#Wigtalk#Isthereadifference #tips

Oh welcome back to my channel, I'm TIA and I upload four times a week, Tuesday, Thursday Saturday and Sunday. I do mostly synthetic wig related content here. So that's what you're looking for. Then you have found a channel for you yeah. You are you yeah. That makes sense. Today I had a special video for two reasons I am so excited to be in my little filming space. I have a filming space for when I review wigs, but I wanted a space X that I could do lives day and that I could just do these sort of wigs 101 type videos - and I made this little space up. These are my little wig heads that are mounted yeah, there's a whole video on my setup, but I got my little wigs here and my little background. I got a new ring light just for this occasion, so I'm super excited. Let'S talk about the topic at hand. I am going to do a disclaimer because I just have a feeling. I am going to get some comments and that's totally fine. I am biracial. I am half white half black. Most of my family is polish. I was born in Germany. I was born overseas. I feel like I can speak on this topic rather intelligently and also from experience being that I have lived in both worlds. So the topic for today is: is there a difference between wigs for white women and wigs for women of color, and I really did think about the answer to this topic. So, let's get into it. I feel like the answer to this question. Is yes, but really? No? And I am saying that because I feel like that in terms of marketing, there is a clear difference between what is marketed towards women of color and what is marketed towards white women Caucasian women lighter skinned women. I do feel like some of it is because there's going to be particular niches based on preferences and also hair, textures and colors, and things like, but I think unfortunately, the way that it's marketed is. If I was a white woman, I would not necessarily understand no believed if I, if I wasn't awake, where that wigs that are marketed primarily to women of color, could also work for me. I try to make sure that I indicate in my reviews now whether I feel like it could be a multicultural wig. I also make sure to describe the texture in a way that, if you're looking for a wig to mimic your natural hair, that you would understand whether or not and that that would do that, I feel like a lot of the marketing techniques are more made. For the not more because you know we're not even gon na get into a whole thing about marketing and that's the ecology behind marketing, I do feel like, though marketing, when it's separated with regard to skin color, hair texture. I do feel like on some level. It'S supposed to be for the ease of the buyer, but unfortunately, I feel like companies could actually expand their buyer market if they expanded their mind and their campaigns and things like that. We'Re not going down that rabbit hole. That'S just my two cents. I feel like companies and sites that are targeting mostly white women or Caucasian women. You'Re gon na see are gon na, be like genre. No belt rests gabor out of room D, wigs calm, uni, wigs Raquel Welch, I'm not saying that they exclusively, but their niche market is going to be more of a Caucasian. A white woman, they're gon na have a more expansive choices with regard to lighter hair colors different blonde mixes, rent Auburn's those nuances I do feel like on those sites. They are primarily marketing towards a lighter skinned woman. I might catch flack for saying this. For someone who has collaborated with Yuni wigs, who has collaborated with wigs calm, who have collaborated with companies who do have a broader range of wigs that could work for Caucasian women white women - I do feel like sometimes they do tend to be overpriced. I don't know that necessarily the quality is the same. I mean a lot of them have sort of that mono top they have a cap construction that might be desirable, especially if you have some issues with your scalp if you're going through any type of cancer treatments. If you have alopecia those mono caps tend to just be more comfortable. However, you can find the same comfort in other types of wigs. Yes, I feel like you are getting what you pay for, but the Signet acquit game is just getting better. You know all the time, so I don't necessarily feel like some of the wigs are worth what they're wanting to charge again, that's just my two cents plus I never like to buy a wig over 25 dollars. So you know that's coming from me overall, I do feel like women of color have more choices as to what is marketed to them. So many companies that I have reviewed wigs for where the marketing is primarily women of color. You have you know your Motown tres jana collection, shake-and-go hair, which is free, tres made beauty. I could go on you on Bobbie boss. I do feel like there is in terms of difference. Really, the accessibility and the marketing style is going to be more prevalent for women of color. I do think that the difference in wigs for women of color versus women, who are white or Caucasian even Asian, is going to be like texture. I think if you are looking for a wig that is going to mimic your hair texture, there are more wig companies who have textures in that textured hair, the relaxed hair, the yaki textures are going to be more natural, coarser, hair, textures curlier hair texture. So I do feel like that is more readily available. However, that's why I feel like I always indicate whether it's a multicultural option, because I think B, because you see the wig if you are a Caucasian white woman - and you see awake on someone. That is not a Caucasian white woman. I believe this is. This could be wrong, that the assumption is that that hair texture is not meant for you, because your hair would be so much different than their hair. You know, and vice versa, I think we're gon na color a little bit more flexible when it comes to just like experimenting. These are my opinions, you know, take it or leave it, but I do see that women of color, especially waiver viewers or longtime wig, wears you know they're kind of more open in terms of like I wear a wig and I don't care, I think the other Thing that's going to be any type of difference is the root color. I find that weight companies that cater more to women of color if they have like a blonde, is our blonde hair, and then they have like a routing like this one. The routing tends to be a it tends to be a number one. You can occasionally get a number four. I feel like if you're trying to blend it with your natural hair and you have darker hair. Naturally, that's great, I think, if you are someone who has naturally an auburn a blonde or even a very light brown hair, those root colors are going to be slightly problematic. I do feel like you can find those more in companies that cater towards women who are Caucasian or white, so yeah. Overall, that's my two cents on this topic. I'M really interested to open up a dialogue and see like what you think about that. I think a fortunate because I'm biracial and I think that I can wear wigs on both sides of the spectrum. I really try to do that. I really try to bring a variety of wigs to my channel just so I'm doing the best reviews and giving you the best information possible. I hope that I'm opening up some horizons in that, just because you know the model and the stock car doesn't look just like you, whether you're a woman of color or you're, a Caucasian white woman Asian woman. Just because that women doesn't look just like you does not mean that the way is not made for you or that you couldn't rock the way, I guess lay the wig or do whatever you wanted with the wig yeah. That'S what I have for you on this topic. If you have thoughts, if you have feelings, if you have things to add, go ahead and please put that down below, if you haven't subscribed, please do so. If you thanks so much I'll, see you in the next video bye

