Super Natural Kinky Curly Bob Install & Honest Review | Alipearl Hair

Welcome back to my channel. If you are new here, my name is Stephanie on my channel. I do a lot of different things, but in today's video we are doing a wig review. I'M going to be talking about this unit that I have on my head, which was sent to me from Ally Pearl. So how do I do my wig reviews? I start off with showing you my unboxing, so what this unit looks like just straight out of the box, all the goodies that came along with it, and then I will show you how I Define these curls after I co-wash the units and then my install. So how I installed this unit on my head and then at the end, I will be back to provide you with all of my pros and cons on this unit. So let's just go ahead and dive right into this video and jump into my unboxing. So you know what to do: keep watching alright guys, so here's the pink satin bag that the unit came in, let's go ahead and open it up and see everything that came along with this unit. Quite a few goodies came with this unit. So first I have this pink satin Edge, scarf. Also, this elastic band that says Ali Pearl, another elastic band to sew inside of the units, an edge brush, a pair of lashes, a pack of wig caps and the unit. So let me go ahead and open up this unit and see what it is. Looking like, I'm gon na go ahead and take off The netting and the foam and the paper that came inside of the unit to keep the structure. So this unit is kinky curly. It is 250 density, it is a 5x5 closure and this unit does have free parting. So you don't have to leave the part in the middle. You can part it also on the sides. The hairline is pre-plucked. The knots look pretty good. However, I did go ahead and bleach the knots on this unit, so it has two combs in the front one in the back. Also the adjustable straps. The unit did come with an elastic band, so you can sew in yourself. So now I'm going to go ahead and Define the curls on this unit. I already bleached the knots on the unit as well as co-washed it so right now, I'm just separating a layer of the hair and clipping the rest out of the way, and now a few pumps of a lot of body foaming mousse into my hands and running That, through the hairs just trying to Clump those hairs together and I'm also using a flat brush as well, I am not using any kind of special routine or anything. The only thing that I am doing is separating out layers of hair, using that Lotto body foaming mousse, putting that directly on the hair and then combing through it with my flat brush to Define and Clump those curls together. And I am doing the same thing. All of the back of the hair, as well as both of the sides. This process may look like a lot, but it only took me about 10 minutes to do the full head of hair and defining those curls. So I'm going to go ahead and finish up the rest of the hair and just keep watching foreign. Thank you so now that I have all of the curls defined I'm going to go ahead and let the unit dry overnight, and then I will be back to show you my install foreign guys. I am back, and here is the unit after I let it air dry overnight. Just look at those fluffy bouncy curls. Now, I'm going to use some of my shake bar lace, tint spray that I purchased from Amazon and spray that directly on the underside of the lace, to tint the lace to my skin tone. It'S best to dry the lace with a blow dryer. However, I was in a bit of a rush, so now I'm going to just go ahead and cut off the lace, cutting as close to the hairline as possible, cutting in a zigzag motion to prevent any kind of lines of demarcation. And here is the lace all cut off, I'm going to go ahead and slip the unit on my head, placing that back comb in the back of my head and already I can tell that this unit is way big on my head, so I'm just trying to Adjust this unit on my head, seeing how I can make it fit also pulling down that wig cap in the front of my hair. Already, I can tell that this unit is going to take some work, so I'm just going ahead and fluffing out those curls. Just a little bit just raking my fingers through to kind of make the hair big. Also, there was a few strands in the front of the hair that I needed to cut down just a little bit, but it was only like two strands of hair so in order to fluff out this unit and make it bigger, I am just going ahead and Separating some of those curls all over this unit - and I noticed a little bit of lace that I left on the unit by mistake, so I'm just going and cutting that off and again just going in and separating some of those curls to make this unit bigger. I noticed with this unit that I did not want all of the curls super defined, but I did want some of them fluffed out to give a more natural look and now just combing a few hairs down on both sides around the hairline and cutting those down And using some guys to be glued gel and swooping, those back for baby hairs, nothing major, but the hairline did look a little naked without some baby hair. So I had to incorporate some thank you, foreign and I'm still pulling some of those curls apart around the hair, just making this unit as full as possible. However, the more that I wear this, the bigger and Fuller the unit is going to get the more that you play with this unit, the better it will look. I promise you and now just a little bit of Elf concealer with an angled brush and putting that right there in The Parting line to make that part Pop, and that is all I have to do to install this unit. So, as you can see, I did not glue this unit down. I did not spray this unit