Do not understand how can I look fly so the previous video. We showed you how to make a wig this video, I'm going to show you the differences between the different types of wigs. Why are some wigs cheap? Why are some expensive, blase blase blah, so the first one I'm going to discuss with you is hmm a lace front wig this wig is from divas wait now. I do recommend a flesh, skin tone, wig cap, which I don't have with me. I forgot it in LA and I didn't realize it until I started filming, but whatever just get a wig cap one you can even take a pair of old pantyhose if you want to and just cut it up, Planet of the Apes. Now it's called a lace front because there's lace in the front of the wig and that's where wigs can start to cost a lot, because that lace you paying for that softness the quality, the lace, the quality of the hair. So this is from divas wigs and this hair is all kinds of lengths. What is this tailbone key tailbone, but you want to have a wig cap. That'S your skin tone because of the lace you see, the lace is gon na show. What'S underneath and right now I have a black wig cap which doesn't look like my skin and then back here is a flesh tone, but anyways you won't do this a mistake. I just did this hair is soft. This hair is soft, but to make it more real, you're gon na style it. So here's the lace, the lace front, starts here. It goes all the way around see, lace, lace. Now you can glue it down, you can add an elastic band and sew it in and make it tight, so it like really stays down. This is not tight right now, but I'm just trying to show you the differences. The lace doesn't go all the way around. It starts here it stops and then it starts again at the it does. There'S a 360 lace, wigs that go all the way around and that's designed. So you can put your hair in a ponytail and it looks like it's yours. It'S like it looks like it's growing out of your head. If I were to try to put this in a ponytail you'd see in the back that it isn't mine, but this way comes with little baby hairs, yes, water, that can be styled and in order to secure this lace down the girls on the youtubes be using Got to be got to be glued and it's a styling product, but it lays this down taut this. If you got the money. Yes, that's that's kind of used to like do the trickery of blending the lace front, but you feel like flat iron. The top part here to get it really flat and when you're doing wigs, you want to make sure that the foundation is nice and smooth. So you want to make sure your hair underneath is either braided up or glued down. And when I mean glue - and I just I really just mean laid when you come out the box - you just got ta like press her out or you can curl her. That'S the amazing thing about this wig, it's human hair, which means you can style it as if it was your own, you could dye it. You can bleach it. I wouldn't do that. You can curl it, you can cut it. You can't grow it, but you can have a lot of fun with it all the info for this particular wick and because it is human hair, you can use styling products. I'M just gon na use this Moroccan oil shine one lace, front lace, front the next week. We have is a closure now the difference between a lace front and a closure. A closure only has lace from here to here, because that's the only part we want to see and then the rest of the wig is just tracks sewn in. So you want to make sure she doesn't fly open, so you see the tracks, but the benefits of having a closure is it's less maintenance. With the lace front, you have to put glue and that's a lot of work with this closure. You just throw her on man now. I recommend the closure when there's bangs or when you plan on having this part down, you don't want to put it up in a ponytail you're, not trying to show all that, but look at this now. This wig was made by Makeba and it's bundles of hair that she sells. So this is the lace that hasn't been customized. Nobody'S hair line looks like you know. I should say nobody, it's very rare, to find a hair line. That looks like that. So you want to customize it to make it look more real by going in and tweezing some of it out. I don't recommend doing this on your head, put it on a mannequin head and tweeze, because the last thing you want to do is rip your own hair out. That'S the hair from the way. So when you start doing that and as you saw in our wig video 101 put them in the upper eye, it starts to look natural because I mean my hairline is jacked, but nothing smooth about that. But if you want to find out how we made this watch this video but human hair, it's been dyed, it's been lightened and it's been cut. I can use styling products and that's the benefit of having human hair, and then I can diffuse this with a diffuser to get the curls back. This legit was my hair in high school, like to the teeth, color cut, texture, everything this is my hair. It'S mine, mine, it's my hair! Now what? If I want to wear my hair out? I don't want to worry about a lace. I don't want to deal with