Tia Maria: DISCLAIMER: This video is for informational purposes. To open a dialogue. I pre-film and this video was planned a year ago and filmed several weeks ago. This is not about race - its about marketing disparities to educate wig buyers. I speak in generalizations to make a point - not to exclude anyone. I look forward to your comments. Thank you for watching :)

Mave: Wigs for white women are so expensive!! I know they are better quality, but my God, I can't imagine paying 500 dollars for a lacefront wig!!! I'm so happy that wigs for WOC are getting better and better. And like another commenter said, we seem to have more stylish choices than the white girl units. I just wish they would offer different cap sizes, as I have a big head. Overall though, I can't complain. I can get a bomb wig for 30 dollars! I've turned some of my white friends on to "black" wigs and they love them!

Crystal Nicole: Thank you for posting this! I’m a white woman and I have alopecia and human hair wigs “for Caucasian women” are soooooo much!!! I havw been wanting to order a Luvme hair wig for the longest but have been scared that the texture would be different. This was so helpful! Thank you so so much!

Sarah Gray: I’m white and have alopecia. I’ve been doing the wig thing for a few years now. There’s definitely differences and I damn sure don’t have the money for wigs that are over 100 bucks. I got frustrated after a while and lots of wasted money. So I decided to start buying my own bundles so I can sew my own wigs. And I dye them myself. It takes a while but it still ends up being cheaper. I don’t care about the color of skin and who they’re marketed. White women are not known to wear wigs. It’s just not something accepted or widely known about for us. I just appreciate all the knowledge I’ve been given by WOC who are killing the wig game.

JennysRandom: Great Video! I started watching wig videos of White Women years ago due to coming across a wig website marketed to white women. It’s how I learned about color differences in wigs and how undertones suit different skin colors, especially blonde tones. I love wearing wigs and I love watching wig/hair videos of WOC and White women alike. I think the WOC market is larger because we buy more as far as hair enhancements are concerned(my opinion), but these companies should step it up as far as supporting our fair skinned sisters cause y’all definitely slay too❤️ much love hun.

the_paradoxical_planner: I just started wearing wigs in 2020. My first wigs were Bobby Boss wigs. The lace was too dark for me so of course I had to use some foundation or powder to make them work. My latest wigs are from Outre and DAMN are they good! HD lace, pre-plucked hairlines— the quality in these wigs has grown by leaps and bounds just in the year I have been wearing them. Thank God I don’t have to buy $400 wigs!

