Hey there beautiful people welcome back to my channel playing with Suzanne for this review. Thank you so much for stopping by and today's video is going to be a little bit different. Normally I do a lot of makeup tutorials on this page. I also do a lot of unboxings of subscription boxes, but today we are focusing on hair, yes, hair, I'm going to show you guys how to install your own wig at home a really easy and simple way to do this. As you guys know on this channel, I do change my hair a lot depending on the weather, depending on how I'm feeling, depending on the makeup, look that I'm going for. So I want to show you how to be able to achieve that at home, because it is actually quite simple. So if you are interested in that be sure to continue the reason why I wanted to create this. Video is because many of you are messaging me on my Instagram page wondering about where I get my wigs from and how I apply my wig, so I wanted to put together a quick and concise video on how to do that at home. The reason why I do love wigs are for one of two reasons. One of course is like a protective styling for your hair. My natural hair is very, very curly. It'S really hard to manage and that's sort of why I got into wigs. In the first place. The other reason is because I didn't want to color damaged my own hair. I did that a lot in my teenage years. I used to bleach. It then go ahead and dye it again and go ahead and change it up again and by the time I was done, my hair was completely damaged. I wanted to give my hair a break just because I like to experiment with her, and so wigs were kind of my journey, so I wanted to also bring this to many of you because some of you have mentioned you do have damage to your own hair. If you like chemical damage, whether it be relaxers or colouring or whatever the case may be, and some of you guys are struggling from different health conditions that have resulted in hair loss, we therapy postpartum hair loss or it's related to alopecia or different conditions like that. So I wanted to make sure to bring this video to you all, so you could determine if wigs are the way to go. So that's what we are doing in today's video. The very first thing that I wanted to put in as a disclaimer is I'm not a professional hair stylist by any means these are tips and tricks that I've learned over many many years of using wigs myself. So I want to share my tips and tricks with all of you. The other disclaimer that I want to add is that I know that many of you are a little concerned with COBIT or coronavirus going around at this time and that you know our packages safe from coming from abroad, from different countries in Europe or in China, or Things of that nature, so I am going to go ahead and insert a little image from the whu-oh or the World Health Organization, and they have determined that they are safe to receive from countries abroad that are struggling with the corona virus. Currently and my thoughts and prayers go out to all of you, if you are currently, you know going through this terrible experience. Unfortunately, it's something that we are dealing with in Toronto as well. I did what a clarify that, because many of you, as do I shop online and a lot of our products, do come from abroad and I'm glad to be able to share that. They are safe to be able to share at home. Keep in mind whenever you're handling with packages, just as always, there are tons of people that touch them. Your mailman there's a sorting facilities. There are so many different other places, so obviously you know use a clean technique to deal with them as best as your ability. If it makes you feel more comfortable, you can definitely Lysol wipe your packages. I think that's a lot to manage, but make sure that you of course, use like proper. You know hand hygiene whenever you're dealing with anything that you're bringing into your home, but that's just my quick little disclaimer on that. The fun part, the hair that I'm wearing this here is actually by a company called Abbey hair on Aliexpress, and they reached out to me - and I was so happy to be able to partner with them on this video. So, thank you so much for giving me this opportunity to share this hair and styling it for all my people out there I didn't enjoy. It was a blast being able to style this hair. I will show you how I installed it like step by step and we'll show you what it requires to a bleach. The blonde streak in the very front that I have. I just did that as something a little extra. You don't have to do that, but the hair on its own is absolutely beautiful and natural a lot of poor quality wigs. You can't actually dye them like once you bleach them. You can never really lift them to a blonde, and it goes to show that this hair from Abbey hair is absolutely amazing, because you can actually lift this to like a platinum blonde almost if you really want it to, and the hair still feels really really soft. That'S the crazy thing and there's really no breakage. The only thing that I decided to do is just layer the front just a little bit just cuz. I really wanted to now for the specs on this hair. This is Brazilian straight hair. As far as the density goes, this is 250 percent density density is a term that is used to determine how much volume is in the hair. So this here is actually quite quite thick, there's a lot of it, which I really really like, and there are no tangles when