How To: Create Highlights W/ Tape-In Extensions On U-Part Wig...No Damage!

Boys, hey guys, it's here, aoki welcome back to my channel, as you can see today we are doing a highlight well faux, highlight tutorial on a u-part wig, using tape and extensions, and right now you can see me just experimenting on where i actually want to put The tape and extension um literally, i have no experience doing this. I'Ve never even thought about using the tape and extension before the only experience i have with any extension is a um. It'S a clipping extension, so yeah um, i'm like what the hell am i doing so i'm just experimenting exactly where i want to put them trying to figure out exactly how to use them. Of course, i use youtube to figure out exactly how to install them. In my head, but after i kind of get you know the gist of where i want to put them, how they look, i start from the back and you'll actually see that in the next clip um um good, all right so pretty much. I remove the paper from the adhesive and i just stick the sticky part to the bottom of the track. I just take a little small piece and just stick it on. As you can see right, there kind of give you a little demonstration and then i just stick the other part on top and just um clamp them together. If that makes sense, and then i take my flat iron on 360 degrees and just make sure it it's um stuck together that kind of makes it um, i kind of make sure it doesn't move around when i try to just like rub it together with my Fingers of the actual tape it actually slipped out and it freaked me out. I was like what the hell is going on, so i did some more research and found that the flat iron used the heat it actually kind of cemented the adhesive together. So i was like okay, we're just going to do it this way, so you'll see me, do it again. All i do is i take the tape i take. One of the tape ends and i just sectioned it off and i removed the paper. Take that off and i put the um - i put the tape in at the bottom first. I just find it easier to put it at the bottom. First and oh, my gosh, when you have nails, ladies or chins, watching this, it is so freaking hard. So i had to actually use a comb at the beginning when i was doing this um and by the way, if i sound a little knees-laced, because i think i'm getting a cold, i hope i don't have coverage like. Oh my gosh. I hope i don't have freaking covey because i'm like just coming off vacation but yeah, i'm kind of like stuffy, though oh yeah, sorry anyway yeah. So i stick that that one tape it at the bottom - and i rub her onion then as you can see right there boom and then i place another tape in at the top, see how it turned together. Then i used the flat iron and i stick her on top use, the flat irons to cement it together and then voila you have your highlight is pretty simple after this and it's going to be repetitive, it starts to get a lot more simpler after this. If you decide to do this, you'll get that after you actually start to do it, it's not as hard as it seems. It gets a lot simpler. So after this clip, i want to actually speed things up, because it's repetitive um um, hello, hi babes. So from this point on i'm gon na, let you guys watch like i said it's gon na be repetitive um, i'm gon na. Let you guys watch me install these highlights um. By the way, when i install them, it's going to be pretty sporadic so you'll see me, skip a few tracks. Um so it'll be like you'll, see a highlight, then you'll see some black and then you'll see some highlight and then you'll see some black. But again it's super super easy and it's going to be spread because highlights my leave out is black. My natural hair is black. You can kind of see it when you see me like pop out every now and again, my natural hair is jet black, so the majority of the hair is going to be black you'll just see. You know the highlights every now and again um, so yeah, i'm just gon na. Let you guys watch me. Do my thing: whatever you know, whatever yeah, i'm not gon na, be talking so much because your girl's not really a big squad cut anyway. So i just watched you do my thing and yeah enjoy um hello: oh yeah, um um, oh um! Yes, i don't wan na tell you what it is is is, is i can't help it is uh, so this is what the wig is. Looking like right after installing it in my hair, this blonde is cute. It'S definitely getting what i wanted this to get like it's just a cute highlight, but this blonde does nothing for me personally, i think it's kind of like too i don't know it's like too close to my skin or something so what they want to do. Is they want to tone this blonde, so i'm gon na get like a little bit more ashy or something, and then after that, i want to like curl it, and i want to show you guys the final. The final final result, this is what the hair is. Looking like the next day after it is washed toned, and i dried it a little bit with my dryer and it's air dried at the roots um also, i had took my flat iron at the um tape ends and i had just just tightened. The tape ends. A bit like i did um in the video just you know just to tighten the tapes. You can see them there. This is what the unit is looking like prior to me, styling it as you can see it's a lot more ashy, so it like blends with black a lot better, so yeah. I can't wait to actually style her. I want to straighten it and i actually might curl it. I think i was saying earlier or yesterday that i was going to curl it so yeah. I think i'm going to do that and i'll check back in alright. So now i am preparing to straighten the hair just a tad bit. I'M not going to do it too much because i'm still unsure. If i want to curl it or not so you'll see me putting some of my chi oil in the hair um and i'm getting ready to flat iron it with my baby list, titanium flat iron by the way before you um, straighten any hair or to any Type of styling to the hair, i always recommend putting some type of oil in the hair because it leaves it so shiny, smelling so good, all that good stuff, um yeah and i'm just flat ironing here kind of self-explanatory, so i'm gon na. Let you guys watch me fly iron, this gorgeous hair with my ashy highlights, and i am so in love with how this turned out after i toned her is is is is uh is all right, so i'm watching my girl painting, charles in the background. So that's what you're going to hear in the background um. But this is what she's looking like. I decided not to actually straighten the very front, because i wasn't sure if i was going to keep the hair straight or curled so stay tuned. For that i actually have to um wash into my hair, my natural hair, because, as you can see, it is a new part, so i have to have leave out um, so yeah. My liver has to blend with this, so i've been working out and sweating and all that nasty stuff. So i have to wash my hair and after i do all of that and i install her again i'm going to show you the final result. Y'All will see if i actually keep it straight or curl it again. I wanted to leave the front a little bit textured just because i was unsure if i wanted to actually curl it or leave it straight so i'll show the final result as soon as i wash my natural hair, but so far so good she's looking nice. Let me see, let me take it off of the little stand. Yeah she looks pretty cute, though yeah, i think it's gon na look really nice all right, stay tuned, y'all, alright guys. So this is the final look. I know it's kind of like bad lighting and all the stuff, but it's like a week later, since i've done the video um but yeah. This is how she turned out, and i had her correct earlier i'll - probably insert some of my instagram videos or something like that that i did. But this is how she looks, and i am in the like literally, this is the first time i've ever done. Anything like blondes or any highlights, or anything like that, and i am in love um.
