Wig Install Over Locs | Platinum Highlight Wig | Alipearl Hair

I should have put you somewhere when all the fighting man should not have sticks with nothing around texas, texas. I know hey y'all me slay by jordan, and the company i'll be working with today is ali pearl hair. They sent me over. This platinum highlight wig in 24 inches now, i'm just showing you all the goodies that came inside my packaging. This way it comes with three combs in the inside and an adjustable strap at the bottom of the wig. It is transparent lace. It is a 13x4 a full 13x4, so you could do middle parts deep side parts. All of that um. The knots were pretty regular. They weren't super huge or super small um. That was just normal. Shout out to this color and y'all. This week gave me no shedding out the box no shedding period, let's get into it. So today i'm going to be showing y'all, my beautiful muse reecey. She has locks and i'm going to show you guys how i did this wig install over her locks. I know y'all gon na fight me but y'all. I forgot to record me braiding her hair down. Oh my god, y'all, don't fight me, but all i did was under braid her hair and then sew the ends up after i apply her ball cap. We'Re going to get into the wig, so what i like to do is cut some slits around that ear. Like cut it up, you see how it makes that wig be able to stretch more, i like to do that with my loc clients or my clients with super big heads that way the wig can, you know, fit across their head without me, having to pull and Tug too much because too much pulling and tugging your wig is just gon na slide back um, i'm using my ruby, kisses level. 16. um. I think i used the darkest shade in that palette. I put that on her cap, i'm putting that on her frontal and on the top of her frontal as well um being that this is transparent lace and she is chocolate. You definitely want to use makeup or lace. Tint to you know, tint your lace um. Now, if this was a hd lace wig, i probably wouldn't use no makeup, because i feel like with hd lace. You really don't even have to use makeup or lace tint for real, but being that this was transparent, we're going to use makeup today, i know i haven't, did it in a while but yeah. So now i'm just adjusting that wig on her head and i'm making sure she holds it so it doesn't move. While i'm getting the back secured y'all know, i usually cut out all the combs in the wig, but i actually left that bottom cone in her wig, because i'm going to slide that underneath her braids um. I just like to use that cone with my clients who have locks because i feel like it makes it extra secure and even though i am using the comb, i'm still going to go in and sew that wig down as well. You know i'm all about maximum security. I do not want my clients, all they braids uh, the caption, underneath when they swing their hair, um reecey she's, the artist, so you know she'd be performing at her shows, and you know when she's swinging her hair and stuff. I don't need none of what's up on that, we to be showing so we we maximum security to the fullest. So right now we're just cutting out her ear tabs, and i know a lot of you guys have a problem with that. So basically, what i do. I just make a part around the ear in the shape of the ear, and i literally cut everything below that part out, and you may have to cut a little bit more after that, but that's basically the easiest way. I can explain it. I literally just make a part in the shape of the ear and i cut it out um, but with work practice you know you'll get better at cutting your own ear tabs. It is harder to do your own wig install on your own head, but yeah right now applying my last layer, which is my fourth layer to her right side and, as you can see, her left side has already turned clear. So we're going to go ahead and lay that lace down and by the time we get done, laying the lace down on the left side, the right side will have been done. Dry. Do not lay your lace down until it's clear. If it's still white baby, please don't lay it down because you're not gon na, like those results and then you're gon na just use your comb to just smooth that lace into the skin. You now we're just blow drying that lace using high heat and then after we use the high heat we gon na hit it with some cool air. Just to make sure you know um that glue cools back down and everything starts, you know securing together. You know the lace and the skin, they need to connect together, they need to make love and when it's too hot, they like to separate that's why you got to cool them down and just let them freeze together um. Now, i'm just tying her lace down using the elastic band. If you see that braid in the front, i just parted it out the way, because i already know that wasn't um going to be glued down and i was going to cut it off anyway. So i just want to part that out the way just so i don't know i'm just i know about stuff like that. If i know because see one thing about me, i glue the hair. I glue the lace down in the shape of the hairline, so anything. That'S not glued, even though i may be cutting off hair off the lace. I don't care, i'm not going back and gluing it down anything that doesn't glit get glued down the first time there. My clients will tell you baby. It'S done, i'm not gluing it down a second time, so, right now what i'm doing is um. You know it's tracks right behind the frontal. So i'm just i just split the hairs and you know open up those tracks, because i want to make a stitch right behind