I'm running through my hands and there's actually no shedding either always super important. When you are getting a wig, I did actually wash this hair completely Eiko washed it, and so it doesn't show any signs of like shedding or tangling or anything like that, which I find really impressive. I'Ve shopped on Aliexpress as far as hair companies for a very very long time and it's been hit and miss for sure. I'Ve had some really big challenges in the past with other companies. But I am happy to say that this hair is working out really really beautifully. Every thing I wanted to mention about this hair is that it's a lace frontal, so the very front part is waste. This is a medium brown lace. Normally, I would go for something transparent, because transparent lace works really really well, if you're a fair complexion or if you just want like a see-through lace and you could tint it on your own, medium lace works for most complexions. I would say it's like the most universal lace color and then, if you are a deeper complexion, you could always tint that as well. The other thing is that I got 24 inches as far as the length. I do think it's a pretty good length on me. Sometimes I do like getting a longer length just so I could put layers into it. Other thing to mention is that a B hair on Aliexpress does have so many different hair textures, it's not just straight. They have curly, they have wavy patterns. They have like a deep curl. They have tons of different textures to check out different lengths to check out, and it is definitely super super affordable, which is why I wanted to partner up at this company versus others just because some of the other hair companies, although really great, are not really at An affordable price point and many of us may not be able to afford them, so I wanted to make sure that I bring you something I think the majority could afford the way that I found this video is, I actually installed the hair earlier in the day. Just because I had to run around and do some errands so I'll go ahead and flip into the clip of me installing the hair and then we'll get back and talk a little bit more about it. This is a lace of frontal hair, which means that there is lace just from this part to about this part over here, and that means that you could part it in any direction that you want, which is always really great. This is not a full lace wig, which means that there would be lace all the way throughout those wigs are very, very expensive, so I wanted to bring something that's a little bit more affordable to everyone, and the other thing is that this is a 13 by 4 lace, frontal, there's also different sizes, just to terms how much parting space that you have. I do think this is adequate parting space for me, but it just depends on what your preference is. The key thing before you apply any of your wigs is to make sure that your base is really really flat. I'Ve actually braided my hair completely to make sure that it's like nice and tucked in inside you could braid it. You could also put a kind of a gel it flat and kind of like pin it I'll show, insert pictures of what you can do just to make sure that your own hair is as flat as possible before you apply your wig, because the last thing you Want is a really bulky wig and you look a little crazy, so you don't really want that. You want to make sure that your is nicely tucked away before you get started. You get a brand new wig. There'S always this excessive lace here and you should actually cut it according to your hairline, so you could tuck it back and see where your own hairline begins and kind of match it up. I do like to leave a little bit of extra lace, so that allows me to glue and install the wig nicely, but make sure you cut it according to your own hairline and your own needs. I'Ve went ahead and actually put this part in place just because I always like doing a side part. So that's what we're going to do today before installing any weight. That'S like a deep or dark color. I always bleach them up to make sure that there are no like not showing on your scalp, basically I'll, insert a picture of what that is. You just take some regular powder bleach and some 40 volume developer. You could also the less if you want to, but I find that I do need 40 volume usually, and you basically put bleach on the inner lining of the lace just to erase any sort of dogs that make your wig look Wiggy and unnatural. I usually bleach my knots for about 15 minutes and I do check it periodically just to make sure it's lifting okay after you do bleach or not, so you just want to make sure that you use a neutralizing shampoo. I just use a regular purple shampoo to get rid of that like Capri or brass, the undertone that can happen when you bleach your hair or you're. Not so now that we have all that, like sort of prior to installation information, now we can get into actually installing the hair. So the very first thing that I'm going to do is actually remove this excessive lace and then I'll talk to you guys about how I prep the skin before I actually glue it down this way, I like to cut my lace off with this type of like Razor comb, just because it gives you a nice like jagged edge to the lace, so it does make it look a lot more natural and it's not just like a straight across cut, but it's totally optional on whatever you feel comfortable with. But that's what I'm using today is this