Revive Your Synthetic Wig In 30 Min ! No Boiling Water

Hey loves: it's your girl, shea and welcome back to the channel. So, as y'all can see by the title, we are back again with another video you guys we are doing a synthetic wig revamp. I am actually utilizing this wig from my wig and saw that i did if you want to see that head over to the channel. This is the outre, perfect, hairline and laurel you guys and of course, after two weeks of using a synthetic wig, it gets a little nappy. It gets a little matted at the end, so we are here to try to smooth them back out and make it look. Beautiful again, this is a quick fix. You guys i have somewhere to be in 30 minutes. I could not do the boiling method, so i highly recommend this for people who need to do something and you ain't got time to have it wet and have it dry. These lid last for about three days, i do recommend the boiling method because it does last longer, but i am going to explain throughout this video ways that you can get these curls to last even longer than what they did here now for me. I had to think about like what is a good way to get this back smooth and get this back straight, but of course, hot comb and flat ironing have never failed us. You guys, if you take a quick look at like your synthetic wig. If you've got a nappy's, wig somewhere and a closet, whatever pull it out, real, quick, okay, we're gon na talk. If you look at those synthetic fibers, the fibers actually are just crinkly and they're. Just curly, and all you really need to do is just smoothen them back out and then curl it or style it to whatever the desired style is i went in with my hot comb just because personally for me, i just felt like that would be easier to Utilize i just felt like it would just be faster. You can easily use a flat iron because if you look at the technique that i'm using i'm using that flat ironing technique that they do kind of for blowouts, where you take the rat tail comb. And then you take whatever device you're using and just go down smoothly over the hair until you get it silky and smooth as you possibly want it to be. If you look at the hair right now, you see how nappy and how just just crinkly and just not how we want it to be now. I know you're, probably thinking okay, you know the if the wig is curly, if you have a curly wig and you go in there, you straighten it. How are we supposed to get the curls back now? Typically, people use the boiling method where you curl it. You dunk it and obviously you leave it there for like 30 minutes, and it does that we're pretty much gon na do the same exact technique, except without water. Now, as far as how many times i went over this hair with this hot comb, i didn't have a specific amount of time y'all. I just knew whatever texture i wanted. I just know how silky i wanted it to feel. You know how good i wanted it to be, and i just did it as many times until i got that feel of course disclaimer y'all. This is synthetic hair. Okay, synthetic hair is plastic. We are not using the highest setting on the hot comb or the flat iron to do this. No, it is not gon na it's gon na go faster, but then all of a sudden, you're gon na get this burning smell and you're gon na look down and you're gon na have plastic on your don't do it don't do what y'all? I know some people out there and don't do it. I use the number one setting on my hot combs, so the first dot or whatever your hot comb does or. However it is, i use the first one on your flat iron. Do the same exact thing use the lowest setting and it worked perfectly fine. I might have had to go over about 9 to 10 times, but at the same time it didn't take me any time because i didn't utilize the whole entire wig like i didn't, need to go over my whole entire wig. You know, typically, the nappiest part of your head or your wig, or your hair period is going to be like the nape of the neck. All that hair, that's in the back, because it rubs against the seats rubs against your clothes. So that's basically the section that i did now for me to kind of avoid going over this hair and the possibility of burning. What i did is that, of course, the upper half of the hair is going to soak in and smooth it out faster than the other ones, just because that hair hasn't really touched anything so any hair that was silky and how i wanted it to be. I didn't go over it, i just went ahead and got the rest of it, but i just went ahead and twisted it up after i got it straightened right here. I'M taking those twists out and combing the hair out and, as you can see, it is combing smoothly. It is combing beautifully. Now, let's get into the curls y'all, like i said before, we are pretty much doing the same exact technique that you do with boiling water. You know how you go in there and you put perm rods in you put whatever type of rollers you want, depending on the hairstyle and how curly or how straight or whatever it is. For me, this wig to me is kind of like a body wave or a loose wave, so it isn't super super curly, but at the same time it isn't straight. So i went in with my orange flexi rods to kind of imitate the same exact curl that it has now, as you can see, i'm going in with my hot comb over the flexi rod to kind of melt and mold that hair to the shape of it. Again, we are on setting number one y'all. Please do not put that too high. Okay, don't do it! We'Re gon na burn the hair. We ain't trying to burn the hair, but i just go in on the rest of the hair and i'm just rolling it up. You guys you wanna try to do this as neat