Let Me Tell Y'All About These Hair Companies And How They Do Black Content Creators

I'M about to start talking, ain't gon na be long because I got ta get my son from school, but I just wanted to tell y'all what happened to me and what keep happened to me, but I just been ignoring and I'm sure other content creators are going Through the same thing, who's all in checking check-in Rose Carter, hey Veronica, hey Sasha. You know I'll be in my little emotions and my words my mind be moving faster than my mouth, so I'm gon na try to get it out as much as I can. The video is set to Premiere tonight or whatever, like I didn't, have a problem with the hair. So a lot of these companies will email me to do collaboration videos for them, so this particular company, which was curls queen - that hit me up to do a collab a week before that I had did one for wild wigs everything ran smoothly. Did it they paid me right after I sent them the video? There was no problem now we move it to the next weekend, where I had to do a video for curls Queen, so the agreement was, I sent them my Media Kit. They asked me to do. Collab I sent them my Media Kit. They picked the package that they wanted, which included me doing. One video for YouTube: um uh, a real for Instagram, which I threw in a tick tock in there too, and then um HD photos of the hair. So there was a package for a certain amount right. We agreed on this. They always try to when they, I think I feel like they only do it to Black content creators so or maybe they do it to other people which I highly doubt, but I feel like they always trying to make us discount stuff. So, every time it never fails with all the companies I get in my price and it says in big ass, bold letters in my media kit. Prices are non-negotiable, they always oh. Can we do a discount? This is our first video when I was first starting out on YouTube and getting my feet wet with the whole um doing collabs and stuff for uh for these hair companies. I didn't know like where the store, so I was just like I'm gon na jump in when I get used to it. I know how to work and maneuver it how to worry about uh packages, how much I want to charge or whatever, according to how long it takes me to edit how and then I let them know too, like I'm a licensed hairstylist, I'm not one of these Pop-Up YouTubers, that's just side. I just want to like play in some hair and do some hair like I actually do this, so I have a full work schedule so I'll fit you in where I can fit you in, but I try to get it out before. Like two or three weeks boom, so the F4 discount, I was like no there's, no negotiation. They was like. Well, it's a big budget. This is something we've uh. Our company is a big budget for our company, fine, whatever y'all got to do. I always let them know if it's too much, that's fine! I understand if you have to pass hi, so they agreed to do it right. They send me the hair out. I get the hair. Something went wrong with my first model, so I couldn't do it that weekend I had to prolong to the next weekend. So I let them know, I'm communicating and letting them know hey. This is what took place. I'M starting to record today or tomorrow, which I recorded on the weekend. Y'All know the weekends are busy, but I got it done because I said I was gon na. Do it when in a time frame, so I got it done so now. I'M in my model get here and we get started, I'm rolling, I'm filming, and I noticed that the I had to do eye uh the eye tips. I noticed that the eye tips were like too big for the beads. Now we started early in the morning didn't get done to until 6 p.m, um - something that normally takes me four hours to do because I'm struggling with their hair, but I still got the video out. I it was still uh. We got it done. The hair is beautiful, like I'm, I'm not mad at the hair. I love the hair. The hair was of great texture or whatever. My only problem was the sizing of those eye tips which I see because the video comes out or comes on tonight at six. The sizing of the eye tips I had trouble with that. I had to run to the beauty supply. I just had to do too much to get this video out for this company, so I don't work towards so I'm I'm happy to send them the uh video. I did so I'm happy to see it in the video or whatever I sent them the link to let them watch it, they watch it or whatever, and I'm also communicating with them before I even sent them a link. I let them know what I went through with the hair. I don't know what it is about. I I don't want to like sound like I'm saying it's the whole group of people, but a lot of them people a lot of people from China. They have a problem with being accountable that y'all, I'm sure y'all don't deal with y'all have been to the nail shop before and maybe they messed your nail up and you go right back and tell them hey my nail. The first thing they're gon na do is accuse you of doing something. Oh you did it you, you jammed your figure. No, you messed it up. Do it like it's, it's it's always going to be this back and forth. Instead of saying okay come on. Let me fix it or whatever, so I let them know about their hair. The first thing they do was try to accuse me. I was like oh well at least you're model how's it my model. If your product is not fitting in the micro links that you send me, it has nothing to do with my model. Oh well, you should have sent the hair back. How am I going to send a hair back if I'm in the middle of doing it? I didn't already use it and made the video, like you never say in the beginning of this, to be like hey. If you have any problems before you go too far, send it back. I just know I needed to get this video. I worked hard and I got it out. Video turned out good. Her hair turned out pretty so I'm just running down all this, so they'll know like I'm gon na. Let my people know like what I encounter and get them a heads up like before. Y'All get to if people decide