Wtf?!? Black-Owned Restaurant Banned Black Women Over Lacefront Wigs

Get ready because you about to be at atletico real, quick, shout out to the neighborhood talk um, you know they keep they keep they they finger on the post. Okay, they keep their finger on the post. I ain't got time. No more i'd be i'll, be trying to get out of other people's business but uh because they keep their finger on the post on the pulse. It was interesting to see this right here where you go. Oh here it is these two young, ladies shared a story about a black owned restaurant that discriminated against them because of their wigs. Apparently this particular black owner of a restaurant called them out called out a group of friends because they wigs their lace, was showing on their wigs hold on i'm gon na rewind it and i'm gon na. Let y'all hear it for y'all sales. We just left. What'S it called copa in cincinnati, ohio, ohio, the brunch place, that's like a bar owned by j-rod black owned business, and they did not let us in because of discrimination discrimination of how the way he wants people to look, not how we as women, black beautiful women, Want to look as he wants us to freaking look right, so the thing was he said that um, our cousin's lace was visible and he did not want us to come in. Look how good this girl looks. Look how good you look and our other cousin her wig cap was showing cause. The wind was blowing. Look how good she looks where, where y'all it's her birthday and we came from out of town like that's crazy, okay, everybody wants a part two. So like we made reservations at this restaurant a month ago, it's like a cute like little brunch like bar place, um. If you live in cincinnati or if you're familiar with cincinnati, you know like they get a lot of business or whatever we knew that they had like a strict dress code, because they want you to look nice like understandable um. We made sure we complied with like all of their dress code, so we thought that we were good so as we're walking up to security for them to check ids and stuff, because somebody said like y'all look young. That has nothing to do with it. They were all of age um, we were walking up to security and the owner was standing outside and he pulled us aside and he was like guys like cuddle up huddle up. I got ta say something and he was like i'm not trying to be nasty or rude, but um when you were walking over here. I could see like your cap or something under your hair, blah blah blah. That'S because the wind was blowing and then he looked at my other cousin and mind you like she doesn't have lace right here. He was talking about her part, like literally her part like okay, i'm about to make a question. Okay, everybody wants a part. Two. Okay, part: two: i think i'm gon na be able to fit it all right here. So then he was like and you um, i can see your crisscross crisscrosses. He said i can see your crisscrosses crisscrosses anyway talking about like her legs and she was like she kind of like giggled like like. Are you serious like type stuff, and he was like? No, like i'm dead serious. You know how the girls on the internet be. Like what lace that lace like he was trying to be funny, like that's the thing about it, he was trying to be real funny real rude like distasteful, nasty, ill, ugly, energy, and then she didn't even like, say nothing crazy to him. She was just like you're talking to us and you don't even have on a mask and he was like i'm outside like what does it have to do anything, nothing but but yeah, and then basically he was just like yeah. So i'm not gon na be able to let you all in don't go in like that's disrespectful. I don't know, that's disrespectful, but we were just telling him how he felt disrespected and stuff, and he was just like, like i'm sorry and we just left and we went to have fun, we went to a mexican restaurant, then we went to a lounge and we Had fun like she had a good birthday, so that's all that matters okay, so i just want to say thank y'all so much for um leaving a review on the place like they have five stars yesterday and like now they got two so um. Thank you. Okay. So i just want to say thank you so apparently hold on. Let me find this restaurant. What'S it called copper hold on i'm going to look it up on yelp. This business is being monitored because y'all was like dragging them in the uh in the community public attention alert. This business recently received increased public attention resulting in an influx of people posting their views to the page, so yup be doing that y'all be going over there to yelp the drag people they shut it down. They shut it down. So it's people up here leaving one stars now this place discriminates and has a very strict dress code. If the owner doesn't deem you fit, you don't get in. It'S actually very disgusting and misogynistic doesn't support black women and will never be getting my service, and you should consider never giving them yours. For these reasons, you should be able to go out, eat, drink and have fun without being judged so yeah. It'S a whole bunch of people. I would hate to be an african-american woman turned away because of a hairstyle. Should i go bald disgusting service would give zero stars if i could discriminatory business so yeah they all over there, leaving them one stars for this uh. They are dragging them uh. Somebody even said i would give this restaurant zero stars. If i could uh, i would give this restaurant zero stars if possible. My girlfriend - and i were looking forward to eating there for months - hold on it's a whole bunch of them. They drop kicked my newborn baby. Oh, oh! No! It'S not giving what they're supposed to gave now. I wasted my money. So send me my money back. I went there over the weekend. My way to punch