It'S Asian, Oh herro, from season 10 of those calls drag race, and today I am teaching you how to do Asia's wig security. So like that girl, this is Asia's wig security. Okay, it's gon na. Take us six steps to keep our wigs on tight, not get our edges snatched and make sure she will last the entire evening. Okay, one two three four five, six ready, let's go! First step is, of course, we're gon na use some duct tape. I like to start at the back right here. You come up and around your ear, then right across the top up front of the ear again and to the back, and it does not hurt it. All coming off and if it did, who cares so we've got that all nice and tight, then you're gon na take she's kind of giving you a little bit of the muppets take Compton. But you know: that's alright! We'Re gon na pop her on, like so, and we're gon na take a couple Clips and get all her extra nests get on girl get. I don't want. She talked back to you. You clip that hoe back honey. That was step. Oh Laura one yeah, we'll call that step one two bobby pins: okay, one black one, vlog it doesn't matter what color they aren't just happen to grab two. There were opposite colors and you're gon na pin through the hair like this, with the little lip part facing your head grab the duct tape and you slide it right on whose same thing on the other side got your little lippy part down like this grab the Hair, like this see how you grab a big chunk of the hair and you're gon na go straight into the duct tape. Now you're gon na do one more right square in the back. It'S a warm in here Tanisha. What are you doing to me? Giving you extra that was step. Two. The duct tape is step. One. Your bobby pins are step two step. Three take your spirit, gum push yourself, a good glob and you're, going to generously spirit gum. This whole section here, then we're gon na kind of go back and forth between step three and step four Cass step. Four is a blow job. You'Re gon na blow drive this on cool. Then you're going to pull your lace down over it, hold that down and blow dry uncool, just kind of continue to press that down while you're blow-drying same thing across the front. Here. We'Re gon na take your lace position that right down over your spirit, gum and blow try again, I'm cool girl best part of being a drag queen, walking around target with gunky hair step. Three and four are done. We can remove our little clip Eclipse now that she's kind of knows what's going on and she knows who the boss, you can kind of unclip the hoe a little bit. These things always get stuck on this side because we got it now. We'Ve got steps one through four done step. Five, we're gon na get two more of your little pins and you're gon na pin right on the sides same thing as before: we're going down through the wig tip there and you're going to grab your duct tape like you're that turn your pan upwards. So push hey step, six is to take your spirit, gum and you might have a couple of little Ripley's a little Ripley's. Believe It or Not. You can see here. I'Ve got some Ripley's. All you got ta do girls, take a little bit more of your spirit, gum and just kind of sneak that up under there, where you've got your Ripley's girl you'll be fine, it might not be pretty, but URI you're gon na be moving like I'm sure it Came up on this one time, so that's why I'm just like posing right here with my handheld, so girl, will you finish your number and if it came up you yeah. EmpathNaga: A COUPLE OF TIPS FROM WATCHING WAY TOO MUCH MADEYEWLOOK: You can also use body-safe liquid latex if the spirit gum is not available or for whatever reason just doesn't work. Conversely, if you are allergic to latex, spirit gum works well. Spirit gum requires a special remover. Don't try to just rip your wig off. Your hair will come with it. After you apply your spirit gum, tap it with your finger a few times. This makes it extra sticky and tacky. When you have to actually pull to get your finger off the spirit gum, it's ready. Spirit gum is flammable. Don't ask me how I know that. =|

MommyOfZ&L: I thought spirit gum was the adhesive you had to tap to make tacky and pros aide was the latex based one that air dries (hence the blow drier). Can anyone confirm if I'm right or wrong? I know there is an adhesive out there for prosthetics and wigs that needs to be tapped, or maybe I'm confused....I'm an amateur face painter and I've been watching a lot of things about body painting and prosthetics trying to expand my skills and maybe I'm mixing up info.