down at all. So now I'm going to turn around and show you all angles of this hair so of course a front and then side and back and side again and front, and that was it super easy right all right guys. So I am back, let's go ahead and recap the specs on this unit. So again this unit was sent to me from Ali Pearl. Thank you again, Ali Pearl for sending me over this unit. So this is their 16 inch kinky curly bob unit. It is a 5x5 closure and it is 200 percent density price for this unit in 16. Inches is 175.99, it's a hundred percent human hair. The lace is Swiss lace, cap size is average and the color is in the color natural black. So, as far as my pros and cons on this unit, So Pro number one for me is the curl pattern. This Kinky Curly curl pattern is absolutely gorgeous. Let me give you all a close-up, and so I did co-wash this unit and let it air dry overnight. I defined these curls with just some lotta body, styling mousse, and these are the curls now I did separate some and kind of fluff it out just a little bit just to give it some volume. The good thing about this unit is the more that you wear it, the more that you kind of play with it and hustle with it, the bigger and better it is going to get so. This is only the beginning for me, since I just installed this unit and have not been wearing it all day yet, but I cannot wait to see how big and fluffy this unit gets. That'S the good thing about these Kinky Curly units they get big and fabulous. So if you do not like big bold fabulous hair, you may want to stay away from this unit because it is serving big. It is going to get big the more that you wear it, so this unit is 200 density. So it's a lot of hair on this unit, so, yes, it is going to get big, the more that you wear it. So I love that this unit has a lot of density to it. It'S not thin At All. By all means, it is not dead at all. This unit has some volume to it, which is amazing, so this unit does come in 14, inches, 16 inches and 18 inches. So I opted to get that middle range, so the 16 inch - and I absolutely love this length. I love that it's actually cut into like an asymmetrical bob, so it's kind of shorter in the back and longer towards the front, which is really super cute. So you do not have to do too much to this unit as far as styling now you will have to define the curls after you get the unit out of the box, but as far as cutting and shaping you do not have to do any of that. This unit is a hundred percent human hair. So you can, you know wash it, you can dye it. You can straighten it. You can curl it. You can do all of that good stuff to it. So that's always nice and then this is a 5x5 add closure unit. So I have it parted right there in the middle. However, if I did want to move my part over to a left side or right side part, I can do so. It is a lot of parting space on this unit, which is really really nice, so the color on this unit is a natural black. However, I would say that this unit is more of on the darker end of that spectrum, because this unit is giving jet black to me. It is not. It does not really have any brown Hues to it to me, um and I love that because I love jet black hair. So I am not complaining with that, but I do have some negatives on this unit. So let's just talk about those really quickly. So this unit is an average cap size which traditionally is around 22.5 inches around. However, this unit is swallowing my head. It is so big if this unit is so big on my head. I'M gon na show you under here like it is sitting right on top of my ears on both sides like this unit is big. It is Big, so if you have a larger head size or a lot of hair that you need to put under this unit, you were good to go with that. However, I have a smaller head size and I don't have a ton of hair to put up under a unit, so this unit is way big. It is so big and it does not have an elastic band, that's already attached in it. I believe one came with the units in the box, but it's no way to really like install it unless you sew it in yourself. So that's a bummer, because I really love the curl pattern of this unit and it is so big it is so big. So that's my negative number one negative number two is: I did have to bleach the nuts on this unit, so the the knots were pretty small. However, you could still see them, so I did go ahead and bleach the knots myself um now I did not pluck the hairline or anything that already came pre-plucked, which is really nice. However, I did have to bleach the knots, so I would say that this unit is on the mid-range for beginner friendly um. It does not come out the box ready to go and ready to wear. You do have to do some work to this unit. You have to define the curls, you have to bleach the knots um. If you want the hairline to be a little thinner, then you would have to pluck the hairline um and then you have to install an elastic band. If you choose to do so, but the good thing is that this unit is glueless, so you do not have to glue it down. I did not spray this unit or glue anything down or any of that and um, because I just have it sitting on my head, but um yeah. This one came with some negatives and I was not too thrilled about that um, but it does have some positive sensible. Well, so I'm not going to Discount this unit at all um, because the curls are just fabulous. I'M gon na turn around. So I can show you all angles again so front side back. The curls are just bouncy and flowy and Kinky Curly, and just I just love the curls. The curls are the shell Snapper here. So yes, that is this unit from Ally, Pearl hair.