Bryce Reyes: I have been wearing wigs for about two years. I am white, and I wear a lot of wigs for women of color. You do make good points. I just wanted to say that I just make the wig work for me, and a lot of times people are surprised that I am wearing a wig. A lot of times those wigs are actually for women of color. I don’t buy wigs that are more geared for white women because they are way too expensive. I am a momma on a budget, and I love wigs like Sensationnel and It’s a Wig. The colors range from natural to bright! I love that. Thanks for this video!

Rosa: I’m Puerto Rican and buy WOC wigs, absolutely love them. I own two Jon Renau wigs and don’t even wear them. I feel like me in my $30 wig. Loved the video, love your channel!❤️

jflyiii: Thank you for making this video, I have limited experience with buying higher quality type wigs and I honestly feel more and more confused and stupid the more that I research. It’s nice to hear from someone with experience.

Candice: I am now a new subscriber!!! As a woman of color I find this subject very interesting and I hadn’t really thought about this so I am absolutely loving hearing about this and your input on it! Just the fact you’re speaking on this I find REFRESHING. Watching, listening and learning with an open mind!!

Jessy Hughes: I'm biracial too. As the world mixes more, I imagine the wig world will become more diverse.

Susan Welch Brown: Our town has a couple wig shops. Both cater mainly to WOC. There are many beautiful wigs in one shop. I had questions and wanted to try a couple out. I waited very patiently but I guess the owner and family employees didn’t think I was sincere and dismissed my interest in their inventory. (Not a WOC owner) Had they done they believed I was there to spend money I would have referred other potential customers. It’s an untapped market in our area. A young sales lady )WOC) came over and started talking to me. I’m sure she would have been very helpful had she not been directed to place her attention on customers that started coming in. I entered ignorant about wigs and left ignorant. So I turned YouTube and watched many hours..both videos by WOC and white women, to learn tips and tricks and what’s out there. Obviously there are a lot more WOC into hair pieces because there are SO many helpful videos available by these beautiful ladies. Everything I now know I got only from Youtube. I agree..the prices do seem to be more reasonable for wigs catered to WOC. I’ll will visit that store again and I’ll bring my game because of ladies like you. Thank you.

Malinda Smith: As a very white white lady I have found a huge difference in the two types of wigs. I have alopecia and I have bought tons of wigs from Motown tress, Janet collection etc and even the HD lace wigs have too dark a lace for me. So I then moved to buying raw hair and learning to customize it myself. But if I buy a $300 Raquel Welch everything is done, the lace is completely invisible on my head and the cap is instantly comfortable. My highest quality human hair wig cost me $350 and it’s amazing but she took some work to get her there. Knots to bleach coloring, plucking and so on. I can spend around the same and get a very comfy wig that is everything I need straight out of the box. I enjoy both kinds of wigs but my go to wigs are the white lady wigs. They are just easier and need little or no customization and they match my hair texture and skin tone. However, I owe every good hair day I’ve ever had to woman of color. You ladies created the hair game and perfected it. We white ladies are a teeny part of that market and we owe what we do have to the black girl magic that started it all!

Nichole Renee: Can’t believe I didn’t see this video earlier . I obviously am Caucasian and wear wigs marketed for women of color. I honestly don’t like the wigs marketed for white women because they look too fake and cost too much. I think a majority of the wigs I buy (all the ones you mentioned like Bobbi Boss, etc) and review are meant for all races. Primarily light Yaki ones. I also like wearing a variety of textures because they are beautiful, I am also bringing them to my viewers who are of all races, and no one knows what my real hair looks like underneath it. Ironically, my natural color is a #2 so the wigs with the darker roots work well for me (plus dark roots are in fashion). I like to tell people in my reviews sometimes that I think all wigs are multicultural because you should wear what makes you happy

Karen: I'm so thankful to have found your channel! Of the budget friendly brands you review (human hair or synthetic) do you have recommdatiins for: 1. Petite cap sizes 2. Lower density and 3. Colors for fair skin (I'm caucasian) and am used to brown with blond highlights. I'm feeling overwhelmed as I transition from wearing toppers to needing to wear wigs because of increasing hair loss. Any help you could provide would be great! Thank you for your awesome and informational videos!!!

