Coffee & A Kiki!!! - Rupaul'S Drag Race Wig Recap - S8 E2

Hey everybody: it's a gloomy rainy Tuesday morning here in NYC, and that can only mean two things number one. I'M really excited to make a video, because I look fierce when it's gloomy out. I don't know why, but I do and number two. It is time for coffee and a Kiki. My coffee, mug is really really full today, put on your pajamas grab your coffee, mug and let's get to Hulk and okay. So my first to critiques that i got from last week, the ones that i heard the most of her that i was to close in on myself. I guess that was that idea, so I'm gon na be sitting back fully in my chair, no zoom or anything, and then the second one was that I wasn't showing you guys what exactly I was talking about which um I can do. I figured out how to do it, so I'm gon na try it in this episode, but I'm only gon na do it for runway. I'Ve only had 11 hours in between it airing to start making this video, and for about half of that i was sleeping because my body decided it was appropriate to wake me up at seven forty-five. This morning, though, i wrote notes, while the show was airing. So I didn't have to actually watch the whole episode again because that took me like three hours to edit last week's video, because i watched pretty much Lola episode. While I was on camera, not a good idea. All time crunch girl, I think that people forget that and that everyone else has a different opinion and we're all drawn to what we like. And if you don't, like my opinion or if you feel that I'm wrong number one, I really don't care cuz. It'S my video and number two, if you feel so strongly about it, don't be a troll make your own video if you're, that strongly opinionated about this stuff and who knows maybe you'll become the next YouTube superstar. So I totally agree with Layla's comment about. The runway. Looks - and I also don't agree with Michelle saying that the bottom of Leila's outfit was a cop out, because I kind of felt that the bottom of Cynthia Lee Fontaine dress was a comp out of the pink didn't even go with the rest of her pain. I don't know, but you know Michelle could have said something to her and it just didn't make it into his final edit. That'S what we don't know. We don't know any of these things. So i think i'm gon na start saying that true or false said. Oh cute, so then they had the dance off and then Betty keeps talking about. You know, thorgy being hairy and all this stuff than later in rehearsal Betty her shirt up to like wipe her face, and she totally has a big ol black hairy happy trail. So she can't really talk about the hairy love you Betty, but no, the the dance-off Cynthia's hairline was like back here that just i slayed me, it was just that hairline back here. Our dance is really cute. I died and then chichi came out and did like the leg up. I love when girls do that, because I can't even get my leg about 90 degrees. So I love what anybody can like kick their face. Hold it in death drop, it's just the best and again she comes out and I'm, like all looking she dances like me, that's all idea, so the winners of that challenge, worse India, da and chichi duh, and then they split them into two teams and chi Chi's Team was the shady and Cynthia's team. Was the lady they're doing a pitch-perfect ripoff called perfect and it was two different rival. Girl teams eat all of Betty's faces and comments, while they were in rehearsal on stage and off just reminded me of why I personally do not do community theater anymore, I mean yeah. She was kind of being a about it but like as thorgy said, that's what Betty does that's, who she is hey, I'm much all connected with her. I was like that's my soul, sister right now and then Kim. She was like I've never seen pitch perfect. I'Ve. Actually never seen pitch perfect either and then they go over to the other table, and I realized that Robbie Turner and I have the same hair. I need to get this thing faded and lated and chichi said something about being. I'M used to being the star. I'M used to just everyone following me and listening to me and then I get in this group and they're all stars too, and I totally can sympathize with her because that's kind of where I was when I was a freshman in college, majoring, musical theatre, I'm the Same as everybody else, and everyone else is the star from their high school or their theater or whatever, and it was a kind of a culture shock, a culture shock almost because you're used to being somewhere and then, when you kind of realize that there's other people There with you, if not above you so Gigi I've been there Gras, I got you and everyone's doing you know the step, touch, step, touch and kimchi can't do it and that's when I realized okay, I lied I'm a better dancer than Kim G, because i can Actually Josh then they're getting ready, and I noticed that betty was doing some pin curls on her head. So yes, Betty work that musical theater training get those pink girls on your head and everyone show you their fat kid pictures and that honestly, that made me so happy. I had the biggest smile on my face. I just loved the fact that she she told that story about herself using the bad behavior and using the gangs and everything to help deal with the fact that she was gay and that she overcame that, and she grew from that and she's on television. Now, like she's the whole, probably her hometown, hero now and that's amazing, and I think that that is just that just goes to show how far drag has come and what drag can do for the world and for people I need. I need coffee right now. I just like RuPaul's wig this week. You guys, like hmm, I thought last week's wig slayed me and then she came out all those finger waves and the fact that the finger waves went like all the way over onto the side and all the way for. Oh god, what is Oh bad, Mathu Anderssen like cheers to you, here's to the ladies who beat hair like growl. Yes did anyone else find it hilarious and ridiculous that um, the blonde girl team were the lady of the lace front institute. Only two of them were in lace: fronts, hilarious, like Derek, was in a nice, pretty lace, rug and Layla was in a lace front that had dark glaze, but she was still in one and everyone else was in my heart front, ahead, bad or bang, and that Just was like you're from the lace front Institute really and then I loved Robbie Turner as the bass part that killed me. That'S just kind of reminded me of the end of a mighty wind with a mmm. Oh, I wrote this