they want to buy off of my channel. Y'All need to get y'all stuff together, because I would hate for people to order this hair and then they get it and they can't use it because y'all made the links. The eye tips too, damn big. I wish I had a um. I took to show y'all exactly what I'm talking about but y'all. If y'all watch the video tonight, you will see because I put them in a video to see how big those eye tips are. Yes, I had that issue with my nails being smeared by the Chinese man and what happened he automatically accused you right before. He decided to fix it. Why I got ta, have a whole argument with you before you decide, but anyway we was going back and forth. Like that, so I'm just like hey this ain't, what it is I'm just trying to let y'all know what's going on, so you can fix it for for future references boom, okay, video app! Then they come on. They was like well because you didn't uh. So I was, I did the video, for, I guess I'll, go ahead and put the price that particular kit was three thousand dollars they, okay for three thousand dollars. Now they want to come back, oh well, you didn't deliver the looks or whatever her head was [. __ ] sore like at this point, because I'm like we'll like, of course, I wouldn't like jamming them in or making like put extra tension on her hair, but because we're sitting here constantly going back and forth switching out links and it kind of made her hair Tender, so we didn't do all the pulling of he was like uh. She uh. I don't know who I was talking to a man or a woman or whatever, but they was like. Oh and you didn't show the fluff, and this is that in the third one like we couldn't do no extra Styles, because her hair, it was sore like we're doing like a little bitty individual microbeads. Now her head don't got soaked, we don't spend from 9 00 a.m to 6 p.m, working on micro links, so that happened and then the fluff it we couldn't dry it. It was still pretty in this wet form. You can see how like the curls are, but we didn't have time for her to sit under the dryer didn't get dry because she had to get her son and she had to go to an event. So we didn't get to do that, but I did get some pictures just so I can like, of course I had to put a final look on her hair when it was done, but that was just the only look normally. I would do like a put it up in a ponytail and show you all the versatile Styles, but that just didn't happen. Let them know all of that and how I had to Time Lapse the video, because it would originally show me and my frustrations with this hair, because literally I'm on, like one link where I'm like trying that one, they don't worry, give me another one. Trying that one, it don't worry, give me another it's through the whole damn head, and that was on one individual little bitty link. So imagine me going through all these links. I know she got over 150 links in her hair and I had to strategize on how to get them in there, but I got them in there and we had to use different links which again you'll see when the video Earth but to shorten this um. This. This conversation, because I'm getting aggravated just thinking about it, they tell me oh well, we want to take a thousand off because I didn't give them uh the looks and they want flux. I'M like yeah now y'all got me messed up like I said I wasn't gon na negotiate at all, but I was like you know what I'll take out. Five, I'm not doing a thousand. I was like 25 and I'm not going no lower than that. Okay, I'll go talk to my boss. Go do whatever you got! Ta go! Do because I'm not going no more than 25 okay boom, then gon na look, they agreed to 25.. So then she I'm just say she. She text back uh emailed and said: what's your email, mind you and my kid has all the information that you need in my email. It has my email where you will send your payment to so why are you asking for my email? Okay, I sent the email. I don't hear nothing normally I'll write them close like closer to midnight, because I know like the time difference. They'Ll be up so I'll write them. So by the time I get up in the morning, I should expect an email wake up in the morning no email. So then I email again, I'm like hey um. When should I be expecting payment matter of fact, let me pull up, so I can make sure I give y'all the accurate this stuff goes so far like it. This is [ __ ] great thanks for letting me know hello, just an update. I was sick, okay, so I was like Hey. I was set to record last week, but my model didn't fall through, in which I had to search for another model whose hair would match so. First, I had to find a model who her was gon na match the hair that they sent me. So I was like I found a new model and recorded everything yesterday I just wanted to. Let you guys know that I didn't get footage, but I I mean I did get footage, but I wasn't able to record to really record like I normally do, because we had to keep stopping to find links that were big enough to fit the eye tips recording Took extremely longer than normal, and it was very difficult trying to find smaller pieces through the hair that will fit into the beads so that the hair turned out. So the hair did really turn out beautifully. We weren't able to do a full set and a lot of the hair wasn't used. So I just wanted to let you guys know maybe next time the eye tip should be smaller, so they don't so they can fit and slide into the micro bead. I will send the link to this video this week in the next couple of days when I'm done editing what they sent me. Oh at that time, they send this little. This message to my: oh: we all okay, all right, we all so now they um sent something else back, so they was like here's the thing we agree that we pay uh uh, here's the they say, here's the thing we agreed on paying the video three thousand. It'S a big budget for us, so we want to make this video great. If you think the our tips have something wrong, we can send