My Vibe Sierra Bloom: I am so glad I found your channel. I love to wear wigs and I have purchased the expensive medical wigs marketed to white women because they look so realistic. I would love to have more inexpensive options. I see beautiful natural looking lace front wigs marketed to WOC and they just don't work for me because of the very dark rooting. I enjoyed your video very much. I look forward to watching more. You look stunning by the way! :-)

mattiesful: I totally agree with you. I am white and noticed when I purchase wigs, the "white women" wigs are wayyyy over priced. My hair is very fine and thin, like baby hair and it's difficult to match.

morphergaming 05: I've been wearing wigs daily since 1998 and this very topic has been a subject of frustration for me. When my need for medical wigs started I noticed that causcian wigs have been solidly overpriced. I have been fortunate that my natural hair color is dark brown #2 or #4 so I purchased my wigs from the WOC lines that had highlights to lighten the black base. What I realized is that a 400. Henry Margu did not hold up to daily wear as well as a 40. Vivian Fox, what is wrong with this picture. The textures of WOC wigs could be easily discerned in the online photos and the relaxed styles were comparable in the style and lay of the fibers. Now that I'm noticeably aging trying to find affordable medium browns to blondes are much much harder to find. WOC have taken ownership of wig creations and I applaud them. I'm just waiting for these artists to expand into caucasian clientele, they could dominate the industry while Reneau, Margu, Ferre are asleep at their desks.

Katie B: I love a lot of the WOC wigs I see you review and I see the same wigs reviewed by darker skin women and think they look beautiful in them also. My personal opinion as long as “you” feel beautiful and confident in IT. It’s for you. But I also do see a lot of Wigs saying for WOC but again, I think they look beautiful on all skin tones. I definitely do think there is a different in the let’s say actual White Wig company wigs-they are lighter in weight usually lighter lace or mono tops and a lot more filler fibers that sometimes look like toooooo MUCH ‍♀️. AND definitely a difference in the price.

nicole myers: I’m having this trouble u were talking about. Finding the right wig is very difficult and time consuming and exhausting. I’m new to this and my hair just started thinning this past year and the Caucasian wigs are very over priced. I have paid $1200 for a silk top from Uniwigs and I love it but I can’t afford to buy those Could you help me with some wig website names other than the ones u mentioned in your video. I have no experience with synthetic. I only have human hair wigs. I love the one you have on. Keep posting girl there’s a purpose

CallMe Kay: A few months back I was really sick and it ended in septic shock. My thick wavy/curly hair that I complained of having too much has been falling out in clumps for months now and I am left with 25% of what I had. There is no female balding in my family either. The only explanation the docs can come up with is it’s a result of how sick I was. I don’t even know if it will ever grow back and that causes some pretty dark thoughts. As a white woman I had never considered a wig an option. I’ve always said how thankful I was to not have to wear one because it seems so high maintenance and uncomfortable. It was reassuring when you said you don’t spend more than $25 on yours bc I thought it cost hundreds. Stumbling across this channel was a sign for sure thank you ❤️

Nancy Gonzales: Hi Tia great video I agree on the topic of wigs for white women and definitely for women of color but I see no reason why a woman can’t wear what ever she wants if it feels good! I have to say this hair your wearing looks the best on you I’ve ever seen it looks fabulous, the color the style you nailed it looks so natural, you look great in all but personally I like this one the best

Abigail McCulloch: It’s so hard for me to follow these videos where people try to talk about Wigs for white and black women because everyone is so scared to actually TALK about it! Look I’m a white woman who wears wigs every single day for straight fun. What I need to know is what brand of synthetic hair has the best fibers? What brand of synthetic wig has the most comfortable cap? What synthetic wig has blondes (any color. Caramel, ash, ombré, bombre, platinum, whateves). Has a root color that’s not friggin black?? That’s it, that’s all I need to know and not one video, forum, review, squat, will tell me these things

Rachel Jacob: This is a great video! You did an excellent job of addressing the exact question I have had since I started wearing wigs a few months ago! I have fine, soft and shiny dark brown hair and was curious about the texture component of hair for marketed for WOC. I know I am not likely to find something comparable to my exact texture (I'll gladly take some added thickness), but this made me confident I can find something if I simply ignore the marketing facade. Time to go exploring!!!

