Hello, everyone thank you for tuning in to my channel, so I am here with a highly anticipated video. A highly requested video. So many of my love's have asked me questions about my big chop: hair lace, front wig. I featured it in a lot of the videos that I've been producing and also, if you follow me on social media, then you've seen it because I've been wearing it for about three weeks now and I wanted to really kind of like figure it out before I Made a video because you guys saw me with esteana. I really wasn't sure what I was doing with her and honestly, I'm not even worn kostina. Yet I still have the lace on it. I'Ve not worn it at all, but I will. I definitely will, and when I do, I will definitely film a video sharing with you all what she looks like when I'm wearing it for real and not for that for pretend, and then you all saw me wear the big chop, hair u-part wig and I really Really liked that u-part wig, I actually did film a video of me figuring out what to do with the u-part wig, but I'm not in love with the footage. So I'm not exactly sure. If I want to put the footage out you can. Let me know. Let me know if you want to see that footage. It'S not that the it didn't come out right because you all did see me wearing it in you know subsequent videos and also on pictures on social media. It'S just the footage of lighting the angles. All of that, I'm not really in love with it. I wish I had a production team. Sometimes you know how that is you film something and you only get one shot at it when you're doing things on your own for the most part. But let me know if you still want to see how that came about because I'm not really wearing it anymore, but that's something you all want to see. Let me know and then now I've been rocking this lace front wig and I am in love with it. I'M so in love with this. This is also from big chopped hair and I've been supporting big chopped hair a lot lately because the owner of the company she's a black woman. I love to support small black businesses and I love to support women, so I've been wearing the wig and I just love that the wig is is conforming. You know when I first first first /, first put it on the curls were so fresh, so it was like super loose curls. It didn't really look like my curl pattern or my texture of hair at all, and now it's weeks old and I've not like watched it or retwisting it or anything. So it has more of like afro e frizzy look, which definitely looks closer to my texture than it did before. I also love the link. You know my hair. Naturally isn't this full doesn't have this much body and my hair? Obviously isn't this long. So I love the versatility. I love the new look because I look different. It gives me a different hair texture, a lot looser than what my hair texture is and, of course I do still love my texture. That'S not gon na change, but it is good to switch it up a little bit and for me I've not really switched up my style a lot in the past six years. Look, I kind of keep it simple and true to what I love, but I'm really in need of a break, as I told you all before, I need a break. I just want to have some time where I'm not really taking care of my hair, so I can just give myself the opportunity to have more time to do a lot of things that I need to do. So all this long conversation sorry to bore you with the ramble, but I did want to share with you all how I prepped my hair, underneath in order to put on this wig how I prepped the wig, what things I do and so on. So I'm gon na take you through my wash routine. So you can see what I'm using what I've been using since I've been wearing the wig. The products that I use to shampoo conditions, deep condition and then I'll show you what products I'm using the moisturize you'll get to see my braids. So you can see how I style my hair underneath and, like I said what I do to prep the way and if you know for the most part, if anything ever changes, I can always, I guess, do an update, but for right now. This is what I'm doing and it's been working for me. It'S only been about three weeks and if I'm not a Wiggy, I'm not a wig ologist. I don't know a lot. So I'm learning as I go. So if you have suggestions and definitely offer any tips, advice suggestions that you have and it's at the end of this video you have questions. I want to be able to do some sort of like FAQ. So definitely ask me your questions in the comment section that way I can come back and do an FAQ to answer the questions that you didn't get answered in the video or if there was something that came up, that you're wondering what I do. How do I manage that or whatever you can ask me, those and then I'll do a wig FAQ enjoy the video, so I'm using the Carol's Daughter, monoi, repairing sulfate, free shampoo. I decided to use this collection because it is clinically proven to reduce breakage and I've had this collection of products that were sent to me by Carol's Daughter, for maybe six months to almost a year and I've never used them. And then I figured because wearing wigs and other types of protective styles often lead to lots of breakage. It would be a good idea to use it, I'm also using the conditioner, which is from the monoi collection. Once again, it is clinically proven to reduce breakage and after using them two times already. I really do like them. I think that the collection is really good. The hair mask that you see here from the monoi collection is a favorite. My hair felt so soft and it feels so moisturize. It has really good slip. I do leave it in for about ten minutes and then I bathe myself while it's in and then I detangle with it and after using it. Like I said twice, I feel that the whole clinically proven to reduce breakage thing might be a fact, because when I compare my shed hair from what it is like after a detangling session to what it has