Blended My Type 4 Natural Hair With A Kinky Straight Half Wig! | Julia'S Hair | Chev B.

Welcome beautiful people, i am Chev b if you're new to this channel, welcome, wah gwan make sure you are subscribed down below now for this hairstyle, as you guys saw in the beginning of the video, this will be a half of half down style using a half Wig, so i'm starting off with freshly washed hair. I washed my hair about an hour ago. I put some leave-in in there and then i just did some jumbo plaits. Just to you know, keep my hair detangled before i begin the style while i set up and so right now, i'm just going to section my hair, how we'll be doing this style, so i'm just going to leave some of the hair in the front out because We'Re gon na have some leave outs and then, in the back section i put my hair in some jumbo duty braids as i like to call them, and what i'm gon na be using right now is my certified bella scalp oil. I'Ve been using this oil for the last two years. I have exam on the scalp and i have suffered from hair loss and bald spots and all that unfortunate stuff and since using this oil, among other things, i haven't had a bald spot in over a year. So i will be continue using this oil for some continued growth, so um i'll be firstly using some heat on my hair. I haven't used direct heat on my hair, since i did my big chop two years ago, so first i'll be using the tresemme heat protectant and then i'm just going to blow dry. My hair now i've blow dried, my hair already on my channel, but we're going to be using the flat iron later on. So we have to make sure that our hair is protected and we're not going to use the over abundance of heat. Just enough to achieve this style, so the hair that i'll be using today is from julia's hair hair.com, and this hair is in 26 inches and it is the kinky straight wig. So this is a halfway. You guys know that headband, wigs and half wigs have been the thing this year, so i wanted to do something a little bit different with this hair, so i just wanted to switch it up a little bit and do something different and out of my comfort zone. So i'll be putting away the front section of my hair after i blow dried it just to style the wig before i actually move on to style the front section of my hair. So, as you guys saw the weight had about three combs and i'm just going to attach the combs um on my hair itself with the wig cap, just to make sure that it's fitted and snug, no usually wig caps or wigs rather have the adjustable straps inside. So you can just adjust the strap if you want it tighter or looser, and then you have these combs to help to make sure that the wig goes nowhere. Okay, because you don't want to walk around with your wig moving or it falling off in these streets. Now, what i use is this hair oil, this light oil that i usually use on all of my wigs, like it's not heavy, it's really light and then with your wig. You want to also put a little bit of heat protectant on there, because it's humid here - and you want this hair to last as long as possible. Now you can leave it in its kinky straight texture, as so, and with the blow blow dried hair, you could just have a blown out look, but i wanted to try something different. I wanted it to be a little bit straight, but still have that kinky natural type of texture to it. So i'm just going through the wig itself, with my flat iron, i'm doing about two runs through the wig itself and um. I don't want it to be. Like fully straight or like, like a super silky straight type of hair, because i want to make sure that it blends with my hair so we're just gon na do a one or two pass through once i'm done with the the back section or the wig itself. Um it's time to move on to straighten my hair. So guys you see, i look frightful because i don't want heat damage, but i know i use the proper methods to do this. I already um deep condition. My hair, before i use leave-in, to lock in the moisture and all that good stuff, and i also made sure that i used heat protectant and i'm only doing one run through. I don't need to do three four run-throughs with the flat iron because my hair isn't going to be like out out, but i still needed it to be flat like so so this is different. My hair is fine now because i did this two weeks ago before even posting, this video and i wash my hair all that good stuff and it's completely fine. So as long as you do it right, heat is not really your enemy, so i just do a little trim, a light trim because i had a bit of split ends on the end, because i haven't gotten a trim in a long time ever since quarantine haven't Been to my hairstylist to get my yearly deep conditioning and shrimp and then sometime out sometimes i'll just trim my ends myself, but i haven't done that in a minute. So i need to do that. So look out for that video. So for the half up, half down i'm taking some of the hair from the wig itself and then try to blend it with my natural hair. So i'm just going to take the hair tie and get it to be as snug as possible, but also i don't want it to be too tight because i get headaches and um yeah. So we're just going to use a hair tie, make sure that it's fitted and then we're going to move on to trying to blend and style the front section. Now, what i'm going to do to hide the hair tie and also to blend my hair in, is i'm going to take my hair or separate it from the actual um kinky straight hair and just wrap it at the base of the ponytail and then use a Bobby pin to pin it down some people, i see use um lots of your freezing spray um. I don't want the glass to be freezing spray on my natural hair. Okay, we're not doing nothing crazy! Okay! I still want my hair to be there after i've completed this style, so you can use a bobby pin or you can use a elastic band. I just use the elastic band on top of it. I think i twisted it twice, that's it and it stayed in place like i had my hair, like this for at least three days without like removing the band or taking it down, just leaving it as is, and it stayed now, here's my dilemma since it's my First time doing this first time straightening my hair, i didn't know what exactly to use to keep my hair from reverting and for it to also look super neat. So i had the cheese balm edge control and this is the only edge control that i have right now that hasn't caused any white residue on my hair and also keep my hair in place. So i didn't have the wax stick at my local beauty supply store. So i didn't get a wax stick, so this was all i had to use so sometimes girl. You got ta improvise. I was gon na use mousse, but i know from experience using mousse on my hair will cause it to revert and have the wavy look. So um yeah this was all we had. If you had something else that you could use, you could do that and i'm gon na use my pump it up spritz, even though it is the liquid once the pump it up. Spritz dries when you tie it down. Girl, your hair isn't going anywhere, okay anywhere at all, and also it's not a stiff type of feel, which is great. It'S just feels like a neat fit without the stiff type of feel or look and guys. This is how the end result is looking.