me in the face and body slam, my sweet, great grandmother. She passed away right now on the dining room for rip granny, not to mention the restaurant was musty and the food was lukewarm. I would not be returning. Oh y'all are so shady somebody even put category a user suggested this category as public bathroom. I think it's wrong, i think it's wrong. I mean we need to hear from the owner. We need to hit his reasons of why he was telling these girls they can't go in because they wig honey. Maybe they was too loud and they lace was showing it. You know the wig was blowing and her wig was slipping back and you know i don't know, i don't know what y'all think, but my hair blended. So he went. Let me hear right now. He says wan na get want to send shout out to my city for making brunch on the low hashtag brunch club at copa. The number one - oh excuse me: the number one destination for tri-state each and every sunday shout out to all of the out-of-towners who pull up louisville, lexington dayton, columbus, bardstown, indianapolis, middleton, akron, springfield, cleveland detroit and every other city. I forgot. We appreciate y'all side note. As of april 1st, fresh code will be strictly enforced. We understand this won't make everybody happy, but copa ain't for everybody. She was cool with it. Her friend wasn't. This is uh the the um owner talking um. He also said uh. She never was in line. When i saw her walk past me, it was hanging out, i told her. She was gon na, go to the car and fix it, but her friends were salty. Why was he telling her about her weird? No, what's the way you got to do with him, j rodge, so it's true uh, it's not true! That patrons were turned away because of their hair j rodge. Were you trying to help her out as in hey, you may want to fix your hair. I was it, you, don't look the part, so i don't want you in here. So then he responded, but he was fun yeah, it's not true. They were never in line and then somebody said j-rod. She wasn't in line to get in your establishment. Yet you told her to go to her car to fix her hair. That was the what was the point in telling her that then okay, they own them, they own them jayraj. So what's your dress code, is it no gym shoes? No hoes and jeans. Are you saying you just don't don't come dressed like you're going to walmart j rodge said she was getting ready to get in line? I was looking out. I know she didn't know it. We even tried to go in and he stated it was disrespectful for us to step into his facility. We had a reservation. The picture is below. He could try to lie, but now what he did was unprofessional and a complaint has definitely been found. They showed a booking. They had a booking for copa, lounge sunday march 28th, at 4 p.m, party of five, oh okay. So now people are saying i'm sorry. Y'All went through that. That is ridiculous. I 100 did not believe a grown man was actually trying to help her out by pointing out her hair was out of place. I absolutely believe it was uh. It was an attempt to embarrass a black woman shaking my head. It'S disgusting, the disrespect we go through with some of the men in our community. Okay, now they talking to him again. It was like j-rod, they had reservations. So why would it matter if they were in line or not? You approached them to tell them that something was wrong with their appearance. If, if it wasn't a problem, why go up to them and say anything at all? The friends were something because your approach sucked now, if this same thing happens to your mom, when she has on her good sunday wig that everybody makes fun of behind her back. You would be pissed, okay, well, y'all said it was more to the story and there it is. He said he pointed he admitted he pointed out that her hair was messed up and that he saw the the the lace in her part and he didn't like it and he didn't want them in her his restaurant, with her little wig showing and uh yeah. It'S unfortunate, but would he do it if it were uh caucasian people if they're look, if that clip is, was it was sticking out? Would he have done it? Would it he have done that? Why is he worried about her head in the first place exactly jasmine? You need to be worried about her money. He need to be worried about that party of five reservation. Oh well, oh well, oh well, y'all be worried about to. Why can't? Why do y'all be police and black women's? Here i told you i'll stop doing that. If we want to wear braids, we can wear braids. If we want to wear wigs, we can wear wigs. If we want to wear our hair up, we can wear it up. We went down, we were ponytails, we can do what we want to do. Why is it so important that black women, you know, y'all get mad when black women do white women, doing they wear their hair in ponytails and up and down and wigs and everything else, and then some of them be trying to wear braids now but y'all mad At us, i don't understand that they be policing black women's hair so much it's unfortunate, so support these young women. Don'T support that janky ass restaurant, if you in cincinnati or whatever the hell it is go somewhere else for brunch. We don't care about him. Go put your old wigs on his doorstep, since he care about wigs, so much honey. Send him a uh, uh, uh invoice for a new wig or something j-rod pay the rent, it's his rules and his business. I guess i guess it's his rules and his business. That'S why he got two stars on yelp honey: that's why he got two stars: ain't, nobody going to his janky restaurant and they had to label his restaurant a bathroom. That is why that is why i'm just saying: let me see what they got. Two stars: y'all see that y'all see that okay, oh well. He went from five stars to two stars just that quick, y'all, better respect this black dollar honey. Our money spends two our money.