Lyricalgoesmeow: I’m white I only own one Jon renau I feel more myself in the $30 cheaper ones I just add foundation and powder to the lace to match me . I don’t see that big of a difference but the more ones targeted at white women are more mature styles I’m only 21 so I love fun colors

Conversations with Kat: I needed a wig for my daughter, so I walked into a local wig shop. Every single wig had dark roots. She is extremely white and pink, and has barely any hair, but it's very soft.

Debra Englander: Loved review. I started with wigs from supply stores and was very happy. Learned later about the wigs from “designer brands” and I am not impressed. Most look wiggly with tons of permatease and old lady styles. Not sure if I want to chance paying 400 for a wig that needs to be made in to my own to wear. On the other hand I love the TWC

bkaine77: Being white and growing up with 3c hair my family had no clue how to manage my hair. After frying it all off, I saved n spent all my money on hair extensions and honestly most were not quality. I remember my mom taking me to a wig store that was marketed for white women, I was so excited because we had trouble matching my color and texture to wigs marketed for WOC. The lady working was so rude, and didn’t understand why I wanted a wig and didn’t have cancer. Not only did I feel stupid, I felt even worse for my mom because I knew she felt bad that she couldn’t afford any. Im learning more about options from YouTube especially when I feel defeated and am too embarrassed to ask.

Pooh 🐻 and Rabbit 🐇: Tia, you are stunning in any wig however I think this by far takes the trophy! It's undetectable. I would have never guessed this is a wig. Rediculously amazing on you ❤️ Speechless

Sheri Sullivan: I'm going crazy trying to pick a good wig. I'm white and have struggled with thin hair my whole life. Outre has a wig called Ariella that looks amazing. My question is, could a white girl with a forehead like Christina Ricci pull off this look? I used to perm my hair for yeas so the curl is fine. I'm just concerned with texture and hairline. I'm clueless.

Suzanne Knight: This is so good!!! I am white and I find that I don’t normally like the wigs targeted for me but struggle with the too dark roots thing. Does anybody know of auburn wigs that doesn’t have the long black roots? Thanks for this information.

Diamond Lachae: Since I've been subscribed to your channel. YT has been suggesting white wig wearer creators, which i have no problem with but it kind of opened like a pandoras box for me just seeing the differences between the wigs I buy and the wigs they wear. I do see that their synthetic wigs are more like an investment in the same regards as a high quality human hair wig for the same price. And it showed me that not all of their wigs are catered to Mature ladies. Would not purchase because I'm not interested in the texture or price but I do find them interesting and I've learned about their version of a half wig. But I can definitely see how a WOC catered wig is more multicultural option than a Jon Renau/ Rene of Paris.

MOODY BUGG-20: Gladto hear. So, i wont be wasting money on over priced wigs. So, i might have to thin it A LOT! if im paying 1/4 of price... i can deal

Claude C: Hi, new sub here! I have been waiting on this since you announced on the wig group. I have wondered what is the main differences in the fibers of boutique wigs vs beauty store wigs. I know the diffrence in caps no lace to cut, permateese, silk base. But, now boutique wigs have silk base. I can not tell if fibers are truly tied to the silk lace closest to scalp, It does not look like it. I saw a video that a women said boutique style wigs are sold ready to wear. Thank you for the great video

Brenda Baum: Thank you for this video. And I love the blonde curly wig I just bought from you on Poshmark! ❤️❤️

Sharon C: Thank you! I am saving my pennies for a synthetic wig, real human hair is very expensive. I am white and notice the price point on colored women’s wigs and Caucasian wigs.

