Hi guys it's Clyde and welcome back to my channel today is gon na, be another wig styling video on obviously what I'm wearing right now. Let me just preface this by saying I realize I look like my Goomba lupa tutorial. I really didn't think this through, but this style is it's a little similar to my big sexy drag hair tutorial, like it's kind of become my go-to style, except here we have a little modification. I just have like this part right here. That'S slicked back a little vintage. Inspired that again, do I really know what I'm talking about? No, this gorgeous great wig, which I'm still getting used to. I look like a mix between like a golf check and a head of broccoli. It'S from powder room D, I'll link it down below if you're interested, but if you want to see how I style this hair, then just keep watching alright guys. So this is a wig we are starting with. You might recognize it from my previous videos I and plucking your hair line if you want to check that out. So the first thing I'm gon na do with this hair is curl it which, if it comes already kind of curly, is not fully necessary. But this comes straight, so I'm gon na curl it with my wire mesh, rollers and I'll do that kind of in time-lapse, alright guys. So I fully put the wig up in rollers. These are wire mesh rollers. I always get questions about these I'll, put a link in the description. If I can, I think they're just in like an inch in diameter, but this is what some, what your weight should look like by now now I'm gon na set these in place with some hot steam, so I have the steam going on underneath the bag, so That the purpose of the bag is to keep the heat as close as possible to the wig head without escaping, and I'm gon na keep it like this for, like four or five minutes and then I'll. Let this dry overnight or you can also take a blow. Dryer and put it on hot air right underneath this bag, so that it's also going around the wig to dry it and the process of steaming. The hair walls in the curlers and also letting it dry in place will change the hair from straight to curly. Wendy minutes lay down okay, so now that the hair had enough time to dry, I sped the process up with a blow dryer, but you can also just let it dry overnight. I am gon na let the hair out of the curlers and we're gon na start using thin. You know what this looks like some like Medusa type things since this week happens to be new. It is really smooth. You can run your fingers through it, which is the last thing that you want out of a wig that you're going to style. You want to backcomb it not just for the volume, but also so that it has some grit to it, some texture, so that you can do stuff to it. So you basically want to beat the crap out of it to give it some character. So I am first going to section off the front sort of band sections, because those are kind of like the most important and those are the ones that everybody sees. So I will tease these last actually. So this is the section that I'm taking starting from about here. I'M making sort of circular motions towards myself just like that down to the root of the hair and that's what you want to achieve with your back combing and if the hair stands up by itself. That'S exactly what you want now. The idea behind teasing is always to create sort of this ball of fluff right at the roots, and I find that the circular wrist motion really helps with that, because what you don't want to do is just make the hair all ratty like this. What you want to create is sort of this cloud, and that is what's gon na give that cushion to the hair that will give it the height like we're. So it's sort of like we're creating air pockets in the hair, and that is what makes it look. So big, it's also important to take a section - that's really wide, so that it really responds to the brush but really flat, so that there's not that much hair in it like I'll show you like, I'm not gon na, take a section, that's just sort of like A circle like cylindrical, I'm gon na take a section that is a little bit flatter and a little bit wider like this see not the kind of suction you want to tape, and the teasing is a lot more effective. I find now it's pretty much the same for the rest of the wig, so I'm just going to go ahead and do the entire head of hair. Ok! So now we've got this entire head of hair teased, except, like I said that small section in the front that we sectioned up but before I address this, I'm gon na smooth the rest of this hair out because it looks crazy. But that's what it should look like if you've done a good job teasing your hair, so I'm actually using the same brush that I'm teens the hair with and I'm first going to find where I want it to part the hair. I think I wanted to do it right about here, so I'm gon na split that as much as I can and brush away from it on both sides. Now, if you feel the hair kind of getting too flat for your liking, you can always just tease it back up and add some more back combing to the roots of it, which is what I would like to do right here, but Dad you want to smooth It out, I kind of placed my hand down at the base as an anchor so that when I smooth the rest of it from here to the tip it's not pulling at the base, because the base is that cushion that we need for the lift and the Volume so well, I have my hand down there. I'M doing this, so it already kind of looks smoother. You see now on this side, I'm going to be doing the same. I'M not fully smoothing everything out and sculpting it, because, obviously I'm not even done because I haven't touched this - I'm just smoothing the majority of it so that it's not this huge fur ball anymore and that I can see what's going on so now. This is what we've got to work with now. I'M gon na work on this front section so here before I do anything I'm splitting the hair, where I want that part to happen now on this side of the part, I'm not gon na tease as much as I normally would. I want to give it that grit in that texture, but I don't want the lift from it, because this is a part that we're gon na sweep right back over our here. So I don't really need to make volume out of this, but I'm still back combing, because in order for it to really respond to my bobby pins and to the hairspray, it can't just leave this sleek brand-new fresh out of the bag hair. It needs to have that grit and texture to it. So that's what the back combing is for here. So this section that