all of that. It'S just too complicated. I just want to use my own hair cuz. I have some hair, you can wear a? U part wig and a? U part, wig, basically, is like a reverse to pay instead of the hair sitting here, the hair sits here and you can wear your own hair out. This is a u-part wig, so I made this and then I cut it out, but this is basically a U or the in it, and the reason why I wanted this was because I have hair and I was like well. I want to rock some of my hair out um. I can leave my bangs out and have like a messy beach wave situation going on. So what I want to do is take the you out, so this will be my hair that I'm gon na use to cover you can just clip it in, but I do recommend having an anchor of some kind. So what I'm gon na do is take my hair right here and start braiding. I'M doing this really fast cuz. I just want to show you what it looks like on got my anchors, so I'm gon na take these clips that are inside the? U part and I'm just gon na clip her in on the anchor it's like a ledge. It'S like a window. Ledge, okay, she's got the! U part wig in and now I'm gon na take this open and and if you want to see these wigs in action, you can watch my wig lookbook, but it's all about the styling so once it's in style the crap out of it. So I cut this way. It wasn't way longer. Just you point wig, I just cut it, so it would match my hair more and it could still actually do it some layers, but it blends, and then I can add in some wave here. You know I don't want the too much eat in my head. The benefit with this is you don't have to worry about lace. That lace is the deal. The drawback is you have your own hair out, which means it's not very protective you're, not protecting your hair. You have to blend your hair with this hair, so there might be heat involved products involved whatever, but shake you. Finally, we have synthetic hair. Now synthetic hair tends to be more affordable than human hair and that's because essentially plastic. I recommend synthetic hair when you have a limited budget and or you're doing extreme colors. Now you can bleach a human hair which the hair that I was just using. You can bleach it. You can color it, but because it is human it can get damaged with synthetic hair you buy it, as is you can't diet or anything, but it has really pigmented colors, like it's very vibrant, and so I would just buy the synthetic hair with the colors. This obviously is not a crazy color, it's just black, but you can actually put heat on synthetic depending on the temperature I like to blow dry my synthetic hair when it looks a little ratty putting some heat to it, will kind of revive it, but you'd have To know when you're doing low heat boiling water can also help with styling. I actually did a video on styling a lilac straight wig, and I turned it into an afro, and I did that by doing a form of rod sets really fine rod sets putting it in boiling water and taking it out. So you can style synthetic hair on the difference. Is it does look fake, which can be good if you're looking for a dramatic look, whether you're doing a performance show a photo shoot Halloween, you can have fun and again, the key is to style this hair used to be long. I cut it. I cut her she's so cute and I cut her because she was like fuzzy at the ends. I didn't have time to put all that heat and styling and styling can involve pulling it back or voila extensions. There are so many different types of extensions. I personally I'm only gon na talk about the clippings, not the sew ins, not the glue ends. I don't like glue ends. I think it looks so. Tacky weave is good for girls that have thin hair damaged, hair girls that have short hair, and I want to add some length. I got these amazing extensions, they're clippings from Sally Beauty. I went to their Expo and I met this company called barely extensions and I fell in love ultra seamless up in remy hair. The extension track is so thin, which is perfect for girls who have thin hair and they don't want that bulky track and it's just clips ban. My hair has also been second mushroom, so it's coming out like that to the touch it's so nice and fat. I love this hair, but my hair is too short for it to blend, so I would cut this, but I don't want to so. I'M just gon na grow. My hair out these extensions are in black and they're. 18 inches becomes of 5 pieces only now in order to blend these. It'S all about Simon guys, I could roll it back like that and those were hat. So I don't know if you can tell, but I can kind of tell that it's not exact. This is black, my hair is 1b and my 1b was the closest to black for ultra seamless, clip-ins 18 inches to packs. This is such an le dancer. Look. There are a ton more wigs and weaves out there. I went over the lace front, closure, new parts, synthetic and extensions. I love them all. I challenge you and me to have more fun and play with all these fun goodies. I got more hair videos coming at you make sure you, like this video, make sure you're subscribed.
