Hello, everybody integral Shantay here and I'm coming at you with another video today, if you are new welcome to my channel and if you are not new welcome back today, I'm gon na be doing a video on this kinky straight. U part wig that I constructed using hair from luxury tresses by fab, so I saw that she was having a sale on her kinky straight bundles and I had to jump on it. I don't know if you are familiar with big chop hair and there? U part wig, but I've seen that everywhere on YouTube for a while now doing different styles with the? U part way brain in a ponytail doing like half-up half-down wearing it. You know, as it should be with that center part or like a side part of some sort. So versatile right looked up the big chopped hair. U part wig for this length and like something crazy. I can't even remember the price if it was like 400 something 500, something dumb right and I'm like I can't. I can't do that. So I just went ahead, picked up the bundles from luxury tresses by fab and did my own so starting off with you know. The shipping and whatnot it took about it took a little bit for the hair to get to me. Definitely a couple of weeks and Labor Day was thrown in there. So that kind of knocked everything off I don't know, but I patiently waited about a bing bada boom. The hair came standard, USPS package and in the bag it had. You know like your invoice or whatever, as well as like a little pouch like a little tissue kind of bag, and but once you take the hair out of that, it was wrapped in like this tissue paper, ornate kind of tissue paper. So that was cute and it had a sticker of Terry, the owner of the luxury tresses by fab brand and had her little sticker on there very cute. Opening that part up and the hair was wrapped in like little plastic, clear bags and it had like the inches of each of the bundles. In the back very straightforward, I got to 24 inches and a 22 inch to make this. You part unit didn't want to bog you guys down with how I actually constructed the u-part wig, because there's tons and tons and tons of videos out there on how to construct a u-part wig. So you could look at any of those, but just for a couple. Quick tip bits of what I did, the two 24 inch bundles I doubled up and did those on the bottom and then the 22 inch bundle. I single tracked those and cut the wefts for the first two 24 inches. I didn't cut the website just like double tracked it and then folded it over and but the 22 inch when you're getting closer to the trap. So I could get it like flat. I just like single tracking - and I click the end, so it doesn't get like lumpy around here. After that there was about half of the 22 inch bundle left. I didn't want it to be super full with all three bundles. I did that initially, and it was way too full, so I took out some tracks towards the middle, where you wouldn't as much and yeah just to thin it out a bit. So in all, I would say I have about two and a half bundles in my head, going on to the supplies, the actual supplies that I use. First off, I went ahead and sealed the bundles with fray check. This is like this liquid that you can use dirt with crafts so that your strings or your threads won't fray. I go ahead and apply it to my webs, very sloppily. It doesn't matter if it gets on the hair. You could peel it off later. I apply one quick layer as the bundles are still rolled up. Let it dry for a bit go in with another layer, let it dry and then you're set. So I apply that fray check. I go ahead and move on to the wig cap and the head and all that stuff. So I use like a little styrofoam mannequin head measure ahead with like a measuring tape around like the perimeter where your wig is gon na sit just so you can see and make sure that your wing isn't too big or weak, isn't too small all that kind Of stuff, but the actual wig cap that I used was this likes spandex II, but like really thin mesh cap, I wanted to make it thin because I was gon na manipulate the hair and a lot of different personal styles. Like I mentioned earlier, and I figured that I wanted the wig to be as like malleable and kind of flowy as possible as i'm contorting it in different ways. So I wanted to use this thin mesh as far as the longevity I'm hoping it stays up, because you know it's not as thick and solid as like the mesh dome cap spandex like heavy-duty ones that I use sometimes so we'll see. But I do enjoy this one also because it has like adjustable little bands in the back. So that's good um as far as weak sizing as well. So I just opted for that. One. You use nylon thread, it's just really durable and strong. I used to use cotton thread not anymore, and let me think about anything else. No, I went ahead, sewed the wig boom. I use some clips that I harvested from past wigs. I just keep those clips and then I went ahead and sold them on the inside of the wig. I was trying to show you, but it's like around the you part. If there are three clips two in the front and