl defining cream. I use africa's best shea butter, curls um. You can get this on your hair store. Even massey sells this one, and this is kind of giving me like a wet, quote-unquote wet look without looking like a jerry curl. So, depending what look you're going for you know, you can make your choice. Um, i'm definitely leaning towards this one for the most part, because i feel this can get real crazy, real, quick. You know when the entire head is like that, i'm just going to turn it around quickly. So from the side you see what i mean so this to me, this amount, a volume, isn't an everyday look. Let me switch this one, and this one is a bit more. My personal everyday look, but both of them are very happy with um and yeah. So you can, let me know what you guys think, which one is your favorite, so the short version is that it does not fit over my locks, i'm going to show you the trick shortly, but i tried braiding them down and even bringing unknown the wig cap Did not fit over my lots. All of the volume was like towards the bottom of my head and as voluminous as this is it just was not fitting on. I also tried the long knots i did over the course of weeks and i'm giving you the final update. No, so that also didn't work again. I have there's just so much volume in this back part that it was not fitting. So i'm just only doing this for demonstration purposes. I was just gon na see how it looks. I literally just plonked it on there. I haven't done my edges or anything um, so the trick. How would they know so? That'S where my hair is literally, like i say i'm just doing this for the video. So again we have the curl defining cream here and then this is the body um only styling, so both of them look really nice. You get slightly more length with it again. It'S a 20 inch. I did want 24 and it was a mistake on my part in terms of ordering um, but it can still work. It can still work um, so stay tuned on. If these locks are stained are going.