little razor comb now that the lace has been cut. This is what it looks like and you very easily could not glue it down. If you really wanted to be brave, I'm not that brave. I like to glue down my wigs. I want them to be secure if the wind blows. I don't want my wig to run away from me and that's the last thing that I want, so I will be gluing it down. You have different options of doing that. If you're looking to do like a really short term option to glue down your lace, you could just use the got to be glue ultra glue and place that on to the areas that you're trying to glue down, make sure that you let them get tacky and Settle for a little bit then place the actual base over top, and then at that point you can just go ahead and secure it and let it dry down. I prefer to use a more longer lasting glue because I like to wear my wigs between like three days, three or four days and depending on what I'm doing, I'm pretty active during the day. I don't want my glue to come loose. I like to use the bolt hold glue. This is a waterproof, really intensive. Glue only use this if you are trying to get long-term use out of your wigs like or wear it for a longer period of time, but a short period of time, and this will do it. Just really is your preference, but for today I'm actually gon na glue it down with both I mean you got to be glue it down right here, just because I really want to be nice and securing the front, and then probably they got to be glue on The side, but that's just my preference, everyone has their own preference totally. Your call, the very first thing you want to do before you do anything. As far as like gluing anything down, you want to make sure that you clean the area of the scalp where you will be gluing it. You want to make sure you clean it with isopropyl alcohol, just the skin part, not the actual hair. The other thing is nowadays isopropyl alcohol is really hard to get a hold up. That'S the case, just take a makeup, wipe and just make sure that you do like a really good scrubbing and let the skin completely dry. Before you use your glue preference once the glue is actually applied, you want to wait for it to get a little bit clear before you actually place your break down. The last thing you want to do is put it over top a really like white glue like that, because then it's gon na show through the lace and it's gon na, look really really messy, so make sure that your glue goes completely dry. If you are using the bolt hold glue now, you just want to take the lace and place it over top the glue that you put down and make sure that you do this carefully, because you really only have one chance to do this right or else it's Just going to get really really messy, I'm just going to secure the sides with the got to be glue. The reason why I choose to do this is because, if this is a lot less damaging on your actual hairline, I feel like with the bolt hold glue. You have to be very, very careful and make sure that's just on the skin alone and not in the hairline, because if it is on the hairline, it will snatch up your edges and that's not what you want, whereas the gossipy glue can easily be dissolved with Water, you just take a little bit of water and it completely comes off your hairline without any issues whatsoever. So that's just my way of doing it. You don't have to do it my way, but I just want to preserve my hair and keep it healthy as much as I can, but to melt that lace even more into the skin and to get a really good hold. Normally, you could just use a regular silk scarf and tie it around the Blaise perimeter and tie it down nice and tight and let it dry down and then you'll get like a really nice melted effect. I personally like to use at these. These are a little wrap. Theses are nice and a little stretch to them and they secure on to the lace really nicely and when you do remove them, they give you a nice like clean, reveal you don't really get any white marks or anything like that left from the glue. I just find that these are just a lot more helpful for me, but you could use a silk scarf if you wish as well. You could get these from your local beauty supply store and I just wrapped it around the lace area. Now, I'm just I wait for the glue to dry, and normally this takes about like 30 minutes or so and then you're good to go. You could also speed up the process by taking like a cool blow dryer and blow drying that area normally. For me, I usually put my wigs on first before I put on my makeup, but for this video I just wanted to look a little bit more presentable, but normally what I would do is just apply my wig first and while it's on my makeup, it usually Is done by the time I'm done applying my makeup? That'S probably because it takes me about 40 minutes, but just saying that's also. The way that you can do this great thing with wigs is that you can wear them short term or you can wear them for longer. Options just depends on the type of glue that you've used. The bullet old glue technically can like stay up to a week. If you really wanted to just because it's waterproof but I'd like to let my hair breathe and I usually change my hair style so often to be honest - that it doesn't happen for me that long, but it is possible and if you do that, got to be Glue method, then it would probably be about like two days at most, just because it's not really as strong to hold. In my opinion, leave the wig