How To: Natural Hair ⇢ Lace Wig Start To Finish + Giveaway! Vip Wigs

Just when I thought I was getting bored with all these wigs, hey guys, it's Jodi and I'm bad can y'all believe this way came just like this. I actually straightened it as you guys can see. I ward several time just to give you guys a full review. So I want to wear it straight just to show you guys look at this look at this, so I wanted to show you guys, like the real deal about this way, so this week is from VIP wigs look how cute this is. It came with like a handle and I'll put all the details, so you guys can know like you know what the wig is packing, but I'm gon na go through and show you guys from my natural hair to the full wig look which I don't do often So I just want to show you guys, like the progression of installing the wig hope you guys enjoy, and let me know if you like the setup in here. Ever since I moved back to Florida, my hair has just been so fluffy it's slowly but surely getting back to its original thickness and I'm here for it. Okay. So this is what comes in the VIP wakes package. You get all the accessories you need. You get. Some lashes, some wig caps, an extra elastic band this week, has all of the bells and whistles has combs adjustable straps, transparent lace which I'll get into later, and since this is something I always get asked, I said why not I'm gon na show you guys how I break down my hair for my wigs, so I'm gon na go through the whole process of braiding, my hair, just because some people want to see like how I get like a flat base for my wigs, and this is how you guys nice, clean hair done Into cornrows a straight back, the Meek Mill braids, not too small, because I don't have to be tiny, tiny, but not too big to where they're bulky. So this is what my hair looks like very simple, very quick. Look at that length girl and I cut my hair. It was so uneven and it's growing back so kudos to me. So I'm gon na try the wig on and see what this hair lines. Looking like, I noticed that this was transparent lace, which is basically like beige or like see-through lace. So what that means is you can customize it to your own color, but, as you can see, the hairline comes exactly ready to where you don't need to pluck anything. So what I'm gon na do? I'M gon na put a little bit of foundation inside the cap to tint my lace. Alternatively, for like a longer term solution, you can tint it with some hair dye, so with some hot water, a couple drops of hair dye. You can dip your lace in it, it will semi-permanently tint your lace, so be like your skin tone. Color your scalp color or whatever your preference is, but look how the curls came. You guys the wig came just like this straight out. The box and the specs are on this wig, it's 150 % density, so, as you can see like when, I sure end it later in the video. It'S super realistic. It'S not bulky! It'S not thick! It'S not really something I'm used to on this channel anyway. Y'All are used to meet extra, but this is like so realistic. This is more along the lines of your everyday unit. You know like it's, it really slaves and it gives you like a flawless look. It'S a loose wave and it's 13 by 4 on the lace front and it's an ombre color with a natural color 30 and what I'm doing now, I'm cutting the lace. I take my time with an eyebrow razor and some really tiny scissors. You don't want to rush this, because one of my pet peeves is not having my own hair line, matched the wig or vice versa, and I don't want it to square. I just wanted some. I just wanted to match. You know I just wanted to match my face, shape my head shape and all of that I don't want it to look too unnatural. So take your time with this cut off a few pieces at a time. So so far, so good you guys what I'm going to do to install it today is using some got to be glued shell. I apply a little bit at a time just like thin layers and sections. I let it get tacky with cool air and then I press it down also with cool air. Yes, look at that hairline, oh my gosh. They did that like. I did not have to do any plucking or any like bleaching. None of that you guys. So I'm really pleased so far, so I'm going to go ahead and also do the sides, and this is a step you want to take your time with, because you not only want to make sure it matches your hairline girl. But you also don't want it to lift up or anything, and you don't want the glue to be all over the place. You have to be really precise with it, because the glue can get sloppy real, quick or the gel. Rather, the gel can be good. The gel can get sloppy real, quick and on the sides. I add a little bit of the hairspray as well. Just goes a little bit more stubborn and, of course I apply it with cool heat all right, so for extra security. You always want to use like a satin scarf or one of those wrap, those foam wrap strips and it really secures a swing down and so far so good. I'M glad that it looks like this because you can always go ahead and clean up, but for this to look good on the first attempt, it's pretty damn impressive. So, as you guys can see, I'm just testing out little parts. I don't want to mess up the curls too much, I'm gon na go in and clean up. Of course, even I make mistakes like I'm, not even a pro at like installing wigs and stuff. So I make mistakes and then I go ahead and clean it up and if I feel like adding baby hairs, I might do that as well. But if you're like a beginner and you mess up a little bit, just some subtle baby hairs. What kind of hide your mistakes as well, especially if you need to wear the wig like the same day and you kind of mess up here and there? This is a great little tip to cover your mistakes, but I actually love it on this wig. Just because of the curls - so I don't know the baby here - is we're doing it today. Okay, not all the time I wear them, but today I felt like it. So, as you can see you guys, I'm just fluffing and primping, I'm not gon na curl. Anything! I'M not curling the wig or anything it just came just like this. You know what it could get a little flatter, so I'm gon na go in with first I'm gon na going with some powder just a dull, but shine a little bit, and then I'm gon na take a hot comb and press down the root. Just for the part that I want and voila like look at this, you guys I forgot to point out the blondes. As you can see, it's not all one color, it's like really brown girl friendly, and this surprised the heck out of me, like I don't know you guys this week was made for me. So it comes down about a couple inches with the highlights and you can see it's not too sharp, so I really think they did a good job on this wig like I did not know, wigs can come like this. It'S almost as if I customized it myself, not to mention the color is perfect on my skin tone like I've got so many compliments on this showed it on Instagram.