as possible. I'M not gon na lie. Okay, it was a little hard because the hair was straight and it was just not you know, curling how i wanted it to do, but it turned out really good. I tried to do it as good as possible, i'm just wrapping it first, wrapping that end around, as you can see as much as i possibly can, then, when i wrap that end around, i just take that hair right there. That'S on the right hand, and i roll that hair over that hair - that i just curled just so it's secure and then you just go all the way up all the way up. As far as you feel that you need it to go, and i didn't want to go all the way up because, like i said it is a loose wave and it doesn't really curly up there to begin with - i secure it and then i just do the Rest of this, i think for me, i use a total of about eight. I think, maybe not even that many flexi rods, because i did pretty hefty sections because i did not want it to be too curly. The front of the head is not that curly, so it would be really crazy if, like the back of the head, was super curly and then it just wouldn't match i'm just taking this hot comb and i'm going over all of these different flexi rods. Just to try to get them to mold into that. You know curler section now this did kind of do what i wanted it to do. I was trying to penetrate it as much as i possibly can, but i did eventually go ahead and decide to turn the hot comb up to the highest setting just for the one pad. I did not do it for an extended amount of time. I just went ahead and did one pass over the flexi rods on that higher setting, just because i did not want to burn it. I really was too scared, as you can see right here, i am just putting it all the way up. Mine goes all the way up to four. So that's what i did for it went over and just rubbed as much as possible, just to try to penetrate them as much as possible and get that heat on the other side, because of course the outside of it is. But if you don't penetrate all the way in you're to have like this half curly, half straight kind of look and you just - we don't want that. Okay and then i just let those sit in the head for probably about 30 minutes, um, maybe 30 to 40 minutes. While i was taking a shower just to kind of get that you know as curly as possible. Of course, the longer it sits, the curlier it will be and right here, as you can see, i'm going in with the hot comb and we're just going ahead and flattening that top section of the head. Where the part is this right here baby, let me tell you something: this is how you get that lay melted and slayed look y'all, be seeing all the instagram models when a hair is laid, it looks like scalp and it's just. Let me tell you this is what does it and i i promise y'all i've, seen videos and i'm just like. Oh that's the key, that's the secret flatten, the top of your wigs, like when i say so many times that i looked and i'm like dang. I have like this little weird awkward bump, just right there at the top right next to the part like get it y'all just get that hot comb or get that flat iron or please i'll, be seeing people use irons that you're supposed to iron, your clothes with, But listen you got to do what you got to do. Okay now, i actually did go in with my um blow dryer for a little bit just because i wanted to make sure these curls were as curly as possible. Like i said, this was a quick job. This probably only took me 30 minutes to do aside from like the wait time while i was showering and stuff, but i wanted to go in and make sure that it was just as secure as possible. So i went in on high heat high speed. All of that, with my blow dryer - and this actually, i think, put out more heat than the hot comb did honestly. If i would have left it with the hot comb. I don't think that this would have curled the way that i got it to curl. But after i went in there with that heat, i went and took a shower and 30 minutes later. I came and took these out and i know y'all probably looking at this like girl. That'S not curly, like oh, my god, girl. That does not look good but white on it. Y'All wait on it. Wait till i take this comb through this head and y'all see how them curls look again. My wig was not a super curly wig. I didn't have a really big one. It was like kind of like loose wave more than it was honestly body waves, so the curls that i did were so perfect. They fit so perfectly with the front of the wig and how the wig was. It just was the kind of perfect curls honestly, and here you go as you can see, everything is silky, smooth and soft, i'm going in with a wide tube comb just to curl these out. The one thing i love about synthetic wigs compared to like, like real human hair wigs, is that once you kind of mold that synthetic hair, it really does not move honestly, which is why i was kind of surprised that the hair moved over the past three days. But again it was not as much heat as like. The boiler method is, but this is what they look like combed out. Honestly, it was so pretty it looked so perfect because it blended in so well. I could have probably taken those flexi rods up a little bit higher in the back, but y'all. It really turned out so well and i'm about to show y'all in a second how it looked on. It was just so perfect. It lasted again about three days. This is a really quick fix if you got somewhere to be again and you cannot dip it in water, you can't wait on it to dry. I highly highly highly recommend doing this. I will be making a video soon of me doing the boiling method, but look at that y'all. Look at me.