that frontal um once again for my big head clients um my clients who have locks or um a clients who have a heavy weight, You don't want um, you don't want your wig to slide back from all that weight in the back. You know at the back, we sold the back down and we used the comb. So it's a lot of weight in the back. So what i want to do is like reinforce some of that weight towards the top. That way, the frontal won't pull back so much. You know what i'm saying. I don't think i explained that well but, like i make a stitch behind the frontal just so you know for one, so i don't have no bubbles in the back of the wig and two so like all that weight isn't pulling on the frontal, because you know Extra weight is gon na make the frontal slide back. So i just take away some of that weight, making the stitch um. Now, i'm just taking my eyebrow razor and cut off that excess lace. Oh as a holiday is, and as you can see, the lace is very much so noticeable. It'S like boom, it's there, but all i'm going to do is add some more makeup. You know y'all got to trust the process. Y'All know jordan gon na melt it down. You know the transparent unless you have to put a little bit more work into it, but that's fine, because that's what that's what i started working with was medium brown and transparently. So you know it ain't, no biggie, i'm gon na add my makeup. Y'All know once i spray that hairspray, it's hot down the elastic band, it's gon na be in there, so you know don't be trying to talk jump by me in the comments i know and also y'all. I forgot to apologize long ago in the video. If the video looks real dark and real warm real, giving baked in the oven is y'all. It'S because i had the wrong lighting. I forgot to calm the warmth down on my ring light and turn it more towards the cooler side. So yeah it's giving very much. It'S getting very much we hot in the video, but we really wasn't like i don't know, my lighting was just messed up like so much went wrong like on my end, not on ali pearls or the wig salt. Like notice, we, the wig, was great. So much went wrong on my part, i'm like dang after i finished her hair, i'm like dang, i didn't record braiding your hair. Then i looked at the video i'm like dang. The brightness is so dark. Not only did i have my warm ring light on. I had the nerve to turn the brightness down while i was recording i'm like girl that is going to eat me up, but you know i still wanted to give y'all a video and i promise y'all, i'm gon na show y'all another video with her with me. Braiding her lock so y'all can see exactly how i do it just cut your board. Some slack, you know just give me some splash. You know we have our days. We have our days um. I use that wax. Stick in that hot comb to lay her part in and i'm just separating her baby hairs, then we're going to get those out the way and then y'all already know we're going to spread our lace with hairspray and tie it down with our elastic band. Do i let you go misery and boom tells y'all to trust the process, so now we're going to get into these baby hairs. What i did was to my eyebrow raisin cut them down to about like an inch to an inch and a quarter. Now i'm going to take my half of an inch flat iron um and we're just going to curl my baby hairs up um. I know most people curl their baby hairs down, but i just feel like curling mine's upward. They just work better for me um. Then. I'M gon na take my mousse and my um edge comb brush. I use the calm side and we're just gon na swoop them baby hairs into place with the um with curling the baby hairs. They just want to swoop better. They just sweep so easier um. But honestly, if you use most of your baby hairs, you really don't have to fight with your baby hair as much anyway, because you know with mousse they typically just lay down, but when you curl them and use the moves like girl, they lay down down. So yeah, then we just gon na wrap all that up and then we gon na start flat ironing her hair, oh, is i'm. Taking my beyond the zone turn up the heat spray. I spread it on each section and then i take my conier um conair pro tourmaline ceramic tools, flat irons from sally's. I think they were about sixty dollars, the two inch ones and we're gon na press the hair. Out now i do have to say the hair. Didn'T press silky straight? It definitely got straight, but it wasn't like silky silky straight um. I felt like if i wouldn't have washed the wig and just flat ironed it straight out the box. It would have been silky straight um, so yeah also what i did do off camera, which i didn't tell y'all girl i just lost today. I did bleach tonight some i plucked it and i did a wash the hair with purple shampoo. If you want your hair to have a more silkier look, just take the wig fresh out the back, don't even bleach the knots just pluck it and install it and you'll be perfectly fine. If you do watch it, i just want to let you know you may come across the fact that it doesn't get like super super silky straight um and i just want to let y'all know y'all know i let y'all know the truth, um so yeah, even though You see me pressing y'all know big. Jordan know how to press some hair. You know you can see. It still has a little bit of you know like thickness to it um. This is a thick wig too um. This would be perfect for some curls. So now we're going to take our wrap strip off and then, after that you know we're going to comb the baby, hairs out off camera and then cut them down some and honey we finna get into this final look.