been like since using the Carol's Daughter, monoi products, it Is very dramatic of the difference how much less shed hair I have so after I shampoo. I then we'll go into moisturizing and styling. I don't let my hair really air dry, because it doesn't really make sense. I'M going to section my hair off just starting on the left and then I'm going to moisturize it I'm using the Carol's Daughter, monoi anti-breakage spray, just because once again, clinically proven to reduce breakage and I'm really looking forward to keeping my hair healthy. While I am wearing this wig, I do not want my edges, snatched and my hair to be broken and drive following the spray I'm using the Carol's Daughter, Lisa's, hair elixir. This oil has actually been a favorite of mine. I only have a little bit left. I'Ve been using it for a while, and I love how it just takes care of my scalp and then for my moisturizer, I'm using my Holy Grail, Shea Moisture, curl, enhancing smoothie and I use a lot of it per section. I'M putting an ample amount on each section and then I just comb to evenly distribute it. I'Ve decided to put my hair and flat twist underneath my wig verses cornrows, the very first time I did put it in cornrows and for that week I felt like my scalp was really irritated something about how cornrows tightly on the scalp versus how flat twists are. They'Re a little bit looser they're. Not so I don't know, I really can't describe it, but the second week that I did it. I did flat twists and I really liked it, so I decided to do them again and I prefer the way that my scalp feels with my hair and flat twists under the wig versus the cornrows, but feel free to do whatever works for you. If you're concerned about bulk and how bulky your hair looks like under the wig, then cornrows definitely will give you a less bulky look, but personally, because this wig is already so voluminous. You don't really have to worry about that. So I end off with 6 flat twists and I don't know if this is actually gon na help me. But what I'm doing here is putting more of the curl enhancing smoothie on my edges, because we know that wearing wigs snatches your edges out - and so I figure, if I do so extra conditioning on the edges where the wig is going to lay. Then I'm going to help prevent my edges being snatched and broken now. Here I am putting on a wig cap and you do not need to wear a wig cap with this wig, because this wig has clip ins. So you can see, the lace is already cut and here is a clipping to use a clip in you just pop it up and then the clip ins come undone and then you snap it back into place when you have it secured on your hair, and you Can wear this wig as a clip and wig, and it has three different clip pins along with an elastic band and that elastic band goes around the back of your head as illustrated here, and that's just to keep the lace down in the front so that, if It'S windy, it doesn't fly away or fly up having you look crazy and then I'm just gon na secure the leg in place if you're not wearing a wig cap, which there are days, I do not wear my wig cap. I just clip the left than the right side in because the back of my hair is very sensitive. I can't even really wear like tight ponytails, so you can see that the lace is definitely not blending in and so I'm using this black eye shadow. That'S my secret to blending the lace, so I'm using the black eye shadow and I have to do this of every few times. I wear the wig. I don't have to do this every time. Cuz, the black shadow does a good job of staying on, but I'm just going around the lace and I'm covering it, and now I'm trying to pull out my edges just a little bit. You want to be gentle on the edges, but we do need the edges out of smidgen, because it's going to help to conceal the wig, so you'll notice that one like day, two and day three after you freshly flat twisted your hair for your wig. It will look even more seamless and invisible, because your edges are more frizzy, I'm just showing you here the different ways you can wear the wig, whether you want to do a middle part or a right part over to the left. But you know my favorite way to wear. My hair party is from the left over to the right. So that's how I wear it, but the wig does offer you a variety of parting options for you to select and choose, and you can just fluff it up and tease it. I'Ve not gone in fluffed it up with a comb that would definitely give it more frizz, so the curls look a little bit less defined. That is an option for you if you want to, but I'm just gon na, let it do its own thing and yeah. This is the final look, so I really really love this wig. You can get this wig from Big Top hair calm. I have a link in a discount code in the description box for those of you who are looking to purchase this wig. It is an investment and it's something that you may have to save up for, but it will give you lots of free time, a new look and it's human hair, so it should last you forever with proper care and maintenance. I hope you enjoyed this video. This is what I've been doing like I said before: I'm not a wig ologists, I'm not a Wiggy, I'm not a pro. It'S not something that I wear all the time and for the most part, I'm really loving the freedom that I'm getting. If you have any questions, don't forget, I want to do an FAQ of this video or my wig experience. Leave them in the comment section below. If you have questions on the products that I've used and maybe why I've used them, leave those in the comments below and anything else, honestly, just asked me if you really really liked this video, please give it a thumbs up. If you like, this video, give it a thumbs up, if you have any questions, leave them below and if you have not already please subscribe, subscribe to. My channel share this video with others, and, as always, I love you for watching.