I just flipped out of the way is that section that we're putting back behind out here now for the rest of the hair. I'M gon na join it with this big pouf that I have going on up there. So I'm choosing to the base, so I am just gon na now, smooth it and I'm just brushing away from the hairline out like that, anchoring it with my hands. So now that I have the height that I like and really being gentle with it. So I don't deflate it anymore, using my hand as a guide to tell me where I've already brushed out so that, where I place my hand I only brush from there down once I like the way it is like you can see, this still isn't fully really Sturdy, but once I can kind of sculpt it to the way that I like it, I'm gon na use my clips to hold it in place now that I, like this bank, part right here I'll deal with this side. So so we've got here this front section of hair and it's actually kind of like a little triangle from the part down to the ear and up to a couple of inches past apart. So that's the front section that I have right here and then I've got another little section of hair up here, right behind it and what's gon na happen is I'm gon na take this and then I'm gon na place it back this way and then use this Top hair to cover it, so that's, what's gon na create that slicked back, look right there! So, in order to do that, you want to fully brush this out right here so that it looks nice and smooth and then you're, just gon na use a shit-ton of bobby pins to hold it back and the way I like to do them. I kind of make little X's with it so place. It diagonally like that, and then my next bobby pin is gon na go in like this way, and if you really wanted to care, you can do third, one right down the middle next I'll do one right above it and then I'll do one more all right And then I'm just gon na hairspray that in place and then the top part that we meant to have hiding it. We can let down, and you see that just hides it nice and beautifully. So we can just brush it out blend it with the rest of the hair down here. Now that I see this, I kind of want to pull back this hair right here too looks weird right there. So, let's pull that back as well. That looks a lot better. People always ask me what to do the ends when they get a little bit frizzy and they can get frizzy, because the teasing that happened up there has been brush all the way down to the ends. All I do is I take my brush. I know it's a different brush, it's just a little wig brush. All you have to do is just brush the ends, just nice and smooth, and I brush them into my hands. I find that sort of helps a little bit and then that's sort of the last finishing touch I'll do to this wig all right. So I'm pretty much done with the whole thing. The last thing I'm gon na do is just freeze the entire thing, with hairspray and a blow dryer on low heat and then pretty much it for this tutorial all right. So this is how the finished hair turned out. You can wear it like this, so you can kind of like off-the-shoulder as if this is like two hairstyles. It'S literally just moving one piece of hair, but this is kind of like a moment. It'S very Hollywood Jessica, Rabbit except like me, I paired it with a screen, lipstick and lip gloss from NYX. I used to wear experimental lip colors like all the time, not so much anymore. I feel like they just make me look like intimidating and unapproachable. It'S not the look I'm going for anymore, but once in a while, it's nice to experiment, let me give you one quick tip when putting on a wig like this. If you have lace, that's like super visible, usually I like to like cover my lace with, like my hair. So it's not really a big deal, because I don't like doing the whole process of gluing down my lace. It really affects the wear and tear of the wig, but when I do, if I'm not like dancing around in that case, I'll use like something stronger like pros-aide, for what I'm just wearing a wig like to be casual I'll use, hairspray to actually secure down the Lace, let me zoom in alright zoom and [ __ ] iMac lockable. Actually, don't not that much you're gon na wear hairline like this, where the lace is very visible through their commitment. I recommend that you cut down the lace as much as possible but to glue it down. Like I said, if it was something more serious, I would use like a serious adhesive like pros-aide or spirit gum, but when you don't really need it to stay on that much and you just want the lace not to be lifted. You can just use hairspray. It'S kind of weird like spraying, it's so close to your face, but you coulda just use this as your adhesive and then I'll just use a blow dryer to kind of speed up the drying process so that it's nice and tacky and after a couple of seconds, It'Ll really just help the lace stick down to your head, I'll use like the end of a brush or something so my fingers don't get like disgusting and sticky, but yeah. This is a really quick, like on the spot way to adhere your lace down to your face without using like a super-strong glue, because a really strong glue it can kind of like damage the lace in the long run and hairspray is a little bit more mild Than that now, if I was a good drag queen, I would do it like from ear to ear securing the entire lace but like this is really the only part that I'm trying to flex but yeah. That'S just one little thing. I thought you should keep in mind if you're gon na wear your hair in a style like this, but that's it for this video. I hope you learn something cool today and until my next video, I hope you guys are all doing well. Bye,

Luis Alvarez: Gurl the wig so good and icy Recommendation: Idk if you're using a tripod or what to put that head thing, but you should get a better one, just because I see you struggling a little with that

The Kilted Quilter: if I may add a critique. I have discovered better ways of teasing synthetic hair. I've found that teasing looks better when each section is teased the same amount of times. like teased one spot 10 times do it that many times all over. I also wouldn't recommend the hair spray on lace trick you mentioned because it will build up over time making your lace stiff and clockable. just an experienced queens 2 cents

ella marie: Oompa Loompa doopity doo

Chardonnay Lima: And your lips...

BUM BIM channel: สรุปวิกฟัง555+

Frank Bill Salanio: Sup with your mouth ate?

be humble: bro you look way better when you don’t wear makeup