you another hair or may I know if you can find a new model, we want to show the audience a full head. How am I gon na contact you and Tom, and I was probably when I'm literally in the middle of the problem I said I didn't know there would be a problem with the hair until it was time to do my model's hair. Finding the model wasn't the problem, it was the size of the end of the eye tips that uh go into the micro beads. They were made extremely too big that I spent hours on my client hair running to several Beauty Supplies to find different beads that will fit the active hair to fit the eye tips. Her hair is extremely full, but I just wanted you guys to load uh what the problem was. I ran into doing the process of putting them in which shows in the video of me struggling who I can't read today, trying to get the hair and the bees in my screen crack. It was just a bunch of goddamn back and forth. Let me get to where they was um playing with me about my money, so I sent them The Tick Tock link right. I noticed that they posted it, but y'all ain't send me my money. We wish the video could be more. Please, please kind of. Let us know if you can add these parts. Fine looks um trying to find where it got to the portal back and forth with this money, because it was a bunch of messaging back and forth and not sending me my money, which is why I ended up on Instagram Facebook and YouTube. We really realized. There'S a lot of room for okay hold on so then, okay, oh I'm trying to get all this in y'all. What'S a tick tock, so we can hit them up. They don't pay me my money now so with the tick tock thing so, okay, they said. Thank you very much for your willingness to communicate with us. Just like your fans, we realize there's a lot of room for improvement, so I hope that you can give us a chance. I do expect payment to be made today. Still didn't get no payment that was on Friday. When do you get off your holiday? They always pulling this. Oh, we gon na help. This is the most holidaying ass people they stay on the holiday like they have holidays. It seems like every month and I'm gon na start researching. I'M let me learn the culture. They have a damn holiday every month when they don't want to do some [, __ ], so now they on holiday. Is this y'all I mean I'm Tick Tock, but it's a lot of YouTube content creators that they play with like these and I'm like I'm not y'all, know pay me my money. I worked hard on this video. I got bills. I got things I got ta do like, and I'm gon na speak a little later on about what they really be doing, how they be skimming and scamming and profiting off of us. So it took me going all the way to Instagram to make those posts on Facebook make those posts for my people my little goon squad. I realized I got. I got some hitters behind me. I ain't realized because I'd be quiet. I don't really be posting too much. I don't put my business out there, but when y'all pull up y'all pull up, so I guess my goon squad done with tagging tiger tag attacking it. First I had to take the wrong company. It was another company that I had worked for a long time ago. They ain't do nothing for so curls curls. It wasn't curls curls, it was curls Queen. I had the problem with so I had to put the post down and repost it to put the right company up there. Now all of a sudden now you're in the comments. Now we can get some action now. You want to talk because now you're getting you're getting tagged wearing my photo is so I can put a little screenshot now y'all getting tagged now. There has been so many of my videos from YouTube that I have worked hard on. I done stayed up at night editing in the week. I was because I work all day then, when I get home I'm in Mommy Mode by time I get him homework. Fed babe play with him, give him a little attention and then put him to bed. This is my little time that I really had to relax in that time. I'M sitting down and I'm editing videos voice over suck cause, I'm country in my voice and it's just it don't be coming out right sometimes so I had to keep doing the voiceovers over and over and over that [ __ ]. Take time not to mention like having to sit upper and actually record in between clients and still be working in between the time I got for my client slot before the next client come in. So I'm doing all of these for y'all to take. They will take black content creation, I'm sure y'all, don't seen it on Instagram, your favorite hairstylist, your favorite celebrity hair stylist. They don't took their videos and advertising it on their hair company page as if it's their hair. They do it to me all the time they use my content to draw in attention, not just me, but any other content creator who has a big following who pulls in a lot of views. They'Ll, take your video chop it up and put repost it on their page. Yes, promote your own boost of your own products. I am I just it be I'll, be it'd be far in between, but I'm definitely going to start back promoting my own, but this. If y'all decide, if it's some hairstyles on her y'all decide, y'all want to uh do get into this or do any kind of content creation or whatever like we, don't have to figure out a way because I I'll back when I tell you, I was looking up How I can sue them from over here like that's, why they do it, because they know, like we ain't educated on how to handle Foreign Affairs, like we don't know like. I don't know what lawyers to talk to to deal with something way over there in China. From the U.S like who do I talk to but baby I've been Googling and I'm Gon na Learn and I'm gon na figure it out because one thing for show is they get money off our backs? They'Ll. Take your your content. They'Re reposted on their page they'll act, they'll set it up. They'Ll set the page up as if, like they'll, share different people stuff and word it like they're in support of you like. Oh, do you like this, do y'all like this? What do you