Tulip W: Gawd, your skin is gorgeous! So even and pretty! Wig looks lovely on you! You're my #1 Natural Hair inspiration. :)

Theodora V. Mathias: I've never put on a wig so I really don't know the difference between the full wig, a U part wig & and lace front wig. If you could do a short tutorial about the difference between each wig type for newbies like me who's never worn a wig and are thinking of giving it a try. Thanks so much @BIakIzBeautyful. By the way❤️️ love your channel, your website it has helped me a lot throughout my transition. Certain products you used I've used like from the Cantu line, the Shea Moisture Line , Carol's Daughter and it's helping me with my confidence to revert my hair to its natural state . So thanks so much for doing that for me as well as a lot of us how were told that our hair was BAD HAIR

Courtney Jackson: Love the look. I use a similar half wig from Sensationnal called Rio. It's synthetic but I've had several uses from it. I leave my hair out in the front to blend. I'll always be a subbie because I loved your video about twist outs. Lol. I was doing EVERYTHING wrong. I'm getting better now but it's been a struggle figuring out what products work. Thanks for keeping it 100.

Leenieztalkandthrift: It's really cute! I love wigs, I wear them way more than my own hair. I still have so much to learn about them though. I love your boldness, how you go at things. I was looking for a recent detangling video of yours & then I started binge watching Elle & I now I found this one. I have a couple of products from that CD line in my stash. I definitely will be pulling them out next wash day. Tfs, God bless.

MsChicoro: Gorgeous, flawless, perfect skin! Nice video. Good suggestion about the black eyeshadow. Thank you for sharing the information with us.

alison hilaire: The wig looks really nice on you ! I wear wigs regularly and I agree : cornrows can be very tight compared to flat twists. That's why I take my time to make looser cornrows. And even with cornrows, my head is too big for any regular size wigs PS : maybe you could get an intern to help you film some of your videos

Monica Cooper: YASSS HUNTY COME THRU!! Love this wig on you Jenell, great demo.

Damesha Bailey: I used wigs to give my hair a break. What I did to protect my edges was wear a thin satin scarf, put the wig cap over that and then the wig. I only used the adjustable straps not the combs. This tactic is also great in the winter to keep yo head warm lol

treneano: Thanks Jenell for all your wonderful videos. I wanted to share with you a recent experience I had with Big Chop Hair. After watching your video and MATV videos I decided to purchase the upset wig. When I received my unit one of the clips was broken. I emailed the owner with no response. Several days later I sent another email. The response I received was "please sent it back to the address in the packaging". This was a unsatisfactory response. I've already spent $330.00 now I need to spend more money to send you back the wig. I waited several days before I responded back due to being upset. I explained how I felt the customer service was not acceptable. The response I received after that was"I was going to credit your card back for the shipping". I'm not a mind reader or never have claimed to be one. I say this all to you because I value your channel but be careful who you put your brand behind. Thanks again for your wonder videos! My friend in my head.

b00tay7: Great video! Can you show how you're maintaining the wig? (washing, conditioning, etc)

Melly Mel: Thanks for the video!! 1)what process do you use to wash the wig 2) how does it compare to the upset wig 3) have you considered doing a twist out on the wig. I purchased kinky curl wefts over a year ago and have installed them 3 times now. I love this hair!!

Rep Jesus: Great video! I have been using a satin type bonnet like cap (fits not as snug as a wig cap) then a wig cap over that to keep my hair in place. My hair was super dry before doing that. But I also wasn't moisturizing my hair using the L(carols daughter leave in purple and white bottle)O (JBCO or some natural oil to my scalp and hair)C (Qhemet Biologics detangling Ghee PLUS their hair butter) method either which I've learned that my hair needs it every 5-6 days or so. My hair has never felt so moisturized until I started that concoction! I two strand twist my hair into 4 sections and then bobby pin it down flat after stretching out each twist. I am on a wig protective style journey for at least a year. My hair is already doing much better and it's only been 3 months. I think that I will start trying the Carols daughter shampoo and conditioner that you highlighted to reduce breakage. Thank you again for a great video.