installation was really really easy to understand. Now, as for styling tips, the one thing that I would recommend is whenever you decide to part your hair, wherever you decide to part it, because this is a lace front tool, you could actually part it all the way from up to here. You could part any you know in between any parts or sections in the hair, which is really really nice, so you can actually change your part whenever you feel like. I really enjoy a side part. So that's what I actually did today now to flatten out your wig. You want to make sure that you put some mousse on the very top I'll go ahead and insert a picture of the mousse that I like using. But all I do is take the foam. Mousse and push it into the actual top part of the hair, and then I comb the hair down and wrap it really tight. So you get a really really flat wig and it's nice and flush other important stuff. Is that once you have your part, you want to make sure you define that part to make it look like scalp and all you do is take a flat brush that looks like this. You can dedicate you know a hairbrush or whatever the case may be, and you take a little bit of concealer. I like using a my Mac pop concealer. I use NC 35 because it's my actual natural under-eye concealer, it's totally up to you, guys use the appropriate concealer for you. You want to make sure you don't use a concealer, that's too like wet or runny. You want to use something. That'S a little bit more. Like a paste or a little bit more thicker and then you go in and you define a big part area and make sure that you stay, you know try to be as neat as possible. You don't want to get it on the hair strands, and then you can just diffuse it. A little bit with the brush. Making sure to stay in that line will allow the parting space to look like scalp, which is super super important for those that are wondering a little bit about how I bleach this. I did insert a video of what I use essentially the powder bleach and mixin with a 40 volume developer, and I left it in the hair for about 25 minutes and actually did pull to this color. I only bleached it when skies and I managed to get to this color you whate wares out there. You know how challenging that is. So I'm pretty impressed overall, with the quality and, like I mentioned before, the hair still has a lot of body has a lot of movement. It doesn't feel stiff or anything like that, so very, very impressed about how that turned out. Now, I'm not really a huge baby hair fan and for those who don't know what I'm talking about I'll show you what I mean at the perfect brush for baby hairs. You can buy this at your local beauty store and all you would do is section out like little fine bits of hair they're a little bit more shorter and you would create like a wave pattern. Um and that's totally up to you. I will show you how to do that using a little bit of got to be glued to create my baby hairs, because this will hold it and it actually won't get crusty or white. The only thing is, you need to use a very, very little product. You don't want to overdo it, because that's going to make your baby hairs, look like really flaky and like a little bit more crustier and nobody wants us to baby hairs. That completes this tutorial and I hope that you found it informative and helpful. If you did. Please give it a thumbs up and let me know down below if you like, wearing wigs with maybe colorful wigs just for fun or whether you like wearing wigs for everyday. I would love to hear your thoughts below and any different hair companies that you really really like as well. Today'S tutorial is all about how to apply a lace, frontal, wig on and actually for the next. Like quick video, I will be doing a closure, which is a little bit different. It'S a different type in the front, so I will show you how to apply in those types of wigs as well, but be sure to be on the lookout for that. So I had such a blast being able to do this hair tutorial for you all on today's video be sure to check out Abbie's hair on Aliexpress. I will leave all their information down in the link below. CandyDenise: Love your channel!!!! You’re sweet & positive!!! Great makeup advice and tutorials.

Michelle Lydic: Here's a tip for those who wear synthetic wigs, you can steam them to get out the tangles. If there is wave or curl in your wig the steam will remove it and become straight. However, this isn't a problem since I like wearing straight hair. The steam will not hurt or ruin your synthetic wig. I've been doing this for several years and I'm able to make mine last 8-9 months.

Brandy Jessee: @glamwithsuzan, thank you so much for this video it was very informative and helped me a lot. I shaved my head a few months back due to coloring damage and I have been wearing wigs until my natural hair grows back out, I do have a question though how do you fix the problem of a bulky wig on the crown area? Could I be wearing it to right or not tight enough? Also some of the wigs that own that have a fixed part seem really bulky in the part area, how can I fix that? Any tips or tricks would be dearly appreciated!! Thank you sooo much! As always I love watching your videos and all the content you put out!!

Anastasia Harrison: Great video! If you have a full lace wig, I would love to see a video of an installation.

CandyDenise: Love your channel!!!! You sweet & positive!!! Great makeup advice and tutorials.