fdvkmc: im white and asian ive tried estetica wigs (they have great styles and the fibers are bomb)..but they didnt look natural on me at all. they were just too big and over styled. i wear korean/japanese pinkage wigs daily since the styles look more natural on me and they fit my small noggin. not only that but like you said wigs for woc are cheaper and are constantly improving

laughing Hawk: Great video. I've used both. I'm Puerto Rican and whiter than some Caucasians with very thin, curly hair that when brushed out, Caucasians say looks nappy, but people of color still feel it's too soft to be nappy. This is going on by what my friends and people I know say. You're right about everything you said, especially the rooting and marketing, and texture. I feel that wigs marketed for people of color are have better style options and will come in many textures from silky smooth to kinky curly. It's wonderful. Try finding a curly wig marketed towards Caucasians. Good luck. They usually stick to fine, smooth, straighter options with some waves which they classify as curly. Another thing I find is that cap construction for Caucasian marketed wigs are definitely much nicer. The material is not as rough, They can come with velvet ear tabs and velcro straps to secure and their lace fronts and monofilament anything looks so natural without having to use any powder, concealer, spray. They also come in different sizes for the same wig, unlike wigs targeted for people of color, which mostly come at a 22" circumference and are way too large for lots of women with smaller heads. There are many videos out there on how to make your wig cap larger if it's snug but hardly anything on how to make them smaller for smaller heads. Due to the price point on Caucasian targeted wigs, I'll stick to cheaper ones I know I can rock and have fun with them.

Camille Gotti: Thank you Tia as the stereotypical Caucasian blonde hair blue-eyed then hair person it's hard for me to find a wig that's thin enough density and not too shiny I haven't bought one yet but if you could direct me to which way I need to go let me know I'd appreciate it

Jin: Thank you so much for this video!! I'm sooo excited to see your other videos! I just found your channel and I'm Puerto Rican but very mixed, white with black facial and body features so your video helped so much as I can identify with you! Pleaseee keep these types of videos going!! Oh and also, what is the wig you a re rocking?! It didn't say on your description and I am in lovee with it It's a very similar color to my hair!!

Juliusgirl: One thing that is tough, with synthetic or human hair wigs as a white chick with dark hair, is it is virtually impossible to find a med. or dark brown/chestnut hair color without 1B roots and/or dark lace. There are so many times i have wanted a lace front wig but there is no transparent lace option. And I refuse to get the old lady permatease wigs that cost $400 for synthetic wigs when I can get a 613 worn with a light wig cap and some got2be that is virgin remi (before the bleaching, obvi) for less than that.

Lisa B: I totally agree with you and everything you said 100% I’am Hispanic and I’m suffering from alopecia and losing my hair almost totally and right now I rely on the ways of color because the price is more reasonable for me I cannot afford a white Caucasian wig right now love ya channel

Liloua: Most afro wigs have a very dark root or just pure platinum they don't offer nice light shades and the lace is also way too dark. Light or transparent lace is very uncommon

Mylastestaddiction: I’m white. I like wigs in general. I like to change my look up sometimes. I’m not sure why white women don’t try to wear wigs it’s so easy! You just pop it on and you’re ready to roll!

Tiffany T: This is just my opinion, but I think women who feel like they HAVE to wear wigs Bc or medical hair loss ( alopecia, female patten loss) are less flexible and more self conscious as opposed to women who may have hair but don’t like it per say. I know human hair wigs for white women are in the 1000 range.

Ally235G: Im super new to wigs. Im 33 and white. My twin and I went to a more white marketed store that had wigs for at least $500. Then we went to Hair Town, a more black marketed store, and the most expensive were $150. I was so confused as to what the difference was. Hair Town said human hair. Maybe not all of the hairs were? I dont get it.

Daphne Davis: Ease of the buyer; there are certain hair extensions marketed for certain women of color vs. Caucasian or lighter skinned.

Arthur Kurtzhall: White women make up a very tiny market, they want all the realistic cap constructions and ready to wear out of the box whereas women of color, hair is sort of a cultural thing with them and they usually customize them to suit themselves so it's going to be cheaper.

Alisha Parker: There’s a shop about an hour away such a sweet lil lady she loves everybody she’s black and she treats everyone great black, white, and any tone inbetween as far as the cheaper wigs they’re about the same but the expensive ones like the grey ones they r more expensive I can’t see $500+ on a wig . My hair texture is course and curly naturally bc my heritage white, black,&Indian but since my thyroid issues my hair loss has been significant. And yeah I think WOC can pull off about anything skin tone and eye color helps that’s just me saying that and as a compliment.

Anne Wilkinson: I'm white and if I wore a wig the main reason would be to CHANGE my hair texture. I have flat baby fine hair and I'very always longed for hair with that courser, bouncier texture.

