Hi, I'm Brittany and welcome to my first ever YouTube video. I thought I'd kind of let you know a little bit about me to get started, so we don't feel too much like strangers, I'm 23 years old and I'm a qualified animal, bio scientist and I have a buzz cut. So don't get me wrong. I do feel like that I can kind of pull off the look, but the reason for it is that I lost my hair to radiator pretreatment. Last year after I was diagnosed with grade 3 brain cancer and yeah, it's really kind of been a big journey, but I am getting through and I'm going well but basically not. I don't always want to feel edgy or alternative. So it's fantastic to have so many weeks to turn to you in different options in terms of styling, and you know what I can do on those days that I want to feel pretty or you know something just a bit different and yeah. I have tried a lot of different wings out since, and I've tried some fakes and human, so I feel, like I've got a good gauge on what I like and what I don't like and what's good quality and what's not so Glee, and I recently received my First, human hair week from uni, wigs, which I will be showing you today and yeah. I just feel like that. I'M someone that's confident enough to represent people in the medical hair loss community and show them that it's okay to be going through. What they're going through and give them the options and kind of just be someone that they can look to and say? Okay, if she can do it, I can do it too. So yeah definitely keep watching and I will show you my new human hair wig very shortly hi. So I'm back and I pop the wig on and I feel very cute - I put on a little bit of extra makeup and some lashes just because I'm heading out tonight and I'm going to be wearing this out. I just wanted to say that I am NOT an expert in hair or in styling or in content creation in any way, so this is going to be a very simple make, basically like a first impressions kind of video on what I think of the hair, the What I am wearing this is the Chrissy rainy human hair nice week, and it is in the color dark brown and it is 16 inches long. As for the color, it is something that I am not used to, but I really do like it before. I lost all of my hair, I am had light hair and after I lost my hair, I wanted to kind of just be something that was similar to what I was before and I stuck to light a week. I do have a couple of brunette ones, but nothing this dark. So it's really cool and I uploaded a sneak peek on Instagram and the reaction was really positive. So I'm excited to wear it out tonight and see what my friends think of it in person for how it feels it is super soft, and I love it. I think if someone was to come up to me and run their fingers through it, they would think it was my natural hair unless they got too close to the lace and had a look there. There are a couple of little short staticky hairs throughout the week, but then mostly in the UM partying bit at the front, and I think most people kind of have those in their natural hair anyway. So if you want something that does look real, it is a very good wig for that I know some people might think of that as a negative, but it doesn't bother me in any way there's not too many of them. It'S not like it looks like it's breaking or falling apart or anything, so I think they are good too. The length is perfect for me. I love long hair and if I could have something that was down to here or even longer, I would but it just isn't manageable. I find when I do wear longer wigs that I have to bring a brush with me and within like an hour. I have to be brushing it to get the knots out of it. This to me feels like it's going to be manageable and I'm not going to be bringing a brush with me out into the city tonight, so I'm hoping that it meets my expectations there in terms of what I've done with styling. I just took it out of the box and I cut the lace into a rounded hairline for me. Naturally, I have a widow's peak, so that is another advantage of weeks because I hated my widow's peak. So I can avoid that completely and yeah in terms of baby hairs. There were quite a lot of those in the hairline on the week. I am very terrible at styling them. I know there are some people that can master it amazingly and those tutorials out there that do show you how to do that. But I've tried it and it's um it's a nightmare on me, so I plucked a lot of them out, but I kept a few because they do keep the lace at the front. Looking a bit more natural and conceal it a little bit more than if you got rid of them entirely the fit on me. I got a petite because I have no hair and I just have a small head in general too, but it fits in very well. All I did was glue it down at the front. I don't glue it down at the back unless I'm planning on wearing it up in a ponytail, of course, when you, but if you are pulling up a week this bit here, rolls back I'm finding it's not too bad in this week, but a lot of them. It rolls quite a lot, so that is when you would want to definitely glue down there yeah. So that's basically what I have to say for what I think of the week at a physical level. To sum up, my first youtube video. Now I absolutely love my Krissy weave. I think it is gorgeous and I'm super excited to wear it out tonight and see what everyone thinks of that, and I just want to say to anyone that has lost their hair for medical reasons. You are not alone, and if you are suffering - and you don't feel confident in yourself - and you just need to take that step to becoming your old self again, definitely give me any wigs. A look.
