Hey guys, what's up, and today i have a very special video, because i got this new beautiful lace, front, silk, top wig and today i'll be cutting the lace and what i like to do, and some tips and tricks for you guys. But this beautiful piece is from serenity, wigs. She is a custom colored, so i'll put the information of the very talented hair stylist that did this rooting and some highlights or baby lights in this wig and i'm just super excited because it's similar to my hair color. I got my hair and a little um bun ponytail going on right now, but i love this wig, i'm a size, small in serenity and it fit amazing like perfect. So i'll show you guys what it looks like before. I cut the lace, so here's the wig. I just curled it and look at this volume there's also layers in it. I love the little like highlights in the very front on the face framing. I just really love this wig, it's one of my favorites and i just really think the color complements my tones and i love the density. It'S not too heavy, it's light, but you get volume and the hair super soft, and this is what it looks like before. I cut the lace, it's sitting pretty snug to my head and you can see the lace front on here and what i'm gon na do is just cut it around here and you can also do it in sections. Some people cut it from the middle and then they start from the close to the ear. For me what i like to do with lace fronts, i use my t-pins. What looks like this - and i just put this in my mannequin head - to hold the wig still and then also i like to use a clip. Any clip is fine. This is more of my accessory clips, but anything big to hold the hair back. So you don't cut any hair that you want on the sides and then, of course, any scissors i like to use like smaller ones. You can do a straight line or more jagged line. It just really depends on what you like. I prefer a little jagged line to help the wig sit and blend a little better when you put it on, but i'm super excited to share this video and then my last tip, depending on your preference, you can either cut the lace on your head, so some People like to cut it when the wig is on them or you can have a mannequin head, which i prefer and i can see a little better and have both of my hands on there as well. It'S really up to you, but you really want it sitting on a head or mannequin or any like round surface, where it's saying the flattest, where the lace is gon na be like shaped to your head. So what i like to do is i first grab the section closest to my ear and i give it a little twist and then i grab my clip that i talked about and just pin the hair back most as secure as possible. So it allows me to cut the lace without me: cutting any extra hair that i would want to keep. Then i'm just going to come in here and start closer to where the lace starts and then i'm going to cut around it, and i can go back as well and i keep it on the mannequin like i said so, it keeps keeps the hair that i Want and i'm close to the hairline, you can see that i didn't cut as close, because i can go back in here. Also. Another tip i would like to share is that you can create your own hairline by using tweezers, pluck any extra hairs that you don't want, or you can create, depending where the part is, and you can also have little baby hairs, because sometimes when you have a Little baby hair sticking out it looks more natural, so i just finished cutting the lace and i think it turned out really well. This is what it looks like on the top and i plucked out some of my um baby hairs that were right here, just because i like to pluck a little that where the part starts, i think it just looks more natural and that's what the look i Like to go for um, this is what it looks like on the sides, and i pulled out some of my own hair down here and it's what it looks like on this side. I think it looks really natural. I really like the feel of this wig. It'S gripping to my head really good and what's really cool about this wig, it works with my wig grip as well. Sometimes i don't like to use any clips at all. No comb, i have a really sensitive scalp and my hair is so frail and delicate. I don't want anything pulling on it because it will fall out if it does, but i love the color and it just really works and i'm really impressed. This is like the first lace front, wig from like ear to ear that works. For me. I don't know why i think i have a really small head and sometimes it can like kind of bunch up or it's just too big, but i really love this color on me and i really love the feel of this wig. The lace was successful. I get really nervous and i know it can be intimidating to cut a lace front wig just because wigs can be really expensive and you don't want to mess it up, and i know you can't return it after. Sometimes they can come cut for you, but this one i cut myself and i'm really impressed. I really like the coloring. I like the hairline. I think it looks really natural, so i'll also put the information for serenity, wigs and their instagram down below in the amazing hairstylist that did this wig um and i hope you guys have an amazing day. I hope this video was helpful for you guys. I know i didn't show too much on camera, because i am nervous cutting lace too. I know i think this is the third wig and i still feel like. I have a lot to learn, but i really did personalize the hairline by plucking my own hairs out. If you like this video, please give it a thumbs up and comment down below any questions.
