bald cap method with tape, non messy wig install

Yes, thank you so much for joining me for today's video. Today'S video. I wanted to share a new technique that i've actually just started trying out, and i thought it'd be very helpful for anyone who liked the bald cap method. But you don't want the mess from the ball cap. So today we are trying out this new technique and if you guys want all the details, you're just gon na have to watch this video completely through it's very detailed. You can't get the answers without watching so the wig that i'm working with today comes from pretty luxe hair. I will link it below in the description box. I will also put everything in today's video down below in the description box. The one thing i know for a fact with this new technique is that it's not complicated now, i'm not sure if anyone else have tried this before did their application. This way, i have no idea. I just went to ordering some things and yeah. It'S like okay. Let me try the glue i'm going to be using in today's video looks like this, but this basically is a wig. Adhesive is supposed to be natural. It only has one ingredient in it we'll talk about that later in the video, but it is a white glue. You'Ll see all of that coming up so yeah. I hope you guys find this very helpful drop me some comments. If you try out this method, definitely let me know how it worked out for you, but the whole purpose of this method is to one protect your hairline and two to make sure that your wig application is not messy, simple, alright, so yeah, let's get into this Video and i'm gon na show you how i achieve this okay, so the whole purpose of today's video is to try out this glue that i picked up and also just to try a new method with the ball cap. So, as you guys can see, i have my wig lined up on my head. I'Ve already pre-styled it, so i'm not going to show that in today's video. So, basically for me i have to keep my wig position where i want it to fall and then just kind of basically keep it on my head, because if i take it off, i promise you guys. My hairline, when i put my wig on, is going to be so wrong. Okay, so the ball cap method is usually done with hair sprays or anything like that or wig adhesive sprays, but i find that it can be a mess picked up this glue here. I'M not going to even try to pronounce the name it's going to. I most likely want to butcher it up. So this is what it looks like there. You go so this one states that it is a water-based adhesive, easy to apply no latex and it's a super bonding glue for hair systems. As far as the ingredients, it only say one ingredient and that's acrylic polymer in water. That'S it and then this right here you guys, may know about this already. This is the walker, i believe no shine. I rarely see people using tape anymore, but we're going to use it today, honey, um. What i'm going to do, and first you want to make sure your wig, like your forehead area, is cleaned. Just take a bit of alcohol. Rub it there don't go crazy, just get the extra oil off your skin, so i'm gon na pull this back and the first thing i'm going to do is cut section by section and tape it as i go. I want to protect my hair as much as possible, so i'm going to make sure where i want my wig to fall is going to line up perfectly. So i want it about right there in front of my hairline, never on my hairline. What i may do is just mark some areas right, quick, so i'm going to put a little dot there, a dot right here and another dot on this side and for my ear area, i want it to fall there and here the first thing i'm going to Do is take some scissors and create a slit right here at the edge of the cap and basically, where my ear is now normally you would cut that completely. But you don't want to do that. You just want to cut a small section, and then you want to take the tape and undo it. This tape comes apart from the middle, you just kind of pull the paper off and you have a two-sided type of tape and i'm going to place that tape right here at the edge of that cap. So, like i said, i don't want this on my hair at all, so i'm going to make sure i pull that wig cap down and then place the tape and then cut as i go, remembering to not go too far, but to cut it enough where's the Length of that tape and just press that down right there and then i'm gon na take another half and do the same exact thing. Now it's easier to peel this tape from the inside, so just peel it from the inside on one side and then do the same thing with the other. Remember to follow those dots that you placed and to pull that once you apply one piece of tape, it should stay in place. The wig cap after you cut it, but you can just pull it down just a tad bit more and then begin to place. Your tape line it up with the other piece, just tape it onto that wig cap and also your forehead area. So so don't use this huge piece unless you want to you can cut it in half and i'm just using some scissors to do that. No matter what type of scissors you use, i just i'm just using what's in front of me, okay, so once you have your tape lined up next, you want to go