think about these hairs and then they're like tag uh? Tell you to click the link in a bio to go, buy hair, but then it's what I get sneaky at. So you know when you're on Instagram posts, people don't like to read more than one or two sentences. If it says read more more times than likely We're Not Gon na click read more We're Not Gon na read past them two sentences. So they'll put they look advertisement up there in the first two sentences and then read more it'd, be a bunch of [ __, ] hashtags right then they'll put a million, then I'll tag you and then they'll put a bunch of dots. Who look who look? I don't give my Ig information anymore. When people request to follow me, I review their page. You got ta, do what I got to do, but this they taking my content from YouTube. They taking it from YouTube. It'S not just hair, it's clothing too yeah. This is what they do, they will sit and take and steal, and then they make money off of us and we don't sit and put out what about the content. Creators who who are really like me sitting and putting in the time in the work trying to build up they they following in their in a platform and then they gon na, take it and then they get book. Reviews built Bookoo comments, people clicking the link buying their stuff, and then you got the look. The little person over here that created the content. Ain'T even getting the props for it like that. [ __ ] is wrong. It is wrong and we have. We are not saying that we're just kind of like oh well like rolling over letting it happen. I was one of them. People too, like At first I was mad. I went on this Rampage like I did to uh uh with this uh Hair Company y'all go tag, them tell them, take my video down and I'm trying to figure out. So it was just happening so much so I was just like. I don't care. I still get tags to this day and stuff that is mine to where I'm just like. I don't care because I didn't know how to fight it, but I don't like we need to kind of come together at this point and figure out how we gon na fight this. We spend this a billion dollar industry and guess who paying the money guess who paying the money we get money in, but not nearly as much as we are pulling out when we're buying the products and we're doing the advertisement. We doing all the dirty work, but we're not getting paid for it and that that is wrong. It is wrong and I'm sick and I'm tired of how they do us. You don't tag Us in half of the stuff and then, when you do tag us, you put our names so far down on the uh. In the description away from the original description of what you you talking about, you posted where you put a million hashtags a million dots and then throw our name in there somewhere ain't. Nobody looking down there to go, find to see who who made this content most people Minds gon na think. Oh, that's that hurt. Let me go click and buy it. My stuff done showed up on Amazon. My clients done they faces. They don't took pictures off. My Instagram Facebook, Google and they use it on Amazon selling, wigs like I'm just over it. I am over it all of them. You needs all the popular companies, they do it and then took this, which is another reason that I may stop doing it because I haven't had nobody tell me that they got any bad hair off of me sharing or doing content for um hair companies. But a lot of people have actually like they'll, send the the person that's doing the content. They'Ll send the good her to us and then, when the consumers are buying it, it's turning out to be trash as hair. Now I hadn't had nobody personally like come in under any videos and be like. Oh, this is a trash heard. A lot haven't had that problem, but I've been in the other videos of under content creators or under these hard companies where they have like commented. This and I'm like, I don't want to be a part of it like I know when I get to her, I I can tell immediately if I like something if I don't like it and I'm gon na, let you know if I like it. If I don't like it most of the time I like it but um and then like I tell my clients who I'm doing the videos on yeah, let me know if God is her turn out later on. If they, let me know, then I'll come back in and say hey. This was some jacked up, her don't don't buy, but I haven't had that problem. So we're gon na see what these last two I did with um now with curls Queen, I would say, like I said I did like to her and the girl hair - that I did was my little sis or whatever, like she just really uh text me not Too long ago, letting me know like how she liked her. She sent me videos of her with the hair she's like really enjoying the hair, so it's not no bad her. I came back still for her. I did like the her texture. I loved everything about it, and now she done gave me feedback she liked it. My only problem was how they handle [ __ ] after and uh the product that they sent. The tips was too big. That was my only problem. Wasn'T expecting it to get this far, but it did and we here so I just wanted to make this video, because I said I was gon na. Let y'all know what was going on: y'all, don't roll for me and y'all y'all didn't, went and pulled up on girls Queen and made some baby my money. So I also y'all to really let y'all know what was going on and what I was going through like and what black content creators go through. They, we kind of it's it's sad like how the industry is. With this we buy from y'all. We spend thousands of dollars with y'all, especially the ones who buy hair from y'all, don't buy hair from China. I buy hair from somebody else and his manner uh. A lot of them be lying about what they really be going through. With this hurt and I'm not about to lie - and I let them know if I don't like it - I'm gon na - let them know if I do then I'll. Let them know like I'm not holding nothing back. I ain't had no bad experiences yet, but but I mean with hair that I like feeling it and getting it and not liking it.
