How To Stop Wigs & Weaves From Shedding Excessively- Hair Care Tips For Wigs, Weaves & Bleached Hair

So many times i would hear people say: oh i'm not going to use my good, shampoo and conditioner for my weaves, i'm going to save that for my own hair girl use it for your weaves too. They need love. I'Ve seen a lot of people walking around with some weaves that need a lot of love. Hey guys, it's your girl, kate! It'S your girl, kc! Welcome, back welcome back today. I wanted to talk to you guys about weaves and wigs. If you have a weave or a wig, that's always constantly shedding. You definitely want to watch this video, but first before i get into these tips. So if you could do that, that would mean a lot so today i want to share something with you guys that i've learned after you know, processing my weaves and wigs and also like bleaching. Even my natural hair is that when you bleach your hair, whether it's natural but today we're just going to mainly talk about like your wigs and your weaves every night, you go to sleep. You have to put some moisturizer some oils and nourish it, because your hair is dry. It'S thirsty and i don't understand like if you bleach your natural hair, the hair, that's growing on your head. Would you go a week without putting any moisturizer in it? No, so why do people do that to weaves in order to help prevent some shedding and keep your hair nourished, especially if you've bleached it? You have to put conditioner and oils in it every night. I know it's annoying hey. It is what it is, but that's just how it is, and also even if it's not bleached i do find like every other night. I would have to put some conditioner in my weave just so it's like moisturized and it's not dry like yes. This hair may not be growing out of your head, but you have to treat it like it's growing out of your head and so many times. I'Ve seen a lot of people walking around with some weaves that need a lot of love. Uh uh, you don't just use the cheap stuff for your weaves. You can use the good stuff, because essentially you want it to look like it's your hair. You want it to look beautiful, you're, going to keep this on your head for like what i know, people who wear weaves up to like six months, you have to treat it right, take care of it. So, in order to prevent shedding number one, you have to um moisturize it now for a moisturizer. I just found this bomb moisturizer and no excuse me this video is not sponsored, but it is called elasti-qp olive oil and mango butter, leave-in conditioner. Now a lot of other conditioners out on the market. You guys see that a lot of other conditioners out in the market right now they water down their ingredients. It'S not good for your hair. They were bought out by bigger companies, no ain't! Nobody got time for that, but this conditioner here, let me tell you the first few ingredients listen to this water, olive oil mango butter, argan oil, coconut oil ginseng extract, that's the first five ingredients, most of the conditioners you will get at target or wherever you get. Your conditioners from it's probably like alcohol and polysoma nominaid, you know like random things. I just made that up that you can't even i don't even know what it is you can't even like pronounce it so definitely put some moisturizer in your hair and, like i'm gon na, show you guys, as i just roll up like one or two curls. I put a good amount now if you're gon na, if you're going to uh like take your rollers out, and you don't have at least eight hours kind of monitor the amount you use because it'll still be kind of wet and if you take it out, if You take your rollers out if you wear rollers at night, um in the morning and they're still wet kind of just like if you have to take them out of the rollers, go ahead, but don't manipulate it too much, don't comb it too much. You know you want it to dry a little bit, but it definitely needs moisture, because i've had a lot of people come to me saying they don't buy blonde weaves. They don't bleach hair this or that because of shedding trust me, you have to moisturize your hair. Now i will say, like most hair sheds, most weaves shed. I don't know if there's some like a thousand dollar hair out there, that like has minimal shedding. If so, let me know leave it in the comments below, but a lot of us, including myself. We like to pay reasonable prices for weave so like minimal, shedding. I can deal with, but like a lot of shedding where, like it's like you're a golden retriever and your hair is everywhere ain't. Nobody got time for that, so i definitely will say to reduce shedding whether your hair is bleached or not condition, condition, condition and pick a conditioner. That'S not too heavy and weighs down your hair. Sometimes it's trial and error because there are conditioners that kind of make your hair clumpy and stringy, and you don't want that. You want something that you know when it dries it. Your hair is like bouncy boing. You know what i mean like my hair has been through a lot already throughout the day. It'S rained um i've taken a shower, but it's moisturized. I don't know if you guys can see it right, it's moisturized and it has some shedding. But when i first bleached my hair and i brushed it, i was like oh my gosh, like i'm gon na, like brush all my hair out of this wig and i realized, like you, really need to moisturize it and moisturize