How To Turn Any Wig Into A Headband Wig For People With Alopecia Or Hair Loss

Hey guys, okay, so i'm doing the headband video for people who have alopecia and are bald by choice or medical or whatever okay, so i had to re-record this because i didn't like the way this was going um. Just let me just snatch this off her. You know she is bald all right, so this has an elastic band on it um. This is an old wig. This is some milky way blend hair. I got it for like 20 bucks, um or 27. I don't remember. This is actually some really good synthetic hair. I'M gon na tell you that right now this is synthetic, it is synthetic you could put heat to it. I blow dried it earlier to get rid of some of any kinks everything, because i've had this for like four years anyways. So originally i did it with this: the velcro wig holder thingy all right, so you could do it with both, but i just want to do with elastic bands for some who don't have this or they don't like it. So there's elastic band sewn in here, but i did sew it to the bottom as well, because i wanted to be snug because granted this wig, this canvas she's almost 20 inches for circumference, but this wig is still too big for her. So i had to make it as tight as possible, so for those who are, you know, have no hair most of the time your wigs do fit if they don't you're going to have some gapping when you sew it like this, you see how it's open right Here, um and then elastic band on the bottom. I didn't knot it, so it's starting to get loose. Um it'll be open. You can stitch this all the way around, so it's snug just make sure that it's not too tight. It'S too tight for this. Damn thing. Um on her, like do not, ladies and gentlemen, this damn fan is really playing with my thing behind me. Okay, so this wig is, when i say tight, ladies and gentlemen, she's tight, you want it to be snug and fit. That'S from the foundation. Listen like. I said this wig is like four years old pay no mind today. I had to go through all my wigs to find a wig that was the smallest and even without the elastic band, this fit pretty well so, but um, you know, put your wig on make sure that she is snug not to wear like. I said you don't want to hurt um. This wig is kind of old, so she's kind of bulky in the front um like i was saying about the um. As you can see, this is big, so i'm just pulling it down i'm using french pens. This is old, um use the small ones. You can get it off amazon, the tiny ones you want it to still be comfortable. You don't want this to like bother your head. You don't use the big ones, so definitely wear a stocking cap. Still, oh god hold on guys so yeah. That'S my house phone! Listen! I still got a house phone anyways same thing on this side. I'M tucking it under the elastic band, so i'm pulling it down and this damn foundation. I don't know why it's in my way, so i'm just gon na put it right here: okay, commercial car, make sure she's all back. You wan na make sure your legs brush. All the way back because remember you're putting a headband on okay, um, okay, make sure it's comfortable um. These headbands, like i said i got them off amazon. I would definitely put the same link down for them. They were like fourteen dollars for like a pack of six okay, someone put this on. Obviously, listen, it's all the personal preference, but now i do want to say if you want to make sure like your side, burns are like see. You know she's bald right here. She has no hair, you can make sure like some of the um, the hairline from the frontal or track whatever is down. You can cut a real small, small piece or just pull down a piece. Listen it's up to personal preference, but this side is bulky and listen like i said, bear with me because it's not a human. This is a mannequin, so this is the best way. I can do this. You know because i have hair and there's no way. I can do this, giving you guys what you want so bear with me. Okay, now, when it comes to the ponytail, because there's really no pins or anything, you want to make sure that you either turn your head down when you put it up. Like turn your head down, try to brush it as possible. You know you want to make sure that the back is as down as possible and covering what it needs to cover. Okay, you can brush it like. Okay, like your head, is down like this and just brush it up. You just want to make sure that your wig is not going anywhere, so you want to make sure that you are that's your way. This is tangled, like you, want, make sure it's detangled like make sure your wig is completely detangling, don't put a wig that needs some work. Okay. Now i mean you can have it like this and then do a low ponytail, but i don't know when i was playing with it earlier. I felt like the wig was sliding a little bit. It could have just been me now like i said this is mostly wefted, so you want to make sure, let's, even if it's a closure, wig or you know a store-bought wig whatever it is, that you're doing this with um that nothing's showing granted i'm gon na Fix the headband once this is done, but i just want to make sure that everything i'm doing is uncovered. Oh, no, i don't have a hair tie where's the hair tie. I have right here, i'm taking one out my head, but okay grant's hit okay. Now, if you don't have no hair you're not going to have like buzz lines like that, and if you do, you know you can always pull the wig down, pull the wig down like pull some of the hair. You know you want to cover it. I don't even if it exposed a little bit or just pull your headband down, but that's it like this. Wig is still holding on. You know um she's still holding on very well, and that's it that's legit. It'S still holding on granted like i said she has. No hair there's nothing on here for her um. Now. What we will do is i'm not gon na probably show this one, because i don't really like this one. I feel like it slides off it slides off this plastic. So that was my other reason why i had to find something else. All right now. We'Re gon na take this down. We'Re gon na do some other stuff. Okay, so i took out too much, but because i wanted to cover that now some people do cut side burns into their wigs uh. If you have that by all means, go for it. If you don't - and you don't like it, if you just want a smidge of just something, you can just pull some hairs down. I'M just trying to give you another option. I mean you don't have to like this. I'M just trying to you know find something else. You know so you don't have to always just you don't have a headband and hair in the back. You know you can have some of your closure. Your frontal lace, hairline exposed. Yes, it may not be yours, but you can still have it exposed to give you the illusion. You know what i'm saying, so it's just playing with it. It'S really not that hard. Yes, i'm saying like i've, never done it, but you know, and if you wanted to pull her up i mean you: can you can leave those pieces down if you want to so i mean you can pull her up, half up half down. You know it's up to your own, just make sure that you know you have no track showing or anything like that or any pins showing a little pin right here. But you guys get what i'm saying. You know what i'm saying. I'M just trying to give you another idea of something of you know how to do your wig without you know, feeling too insecure, um and definitely take these clips out, because i didn't take this one out and it would be a lot better if this was human Hair, the wig i wanted to do is just not. She too, her head is too small for it, but um. That'S it. I'M gon na just end this now, but i hope you know you guys get an idea of what i'm trying to say and that it's useful for you that you know granted if you do have alopecia or any hair loss that you're still able to have the Illusion of a headband wig, with hairline with your wig, you know what i'm saying: um you just have to. You know figure it a little bit um you don't have to have the whole hairline like i said you can just do a little bit of the top to give the illusion. You just want to make sure that the hair is flat. So when you do it, you want to comb, it down, definitely make sure you comb it down down and back and put a clip, so it does stay smooth and then you put your headband on. You can always go under and this adjust it, and if you want to pull some hair down some of the hairs down in the front, you can and that's it like it's pretty simple. I know i feel like this. Video took longer, but listen like i said, bear with me, bear with me. You know, so i just want to show you this. This is what it looks like from the back. Okay. This is what it looks like up front. Okay, what you think, like she's bald, you know she doesn't have any hair. I think this looks cute. This is just something real, quick and to work with. You know what you think you let me know um. I wanted to keep it real, real, simple, real, easy and it's really easy um and then that's it. Look at this take the headband off and then you just brush your wig and go about your business. You know what i'm saying and, like i said, it's real easy. It'S just an elastic band. That'S on this wig! You just want to make sure that your wig is snug. You know saying you want to make sure that it's really really snug not to where it hurts, but to where it's comfortable to wear to wear. Also, if you do pull her up, she's, not you know sliding off either. If you're not trying to pull it up, then you only got pull up. You stole the headband on and go about your business all right, okay, guys! That'S it! For now!