MOODY BUGG-20: Ive wondered if more pricey synthetic last any better. From what i can tell..no

Jules: As a white woman who has naturally chestnut warm dark brown hair as well as significant hair loss and wouldn’t be caught dead in an old white lady wig (you know what I mean), there is NOTHING realistic for me. My hair. naturally looks like Tia in this vid except frizzlycurly and a bit more warm (someone explain tome why i need cool make up yet warm hair colors? It makes 0 sense to me). I honestly can’t leave the house without a hat with my hair being as gone as it is at this point but I have yet to find a wig that looks like real hair on me and I’ve been searching for a year. I’m not willing or able to pay more than $300 for the whole shebang which is like plucking so it looks natural, knot bleaching, etc. Another thing is dating. Omg... So I don’t. Was supposed to go out tonight but it was raining and what am I supposed to do with no car and only got2be?

Miz Wonderful: I'm 75% white and 25% black. I've never bought a wig from a Caucasian company! The companies for women of color are just so good! The lace may be too dark for my skin, but I make it work!! Edit--are you wearing Valencia?

your baka: I am mixed but I am olive skin, so I do look a lil white but I do purchase wigs that are mostly for black women, I don’t mind really, I just cannot imagine purchasing 500 wigs, and my cousins and aunts don’t really accept me for wearing wigs, it’s just easier wearing wigs without damaging my hair‍♀️

Carrie: I buy human hair marked towards women of color. I am white it it’s perfectly fine. And it cost 1/4 of the price!

Annie Pibbles: Its really all about things like the color of lace and weather you have fine hair that is hard to attach clips and combs too or if you are gluing the wig on to a bald scalp due tp chemotherapy or alopecia. It doesnt matter who makes it but HOW ITS MADE AND ATTACHED. abd if you are going to wear it daily or just occasionally and how you plan on styling it. I dont need a brown lace or something that will slide around on my head because its too fine to get anything to stay in place . I cant do cornrow anchor braids so wearing some wigs just arent practical like some very dark colors and styles just dont always work for white woman ,thickness texture density all matter for a natural look regardless of ethnicity. What is important is as unique as the wig wearer but there are basic differences in the needs of caucasian woman vs woman of color So when im looking for wigs for caucasian woman THATS WHAT IM CONCERNED ABOUT .not the name its branded with because ive seen many off brands that look like they are well made and practical for caucasian woman

Dinah DMM: Thank you for making this video

Laura B: I have seen synthetic wigs onn cyster wigs that looked like party city wigs. Even uniwigs doesn't necessarily look more natural than an outre melted lace. Just sayin

crystal billiot: You are so right! I have been looking for wigs with a silk texture. So I’m looking at wigs for white women. How can I get a wig like the one you have on but in a lace frontal please and thank you!

Andrea Lorente: I have alopecia, I've had it since I was 12, but it wasn't that bad until last year my hair juz kept falling out, so I'm 26 now and barely have any hair, I'm juz going to shave my head, I'm always looking at wigs, and have seen the sites that are for white women and they are way more spendy, I have got a couple off Amazon, I've been looking on other sites that are for WOC and I want to get some but I run into the problem of the option to get lace that would match my skintone, I'm half Mexican and Italian, and my skin is pretty light, I really want to get a 360 lace or an all lace wig once I shave my head and glue it down and see how long I can wear it for, do u know of any good sites or wigs I can find that are affordable ? my hair is naturally dark brown, but I like it blonde with dark roots, really once I get better at putting wigs on, I want to have a variety of different colors, but I want one that looks like my hair, and the lace can match my skintone

Francesca: I’m caucasian (italian) I have natural brown black curly hair and I started to loose hair when I was a teen so I followed for years afroamerican youtubers to taking care of my hair, and I bought colored powder fiber for the scalp and clip in extensions straigh, because at the time I didn’t find the curly ones, then I was curling the extension with a chopstick styler. Then I was tired of my long tangled hair because the high maintenance of it, plus I was tired trying to match and blend my hair to extensions, and I cut them (also to make them take a break) and I though it’s time to buy a wig! Also because I always dreamed about straight hair but my hair are impossible to straight. Every question and doubt, everything I know about wigs is thanks to american youtubers. So I decided to buy wigs for the afroamerican market I think they are better than the one for white girls because have an attention for the scalp and the hairline that I don’t see in the ones for white women. The ones for black women are so realistic meanwhile the ones for caucasian you can really tell it's a wig! Like the white influencer Jennifer Brown the hairline of her pricey wigs absolutley need to be plucked! The only downside is that for example I ordered a RPGshow wig that has only tinted brown lace so I had to ask to custom make a trasparent lace but I have to wait 50 days or more!