on Facebook last night. I got some good comments: Robbie Turner last week walks in and is like a poor man's version of jinkx monsoon, and then this week he walks in and he's like a poor poor man's version of paige Turner from New York and one brought up the point. Maybe that's why his first name has Robin it because he's like robbing other people's looks and that Slade me the runway was movie premiere realness and I have a cute up to the runway. You can hear it: okay, Cynthia Lee Fontaine. I love this hair on her. I think it's really pretty. I like the color, I like the color of the gown, but I feel like the gown is very simple and also I feel like she could be cinched a lot more Bob the drag queen um, my friend Brandon cuz. I texted him else like Bob's, wigs on real crooked and she wrote has to match her eyebrows um, but this gown is beautiful. This gown is beautiful. I love the idea of the hair with that headband. The lace front is just really really crooked. Derrick Barry. I love this color on Derek. I love the gown as they said he does kind of look like an aunt Margaret thing. I don't like the proportion of this wig he needs to either have less height or he needs to have more width to this wig. Personally, I don't think having the top of your wig super super high and the sides of it flat to your head or flattering, but there's a lot of drag queens in this world that deal so next Laila McQueen um. I don't know if Laila just doesn't know how to do hair or what, but I feel that every wig that she's worn has just been straight out of the bag and just kind of thrown on her head. I agree with Michelle later when Michelle says she was lost in it. I totally agree with her and I feel that she was being brought down because the hair is just straight and just hang in there and you know shake-and-go wig pretty dress pretty makeup, but I feel I'm just not loving it. You know Robbie Turner. I am obsessed with this rosemary clooney and white Christmas gown. Oh my god. I love it. I love this wig from the front and then he turned around and I was like: oh it's like an old lady twist bun in the back. No, no! No! No! But the front of this wig is beautiful. This entire gown is beautiful. I'M loving this look minus that bun, mrs. Doubtfire bun back here. She I love this gown. I don't know what this walk is. I don't know if it's just her or the way that she blocks out her hairline in cuz. I noticed in this last video she blocks out all of this glue. I find that her wig is always crooked and her lace is always either rippley on the ears. A ripoli all the way across I don't know if that's her her, not knowing how to maintain wigs man, that's not to say, like I don't like her. I think she's very pretty, and I think that she is great aesthetic and her makeup skills and her ideas are always are always so amazingly beautiful. I just feel that, like it's a disconnect between the rest of her and in the hairline chi Chi devayne um, I actually really like this gown from far away um, but I do agree with them that it's very plain and i think that the waist needs to Be tighter, the hips need to be tighter naomi. I love this. I love the legs. I love the bronze skin. I love the cutouts on this dress. I love just everything about this. The hair is ok, but the color on her is beautiful. She looks great acid. Betty, yes mama, i love this up dude with all the finger waves. I love her ear hat with this, the feathers or are those feathers. I can't even tell what that is. My only critique is that I agree with the one judge that said the bottom of the dress should be sheer because it cuts her off, and I do agree with that. If she had done the bottom of the dress in that sheer and then a sheer black to Dax exclamation-point girl girl, I really like Dax. I like him as a person he's looked beautiful at all other premieres. But honestly, it just looks like a vintage dress that he bought from like pin-up girl, clothing com or something that was way too short that he added a panel underneath too, and then they showed later that the panel wasn't even finished and but then later he rips It off so I don't know what that was all about, but that double skirt bottom, it's just not it's not a flattering length and I would have actually liked it better short, but the face looks good. The eyes. Look good! I like the lip color on him. Thorgy frickin thor this. I literally like stood up off my couch and clapped because this outfit is everything like I want that. I am going to call thorgy. I have to get her number first, but I'm gon na call thorgy and have her make me that outfit, because I wanted I've wanted a 70s disco pants suit forever and just that hair was good. I just love how expressive thorgy is on the show she's, so expressive she's such a character, and she knows who she is, and she doesn't fight that and that's what I love about her and I really think that thorgy is gon na, be one of the ones To contend with this season, I'm really so excited she's. On this I threw some shade a pretty much everybody, and then they got down to the best and worst of the night and then the final two were Laila and Dax, and then they did the lip sync and honestly when they announced the two of them. I was like Dax is going home, Laila got this stuff, Laila got this, but then Dax kept like cutting her off and Laila kept like not knowing where to move on the stage, and then Leila was just like. Let me get naked. Let me just take off this dress girl and that's when I was like okay you're not wearing a corset, bra you're, not work, of course interested or anything really, and the DAX like ripped off the gold part of that dress, and I was like thank you. You should have worn it like that to begin with, it looks so much better. I know tired of jana kabhi that lip sync was just a massive honestly when RuPaul said they are both going home. I was shocked so I'd. At the same time, I wasn't really shocked because the last time there was a lip-sync like that that was such a mess and was not making me feel the feels at all. They both went home then to Andrew, gets her phone out and call somebody. So right now I'm thinking one of two things number one. I think shangela's gon na calm pop out of a cake again or something or she's calling in Lady Bunny like I, I kinda hope that she's calling Bunnicula up in this to put these girls in check. I really want her to call Lady Bunny. I guess we're gon na have to wait another week to see what happens next week on the drags races.
