Hi you guys it's me sai with sidestyle wigs today, i'm going to do a wig install. I have come to realize a lot of people actually are so used to lace top wigs. They don't know how to install a traditional lace front. So today, i'm going to show you how to install a lace front uh without glue and with glue today we're gon na use got to be glue. I like to use the spray um, but today this is all i have so we're gon na use this today. I'M gon na use a blow, dryer use my silicone wood grip and then, if you want that extra coverage, you can have a concealer ready that matches your scalp. This one is pretty white, like my scalp and then i have a makeup brush and i'll. Show you guys how to utilize this all these tips and tricks are on my youtube channel. All you have to do is go on youtube and type site style, wic artistry, and it will link you up to all my educational videos on how to properly install wig. Like i said, this is not a debate or juggling about how how you would do it or anything everyone has their own ways, and this is how i find that works best for me. You could do it your way or you could use this as a starter. Video so first thing: first, i have my hair in a low bun. It is shampoo day today. So after this wig install, i can't wait to shampoo my hair, so i like to use this because it pretty it's pretty close to my scalp color and, like i said, if you guys well, i didn't say this yet, but if the um wig grip is too Light of a complexion or too dark you can always just go ahead and just put foundation right over it. Okay, so i like to keep it right there. Sometimes i like to have it even closer, so it goes right underneath my bun, okay, a wig grip for those that don't know it pretty much prevents the wig from sliding back and i like to use the silicone wood grip versus the fabric, just because it just Works a little bit better for me, i have to say it does cause a little bit tension around the hairline. So if your your hairline's a little bit sensitive, i would use the fabric version, but i'm going to show you guys on how it works. So this is our base, client collection. This is miss brownie, i'm trying to make this video as quick as possible, because i am losing daylight and um. This wig is a glueless wig. Okay, you guys the glueless wig, meaning i don't need any glue to put this on. It. Come with this elastic band for those that don't know what the plastic band is it hooks onto the wig and it actually attaches right underneath um, it goes right b and behind your head and what it does is it co. It creates tension to the front of the hairline on the lace and then it prevents the lace from lifting. So you get a glueless application, so it pretty much mimics what uh? What glue would do to your for your wig? So there's these white slots that go into the wig, so i'm just gon na put this right in there. I personally, don't i wear um. I wear the band once in a while, but honestly the wig grip alone. Does it for me. So i don't use this all the time unless i'm going to be out for a very long time, so this band goes right, underneath your head right, underneath your bun and this wig grip is just extra security. So i'm going to go right in like this i'll pull back like that, and then i'm gon na take the comb that is underneath. That is all the way back there and i'm gon na hook that comb right underneath my bun or you can hook it right. Underneath the silicone and from there this wig is a literally glueless, so that elastic strap that i just showed you guys is keeping this lace tight against my head. So it is like not going anywhere so it's laying flat, but for those that want extra coverage, you can go ahead and use the glue. Let me show you guys on how to use the glue real quick. Honestly, i don't glue my units down it's just it's just more um cleaning to do more, washing out the glue more rubbing on the material in the front like the lace - and you know that's when you rub too much, you get fraying you get. You loosen the knot, so i just like to keep it simple and i don't even put glue on my lace, but today i'm going to show you guys how it's done disclaimer out there. This is raw footage from my camera. This is not yet edited. I'M not editing out my hairline or filtering. I just want to show you guys on how the hairline looks. This is gently bleached knots, so it's not completely transparent but, as you can see, as i get even closer to the camera, you can barely see it and that's another way. You can keep longevity to your wigs by not over bleaching the nuts so before we start that i'm going to go ahead and do the concealer method real quick. So i'm going to take this concealer because we're running out of daylight - and i am just going to it's hard to do it on and look in the camera so bear with you guys so i'll just go ahead and do like this. You know some people, don't like this method. For me, it's i don't like it with it. I don't like to put it on, but i just want to show you guys little details to define your part a little bit more and i just blur it in right. There and then you get from far away you get like a almost like a defined scalp look make sure you get something that matches your scope, so we're going to move on to the gluings part, i'm going to take a little bit. This got to be glue. All right and honestly, i like to use the aerosol can because it just you, can just spray it on, but this is this works too and i usually will have clip. But today i am at home and i don't have any clips and just put it exactly where you would this um lace is going to be laying down. So it's really hard to see what i'm doing. I don't want to glue my own bio hair down. You guys - and this just gives you the extra coverage you can see. I have old glue. I haven't washed this one yet and what you're gon na do i'm gon na take the end of this brush and i'm just gon na hold it down like that. I always tell people that are getting new into wigs, that it is a lifestyle. It is something that you learn over time, your first time putting on a wig. It'S not gon na, be like. Oh, my god, i'm a pro. You find tips. You find friends in their community that have extra tips for you. I have videos all over youtube that you guys can see as well and gluing it down just allows me extra security. I think i need to put more glue right here actually and, like i said you guys, don't have to go this extra mile by using the glue unless you want a really um secure. Look and you just want to make sure that no lace is showing you could do it this way. There'S millions other ways to do this, but this is my way. This is actually the lazy way and we're gon na do that and we're gon na take our blow dryer and we're gon na blow dry. It we're gon na hold it down with the brush like this and we're gon na blow dry it and let that glue dry for those that are new to wigs got to be glue is not technically a glue. It'S just a spiking hair gel, but you know over time people have utilized it as a hair glue because it's less harsher than the actual glue like um lace, adhesive itself. I find that when i use lace of adhesive, it's so hard to get off the lace that it ends up fraying and stretching the lace too much, especially hd lace. This is the hd lace, so um you have to be very gentle it. So let me go ahead and plug this in and show you guys what i'm gon na do. Okay, so i got my blow dryer plugged in and all i'm gon na do is take the tip of this brush on the other side and just hold down where i glued it, and i am gon na um blow with the blow dryer. This is a travel size, so it doesn't have a temper control. But if you have one that is temple, control, make sure you're doing like something medium cool, warm hot, actually melts the gel more and it makes it look. It takes longer to dry, so something cool and just like that. What glowing down the temple areas and the ear areas just gives you more of a like a pulled back like how your bio hair would be able to do, and you don't have to be afraid of. Oh, my god, my lace is lifting up and you can tuck it back like that. This is real time. I didn't glue this part right here, but this is just a little demo and then obviously i would do the same thing on this side now, if you really want like a seamless effect, you can go ahead and glue the whole perimeter of the lace, but so Basically, that is how you install a lace front. This goes for any brand you're, getting it from our traditional lace front. This is hd lace and, and up close you guys, so you can see that foundation really helps with the scalp appearance and when the wind blows it'll, look something like this hope.