ahead and remove this around your forehead. So now that we have the tape on we're going to remove the paper and do this very delicately, it shouldn't be a problem getting that adhesive off. I kind of like hold the adhesive with my nail and then just pull the tape just like so now. The one great thing about this that i like is there's no mess. The hairsprays are so messy when you're applying applying it to the ball cap method that it's just crazy, like i hate the spray and just go all over the place. So this is a clean way to do the ball cap method without the mess i'm not using the tape, as my final wig application. Basically, this is just for the wig cap just to hold it in place now. The one thing i didn't do prior is: i did not color my wig cap. I didn't do that because i wasn't sure how that would affect the actual product. The tape itself um, you guys, can try it out. Let me know in the comment section if it worked out for you, so what i'm going to do now is go ahead and add the glue around the hairline over top of that tape. Now the great thing is, hopefully the removal process will be easy. I placed it down lower on my forehead so that it won't be on my hair a lot of times it's easy to get the glue off of your um skin, rather than off of your hairs, we'll see, i see i still have some edges out over here. I'M trying to go in front of that now. I i need to learn how to take that area better, because my edges down here come down further so so now i would never use the tape by itself for wig application because i feel like it don't hold. As well, it's not really that good to me, but if you apply it with you know the adhesive the glue, then you may can get it to work properly. All right, i'm gon na let this dry for a few minutes until it turned clear and then i'll be back to tell you guys how long it took for it to dry. So i'm looking up a little bit in from a little bit of information on this glue. It says natural, invisible, hair, glue for lace fronts, installations um has a strong hole, it's safe for skin and easy to remove. It contains no harmful chemicals, no latex, no ear. Tint and say it's waterproof and or resistant shake. Well, i forgot to shake it didn't know. I need to do that when the first coat becomes transparent between five to ten seconds. It'S definitely been longer than five to ten seconds, but i do still see a little bit of white spots. It'S been about maybe 50 seconds right about now apply the wig glue to the coating and repeat three times after applying the fourth layer. Wait four to seven minutes for the wig glue to completely cure, so i'm not going to apply that many layers. I just i i can't like i've already applied two layers. That'S the most you're gon na get from me. But if you guys want to you know strong stronghold, definitely go for that drying. Pretty clear. I don't know if you guys can see it's drying really clear and, as you can see, my hairline is back here, so i have it on my forehead for all my girls with big forehead space or just forehead space. It comes in handy trust. I may go in with another layer. One thing i don't want is it to be uncomfortable? I don't like my wig application to be uncomfortable and tight feeling, so i think i'm just leave it as it is. So let it dry for like two minutes and then i'm going to press it down. Okay, so, as you can see, it's completely clear, there's not even little bits of white spots on here now the tape says no shine, but i'm definitely seeing shine. Kind of make me wonder like what the glue would be like, but it don't matter. Let'S go ahead and apply this down. You can always test it by using your finger and just kind of tapping it. I should go back. I'M gon na go in with one more layer. I know i'm very decisive right now, but i'm gon na go in with one more layer. It is glue just so i can make sure i'm getting a hold with the glue and not just the tape, because i know for a fact. This tape is not going to hold that good by itself. So so it's very very tacky right now, so i'm gon na go ahead and apply it make sure your hairline is lined up correctly. I like to pull the wig from the back, give it a little bit of room, so we can come forward and then just press it down. Oh instant, hold you guys instant. If you can try not to pull that wig application up because you don't want it to turn white, just lay it down. I have a lump. Oh gosh, okay, so that's what i didn't want to happen, but it happened. So i'm trying to press it out with my comb, yeah press it down. The sleigh band is going to come in handy, so get your sleigh band honey and put that over top of that hairline instantly and let it sit and try to put it as tight. As possible without being uncomfortable, i'm gon na go ahead and remove this sleigh band. We'Re gon na see what the hairline looks like. Hopefully, everything is laid. I can't tell you this. I'M gon na give you guys a detailed review once i get this wig application together. So keep on watching if you want to see so far, everything feels great the glue. Definitely grabbed really well um. So we're going to just take a look and see what