then one in this back part here at the back of the U or like the base of the? U, and I have two little combs on the side here, to hold that down and then one comb in the back to kind of stick up under my bun that I have in the back to keep it secure. So we're like good. You name me what else? What else what else girl yeah? So that's the actual construction of the wig as far as the application, it wasn't too difficult. I did some break pattern under here left a little bit of my you out. I didn't want to leave like a ton of leave out out because I didn't want to blend like a bunch of crazy, a bunch of craziness. So I left a little leave out out and applied the clips and everything where it's supposed to go and then, as far as my hair goes at first, I was like going in between, should I flat iron, my hair blow-dry, but my hair does better with blow-dry. So I like blow-dried it as straight as I could and took some of this design essentials, edge, control and sleeked it over like the edges and stuff like that, and I wasn't doing any swirls or curls or anything just sleek it over sleep, it or whatever, and Then I still went in with the karekare hair, stick thing and just kind of smoothed everything out and kind of just melted, my hair into the? U part wig and after I did that stuff I went in with like those wraps the little hair wraps. I have two white ones, but I want to get the black ones from a beauty supply because they're like thicker and like they look more durable, so don't even get those get the black ones. I just used up because that's what I had and yeah applied that and let that sit for a little bit and chill out and took it off, and here we go here. We have it lay down a little bit. My hair is definitely very very curly and swirly and fun. You know this kinky hair is processed to be kinky straight, so I would be mindful if it is raining, if it's a lot of humidity, which Georgia is a lot of humidity, so I have to watch it, but it's getting colder. So it should be a little bit better but yeah as far as your hair, like reverting back to your texture and it's like poofy, hair and then showing it here. It'S not the look after everything was said and done I'm very excited about the wig. Let me show you the back: it's nothing too crazy. Like I said I got 24 inches trying to wear white, so you can see. Hopefully doesn't look crazy. Sorry, I'm like bending my cameras angle, though kind of crazy, wait so uh. I hope you can see a chin, it's really pretty it really blends in with my hair very well, it's a beautiful natural texture. It'S very soft! I could run my hands through it. This is not the first time that I've tried and attempted to make like a kinky straight wig. You know the last time I did it. I got it from like Dees or Harris on cheap Aliexpress, hair site and the hair tangled, and it was a hot frigging and mess. So I'm very happy um when I saw that luxury tresses, my fab, that she had some hair, because I I rep her hair. Like every hair, I got from that chick, it's good. Like the curly. I did a curly hair, routine video. I got that hair from her. I'Ve got some straight bundles from her all good, solid good good. So if you are in the market for kinky straight bundles yeah, I would definitely recommend checking her out, especially because they have a sale right now, love a sale, and I constructing this wig and making it and thinking about how much I would have paid for the Big chop hair one: it's like less than half the price for like even longer than I want. I was gon na get with them. It'S crazy! It'S crazy! Do it yourself, one more tidbit! I thought I almost forgot to add. I dyed my hair jet-black and I died the blend of the Blundell's, the bundles black as well, and I use like the Revlon Colorstay dye, but that was just another little little bump into making my hair blend with the bundles cuz. That'S one major thing that will mess you up is if your hair and the bundles are like a totally different color. That'S not gon na fly, we're trying to make it as seamless as possible so make it as seamless as possible. You know I mean so. Yes, babes, that's it! That is all for me. This is the hair. Kinky stray sorry. I thought it was Kinki stray just messin with it a bit I'll write, my love, so that is all I have for you today. Please let me know any questions you have down below and yeah. Let me know what do you put on your hair if you have super super curly hair and you want to like straighten it out to make it like stay, you know cuz, my stuff it'll stay for a minute, but it will revert, it will revert back and, Yes, I mean there's no stopping then, and that's fine, but are there any products that you use? That kind of you know elongate the time that you can have your hair straight anyway. Let me know down below your thoughts on this hair, anything that I could have done better, let's just let's just talk it up alright, but until the next video my sweet babies, I will check out later
