Stop Ripping Out Your Edges! | How To Properly Remove A Lace Frontal Install

Yo, what is up y'all? It'S your girl, young afrikaner reporting, live from the gutter um. Today, i'm going to be showing you guys how i remove my lace: frontal installments, my wig installments. If you have not checked my ultimate lace melt video on how to properly melt your lace go ahead and check that that will be in the description box below, but i've had this install in for an entire seven days. This is the longest. I'Ve ever had an install in period, because you know your girl is always just constantly doing hair reviews and stuff, but i specifically wanted to keep it on for this long. Just because i wanted to show you guys how to take it down and overall just show you guys how to take off a wig that you've had on for a week plus. You know because it's a lot different, taking a wig off um a week plus versus you just taking it off the next day after you did it. Yes, you guys it's been an entire seven days. Look this wig ain't going nowhere. There is zero lifting zero. I'M really tugging at it. Look i'm literally tugging at it. Zero lifting! So my method on how to melt lace. Do work, go check that out, so i'm going to show you guys how i take off my install. So if you want to see how i take off my installs then keep on watching first things. First, whenever you are ordering your lace adhesives, you always want to make sure that you just buy the entire kit if the company does sell it. So the company that will be featuring today is the erica j hold me down adhesive and um. So i already have the skin guard the adhesive and then also the laid off adhesive remover. Okay, so we're going to go ahead and use this, and this is just simply a solvent that you put on your lace, so we're going to apply it on our legs. I'M just going to spray that around the hairline just make sure not to get it in your eye and it's gon na start dripping. So just touch your head back a little bit and i'll just rather you just buy whatever the whole entire kit, because every glue is made differently from different manufacturers and sometimes just mixing and matching um. You know um products that you know don't necessarily work. It won't work for you at all. It won't so i'm just spraying that around my hairline make sure it's nice and saturated and then i'm just gon na, let that sit for a good five minutes. Okay, now you wan na make sure that you just let this sit and don't rub it in this product is built to just eat up the glue and kind of just like break up the glue. So you want to let it sit like you, don't want to rub it in because then you're just rubbing the product all over the place and like it's, it's just not going to work for you. So just let this sit y'all, let it see it grills. I'M going to spray a little bit more just so it's nice and saturated - and i just like to get in the hairline as well, because there's definitely glue up there definitely glue up there so boom. Now i let that sit five minutes just so it could break off the glue and i'll be back all right, you guys, so i actually let it sit longer. I'M not going fry um, because i was on the phone and stuff. So i kind of let it sit for like a good 35. 40 minutes. You know nothing crazy, but yeah i mean i feel like the longer you leave it on anyways. The more the glue will dissolve so now we're going to go ahead and take it off. So and y'all can see, look it just lifts up easily like that it just slipped off right there boom, just like that and as y'all could see. This is like kind of like the little residue that we got going on. For the most part, the glue is on my skin. This is the residue, and if you want to get out the residue too, you could still spray the whole me down remover and just spray it on the hairline. I don't have that much glue on this would be to really clean clean. Like that, i don't know. If you can see, that's literally how it looks, it's barely really any glue. To be honest, so i just spray some of the whole me down remover and just let that sit for a little bit and then i'm just going to go in with um a towel and then just you know, do my magic there all right. But now that's off boom, as you guys can see, i don't have no rashes or anything or nothing of the sort. You know we got the wig cap method going on. It'S still stuck on here. I know some people be reusing, their wig caps right after install. I don't do that, though, because i feel, like that's kind of it's a little nasty but to each of them to eat this out. Okay, all right so now on to taking off the rest of the glue of your faux head. All right, i'm gon na go in with my rag. I got a spray bottle just to spray. My water, as well as my shampoo. This is a silicone mix. You can use any shampoo to be honest to do this, but right now i'm just gon na go ahead and just dampen my towel, and this is my continuous spray. I got it off at amazon with my continuous spray bottle. Okay, so i got it damp enough. I'M gon na go ahead and put some shampoo onto it all right, just for a little bit more water. This will be nice and damp all right and then i'm just going to go ahead and scrub our forehead. We just want to go in circular motions while doing this, and this is the best part about using the liquid gold as like your um, to seal your wig cap, because when you use liquid gold it only like it comes off with just water by itself. So i would definitely suggest you to just use a liquid gold and not actual glue, because it's going to be harder to get it off of your forehead. For the most part, the glue is already off my forehead. It'S just now releasing the wig cap all right. I'M gon na go ahead and spray my hairline with water just a little bit just to loosen it up a little bit more as you guys can see that that's a liquid gold turning white a little bit more shampoo, i feel like i need a little bit More lava, i'm just gon na go ahead and slice that, and just keep on doing this until it starts to come off, as you guys can see, we're already getting one side coming off, just keep on massaging it until it's literally just slipping off of your hair Boom, just like that, as you can see, my edges are still intact. The glues do not take off your edges, you do for the most part. This process is pretty simple, so see, edges are still intact. Y'All boom, just like that y'all. Oh just like that, and now just gon na go ahead and wipe off and as y'all can see, my edges are still intact. I have now one i have not lost one lick of edge. I know don't mind. This is just built up gel you guys. Please do not mind this, but yeah um. As you can see, there are my edges. They are nice in there, nice and full, and i'm gon na just go ahead and just cut off the well. It was already loose and there we have it. Ladies and gentlemen, this is how you safely remove yo lace, um adhesive installs. As you can see, my edges are still here: they're still alive, we didn't kill them and yeah there's no more glue residue on my forehead at all. So i hope you guys enjoyed this video.