the hairline is. Looking like it's been about 25 minutes, yeah about 25, 30 minutes and the hair is absolutely gorgeous. I am feeling these curls i'm gon na comb them out in a second so that they can kind of loosen up. But let me move this out the way. First. Push this back just clip this hair out the way, so we can take a look at the hairline and if you guys have any other hair glues, you want me to test out and try drop it down below. In the comment section, i can test some out for you that looks good. That looks so good. I just need to clean up the hairline a little bit get these baby hair. Oh my god that looks so good. It feels so comfortable. Why have nobody talked about this glue? Have you guys heard of this glue before drop me some comments, because i have heard nobody talk about it, or maybe i've been sleeping underneath a rock or something um hold on. Let me get my brush and let's just brush these baby hairs back up out of the glue, and i did not tweeze this hairline at all. Oh, the area right here that was raised is flat like very flat, which is great, because i was hoping that slay band pressed it. It'S still like, if you can, if you can feel you can feel something right there, but it's definitely pressed into that glue now. So that's a good thing and the hairline does not feel sticky. It actually feels really great now what you could do, also, if you want to get those hairs out, is just take a little bit of alcohol, not too much. Now you take too much. You might end up with a with lifting, but you can squirt a little alcohol on your brush, wipe it off a little bit and then just go in with them with the brush to loosen up those hairs out of the glue. That'S my alarm clock y'all. I am filling this hairline right now. It looks so good. I actually want to tie it back down just for a second, so i'll, be right back with you guys. I'Ve already like cleaned the hairline up a little bit added a little tiny bit of baby hair. So i just want to kind of press everything, so i'm going to tie it down for 10, more minutes and i'll be back with you guys in a second all right. So this is what the end result looked like. Let me show you guys a close-up of this hairline. This looks so good. It feels so comfortable. I am highly impressed with the tape method for the ball cap, like i said hairsprays and the got to be sprays for the ball cap method is so messy and just ah it's a mess. Okay, but my wig application looks and feels so good. I'M curious to see how it does over the next couple of days. If i have room in this video, i may insert some clips over the next couple of days, even though you guys see videos coming out, i do be wearing my wigs longer. I just choose one that i want to wear for a week or so, and i just filmed that video last but so far i don't see any shine and it's crazy, because when i applied that tape down, i thought for sure that the tape would leave that Shiny residue that i was seeing, but i don't know if applying this over top of it had any effect, but i like it, i do i like it a lot yeah. The hair is looking very nice. I did some curls to it and it just looks so good, so you guys this katelyn. I think that's how you pronounce it glue. I am just really loving everything right now and my hairline does not feel sticky, like i thought for sure. It would feel sticky to the touch, and i think that's what caused your hairline to really get messy is when it's still sticky. This glue definitely is drying without that sticky, tacky feeling - and that's a great thing, that's a great thing. So hopefully i can get a good wear out of it. Um if you guys want me to update on it something throughout my week, because i plan on wearing this wig for at least a week. Oh, my god, look at them curls, though jeez so pretty so very pretty so soft. I hope you guys found this helpful. I will see you back in my next video be sure to drop a comment like and subscribe.

Tina Wool: Looks just like your scalp, I love this method too. Beautiful as usual!

Dominican Kandie: I agree with @Holla At The KI D, next time place the tape down first, then pull the wig cap over the tape, then cut the cap. I also believe doing it that way would help eliminate the shine from the tape. I'm so glad I didn't throw my lace tapes away. Just got a new unit I'm anxious to put on. I'm definitely going to try this out. Tfs S/N- I've recently learned from Ms. Tamika the owner of The Hair Diagram, that using those hair sprays on our skin isn't good becuz the contain famaldahide. We don't need that ish seeping into our skin. The method you showcased today is definitely safer. Also, it's advised not to use alcohol on our skin becuz it could burn the layers of our skin, which could cause irritations. A good suggested substitute is Sea Breeze. I've been using Sea Breeze for years, and it's never caused me any skin problems. I'm just sharing a bit of great helpful knowledge. Ms. Tamika has 30 yes in the hair business, 20 yrs experience with hair replacement (wig applications). I highly suggest watching her videos. We're never too old, nor experienced to learn something new
