Easy Hair Tutorial: Blue Highlights + Wand Curls (Beginner Friendly) | Asteria Hair

Hey guys welcome back to my channel, so i'm gon na do a very quick introduction because i feel like i don't talk to you guys all the time, so i'm gon na give you guys a little bit of tea. So today, i'm gon na be doing this. Super cute, i keep looking at myself because i love this, like i remember when i used to love curly hair. This is the kind of curly hair that i like. I like manipulated curly hair. I don't like, like coiled curly hair. I, like this kind of curly hair, like this looks so voluminous, so fabulous so juicy. I love it but um in addition to me doing, wand curls, which is something i never do. I never do um. I did some colorful highlights, but it's very subtle. I wanted this to be wearable for all environments, if you're just somebody that doesn't want to stand out too much or in a certain work environment where you can't wear super bright hair. This is going to be perfect. Blue just always hits different. You know what i'm saying like blue just goes and blue's not like an annoying color to have to wear for a period of time. You know, so i thought this would be perfect. You guys can't see it from here. It'S also late. So that's my phone. I was supposed to film during the day, but i'm going to get up a little bit closer, so you guys can see the highlights it's so pretty and so subtle, it's just like different shades of blue throughout the hair. My inspiration was um. What was that? My inspiration was jt's: um hairstyle, you guys saw it on instagram um a few weeks back months. Back, i don't know, i'm gon na look and put it up somewhere, but um yeah. That was my inspo and i freaking love it like this is this is fly and i love the wine curls. I never do want curls, but it's about to be my thing again like it's so cute, it's just giving fabulous. So this wig was sent to me from asteria hair shout out to them for sponsoring today's video, but we're doing blue highlights today super fun right, so you want to start off with your bleaching mixture. I use the ion ion developer. Sorry blonde brilliance bleach and i mix it on up and there i am i'm masking. While i do this, where i'm multitasking queen over here, okay and i sectioned the hair off into three sections. So i did the front um into two and then i left the back alone. So i only did the highlights at the front of the wig, because that's where the highlights would really matter, i didn't feel like it needed to be all over the hair, because also it would have just overpowered the look - and i wanted this to be very wearable And subtle for everybody every and anybody okay, so i'm literally you guys taking random pieces small big in between and i'm just putting bleach on it, i'm putting the bleach mixture on it combing through it, making sure i'm saturating it so that it's even and it's not Patchy and that's it - you guys, i'm using um my lace paste products for this. As far as like the little sheets that you're gon na see me using the brush the bowl, all that is from lace paste. I will link that down below and i also linked down a video, i'm explaining more on these products, but they make bleaching the hair so easy. You can literally do this at home, so i was able to achieve this blue highlighted. Look in two steps. I bleached the hair washed it out with purple shampoo, which didn't do much, because i didn't bleach it to like a blonde blonde. You guys are going to see it was still kind of brown and brassy, but that's neither here nor there. It was enough for the blue to stick to the hair okay and then, after that, i just used some blue dye. I let it sit for maybe like four hours, because i really wanted to penetrate the hair follicles, and that was it was a super easy step. I will say, though i did drag this out. It took me like two days to do you guys i dragged it out. I could have gotten this done in one day, but y'all know me queen of procrastination, but don't be like me, work efficiently, okay, so so this is the hair the next day, like 95 dry, you guys see like it's lifted. It looks really pretty so at this point i was honestly going to leave it alone. I'M like i kind of want to leave it like. I like this, like brown moment like very cute right, so you can leave it here, but i am adding some blue, so i basically mix those two colors um. These are from lime. Crime, love, love, love, love, love their colors. You guys! These are good for painting. On the hair, they are not good for watercolor, i'm going to repeat: they are not good for watercolor they're good for painting on the hair like this like distributing it like this they're highly pigmented, they don't run like they're, really really good colors, so i'm just putting That, like all over the highlighted parts, i tried to make sure i got every area that i highlighted without leaving brown pieces, it's okay! If it gets on the black or the natural black part of the hair, because it's not going to dye the hair. It'S only going to stain pre-lightened hair, it's not going to dye dark hair. Does that make any sense? I hope that's making sense because it doesn't have developer. It'S literally just like a dye. It'S like vegan. I think don't quote me, but there's no like harsh chemicals or anything like that, so i'm just doing that all over the hair. You know what i'm saying you see just very saturated. I mixed the blues. Some was darker. Some was lighter, it's exactly what i wanted and i let it sit for four hours and then boom. This is the hair the next day. You guys see that it's really just in the front, but it was all that it needed. I did not need to do it all over if you would prefer to do this all over be my guest, but this is exactly the look that i was going for, so i decided to make my life a little bit easier today and i wanted my hair Off of my head, so it's a lot easier for me to do on the mannequin head. I'M using this chi lava wand curly see how long the barrel is super skinny um! I saw arnel use this in a video last year. Oh my gosh, this curl, this curling wand is amazing, so i'm basically doing it off my head. All i did was put the serum all over the hair brush through it and i'm curling it holding it for a few seconds and spraying it with that l'oreal hairspray. The curls were perfect, you guys after i curled this. I actually didn't put the wig on for two whole days. So when you guys are gon na see me putting this on later, the curls were still in my hair and i wore the wig for a day. After and my i'd like wore a little pineapple to bed and the wand, curls were still in my head, like this curler, oh my gosh, and on this hair. Oh, my god, we're not talking about the hair. I forgot about the hair. The hair is bomb. Asteria has the best hair and specifically curly hair. I love love, love their curly hair. Every time i wear their curly hair, it just hits and i feel, like we've already seen the curly hair. So, that's why i decided to wand it and add some highlights and just do something fun and different, so just wand all over. I did them in different directions, so they wouldn't be super uniformed and like curl into each other. So i'm just doing them in different directions and i literally did the whole head. It took me about 40 to 45 minutes, but i was just listening to a little beyonce. You know jamming out and i didn't feel restricted because it wasn't on my head. So it was a lot easier to do and i did a pretty good job. You see that yes, so here we are you guys. Two days later, like i said, um the curls are still very much intact, so i'm just gon na be doing the same. Ol samo i'm gon na, be applying my wig with my even spray. If you guys are new to my channel, i don't use spray, i mean i don't use glue, i only use spray and i don't do the ball cap method and my hair still be late. Okay, so um yeah, i'm just gon na, do what i've been doing, and i just want to give you guys a little bit of information on the wig since we've been talking about highlighting it's time to talk about the wig, so this was a curly texture. It was 24 inches and 180 density. Okay, perfect! You don't ever want to go anything higher than 180 density with curly hair or is going to be too big if you really feel like that's necessary cool, but this hair was pretty big on its own um. I love the natural pattern of the hair, but i just want to switch it up and i feel like one curls hold the best and look the best on textured kind of hair like curly kind of hair. Okay, like this hair, was just so effortless, like i loved it, so um yeah this pretty much wraps up the hair video guys, like you know, i'm just cutting the lace, sweeping the baby hairs. I didn't do um a part i was debating like do. I want a middle part, a side part, and i was like the wand. Curls just need a flip over moment like it just needs an effortless effortless moment like the curls are already a lot. You know like one curls are a statement, so i feel like it.