Aurora Autumn: $360 to get a full install ( 2 bundles and 1 closure) Seems better to get the wig for $400. The texture looks amazing.

Kaydaloot: you look gorgeous girl!

Triple Three Tarot: I was considering buying this wig and was led here to your channel. This is beautiful! The texture is really nice, but the unit looks wiggy. Some people don't care about that though because they switch their wigs up so often. You look great as usual! Skin and makeup are on point. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah That's Me: You Go Girl, love the Glow

T K Tebbles: hey sis. you look sooooooooooooooooo pretty. just a breath of fresh air

Maya: I like this wig on you but I'm still wary when it comes to my hair because my hair lines are so fragile ...However those flat twists look great for a protective style. I will try that instead for now.

Kimberly McNeill: Love the wig!

Osman Lake: Are you using JBCO as well on your edges? Sounds like it's time for another challenge (my favorite). I think I may try a wig for my next protective style! @blakizbeautyful

April Dawn: You look beautiful by the way Jenell

Billyn Tarplain: You could use Toppick.spray in black to blend in the hair instead of eyeshadow

chris j: love your hair

Precious Lafleur: Thanks for the tutorial! That hair looks great on you. If you're concerned about breakage you should check out the website: wwwthemanechoice.

aminah215: I can't bring myself to spend $400.00 :( Looks great on you tho

Amani Kafele: Do you still wear the wig? Can you do an update of this wig?

Renee Love: Natural beauty! Beautiful unit! Please, what products and care are you utilizing?

Kim may: wow so lovely I can't believe I like this video an didn't comment I really love how you take care of your hair underneath #caribbeanlove

BlakIzBeautyful: I love this wig sooo much. Kinda Kinky Full Lace front wig http://bit.ly/2bcLIXZ. Save 10% at check out with code kccm10. Don't forget to ask me any questions about my wig prep and the wig itself so that I can make an FAQ Video for you.

Sofina Odero: Do you still love this wig? I've heard a lot of bad reviews about customer service and the company's units itself?

bohemiangirltraveler: I so enjoy watching your videos. What length is your wig?

Jenny Ruiz: you've lost so much weight. I does shows you are taking care of the inside too bc you r glowing.

Kim may: wow this is nice j I really love it was waiting on this video it looks so good #caribbeanlove

Tywan Brown: I'm Loving It..

ldyluv: I agreed with you with the cornrows. Makes my scalp very irritated also.

Not About Beauty: You look amazing! May I ask if the lace in the wig is itchy?

The Curated Beauty Project: Hi, what length is this wig? Thanks in advance.

AnnMarie_EverBless: love your videos, i have a question i have itchy scalp any recommendations?

IwillBEme4U: So do you feel like the roots are too straight or wavy on this wig? I would like a kinky curly wig but I hate the straight/wavy roots!

4CKINKYDIVA: love the hair. My only comment would be to takeout a lil more hair to cover the lace. Gurl, up close no one would know its a wig (or hat as i call wigs).

Nyemba CN: Thank Thank U So So Much ❤

divine_empress05: Hey Jenell, I noticed..you used the conditioner and the deep conditioner both...why is that? Did you just use the conditioner to detangle and the deep conditioner to actually condition? I'm just curious.

Rosie Lusa: Oh wow! it makes u look more like ur Elle! cute. I thought wigs r supposed to protect the fro. do they also enhance hair breakage? I just started using them as a protective style..hmh..

Karen Henderson: That wig cap will dry your hair out get you a satin one at your local beauty supply store

seauxCourtney: You should tweeze the edges of the wig so the edges aren't so thick. Tweezing the edges will give a more natural and less "wiggy" look.

Helen O: What length is this?

Gomotsegang: Healthy hair

Monica Thomas-Hawkins: Just wondering if you have checked out Toni Daley's wigs? ! have 2 and I really love them

Kelechi Imokhai: Does it have a smell?

April Dawn: Wow very pretty...but PRICEY as....! I've been awaiting the info on it...

Aminako: thanks for sharing but I really don't know how to do flat twist.

Mya Clark: I'd like to see the footage because I purchased it & don't know how to wear it

curlykiki: i LOVE monoi!!

Danelle Noble: I'm interested in getting a wig. not sure what wig to get. My edges are thin (genetics) and also due to braids. So I've heard a lace front wig would not be good for me. So what is good for a gal like me with a thin edges? And does one sleep in a wig? I'm new to the whole wig thing as I've never worn one...

Hunny Gyrl: cute