Shar Grieb: You just keep getting prettier and prettier. I am Polish ,,,well, my grandparents were ,,so I am not from there,,anyway,,,fabulous post. You post the best content ALWAYS

moonshiner 3: I think wigs aimed at white women are expensive and very low quality if your not buying human hair. Lullabellz. Ugh. £69-£80 for a wig. Plastic none syllable wigs. Freetress £40-£60 heat syllable and very realistic. I love how races are mixing more but in the world of wigs it can be a bad thing lol white woman are being ripped off all over the world

Katy Girl: They charge more money for the wigs at the white hair companies. So they are ripping the white woman off.

Brianna Prieto: Is there a way to make dark lace lighter?

Christina Panait: lol i am Caucasian very light skin but I love more the lace frontal or 360 lace and to customized the as women of color , way too cool and funny!

Steph M: There is an obvious difference in human hair wigs. Wigs for white women are alot more expensive can run over $800 and even over $1000 and WOC wigs can be less than $500 and even less than $200 depending what you like. I'm a very light with a white scalp complexion and I'm turning to headband wigs because these cheap wigs for woc that I barely can afford anyways have dark lace and its too noticeable for me. Even fake scalp is too dark for me. As I'm searching for hair with lighter lace and white fake scalp are those targeted to white women for over $1000. I have 2 used and 2 new wigs, all four under $215 each for woc that I'm not using, trying to find one that I can blend with my skin. Make up/foundation hasn't been helpful, bleaching the knots makes it darker, I've tried lightening the lace with dye remover and nope. I should just give up and wear bonnets for the rest of my life. I started wearing synthetic but I'm an all day everyday wig user and synthetic was not working for that.

Jeni A: White women wigs are expensive because they’re grab and go. There is no plucking, no glueing, etc. Pop it on and go. You pay for convenience. They also tend to utilize permatease to give body to the wig so it doesn’t lay so flat on the head.

M Agnew: This video is so old, but im going to comment anyway simply for the topic itself. I myself have been looking at wigs geared towards woc and white women for many years and personally, I feel that the companies that are making wigs geared towards white women are failing miserably when it comes to the "natural look" versus those making wigs for woc. Dont get me wrong the colors on most are beautiful, but still in 2021 the wigs geared towards white women still look ridiculously wiggy (normally due to the hairline and density) than ever unless you're willing to pay upwards of 1k (and even then most of them still do). Its ridiculous and we should be demanding better. Its sad because even the "white" women reviewers here on youtube (which are few) are promoting these companies even though the wigs they are promoting..."Its SOOO obvious ITS A WIG!!! Even the lace fronts look like wigs on their heads. I'm sorry, but even most of the ones i see Tia wearing looks wiggy. So it can only be one of two things. The wigs are still just really bad or white women need to up their game on the "slaying" front.

Jessica McCoy Green: Have you ever done a video on Rebel Gypsy wigs?

Danielle Bitton: Can you send the link of the wig you are wearing in this video :)

Gana Ellethy: i have a fare skin tone and i want to buy WOC so will it fit on me or not? it has a tan lace also

TALKCalgary: More confused after watching this video than I was to start with.

Misty Falco: What are you wearing???? I love this wig!!!!

Pepper Provasnik: Caucasian wigs are way overpriced and made like crap

Shay lynn: wig worn in this video ? please let me know

Felisha BabyBlue: Oh I love in music intro :) ! btw i am women of color.

kenzi KENSINGTON: Black women wear silky texture which is WHITE women hair but I definitely as a white woman would not wear a yaki texture

Jenny L Harrell Catron: I don't want to appear rude, but your nose ring is so distracting. It reminds me of the rings that they put in bulls. It's not flattering. You're absolutely adorable and you really should choose your BEST self to present to the world.