it well, so um definitely get that Moisturizer, if you have one you like um use it don't just use it for your natural hair girl, your weaves and your wigs need it too, and also in addition to moisturizer. Since my hair is bleached, it needs like a oil to seal it in, but a lot of oils on like weaves or wigs. I know you guys know this kind of like make it clumpy and just and weigh down. But what i like to use is this growth sheen. It doesn't even have a cap on it. It is wonderful, it's called growth sheen by mega growth, perfective mega growth, growth, sheen and it's light, and so i would just spray some on my hands and rub it through my hair. After i conditioned it and then roll it, and it's just amazing and then when i'm done spray it all over now i've tried some oils, sometimes it's just too clumpy and just weighs down my hair, like i want my hair to. If i bounce, i want it to bounce with me, you know so i can you guys can definitely try this oil. I get it at like a local hair supply store, but you probably find it online amazon wherever. But, yes, you have to nourish your hair. Every night, especially if it's bleached seal it in with some oil, and you have to also make sure that, when you're laying down you are laying on silk silk. Silk. Silk like i want to grab my silk pillow, but i don't even feel like getting up. I'M a little tired, but if your hair is matted, it's gon na and you're gon na have to use a little force to brush it out and if you just lay on silk, it doesn't really get all matted up and messed up. Like i promise you stop. Laying on the cotton start laying around like get yourself a silk bonnet, a silk scarf. If you want to be cute - and you don't want to put on a scarf get yourself a silk, pillow and you're good to go so definitely invest in a silk pillow. I think they're like ten dollars for one on like amazon, that's not a lot, but it really will help preventing your hair from getting matted which will help prevent your hair from shedding, because when it gets mad - and you know you got ta - you got ta fight. Your hair to get to get the kinks out and ain't. Nobody got time for that right. So what did i say? Conditioner oil um a satin, pillow um, and i just give one more tip it kind of brings it all together is if you see that your hair is dry and kind of like crunchy, and so don't comb it just leave it put your fingers through it or So, but put some oil on it, put some put some conditioner on it. Even sometimes midday, i'm like oh, she needs a little pick-me-up. I just rub some conditioner through it or spray it with some sheen. If i can like don't comb it you're, just gon na make it shed and make it a hot mess like condition it before you comb it out, rub some oils on it. Put your fingers through it, but don't comb your hair, especially if it looks dry, feels dry. Maybe if you like, put some water in your hand and then do it, but don't put the comb down too much excessive combing is just going to cause your hair to shed, especially when it's dry. So if it's dry sister, don't even pick the comb up, get some water, some conditioner some oils and rub it in before you even comb it out or you're, just going to have your hair everywhere. So i promise, if you guys, follow those four tips. Your life will be so much easier. Your hair will shed less and yeah. Thank me later, so i'm gon na show you guys how i'm just gon na show you like how i roll one excuse me my hair uh was it so i'm gon na show you guys how i roll up um my hair at night and look here. Is one conditioner and it's like gone? I am not stingy with this thing. I need to order some more. I love it, so i go to sleep with flexi rods and i'm gon na show you guys how this hair looks in the morning, but not all day, but my hair is still for the most part moisturized. I can tell she's ready for her. You know her moisture or whatever. Oh my gosh why'd. I sound like that all right, so i already got the conditioner in my hair, i'm so anxious to put it on. So i just put my hair honestly in like five or six big sections sections and like um roll it or whatever. I don't know why, but i want to say oh whatever um, so this is how much conditioner i use for, like a section right, seems like a lot, but it's all right. I i have enough time to let it dry. I put it up at the top. You definitely get the bottom there's something about the bottoms that frizz up. You don't have time for that, and i know it seems like a lot guys, but i promise you this dries and your hair is going to thank you for it. Now that it's moisturized, then you comb and you start from the bottom and you work your way to the top all right so she's combed. Then you put some oil on it and then we roll and then we roll and then we roll and then we roll it and then we roll it and then we roll it. Now. It'S probably gon na look all crazy because of course it's gon na look crazy while i'm on camera. Let me see now that might do. I know you guys, probably like girl, that roll looks crazy, but i like when it like you'll see in the morning when the curl just goes. It goes off. You know what i mean sometimes when i just can't find the right word to say i just make sounds so i'm gon na go ahead. Do that to every section of your hair guys, so i'm gon na go ahead and roll this up. Take my butt to sleep and i'll, see you guys in the morning stay tuned. You see my hair, it's beautiful!
